Wow what rude and vile staff coffee was cheap and cold stuff and cake was dry won’t be using again why run a business when you can’t be bothered

I would have shared a photo but I ate it too quickly, with an amazing view and atmosphere around. The hot drinks are lovely.

Had a cheese & tomato toastie here with a "milky coffee".... Two lovely ladies run it Jill & Jo... Prices for food and drink are reasonable, and good sized portions...🌊🌊🌊😍😍😍

We visited this cafe this afternoon and I found it to be immaculately clean. I witnessed two members of staff washing their hands while I was there. The coffee were was brilliant and toasted teacake. The staff,service, quality and the price was great. We will visiting it again.

Ingoldmells break (13-06-24) We went over to Mablethorpe with the dog. It was a warm day so stopped at the beachfront cafe and got a table out front. I went in and ordered a couple of bacon rolls and a drink. Went back out and the friendly staff bought the food out. A great view and a short walk to the dog friendly beach.

Just had breakfast. Quick service, lovely food, good breakfast choices. Very pleasant and helpful staff. 5 mins walk from the car park and lovely view of the sea.

Lovely place to enjoy a breakfast, great food for all the family. Staff were fantastic, just like the beach front view. we're regulars at mabblethorpe and will definitely be coming again. 😊

Amazing cafe on the front ,the new owners are very friendly and are doing an excellent job....The coffee is piping hot and lovely, the bacon ,sausage and egg buns are tasty and delicious....Great place to sit and watch the world go by and have a tasty drink and snack.....Keep up the good work ,we will see you again soon...

Lovely cafe set on the beach front. Fabulous sandwiches, bacon sarnies are absolutely scrummy which lots of tasty bacon!! Nice man who delivers orders to nearby beach huts. Great place!

I stopped off here during my coastal walk round England’ for the Motor Neurone Disease Association; great value food, but staff were varied in friendliness and helpfulness. The guy who took my order was friendly and helpful, but when I asked the manager(?) if she minded if I charged my phone for a few minutes, she was quite abrupt and said yes she would mind because of the cost of electricity. . . It actually costs less than 1p to fully charge and I was just asking for a few minutes; I would happily give 1p if the cost was really the issue. Words fail me. This unhelpfulness was a real shame as the food etc was great.

We have used this cafe for years my family and friends,the food is good and very reasonable prices, the gentleman who serves and take orders is absolutely lovely and friendly,but his wife definitely needs to retire,so rude to customers and obviously hates her job. we won't be using this place again sadly, my sympathy to her husband.

Once again a lovely toasted bacon, egg and cheese sandwich at The Lookout Cafe. Our treat on the weekend after a long bicycle ride through the surrounding countryside. Great views and friendly owners. AND THEN…… After this review above, I wish to amend my review to read “shame on you”. Tried to order the toasted bacon, egg and cheese we have ordered successfully on multiple occasions (on bread as we don’t like rolls), only to be told they can’t make it for us as it’s summer holidays and they are way too busy. At that point there was one table outside and the cook was outside smoking. 4 slices of bread toasted with bacon and egg was all we asked for and you turned us away. Well done on your entrepreneurial skills. You won’t see us again, but you don’t seem to mind chasing people away. Got a delicious toasted sandwich from the snack shack further down the beach. So much competition and you do that. Good luck

This is the best breakfast in Mablethorpe. I always get the sausage and mushroom sandwich which is delicious. My partner gets the full English which has fried bread which is quite literally to die for.

Not fantastic at all had a breakfast bap with sausage tomato an mushrooms in the tomato held loads of water an it leaked all into bap made it totally soggy couldn’t pick up to eat asked if I could get a fresh roll to transfer the sausage etc into to be rudely told what did you expect ordering tomatoes an chucked me a fork yet my partner had tomatoes in his no problem so explain that one !!

Fab food on Monday as we arrived, and a very welcome large breakfast on the Tuesday as we left. Hosts were great, food cooked exactly as requested and served with a smile. Altho the owners have changed over the years this place is fab and well worth a visit

Lovely cafe on the beach. Reasonable prices compared to others in the location. Clean and the staff are lovely. Staff saw me struggling to carry three hot drinks down to the beach with the dog and carried them down to my children with me. Thanks!

Only place to offer gluten free chips in Mablethorpe, very clean, very reasonably priced and very friendly.

Rude and condescending female owner, the other male owner was ok. I was sitting down for 5 mins and deciding what to order, when she yelled at me and my mother "its a cafe love, not a seating area". Don't know why these guys are in business if they are going to be rude to customers, there was no need for that.

Excellent food and freshly cooked. You can sit inside or outside. Friendly owners who couldn’t do enough for us on our visit today.

Breakfast was fine apart from not able to remove items. Didn't want extras but to be told couldn't remove baffled me. Been again since and was slightly after 11 to be told breakfast not being served and shown the board basically saying I couldn't read. The young girl that was working is very polite but the vile owners well I get the impression they don't want custom. Not be visiting again and neither will all our family. But they not be bothered. Will return when they don't own it anymore which hopefully won't be long. Will walk on by to the next cafe as their manners are much better.

This place is great . Good value food , friendly service , sit in or sit out and the best views over the best beach in the land . You cant come to Mablethorpe without a trip here . The breakfast is the perfect start to the day

We had a nice meal and the service was great. The prices are fair.

Stopped off for a quick breakfast and brew enjoying a beach walk with the dogs. Unfortunately met with an unfriendly service and a feeling that they must make enough money to not want customers to return.

Visted this place early morning to find it was the only cafe in mablethorpe open. Clean, friendly staff Good prices , Great location will be returning.

Read loads of good reviews about this place, so as a late breakfast we decided to pop here with the family and the dog for a nice treat! We nabbed a couple of bacon and sausage sandwiches, but our son fancied a crepe which they unfortunately didn't sell so nabbed one from just down the beach. We're sitting outside with our son while we're finishing our sandwiches, then the lady at the cafe comes out, went to our son directly, and told him he couldn't eat his crepe - Saying "You can't eat it here, its MY tables, MY chairs" very rudely. Initially couldn't tell if it was silly banter, but nope she was dead serious! Was shocked, heard such nice things about the staff! They don't even sell crepes, and we'd bought two whole breakfast meals from them! It was just our son sitting with us, causing no harm, quietly to himself. There were loads of spare seats and tables - It wasn't like he was taking up someone elses space! He was just shocked, he has learning difficulties so he took it all rather personally. Its not peak season, there were loads of spare seats, not many people around, and he was causing zero inconvience - there was just no need for it. Do they tell off kids eating ice creams they got from down the road while they sit with their parents who have bought bacon sandwiches? Its just a wee bit overzealous on a quiet Sunday morning! The funny thing is, he was going to get a bacon sandwich from them for the road! Clearly after that he didn't! Really tainted the last day of the holiday, which is a shame.

Stop here a lot for coffee and a sausage or bacon cob when walking the dogs, always first class. Owners very friendly and helpful. Good choice and very clean.

Fantastic location, friendly service and good value, we stayed in a nearby beach hut and over the week had various breakfasts, burgers, jackets, sandwiches etc from here - all very good, we will definitely return.

Brilliant. food was really tasty and fresh.. the owner was great 👍 cannot praise them enough for there help and patience as my son has food allergies.. very thorough checking ingredients.. .very clean place 🙂

Called in today for a bite to eat, great service and really friendly, Food is nice, well cooked and packaged, very good value for money, it's a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by 10/10.

On the beach front and went 2 days running for lunch with the family. Fantastic friendly staff, not too long a wait and tables were available. Staff cleaned down the tables and offered a table service. A good selection on the menu and the food was delicious. We tried the tuna jacket potato, chips, egg & bacon baps, chicken nuggets.... pop along and try for yourself.

A great place,good friendly proprietor s,excellent food and drink .highly recommend a visit or two.

Great location right on the beach. Lovely views. Not an extensive menu and dishes are not there to set the world on fire but what they do, they do so very well. Great tea and coffee. Burgers seem good quality too which is not always the case at the English seaside. Friendly and efficient service.

Quite sheltered seating area. Nice bacon butty and coffee.

First time out after lockdown restrictions lifted we had fish and chips outside the staff were very professional and the food was delicious

Lovely snack shop, chicken burger very nice and chips not greasy really tasty. Service to order slow but i can only put this down to covid-19 restrictions. Definitely worth the walk on.

This is a good place to people watch. Right on the sea front promenade, near to the beach huts. Food prices were very reasonable, but we only had coffee. Clean, good service.

Lovely little cafe. Cheap Tea and Coffee @ £1. The pots of Appleby's Ice-cream are scrumptious. Great Staff and Great Service. Plenty of outdoor seating "looking out" across the beach, as well as seating inside.

We loved this little beach front cafe with its al fresco seating overlooking one of the cleanest and best beaches in the UK. The service was great and the prices good . The Breakfast is superb at only £5 - Two Lincolnshire sausages , 2 cuts of quality bacon , friend bread , beans , egg, mushrooms and tomatoes and the best view . It has certainly become one of our must place visit places when in Mablethorpe

Fantastic food, great service, friendly staff, panoramic views.

Visited with my husband and young son whilst on holiday nearby. We had decided to spend a day at the beach and hired a beach hut so The Lookout was the obvious choice for lunch. There was the usual choice on the menu but the fact that it was cooked to order made it and fresh and hot. The staff were very friendly as soon as I said we’d hired a beach hut they offered to deliver it to us when it was ready instead of us waiting. Now that is service !! It arrived on a tray with cutlery and the all various sauces that we could possibly want, which was very thoughtful of them. The food and drinks were very reasonable priced especially for a café on the main seafront,there’s not many places that you can get lunch for 3 for under a tenner. Overall a very enjoyable lunch. I would definitely recommend this café especially if you are hiring a beach hut.

I wouldnt recommend this cafe it ford is basic and bland and could do with cooking longer on the plus side its not expensive but the food shows that, we may have visited on a bad week because the girls in there seemed bored

There are a lot of little cafes along the seafront but what sets this is aside is the friendly couple that run it, making time to have a chat whilst still working hard preparing the cooked-fresh-to-order food. Whether just want a nice cuppa or a full meal they have everything here. They do gluten free bread and chips and also soya milk so it’s great for vegies and vegans!!! The food is yummy, no complaints there and I even got a free side salad with my burger on request. It’s my new go-to spot on the sea front

Owners really friendly and cheap enough for a mug of coffee (£1) and the ability to duck out of the cold for a bit. Nice views

Not the best coffee in the world but a nice dog friendly venue. Lovely outlook and nice owners just need to look at the coffee they serve Latte not pleasant.

We have used the lookout loads of times it is in a nice location in mablethorpe food very good aswell just very relaxing on a nice sunny day day looking out to sea.

Enjoyed a tasty breakfast at this little gem of a cafe. They made our 2 little dogs very welcome.... they got a biscuit too. Very friendly owners. A fab view.

This is by far our favourite place to eat on holiday. The couple who run it are amazing & can't be anymore helpful. The food is fresh & beautiful. Only a stone's throw away from our chalet & they even bring the food out if you don't wait inside for it to cook. Prices are the lowest around yet quality is high end. We have been eating here for over 10 years & it just keeps getting better!!!

We stayed in Mablethorpe for the weekend and went to the cafe several times. Its just on the beach side, the prices and food are very good, the service was quick and the staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

This little cafe is great for grabbing a quick bite to eat whilst on the beach, and I can highly recommend the milky coffee

One of the best places to sit to enjoy the views of the sea. A friendly, family run cafe with great selection of snacks, breakfasts, hot and cold drinks, all for reasonable prices. There is a large seating area outside with stunning views of the beach and sea, and across the unspoilt coastline. Well worth heading for, if you’re looking for somewhere to sit and relax. The owners are very welcoming indeed.

Popped in here before setting off for a days walking. Full English excellent value. Great little cafe right on the front great view of the beach. Seating both inside and out ideal when warm and sunny. The owners where both excellent hosts and look forward to my next visit.

We visited Mablethorpe in March as a family with a young baby, a toddler and a dog. After a bitterly cold and windy walk along the lovely beach we needed to warm up so me and the kids popped into the lookout while my husband carried on walking the dog. I knew we would get a lovely welcome from the couple who run it as we have popped in before, but they exceeded expectations. They put the heater on just for us to warm us up, helped me with my toddler as I had the baby in a carrier, made a smaller hot chocolate for the toddler and were so friendly and chatty. The lemon meringue pie was yummy and they even gave the dog a treat when they finished their walk. Can't wait to go back and try the food on our next visit to Mablethorpe.

Me and my wife had a very nice coffee and sandwiches very nice and fresh and very good price staff are very helpful and friendly and helpful

Only tried their 99 ice cream and coffee. If you like big ice creams or like to share then head here. I bought 2, 1 for me and 1 for my 3yr old daughter I think there should be a kids option or if I went again I would share with her! Coffee also good.

This cafe is on the seafront, a couple of steps from the sand, the owners are lovely and the food is good, cooked fresh & excellent value.

This cafe is right on the front,with a great sea view,it has outside eating as well as a clean cafe inside ,good friendly staff,a decent assortment of food to suit all tastes,and there is an ice cream set up near the door,which of course we couldn't pass without buying the delicious treat.highly recommended.

The couple who run this place are simply lovely nothing is to much trouble for them at all and the food is lovely freshly cooked great view from the window could sit there all day

Had a cuppa here whilst the children took part in the beach activities and enjoyed it. The staff where so friendly and even provided the dog with fresh water,price was cheap as well copared to other cafes we visited.

Right on the promenade "looking out" over the glorious sandy beach. This little cafe is everything you would want. Spotlessly clean. Food is well cooked and very good value. Breakfasts are my particular favourite. Gets my vote for the best cup of coffee in town. The owners are really friendly and go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Love it!

This small beach side caste is idealy situated for us because we are based at the far end off the promenade and when see walk into the town centre it's an ideal halfway stop of for a cuppa or evec a sandwichi had a walk early one morning and must have caught them just opening and decided to have a bacon sarnie and just sit and relax

We always call in here when we are in Mablethorpe. They serve a very nice cup of tea and coffee. Staff are very pleasant. Its located very close to the fair overlooking the beach. There is a small seating area inside and around five to six tables outside. Small menu available . Cannot comment on the food as we have never eaten there, but what we seen looked quite good.

this is a back street cafe on the sea front where you can sit and overlook the beach while having either a cold drink or a cuppa great for when the sun is shining and wanting to watch the tide come in

home cook food from some great people ,cooked as you want it sit inside and watch thee world go by or sit outside and be part of a busy seaside town ,Pat & Dennis make you feel welcome very down to earth ,brilliant place you have to make the trip and eat here 5star 10-10

Great place to stop on the promenade for a coffee etc, served in mugs and piping hot. the people serving have a pleasant attitude.

The people that own this lovely little cafe are ever so friendly and make the best cup of coffee and bacon butty I have ever tasted away from home. The outside tables are kept exceptionally clean and the seating is quite comfortable. Situated on the sea front you can relax while watching families having fun on the beach, people having donkey rides, and others paddling/swimming in the sea. Not only is this the perfect little cafe for friendliness, relaxation and comfort, it is also very reasonable in its pricing. This cafe is a winner all round.

We called for coffee ,had two cappachinos,they was very good hot , large and at £1.40 each good value. There was sweetners as well as sugar and great views .Did not eat but the food going out looked tasty,will try it next time.
