Had food here recently had a mixed grill portions very generous food piping hot service was amazing as always out front staff were polite and helpful the manager sasha was very nice and polite

Had food beer garden great atmosphere and cheap £5 for a meal great.

We ate here today from the feed a family for £15 menu. Fish n chips and green thai curry, for the adults. Then fish bites, beefburger and spag bol for the kids. Desserts 2.99 each, 4 apple betty and a brownie. Food was delicious no complaints, desserts were likewise delicious. Plenty of food for everyone. 100% for food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Thank you

I've gone to the kids area and a women called nia is very friendly she great with the kids. my kids love coming to the soft play when she working as she always seem to make us feel welcome and more than that my kids got disability problems and she knows how to handel any situation and make them feel safe she always happy to help. i highly recommend going to brewers fayre if you want food and a chilled out drink.as there entertainment for the kids while you dine in. the food there a great and fairly affordable and the staff go above and beyond p.s they do amazing deserts and am addicted to the coffee and hot chocolate machine.

The food: Two types of lettuce on different plates were brown on the edges Chips were only luke warm Garlic bread was cold, tough and chewy But, the most worrying part was that the coleslaw was OFF, it was terribly off too - it stank (smelled like gone off ham). It's a no, from me. Not ever again.

Waited over a hour for food. Had raw burger needed to be sent back and recooked.

Fish and chips were rubbery and swimming in grease.They said it had just come out if fryer and if they did another it would come out the same. Clearly had been left under the hot lamp too long as mushy peas had formed a crust! Don't tell someone who's cooked for 40 years that was normal. It was lazy cooking and sloppy work attitude. Don't lie to customers. Did get a refund and left without dinner. Just awful.

I booked for a party of 16 adults for a family reunion on 12 April ,the staff were really friendly, when I ordered the food Simon who served me was very thorough with checking for allergies which was not clear on the menu ,he really did go out of his way to check to make sure and then the 2 people had something else to eat instead.The food came out all together and we all enjoyed what we had ,the atmosphere was lovely as there was another big party there as well ,the staff was friendly and helpful and asked if the everything was ok .All my family was happy leaving here and full .Thank you to the staff that served our food and made our reunion a rememberable one .

Ran out of chicken gammon lasagne so had the fish! 4th time lucky....

Absolutely appalling... the group we was with had they're starter and they main before we had our starters and we ordered same time ... the attitude on the man behind the bar with glasses was shocking also .. never going there again

Headed here for food after a hike with my sister and niece. We didn't book ahead and although very busy due to Easter holidays they gave us a table. Ypu could see that the staff were really busy but the customer service was excellent. We were told that there would be a 45min wait for food as it was so busy but I think we waited about 30mins in total. When the food did come, it was delicious. Hot and very filling. We all had something different, and it really was lovely. I would highly recommend a visit.

Here for breakfast which was fantastic especially the hash browns. The service was even better do we will be back!

We used this restaurant in connection with the premier inn so had the food deals when booking the room. The staff are incredibly friendly here and always happy to help. Also giving good atmosphere in the restaurant as they all seem to get on well. The food itself was also to a good standard we had both breakfast and dinner there. Breakfast had a choice of continental and cooked breakfast (with having the meal deal we had the cooked breakfast deal which included the continental items as well) the breakfast was really good and I don’t have any complaints with it. Also you get unlimited drinks with it so perfect for those tea lovers! Dinner was just as good, they have a good menu to choose from and the food is very good. The puddings are also very nice too !

Ordered the Mixed Grill which arrived promptly. It was possibly the best Mixed Grill I have had. The steak was done to perfection and really tasty as was the rest of the food. Great staff from ordering to serving.

Well, I am sorry to say but this place is an absolute disgrace and should have it's hygiene and cleanliness standards examined by the environmental health department. Prior to doing this review (having visited here earlier today), I read other reviews of horror and found one by Andrew Jenkins that showed a disgraceful disease harbouring zone among the defective panels of the gents toilet.. THAT review was done five years ago and the very same issue still exists in the toilet this day (as per one of my pics). I didn't find this out until afterwards!! We sat and ate food that was not particularly good, but edible, though the coleslaw on a vegetarian dish looked awful and that it had been in the open air for ages and the chips were cool, some cold while the salad that replaced the bun was a few odd ends of a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato. My plate of mixed grill food was so poorly cooked that I could only eat some of the meat and kept the rest for my return home to feed the dogs. The accompanying pepper sauce was like water but my chips were hot, but over cooked like as if they had been re-cooked. The starters were not much better... mine was breaded mushrooms and a squirt of BBQ sauce.. the breaded mushrooms had been cremated to the point that I had to finger eat because the fork would not go through. My partner had the nacho starter which was a half bag of doritos with a slight hint of cheese and a salsa and sour cream sauce. With drinks, this lot came to forty-seven quid... an appalling show. While sitting there chatting about the poverty of the meal, we were distracted by other customers at the premises who, despite having children present and elderly members, were quite familiar with the use of foul language. We later spoke to a staff member who said this was a regular thing here.... made me feel that the attitudes, self respect and personal standards of social norms and acceptability have all but disappeared in Aberdare (as per my other review for the adjacent Asda store). We remained at this eating place a little longer while I took some time to take a few photos and video footage of the state of the place.... despite there being tables with places set, clearly showing that staff had the time to do this, ready for 'new' customers, there was still food, paper napkins, tomato sauce sachets and other debris scattered about the floor, while one table that had been set still had dirty cup rings (plural) where it had not been cleaned. Sadly, I am only going to include a small amount of the photos that I took, just enough for any reader to see that I am not exaggerating this review but please understand.. except for the toilet photo, the photos are of areas where the tables had been cleared and prepared for 'new' customers to be seated. And, during the whole time that we were at the premises, not one member of staff came to ask whether we were happy with our meals, whether we needed anything or otherwise. Our food was brought to the table, plonked in front of us and that was IT. The video footage on the other hand, will go to two places only... to the Brewers Fayre head office and to the Rhondda, Cynon, Taff environmental health office for their attention.

Great food, amazing gravy and toasties.

Very disappointed. Arrived at 10.15 with my disabled gentlemen we support to be told breakfast finishes at 10.30. Despite it being 10.20 when she came over.

We come here every birthday for my children Play area is fantastic, safe and secure. Cheap meals, good portions and friendly staff.. Nothing is too much trouble. 16 of us was all pleased with all meals. All staff are friendly and welcoming. We will continue to celebrate each birthday there. Thank you brewers fayre.

Steak was overcooked and they messed up part of what I ordered

Starter was good, Christmas dinner was cold and so was plates, dessert was so sweet it was inedible. Such a shame as we've had Christmas dinner in the past and it was delicious, standards dropped, will be home cooking next Christmas.

Been here a few times. Came with my nan today and the service was Awful! Sasha was the server and you could tell she didn't want to be here. Full of attitude, wouldn't want to be served by her again for sure!

Frequently visit for Sunday lunch but today I witnessed them using a dust pan and brush covered in hair to sweep up on the food counter. I will never go there again. Absolutely disgusting. Asked for a refund and left

Very disappointed. Visited for an evening drink on Sunday at 8.45pm to be immediately advised they had stopped serving as they closed at 9pm (even though their website shows closing time 10.30pm on Sundays). We asked if we could purchase drinks to take back to our room at the adjacent Premier Inn. Again, the response was no, as they had stopped serving. I would suggest the website is updated with correct opening times to avoid inconvenience for future customers.

Our third time to use this Brewers fayre, food has always been good at a very reasonable price, service was good and the staff were lovely.

Visited with my family and had 5 meals with drinks for less than £60. Nice food, I had the club sandwich which was nicer than ones I paid twice the price for. Friendly staff and family friendly atmosphere.

Gluten free meal was served with garlic bread. One meal was totally messed up. We asked for no garnish as had an onion allergy, they brought the same meal back twice. No apology, no offer of refund. Awful service.poor quality food. They could have made two of us in the party really unwell. And didn't give a shxt. I would not recommend this place.

We went to a 60th birthday party here on Tuesday evening and the food was lovely and the service was great just want to give a shout out to the amazing talia who works behind the bar she was really professional at her job and very happy bubbly and chatty not very often I experience this manner so a thought a reveiw would be apt well done guys

Friendly helpful staff, nice food, nice atmosphere. Not too busy. The Sunday carvery is very nice with a choice of 3 meats and serve your self vegetables and gravy. August 2024: The children's 3 course meals are a bit of a novelty at £6.50 and if you have a pint of squash you only pay for the squash concentrate. I think a pint of squash cost 49 pence.

Here for a family meal, had booked so table had been reserved. Burger was very dry, bland and no taste, coleslaw served on the side was dry with no mayo, just shredded carrot, cabbage and onion, portions were too small. The carvery was awful, the mash had lumps in it, couldn't tell the difference between the mash and cauliflower cheese to look at, carrots were tinned, roast potatoes were frozen and then deep fried. The smothered chicken was tasteless and the meat was overcooked. The steak was very small, overcooked and the peppercorn sauce was about 2 teaspoons full served in a tiny little jug.The food was all disgusting.The chairs were very very dirty with food and drink tipped on them. Sat down and then felt myself wet, the chair was soaking wet where drink had been tipped earlier in the day and the chair had just been pushed back under the table for the next diner, the chair next to it had dried on food on it, another chair had no padding where the material was ripped and the padding had come away, another chair had wrappers from the lollipops sold in the machines stuck to it. The whole restaurant needs to be closed for a good clean and chairs need to be replaced with leatherette or vinyl that can be easily wiped over, when food or drink is tipped. Will never eat here again.

Restaurant is a little dated, but food came quickly and was enjoyable would recommend to a friend.

Food was clearly microwaved cold in the centre like lava on outside, toilets are filthy and 2 of them were out of order. Staff can't be bothered. Was told we couldn't order dessert becoz children play area closed at 7 and we needed to sit where we could keep an eye on our 2 year old playing... bearing in mind it wasn't near 7 they just couldn't be bothered sending someone to clean up our table as we were only ones sat in that area so dessert was denied to us. Overall generally a sticky mess of a place to eat at with awful customer service.

Went here Saturday following a stay in the Premier Inn. Food was out in less than 10 mins of ordering, clearly microwaved and not freshly cooked. Burger was burnt and hard at the edges. Returned this, waiter just stared at us, no apology, didn't check afterwards to see if it was better. Not worth the money paid. Poor service. Bar staff were polite and friendly but last orders were 9.30pm Friday and Saturday and Sunday was 8.30pm. Would recommend KFC across the road!

Very busy pub. Cheap food. Great area for children.

Bored staff. Filthy and sticky fabric on chairs. Table varnish has worn in plenty of tables. The guttering is leaking and water pours on the windows whilst raining.

Won’t be going there again as my husband ordered a soup for starters and had only 4 spoons of the soup it was only quarter full in the bowl , and then we ordered the main which I ordered the sharing plater from the starters as a mains and the mayo that came with it was all curdled we also had unlimited drinks and they were so week it was like drinking watered down pop

Stood at the empty bar for several minutes waiting to order before a staff member decided to appear. The garlic bread on a sharing platter was burnt. Mains were really bad! My gammon was small, tough & majorly overcooked, eggs were solid & no tomato as advertised on the menu. I only ate one mouthful of the whole meal, it was awful. My husband's steak pie was hard & dry. The chairs were really dirty & no soap in the disabled toilet or the ladies. We'll not be going back.

Main meals were fine, nothing spectacular but nothing wrong with them either. The garlic cheesy bread side was rubbish though, not much garlic to it, and only 2 slices, for £4.19. Rip off. Service wasn't great either, lady serving us looked like she didn't want to be there.

Went today for food with two children, no room in the play area, ok understand it’s Easter holidays, but then to be seated at a pre booked table in an extremely overcrowded room, with not enough room to pull your chair out, had to pick the high chair up over peoples heads to get it in, and even then couldn’t pull the high chair into the table. Extremely uncomfortable, when I said there wasn’t enough room the member of staff offered us a different table but could only sit there for 20, mins then would have to move, then she walked off. Asked for sauce when our bare plate of food arrived .. it never came. Really disappointed by our visit.

Not the best this time slow service mens toilet out of action the other mens toilets flooded as one of the taps was loose Also the grabber machine was out of action apparently NO SIGNS saying this as my grand son put money in the machine and was not working had to see three members staff for help and then told to leave my name address and they would get back to me I work in retail would been better to take some money out of petty cash??? Might not be back for some time

Went today for a late Mothers day meal as it was Good Friday there are no offers which is fine if you have a decent suze portion so was totally not worth the money we spent I also ordered curry for my daughter they didn't tell us that they had no rice so just persummed that she would want chips instead. My daughter ate the curry but left the chips. I ordered the Gammon which was swimming on the plate when I said to my husband look at all this as I was soaking it up with a serviette a female member of staff heard me and said that's just the juices from the other meats that are cooked through out the day. My stomach can't take this and has given me an upset stomach. Very disappointed with all our foods bought 5 meals in total and not one was worth it. Sorry for bad review but as I said very disappointing experience this time.

Rude waiting staff, slow service, no warm drinks available, poor quality food and waited over half an hour for a child’s desert.

Better labelling on offers suits not misleading. Ask for sauce waiting 10mins and began to eat my meal as it was going cold and didn't think it was coming, arrived when I had almost finished. Waited 40mins for children's dessert ( already paid for!) and gave up leaving with upset children. It was extremely quiet at the time, would understand if it was busy. No hot drinks available according to staff member at the till, that's ridiculous.

Awful over priced food, luke warm mashed potatoes which had set like concrete, peas hard and cold, no idea what they did to the chips, but again lukewarm and soggy, a cheese pizza that did not taste like cheese. Mediocre service, no interest whatsoever from the staff, grubby outdated exterior and interior , play area very grubby. Would not recommend. A couple of hours after eating there I had a nasty bout of food poisoning, never going there again!!!!

We ordered two meals, and the price was excellent, it only cost £11.49 for the two. I had the spicy chicken burger and chips, which was very nice. The service was good and the food didn't take long to come to the table.

Went in today for some food with a friend and her daughter. Our food came out with cold chips and the child’s pasta was cold with absolutely no taste to it. They also did not bring out the child’s garlic bread with the pasta which we had paid for. When we mentioned that the pasta was cold and that the garlic bread had not been served we were offered a refund for the child’s food. My friend had paid extra for a dessert so just asked for a refund for the garlic bread and pasta and asked if the desert could still be brought out. It took over half an hour and also a reminder from myself to one of the staff in order for the desert to be brought out. We were then told that we would need to go to the till for the refund which we did as we were leaving. The manager came up to my friend and didn’t acknowledge her apart from to say very rudely cash or card refund. My friend then replied saying card please. The manager proceeded to do the refund without so much as an apology for the terrible service that we had received. Would definitely not recommend. Besides the poor service, poor food and rude staff member, the place looks like it needs a good clean and the menus need a wipe over as they were covered in food.

Visited Aberdare Brewster for a family birthday meal this evening , service was very quick! And table service was awesome! Nothing was too much!! Young gent serving the party table 2,5,6 area was very kind, thank you.

Food was absolutely terrible. Booked for valentines - in advance. The main meal on the menu wasn't even available. We had to have a bog standard steak meal. Steak was not even cooked to liking. The starter came with the main also. We also had to request for my partners starter which was left sitting in the kitchen. There was just no need for it. We mentioned could we have our starter and main seperated and then dessert after our meal. They took this to the extreme by spitefully not bringing our desert at all! As we went to leave (with overcooked steak and a starter that became a side with the main) one of the servers came after us and said "sorry for the wait, but we don't have the desert you requested" it was really a joke from beginning to end. Half the stuff on the menu wasn't there. Normally would never ever request for a refund. But in this instance we did. The manager was so rude and said we could have a refund for the dessert only. Even though we didn't even get the meal we asked AND paid for. So not only did we have the correct meal but we're robbed too! The manager also spent her time shouting at other customers in the morning also. Her attitude is absolutely appalling, it's such a shame because this reflects on the other members of staff that work there. Her attitude ruins the atmosphere there. It costs nothing to be nice curtiois and understanding for your customers. To the staff that have been nice I feel very bad because some try so hard. But yeah food always out of something same as cocktails. I think it's made for people not to notice because the hotel is next door, I think if things like that happen as a one off people don't mind. When you come from the hotel next door and then you leave the same day you just over look missing ingredients and so on. But me and my partner where there nearly every day and you start to notice the cracks. The special menus are a lie. Anything that looks complex on the menu they will not have the ingredients for. They get away with it though. But that's being crooks lying about a menu. I will be making a formal complaint. You totally ruined our first valentines together. The manager should be sacked for her attitude. There are some other things I could write but I really don't want to be as rude as the manager was. Shame on you for such an establishment. I have also made sure to share my experience with anyone who will listen. Hope you get closed down. Will also be going to food standards

Lovely food a bit disappointing to have to pay 4.50 on top for the kids to use soft play, especially with the cost of meals. Becomes an expensive trip but lovely food and service.

Food was cold , given no cutlery or condiments. Burger was overcooked.if they can't get a burger and chips right it doesn't say a lot for the place .

Had a nice steak cooked exactly as ordered. It's a brewers fayre so you know what to expect from the menu. It was early Friday evening so we easily got a table in the bar.

Lovely much needed meal today, great quick service, plenty of choice, served hot and good value.

Food was expected for the price, standard pub grub and no complaints. Food came out fast and the waitress was pleasant. Only complaint I have is the play area is extremely worn and incredibly dirty and dusty, as children were playing above there was large clumps of dust falling down into the toddler area and my baby was trying to grab it to put in her mouth, the amount of dust made it look like it hadn't been cleaned in years.

Mixed reviews on here but having gone pleasantly suprised had 2 meals just 11.49 food was quick does need a refurb though.

Dreadfull. To start, not that I drink coke but I imagine lots do as there is a refillable option, only there is no gas, so you can only have flat coke. Food, fries cold at best and greasy, cheesy garlic bread-I think warmed in microwave-not cooked, onion rings -greasy, peas not cooked, egg-loose white and gammon salty. Not bad 6 out of 6. Why didn’t I return food, lady serving looking like she had received some bad news just before coming to work, didn’t look happy at all. You can see why it’s cheap to eat here, you can’t eat it. On the plus side, not a bad pint of strong bow. If you need toilet do not venture in to the gents, wait until you get home. Place is so tired and run down, Somewhere I don’t think I will ever return. Very quiet there, understand why now
