Worst take away in town and not even cheap! We ordered through Just Eat, the food came on time and was warm. That’s the only nice thing I can say about it. It really is basic, when it says cheese burger it really is just a thin piece of meat and a cheese slice in a cheap bun. It actually described the meat as steak which is a joke, looked like it could’ve been dog meat. I’d expect this if it was cheap but it was the same as other take aways in town which are far better. I recommend you avoid.

After browsing just eat for somewhere for a Friday night treat, found this place. They did "buttermilk" coated chicken which is a favourite of mine, my partner wanted a garlic cheese pizza and we ordered some nachos too. I'm not joking the chicken was the absolute worse chicken I've ever eaten, after one bite I didn't eat any more is was disgusting, how they can charge £7 for overcooked chicken that has absolutely no taste is beyond me! The garlic cheese pizza was clearl the cheapest frozen pizza they could find and tasted of plastic, the nachos where about the best bit but still they wasnt brilliant. Do not recommend eating from here.

Looking for excellent home cooked food with real vegetables and friendly service look no further. Caters for all as Menu includes vegan as well as vegetarian and gluten free options and alternative sides as standard. Just round the corner from the bus station you won't regret your visit. Word of caution, just make sure you have enough time as not fast food although it is well worth the wait!

I am a regular at The Toadstool Cafe. The reason being is because the food is amazing. Not many places in Louth have such a wide menu of gluten free and vegan choices. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners Steph and Marie and they go out of their way to not only please the customers but to make sure the atmosphere is pleasant too. When I don’t have time to eat in I often take away the pies, puddings and cakes to enjoy at home. They’re a massive hit with all my family. It’s so nice to go into a small cafe and be able to enjoy delicious home made food, and pleasant company from the owners too.

Popped in for breakfast and it was absolutely amazing. The bacon and sausage was amazing and the egg was beautiful. The atmosphere is amazing. Also the cake is homemade and so are the pies and cheesecake which you can take home and they are amazing. fantastic food will deffo come again Coffee is excellent. Although a previous review has stated that there isn’t a toilet there is one only a minutes walk away for public to use as it is only a small cafe.

We stopped in for coffee as no where else seems to be open on a Sunday morning. The coffee was okay, but there were no toilets (I was advised to use the ones at the bus station over the road which are 20p to use).

Lunched here, quaint appealing decor with a cozy atmosphere. Food was excellent. Goats cheese with lentils and Chicken, leek and cider pie. Good salad and jacket potato with the cheese and well cooked vegetables, chips and gravy with the pie. Had a mixed berry pie with custard to follow. A good choice of pies and vegetarian dishes. They also do breakfasts and there are children type things of x y & z with chips. If you want a snack they do a list of sandwiches etc and lots of homemade cakes available. Care taken with the menu if you want to know if it is vegan, gluten free etc plenty of options for vegetarians. Enjoyed or experience, a bit of a hidden jem parallel with the main Eastgate but just yards from the bus station.

Have breakfasted twice now at the Toadstool. Good choice of dishes and friendly service. Excellent value for money. Just around the corner from the Louth bus station so am ideal place for a drink or something to eat while waiting for a bus. Also sells award winning pies and desserts.

What an amazing cafe! The food was spectacular and so many veggie/vegan options. A wonderful warm welcome for both dogs and hoomans. An absolute treasure of a place in an area that is so unfriendly, towards dogs and their owners.

I travel quite extensively throughout Britain and Europe and it always gives me great pleasure when I happen to stumble across a new and exciting place to eat. Toadstool cafe is defiantly up there as one of my new favourite places to visit when I'm in lincolnshire. The food is varied and plentiful with a great British flavour. Not only are you able to order the great british fry up but there is also a great variety of vegetarian and vegan meals on offer. The ladies that run this establishment have only just taken over and I have to say although it is early days they have made an incredible start on this new endeavour. If you live in louth or just passing through you really need to stop and take time to sample the home cooking of these two ladies. The prices are pretty impressive too!!!

Its early days for this cafe/restaurant as they try to establish themselves. However they already offer a wide range of cheap and tasty meals, including standard english fry up breakfasts and lunches as well a good range of other standard fare. However they also offer tasty veggie and vegan options and including breakfasts, main courses, deserts, and treats.

We visited here for breakfast after a very busy morning packing up our tent to go home after a stay at a nearby campsite (extra points for being dog friendly!). All very hungry there were plenty of options to choose from and even the option to build your own breakfast which was great for my daughter who wouldn’t eat a full breakfast but would still like certain items! The staff were lovely, the service was quick and the food was delicious! Extra shoutout to the iced latte and the big buts breakfast. It was amazing! We will definitely be returning when we are back in Anderby. Thank you!

Spotted from the car park and decided to stop for a coffee. There was some seating outside so perfect for anyone with dogs. It was a beautiful spring day so we also decided to have some cakes and a cheese scone. I have to say the cakes were fab and the cheese scone was the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

After having had a fantastic experience here midweek during the summer, we promised ourselves we would be back for Sunday dinner. We booked by email, which was confirmed within minutes, Howe when we arrived there was no record of the booking. I was able to find the confirmation email. We were told that we could be accommodated but it would have to be in the bar area as there were 3 other bookings which already had restaurant tables reserved. We were advised to pick a table and they would set it up for us. We showed them where we would like to sit and waited for someone to bring some seating to the table. After 10 minutes we were still standing so found a different table which had seats in place. (We had already informed them that my husband was recovering from a broken ankle) Eventually the waitress came and gave us cutlery and placemats but no salt and pepper. She took our meat orders and I asked whether the veg would include cauliflower cheese, as I would like to not have it, as I have an allergy/intolerance. We waited a further half an hour for our meals, which came with the vegetables served on a tray, including the cauliflower cheese. There was only one spoon which was resting in the cheese sauce so I had to request another one. I then dished myself up a spoonful of swede/carrot mash and one broccoli floret. I did try to dish up some cabbage but found that when lifted from the plate, the cabbage came out from under the cauliflower cheese and covered in the sauce, so I had to not have cabbage. After the meal, the waitress came to clear the table. She dropped some vegetables on the tablecloth and asked if we wanted puddings to which I responded yes. After waiting for 38 minutes with no sign of the waitress to clean the table or take our pudding order, we decided to leave. On taking our payment the bar staff asked if everything had been ok, so I mentioned the above. He simply said, ‘sorry about that ‘but the mains were ok?’ I chose not to continue with the conversation, as my husband had overheard the barman say that he was going to rip someone’s head off. We are really disappointed as we had been telling everyone about how good our experience in the summer was. To top it all, there was a very large dog in the area which smelled strongly and a group of young children also came and used the pool table right next to us, despite there being a notice advising that nobody under 16 was allowed to use it. Another customer did point it out but was ignored. One or two little things we could have overlooked/forgiven but unfortunately there were too many today and we won’t be back

An unassuming little place that offers a friendly welcome and excellent, attentive service. It's got a cosy, slightly bio/eco feeling with very interesting plants and an insect hotel outside the door. Menu is limited but more than adequate for a light lunch or afternoon tea. Nice music playing unobtrusively in the background too. A really great touch is their bottomless cup for tea or coffee. Blink and you'll miss this place as you drive along the busy and fast A52 between Boston and Skegness. It's on a cross-roads just after the main Friskney village turn-off travelling NE. But DON'T miss it because it really is a worthwhile pit-stop. Opposite, down the lane towards the Wash, there is some brilliant wild walking.
