The toastie we had was super tasty and I really enjoyed it. The bread was fresh and the filling delicious. It was a bit odd that they weren’t served on plates, just in cardboard holders, which made eating them awkward. The venue itself has a cool Scandi feel. Only giving 4 stars on account of the fact that it wasn’t super clean- the toilet was grubby and all the glasses/ crockery were slightly sticky

We arrived on Remembrance Day...The place was packed but soon Carrie moved a few tables to seat us. Though we had never been here before we were treated amazingly....The service was prompt, efficient, and very friendly. Carrie made sure that the coffee cups were refilled and the Buttermilk pancakes and sides were tasty and hot! We definitely will be back. By the way even though the place was packed all the waitresses had constant smiles on their faces as they were hustling to make sure people were seated and fed.

Stumbled across this tiny little gem by accident after finding another place we wanted was closed. What a stroke of luck this was! 4 of us walked in at 1250 starving hungry and were told “so sorry but I’ve hardly anything left, I’ve hit maybe 1 chicken and 3 pulled pork” we said “that’ll do” and parted with £36. What arrived was what can only be described as toastie art. The softest brioche/milk bread toasted to perfection and stuffed with all kinds of loveliness. I mean if you’re open til 3 and selling out before 1 you’re doing something right. Well done 👏

Super tasty Korean inspired sandwiches and great coffee. You can tell the owners care about trying to create something great and unique. So all in all, just the sort of place you want when you need a sandwich and/or coffee. Thanks guys!!

Popped in for a coffee early afternoon as we needed a caffeine kick and prefer to use Independents. There seemed little food offerings to tempt you (and those that were on display didn’t appear vegan nor were marked as such; so didn’t grab our attention) which was fine as coffee was the reason to pop in. Ordered two oat lattes and we were lucky enough to time it such that people were leaving one (of two) large tables so we could sit ourselves in comfort looking onto the town hubbub. Coffees were swiftly delivered to us and were decent; in truth I prefer mine hotter to prolong the drinking and these were a tad tepid and quickly quaffed. Guess you’d need to time your visit to optimise the choice and grab a table space. In truth nothing to complain about nor rave about.

Gorgeous sandwiches with beautiful fresh baked bread. Lovely coffee. Get in early though as they soon sell out. Took us 3 attempts to finally arrive in time to sample their delights but well worth the wait.

Fantastic coffee, great service, lovely friendly staff. Fab toasties with original and creative fillings. Nice light Japanese style bread thats filling but not heavy in your belly like traditional wheat based bread. Can't wait to visit again and try another one.

We just stumbled across this place and glad we did. Food was amazing and I would return just for the French toast. My partner got a bacon and eggs toastie which he said was also really nice. Lovely atmosphere and decor

Honestly the best coffee I've had, and my partner said the same! The Ruben is to die for and the Original was so good, my partner loves bacon and said it was the only place that's ever done bacon right!!

Popped in here to get a coffee and pastry. The coffee was good. There was no sign of any bread and 3 pastries/cakes to choose from on the counter. We went for the cinnamon bun which was a disappointment - 6 yrs old described it as not nice and dough-ey, which pretty much sums it up! Setaing is also very limited. Unlikely to visit again.

Spectacular - lovely lunch. Calling those sandwiches toasties really does not do them justice! Great flavours, and adding the black garlic ketchup to the the egg Sando was like adding super posh brown sauce!

Good quality coffee but served too hot. Poor selection of cakes, only two types available that I could see. They looked delicious but were stacked, uncovered by the till where staff and customers stood. Also some flies and wasps in the shop so decided not to try any.

Family of 5 (6 including Luna the dog) visited on a busy day in Windermere. Various other eateries/coffee shops had queues. However, Toast are happily at the quieter end of the village and we were seated inside. The vibe inside is relaxed with a Scandinavian...

Had such a great coffee (latte)- best one yet in the UK- as an Aussie from Victoria-,known for their coffee scene, this was a pleasure to drink... so I ordered another one. Perfectly done, I'll be back.

Amazing Sunday dinner. Prob the best we’ve had in years. Really fresh, beef cooked to perfection (other half very fussy meat eater) - veggie nut roosts tasty and veggies really fresh. Good service. Lovely cosy decor. Would definitely come again.

We had a great evening at Lago. Their meat and cheese charcuterie board was excellent with a great selection of produce. We loved their extensive drinks menu and I have to call out their excellent margaritas! A great spot!

My wife and I are regular visitors to Grasmere and make a point of visiting Lucia's every time. If you're not familiar with their set up, they have a tiny takeaway shop on the village green and a larger shop around the corner where they have a few stools in the window where you can have a coffee and cake while watching the world go by. Their coffee is probably the best in Grasmere and their bacon and egg foccacias are to die for. Oh, and the cakes aren't bad either 😋. Take your own cup and you get 20p off your drink 👍🏽.
