Beautiful freshly cooked food to order, make take a little longer to come out during busy times but really worth the wait and everyone is super friendly...beautiful garden out back with cute little beach huts for the warmer weather and dog friendly inside and out. Will definitely be back

Sourcing a good breakfast is the measure of a good break away in my books; on this occasion, nearest was best (not that we tried anyone else's). Filling up on breakfast to lock up the hunger 'til the evening, with a little help from coffee and cakes in the afternoon, is our usual strategy for a few days caravanning. Our nearest was a delightfully friendly, family run business, a traditional beach cafe, that serves up traditional breakfasts and bagels, later becomes a bar. In early October the custom was pretty slow, so the service was quick and personal. Situated at the entrance to the beach, surrounded by campsites and caravan parks, it's the obvious choice for many. I always prefer to give my custom to smaller independent outfits and this fits the bill, the local folk, running a local business and making a damn good job of it. So that was breakfast sorted for every morning. We did sample the coffee and cakes one afternoon, very tasty ground coffee and all the sweetness and sugariness you could wish for from the select home made cakes on offer. But we did not return for any evening shenanigans, leave that to the younger ones. We were made to feel very welcome, as were local workers using the cafe as their watering hole. You know that if the locals are using it, it's not going to be a bad place and we were certainly not disappointed. I suspect it gets very busy in the summer.

Favourite beach bar/restaurant great food, great menu, wide choice of drinks

This place is a little gem! I visited twice with my dog whilst staying on a nearby campsite. The inside is more spacious than it looks from outside, warm and inviting with lovely food and even doggy ice creams. It is very dog welcoming inside but also outside in the garden, there are picnic benches, each with a bowl of water and 3 cute little beach huts for a more sheltered dining experience. Staff are lovely and friendly, service prompt and food excellent. Highly recommend.

Lovely cafe, decor is really nice & food excellent. We stayed nearby and had breakfast here each morning with our 2 doodle dogs who were very happy with the sausages on offer! Dogs made very welcome and various treats on sale for them too. Cooked breakfasts were delicious and the cake was also really good. Very friendly staff too - can’t wait to come back. Worth checking opening hours before you visit as I believe the cafe closes altogether during winter months 😊

Came in for the first time and was so surprised at what a professional and amazing cafe we had run into. Food was great, service was amazing. Definitely will be returning.

Had delicious breakfast, a vegetarian full breakfast, a sausage bap and 2 coffees. The staff were friendly, service was quick. The cafe was quiet (a weekday out of school holidays) so the atmosphere was very pleasant to sit and enjoy a leisurely meal. Our little dog was welcome inside. There was also an outside garden seating area and customer toilets. Positioned across from the car park and next to the beach. Highly recommend.

Tried the large breakfast, more like a transport cafe breakfast, tinned tomatoes with the toast dumped on the plate, toast was soggy, 2 out of 10. Not good value for money at all. A bit of advice- place the toast on a side plate, grill a nice fresh tomato and place the beans in a separate bowl

At the entrance to the beach and next to car park so if you need anything you don't need to walk ages to get there.

Lovely cafe just off a beautiful sandy beach (one of the best in the uk). Food and drink reasonable a price, not at all the usual seaside rip off, but good quality for the money. Also sell ice cream for humans and dogs, and reasonably priced beach stuff.

Great place, great atmosphere/ambience, very dog friendly. A swinging place, helpful staff and a good selection of all kinds of food. Value for money. The scone was lovely. Fab coffee, nice comfortable seats and couches. I certainly recommend this place.

Went for breakfast, it was quite busy but the food was lovely. The coffee is worth calling for anytime of the day.

Fab dog friendly cafe, hidden gem, great service

Had to wait 50 minutes for two teacakes with butter. The butter (one individual portion) was placed on top of tea cake and put into a brown paper bag. The result was a buttered bag and dry teacake. Cost £2.50 each. Was told they were busy and everything was made fresh to order. I presume I was waiting for the dough to prove and then made into teacakes. People were waiting over an hour for a sandwich. They were told if they want fast service to go to McDonald's. Won't be returning.

£6.90 for 2 coffees from a machine is pretty expensive

We had a lovely break at the café. We had delicious iced latte $4 and a toasted tea cake. Prices are a little high. The atmosphere is wonderful and lots of outdoor seating.

Superb oasis of calm and really fab atmosphere. I can heartily recommend the milkshakes...they have a doggy menu too...just awesome!

Quirky cafe near the beach. We had the medium breakfast which was really good and very filling. A recommended place to stop for a fresh coffee. A dog friendly place.

I contacted Jason at the cafe as we wanted to celebrate my mother in laws birthday with a cake in an area which has very special memories for her. Jason decorated one of the beach huts and organised the most delicious coffee and walnut cake. Jason and his staff looked after us very well and they were very attentive, checking to see if we needed anything during our celebrations. It was all a lovely surprise to the birthday girl who thoroughly enjoyed herself. We have visited the cafe before and always love the food and atmosphere so it was great that we were able to celebrate here. Many thanks again to you all, we will see you again! x

Such a pity we found this place on the last day of holiday . Doesn't look inviting from the inside, but the food is top quality, the service great as is the atmosphere. Try the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. A large portion at £6.95. Coffee also great 10/10 thanks

Visit here often for best breakfast ever. Coffees are lovely. Best service and all food is cooked and prepared fresh. I would recommend it.

When we 1st went a good 4 years ago now it was brilliant the food was on par,staff was chatty etc. Went in yesterday and couldn't wait to leave how we feel it's gone down big time. The coffee we waited a good 15-20 minutes then when it did arrive it wasn't that hot at all. We won't be going back not the same!!!

It's just so cool to eat in the garden, there's a doggy under every table and everyone is friendly, there are little houses where you can sit and be protected from the rain outside

Nice little place friendly staff worth a visit if your out this way

Arranged a small surprise birthday for my wife. The staff laid out a table inside and the whole party went well. The food was tasty and arrived in a reasonable time given it was peak time. Its worth stopping by en route..

Just had a visit to the Cafe, great food and hospitality, however spoilt by the smell of dogs (far to many within the Cafe) and toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned for days.

Visited today for lunch and a coffee. Really friendly staff, food was very tasty and cooked fresh. Special touch with a dog sausage in its own dish, made us both smile. Really good price for fresh good quality food. Visited

Loved this place and had a terrific snack and drink here. Friendly service. The beach is awesome and lots of info on clouds in the surfers watchtower.

Met for a catch up with an old friend. Weren't rushed as we lingered over a cup of tea before eating. Food was v good and reasonably priced. Will return.

Had the best full English your money will buy today (7/4/24).but I'm afraid if you have a large campervan then you'll be upset because (and I don't think this is anything to do with the cafe) we returned to our camper on the carpark outside the cafe to find a fine on our windscreen wiper because our vehicles length spilled into the parking bay behind us, the carpark was not full by any means! Not only that I bought a 2 hour ticket knowing we would be only an hour tops as this was our only reason for visiting,so 2 hour ticket for 1 bay or 2 bays for 1 hour each look at it however you like I paid fairly,greedy greedy council, after a poor start to the season due to rain too. I'll pay the 35 pounds but sadly won't be coming back ever again, such a shame the establishment deserves the business but the council won't get another penny of mine.

Can be very busy. Make sure you go early enough to bag a seat. Once you have, you order at the counter, and food and hot drinks are brought out to your table. The numbers are painted on toy spades screwed into the table tops. Everything is made fresh to order, so be prepared to wait a while, but it's worth it. Fantastic bacon sandwiches. Dog friendly too, but they are only welcome in the outside garden and the huts, not inside. Access to the garden is at the right side of the building as you look at it from the car park.

Went it to just have coffee, lovely place. Cosy vibe inside, outdoor seating looked nice, service was nice and quick, but they did allow dogs inside was the only downside.

Located in a very nice quiet location on the East Coast. A very nice beach too.

Parking is easy now. Machines installed will read your card so ap no longer essential. Nice little cafe well worth a visit after a couple of hours on the beach

CAFE is great. Food was delicious. What else is there here..? PARKING is cashless (see photo of current charges). TOILETS were closed (but you're going to the cafe, so not an issue). DOG-FRIENDLY BEACH is vast and sandy. (There's a beach shop too, but didn't go in there).
