Toilets really let this place down. Not fit for purpose. Food was good nice selection. Good speedy service staff look after you well. I’ll pass until the toilets are sorted - they are small it won’t take much to bring them up to standard

Had been recommended Tinto Tapas by a number of people, so it was our first time trying it and so glad we did. The menu had a good choice for all of us. The atmosphere was great, the staff attentive, the food delicious and the chef was Spanish, what more could you ask for. Have already booked again.

Expensive for what we received. Food ok but nothing to write home about- prices expensive £9 a small plate. Odd end of meal when they claimed card machine on the fritz- just wanted cash in I bet- Ripped off Scot’s fan?

absolute horrible experience, older staff member was incredibly rude to the only friend with an accent, originally refusing her drink even tho we explained she was of age, after we all explained she eventually served my friend the drink, when we were ordering only two of us were eating and the other two were having a drink, she told yet again the friend with the accent that she has to buy food with a drink but never said anything to the other friend that was only drinking, she was incredibly rude and upon mentioning it was a bar and a restaurant she walked away saying she was “done with this” not to mention she took down our order incorrectly when it was a simple order and we were the only ones there

Can be a bit of a 'hit or miss' food wise but been good last couple of visits.

Have never felt the need to poorly review before except the absolute worst woman I have ever been served by works here. I work in hospitality so completely understand the protocol for being in a restaurant, however she told us we now only had 60 mins to order and eat because ‘I was already late to my table’ when my friend got there at 18.28 and I arrived at 18.32 (we made sure to check our time receipts - we were a walk in, and were not told we had a time limit on the table when we arrived- which would be absolutely fine if we were told and had the regular 90-180 mins) we then said that we will only get a quick drink and leave asap if we only have 60 mins to order and eat and didn’t feel like staying if we were going to be told off the first 5 mins of being there - to that the only thing she said was ‘we aren’t a bar are we, you are here to order food’. She was then speaking about us to another woman right behind me. The other girls that worked there seemed very lovely

Came here yesterday for dinner with my friend and food was really a let down, the services from the young girls where great but the food sadly was a let down and really disappointed, I used to come here when I was little with my mum and dad and thought I would take a wee trip down memory lane but sadly was left really disappointed with the food. Really bland and just not very good with is really disappointing

We arrived and were shown to a table very quickly. The lovely waitress took our drinks order and as I'm a bit hard of hearing I asked if the music could be turned down a bit which she did right away with a smile. We ordered various tapas, the croquetas, langostinos, calamares, mixed fish and albondigas... The food was absolutely delicious!. I speak Spanish so chatted with the chef to compliment the food and he was most appreciative. We will definitely be back! Oh, and it turns out it was Tapas Tuesday ( discounted tapas!) so that was a lovely surprise 😁

Spanish tapas bar in Glasgow, it was quite great to meet Rafa who is the chef of the place... we were pleasantly surprised, everything was very delicious and listening to Rafa, a man from Santander, made us feel a little more at home. The only thing I would change is if they served bread instead of water crackers, it's Spanish, not Argentinian.

Easily the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Sat at an outside table, a member of the kitchen staff came out and asked what we were doing, we asked to order some drinks. A waiter appeared and threw menu's on the table and mumbled "order inside" as he walked away. One of us went in to order drinks to be told that it wasn't a bar. We asked to order drinks while we looked at the menu and was told no. Order food at the same time. I visit various tinto restaurants often with my family but never again because of this.

Popped in for dinner after a lovely day at the Burrell. Sadly needed to leave after finding a rather large piece of soil in our meal. My mouth needed a very thorough rinsing to remove the grit. Staff were very apologetic and tried to understand how this happened. Food we tasted prior to that was a little disappointing, but the 0% beer was very nice.

My and my partner usually go every few months. The rude staff, particularly the older blonde hair women ruins a restaurant that has great food. I would also suggest only going in a big party. If you go as a couple you are always given the worst tables imaginable.

Pre Green Day Tapas. Visited last night off the cuff prior to gig at Bellahouston Park. Full due I suspect to the Tuesday deal which made the value excellent & a pleasant surprise. Atmosphere lovely. 6 dishes, bread, 2 drinks inc large red and a coffee £30 Quality of the food and service top notch despite it being very busy. If we are ever in the area again would def return.

I visited tinto tapas in Battlefield with my friends for a catch up on Friday night , the 26th of April. I was recommended by a friend and work colleagues, and despite living in the area for many years, i had never visited , and I was very pleasantly surprised. The bustling area of Battlefield has other well established options for dining , and tinto is up there with the best. The food was exceptional, very fresh , with quality produce and very authentic , and having visited many Tapas restaurants in Spain, I feel qualified to say so. The service was excellent, quick, efficient, very friendly, knowledgeable about the extensive menu , and our lovely Portuguese waiter ( I can’t recall his name! ) couldn’t have been any more helpful, and all the staff were the same. The vibe of Tinto , Is lively , friendly, fun , authentic, just everything a tapas restaurant should be , and although a small restaurant, you aren’t squashed together. The price of the food was very reasonable, for what we had , and the house wine was great quality, several too many were had ! After our dinner we went next door to a lovely restaurant and cocktail bar Skips , which we were later informed , was owned by the same company, and had some delicious cocktails to finish off our evening, we will definitely be trying there for food as the menu looked fab , and if tinto was anything to go by , it will be just as good. All in it was a superb night with amazing food , service , quality and value , followed by yummy cocktails. Both venues are an amazing addition to the area , and I will definitely be back !

Great meal, plates looks tiny but deceptively it fills you up. Only gripe £18.75 for 10% temperanillo is a bit of a rip off.

Tiny Portions, no flavour at all. One of the chicken dishes they charge about £7 for came with 2 tiny bits of chicken. Other tapas chains so much better. Would not recommend. Staff not overly friendly either.

My first time here with friends some of who already knew how great this place was as they’ve been many times before. Turns out they do a great deal on their fabulous food on a Tuesday. How lucky were we! I had a selection of wonderful tasty tapas plates which included chicken, aubergine, with honey, potato with cream and cheese, selection of homemade hummus, avocado and olive tapenade with breadsticks and vegetable batons and the delicious Caesar salad with fresh anchovies. Think l ordered a tad too much. Turns out l love delicious Spani h tapas. Staff were really friendly and helpful with food choices. Food was brought to the table in good time and hot food was just that. We all had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed our food. We will definitely return.

This place is a hidden gem. Convenient location, close to transport links. The atmosphere is lovely, very authentic. They have an early bird deal even on weekends which is awesome. They also make a rather tasty Sangria.

Incredible food from this place. I had 5 dishes and all were spot on. The BBQ sauce the ribs were in was sensational, I was tempted to ask for a bottle to take home!

I will definitely not go back . Tiny portions £5 for a tiniest tapas . I often eat out in spain and they are never this small . You leave not feeling full after spending £15-ish on 3. Some tapas are tasty some arent . Wild mushrooms one was not made out of wild mushrooms, disappointing. Sangria could definitely be better. Place is really cramped. Friendly staff

Lovely restaurant, great food varied menu Worth a visit

Oh dear, what has happened to this once great restaurant??? My daughter and I went in to have lunch. Ordered 6 tapas. The (once tasty) caremalised black pudding arrived with 3 tiny pieces on top of onion which was hardly cooked at all and was overly salty. The creamed potatoes coverved in cheese lacked cream, potatos were a little hard and the topping was burnt underneath. My favourite Calamares arrived, half the usual size I used to get, again overly salted and pieces were stuck together like glue. Only good thing was the friendly waitress, who changed an order I had asked for my daughter which was wrong ( my mistake) and she came back with what my daughter actually wanted. We were served the food and left 15 minutes later, feeling VERY annoyed at the awful food.

Fantastic staff and the food is amazing. Even without eating meat there are enough exiting seafood and veg options to make this our favourite place in battlefield.

Such a hidden gem, and not to be missed. The best Tapas in Glasgow the food and Sangria are delicious, staff are also lovely. Quite small & intimate, so booking recommended.

Visited for lunch after not having been in this particular Tinto Tapas for a few years. We both had food from the menu del dia and all three courses were lovely, the staff were both friendly and attentive and the bill for 3 courses each, a drink & tea and coffee was very reasonable, highly recommended.

Honestly the best tapas we have ever had ! Been in the last few weeks after school pick up and the staff Elinor and Kim who now remember what we order are fantastic . Honestly doesn’t get any better great price great service and even better food 💚

Hadn't been to Tinto in years but we passed by for a drink and a snack. We were greeted by the lovely Millie who took great care of us from the minute we arrived. She was so friendly & helpful. The food came out fast and was hot & delicious. Miilie's wine suggestion was spot on. The food and service has improved considerably so I won't hesitate to come back again

We visited here last night with family. The restaurant was busy as they had an offer on. Tables were very close together , so much so it was difficult to get into your seat. We ordered 3 tapas each(1 person had 4) Service was quick and food was good. Once finished , we asked to order another round of tapas but were told we couldn’t do that as it wouldn’t be ready by the time they needed the table back. As the table was not due back for another 40 minutes, we found this surprising. The very nice waitress said she would get her boss. The boss came over and said we couldn’t have any more food as the kitchen was dealing with other orders. She said her piece and then just walked away, which we found rude. We were going to order dessert but decided to go. We were also overcharged and that was rectified. Waiting staff nice but we were disappointed in the attitude of the manageress. If you visit this restaurant, make sure you order enough as it seems that, unlike most tapas, you can’t add to your order, even if there is still time left on your table allocation. It’s put us off visiting here again.

Friendly welcome from the server, order taken promptly and 6 tapas + drinks came quicker than we expected. It was pretty quiet just after midday on a Wednesday. We ordered bread to mop up up the various sauces (especially the mussels which were cooked to perfection) and we were given olive oil and balsamic vinegar too. All the tapas were tasty (3 for £12 at lunchtime). We don't live nearby so can't tell what it would be like in the evening or at weekends - presumably service would be a good bit slower - but we'll definitely pop in for lunch next time we're in the area. They've got other places in Largs, Troon, Uddingston and East Kilbride so we're going to visit them as well.

We ate here on a Friday evening and had a lovely meal. The tapas was all lovely and the paella for 2 was large enough for 4 people to have a good sized portion alongside the other 8 smaller dishes we ordered. The food was all fresh and well cooked and the service was really good considering how busy the restaurant was. The only thing that let the meal down slightly was a couple of the desserts were a bit strange however the churros were delicious!

Our experience here was brief and very disappointing. Ordered tap water with a slice of lemon and when asked for a jug we were informed that jugs were not available as they are reserved for sangria. We settled for glasses of water but were informed that we would be charged 10p per slice of lemon in the water. When we questioned the waitress about the charge for the slice of lemon she said that they should actually charge for the water but charge for the lemon as they have to buy them. We tried to argue that the charge is unreasonable but were met with total indifference. Needless to say we left the place and will never return. Although this was not my first visit and the meals there are generally tasty and this was definitely my last visit. Charging 10p for a slice of lemon in the water was not acceptable especially when we expected to be spending around £60 for the meal. Ety Frew and Elizabeth Bailey

Slow service, after 1.5 hours refused desert because to busy and needed table. £130 bill if you go make sure you throw the food down and pester staff for faster service.

Can't really rate as we never stayed. My friend booked a Tuesday evening for the usual deal. On being seated the waiter handed us a menu called "Hampden Events" which seems to be all they offer if there is an event on at Hampden. At £20 a head we felt not only was this a bit expensive but also a rip off as we were not informed when making the booking. On advising the waiter of this his reaction was to shrug his shoulders. By the way the Hampden Event was a Scotland match, and Tinto did us a favour as we went to Velvet Sparrow and had a fantastic meal and the staff were lovely.

Great tapas(especially the rabbit stew), really friendly staff, could do with the background music being a bit quieter, but thankfully not as loud as their sister restaurant in Troon.

I really want to like this place as it has varied menu, good portions, well cooked food but a lot of work in key areas is needed. Food was really badly seasoned, almost inedible levels of salt, I pointed this out but server was a bit awkward about it. This was for the sauce of chorizo fritto and the batter and the meat of mixed fried fish. Good portions size, well cooked but chronically overseasoned. Nothing could have been tasted either during prep or as dish cooked. Same goes for olives, these served from brine rather than marinaded. Pan serrano is supposed to be manchego cheese on it but was served with a mozzarella based mix with little manchego. Good portion size but prefer smaller if correct cheese used. Toilets are a bit tacky and toilet seat broken. Even a sign up or a heads up they were vandalized/need repair and I would understand. Food didn't get checked back, missed opportunity to order more drinks. Coffee... Charged for 2 single espressos when ordering a double, so 4.80 for a double espresso. If I hadn't of drank it I would've sent it back. Overall poor and I really dislike a leaving a bad review.

Popped in for breakfast, v disappointing. It says on the website open from 10am but they were still setting up. Food portions for breakfast were very small, I left still feeling hungry and the quality was so so. The waitress Sophie was lovely, bright and friendly and the best thing about the visit. I used to love visiting Tintos, not quite so sure now.

Went here for a Friday night dinner with my partner and parents. Such a lovely wee spot. It was very busy and had a great atmosphere. The food was good and was quite varied so everybodyh was catered for. We also felt it was reasonably priced. The service was great. One of our waitresses went out of her way to help us by lending my mother in law her glasses as she couldn't see the menu. Thought that was a lovely touch. We even left with a gift. Would recommend to anybody.

Won't be going again. There's a woman that works there that certainly shouldn't be in a customer service role, would be more suited to working in a dungeon I think!!

We booked Tinto for 16 people ahead of a special family celebration. We paid £80 deposit and visited the restaurant twice in the lead-up to our night to confirm. When we arrived, we were told they didn’t have our booking, and what followed was the most horrendous display of customer service I have ever experienced, particularly from one blonde waitress who told us she was the manager’s sister. There was at no point any apology for their mistake and instead we were treated like a huge inconvenience. Evidence of our booking was denied - when she checked their book/diary, we could see our name and pointed it out to her, then she flipped the book up to her chest out of view. She denied that any deposit had been paid at all and only accepted the truth when we got our banking app up to show her the payment. When she learned that we had brought a cake she claimed it was a £1 per slice cake charge (?) which we wouldn’t have minded, but given that we were still standing around (most of our party out on the street) it was a strange and unhelpful thing to say at the time. We were eventually offered a table in the corner of the restaurant which was tight to fit our party - when one of us mentioned this she shouted across the restaurant, “what, have you never been in the restaurant before?” which, again, was an unprofessional and unhelpful comment to make to a group of people who were disappointed by the situation already. We were eventually offered a seat at the fish restaurant next door and turned it down, mostly because of the attitude and the way this woman (who we think was called Kim) spoke to us. We would have been happy to stay at the table that was eventually offered, and had been looking forward to visiting the restaurant (and with there being so many of us we were desperate for the situation to be sorted) but we were made to feel so uncomfortable that we didn’t want to stay. We were told someone would be in contact to follow up this huge error and have never heard a thing since. I have never written a review for anywhere before but the way my family and I were spoken to was horrendous and a special family event was ruined.

Food is hit or miss here as far as authenticity. This time is was a miss. The visit was also let down by, who I assume was the owner, smoking with her friend on the patio but as the sliding doors were open you got the full impact. Furthermore, the service was let down by the owner hogging the serving staff and the kitchen taking around 30mins to get the food out even though only 3 tables sat. Also, there was a younger lad in the kitchen who was wiping his nose frequently on his sleeve. The server also decided to spend time parting a passing dog before recommencing her duties but did not wash her hands. Previous visits suggest that they can do things right but one out of three is not confidence inspiring.

Most appalling customer service I have ever experienced. Mainly one single woman, who I believe is called Kim. Made a large table booking several weeks in advance and popped in to the restaurant twice to confirm and pay the deposit. The night of the booking, we arrived to be told they didn’t have any record of the booking and that deposit hadn’t been paid. Kim tried to hide the booking book in front of party members and had to be shown the transaction on a banking app. While our entire party stood in the street, there was no apology and we were met with confrontation and unnecessary comments while trying to resolve the situation. We were offered space in the sister restaurant next door which we did initially take them up on. Kim, followed us in and started complaining about our party to the staff in Skips, again, causing confrontation and unnecessary arguments in the middle of another restaurant, resulting in us leaving. The staff in Skips were pleasant and apologetic and took details saying someone would be in touch to resolve everything. One week later, there has been no contact from anyone.

Absolutely awful. Food was terrible, horrible service and rude staff! I’ve never had such bad tapas anywhere. Cold, oily, tasteless food. The staff had no manners and couldn’t get orders right. Drinks were very bad! Do not recommend!

Despite a booking being made in person weeks before , deposits paid, and a phone call to them the day before we attended, on arrival to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday our party of 16 were told there was no such booking. Eventually it was confirmed the booking had been made, however the person who took it ‘hadn’t passed it on’. The attitude of the 2 staff we encountered in Tinto ( in particular ?Kim, the manager), was absolutely diabolical (too many things to write here). Whilst we waited outside on the street, we were eventually offered a very cramped / unsuitable area in the restaurant, and when we refused this, we were then told we could have 3 separate tables in the fish restaurant close by. The manager in the fish restaurant was very empathetic and offered to try to make the situation better, however the seating arrangement and the menu was not suitable for our party. We were also all feeling a bit despondent and shocked at how we had been treated, and by the attitude of Tinto staff, and therefore made a decision to leave. Fortunately we managed to find an alternative arrangement. As a regular customer of the East Kilbride Tinto restaurant, (where I have always enjoyed), I cannot express my disappointment in the attitude of the 2 staff we encountered in Battlefield. A very special family occasion was almost ruined due to their unprofessional, unfriendly and uncaring behaviour.

Absolutely shocking service tonight. Had them trying to charge us a whole extra persons tapas deal because we ordered 2 lots of bread. They claimed this was part of the tapas deal despite the bread being only £2.50 each. When we questioned the bill was met with a horrendously rude waitress who wouldn’t listen to what we were saying. They did eventually correct the bill and apologise when we asked for the manager but the waitress remained extremely rude and denied she had incorrectly charged us. Also one of the bread baskets were mouldy and we weren’t even offered to have that removed from the bill. Absolutely shocking, we will not be back and would warn anyone else from visiting.

Very cramped and sweaty in here for a start. The food was very greasy basically everything is deep friend and tastes the same which is rotten when you think you're ordering a variety of dishes. Won't be back

Where to start...I wonder if anyone from the kitchen have ever been to Spain. The patatas bravas were just tastless potatoes with mayo, the quality of the mussels were questionable so we've preferred to pass, the chickpea dish came with one tiny piece of brioche...

This wee place is incredible. We always receive a warm welcome, the atmosphere is so relaxed. The menu has a good selection and the food is always delicious, never had a bad meal. It's one of our favourites.

I booked the taster tuesday menu online for a family dinner for my brother's birthday two weeks in advance. We've been many times before and enjoyed it. However, I did not know that my brother's birthday was also the night of a football match at...

Great food but check your bill !! Was overcharged £7 and that was after querying the bill 3 times. They had a "tapas deal" which costs more than the individual tapas we had. There were also several unexpected supplements. Sadly won't be back.

A Tuesday evening. I thought it would be quiet. It wasn't. Packed out. Everyone seemingly enjoying the atmosphere and food. On Tuesday, I discovered, tapas is £2.50, I think, per dish. V reasonable. I had 2 dishes and 1 glass of wine. £10. Excellent value. The tapas itself is acceptable but not exceptional. I enjoyed it. Recommended.

I tried the Tinto today and I really wanted to enjoy it but the food just wasn't upto the 5 stars Tinto had been receiving. The fish dish was going off and the beef dish was awful, the paella was substantial but tastless, also the bread was stale. The girl serving us was nice though, probably Monday wasn't a good day to go, I don't think I'll be back at the Tinto. Parking is scarce and not wheelchair accessible.

The way this place treats their staff is horrific. Completely ruined my experience

Been here a few times always had a good experience.Yesterday I phoned and booked a table on arriving no one seemed to know anything about booking .Had to wait for table to be cleared.Lost count of the number of staff who went outside for cigarette That including kitchen staff .Nice experience in the past but won’t be returning again.While in the restaurant we were told that the new restaurant next door called skips is also run by Tinto.I personally think they are putting everything in to skips and Tinto is very disappointing now .Won’t be back.28/02/23

super nice, quaint, lovely atmosphere, can be a little tight when it's busy but deserves to be busy! food was great but me and my partner both felt sick the day after however we can't put it entirely down to the food so that's why it's 4 star. Sangria was lovely, had fab options but due to being busy the service was a little slow and our table stuck out and was bumped quite a few times...Great restraunt and would visit again with a different table 😊

Been here before and found it great, went recently and ordered 6 tapas and a round of bread. Also 3 wines and 2 beers. Wasn’t until I got home I realised they had charged me for 10 tapas and it was £7.25 per medium glass...

2nd time iv been here and have to say, its a cracking wee place. they were sooooo busy due to the football but the staff were still friendly and attentive despite being so busy and under pressure, food is cracking with good dishes to choose from and reasonably priced, highly recommend it if your in the area

Went for lunch with our son. They have a great seection of dishes and all cooked to order. Staff welcoming and friendly. We booked and were only customers for lunch. A good value lunch for 3. We will be back.

Went here for Hogmanay dinner. Without a doubt one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. It’s was chaotic and disorganised. Struggled to get into my seat it was that close to the table behind. There were 4 of us and was also a struggle to get all our plates on the table. Staff were running about like rabbits in headlights but not achieving very much. It was a sat night and ny so it was going to be busy but there seemed to be enough staff for the amount of tables. We weren't offered a menu for desserts and had to continually ask them to take our order which was 2 desserts and 2 cocktails. I’m still waiting for the cocktails despite asking them 3 times. The desserts never came and order had to go through again. One finally arrived. They forgot the other again. We gave up on the cocktails although they had put one on the bill. 3 times we had to ask for the bill. Then no one came to actually let us pay it so we headed to the door knowing that would get their attention. No apology was ever offered. If anyone still wants to socially distance you can forget it. In the ladies someone had to squeeze by me while I was washing my hands to get into the one toilet. The staff lack any attention to the needs of the customer. Walk by the table constantly but pretty much ignored us. There was zero leadership or organisation. 1 waitress was pretty defensive when I had to ask what was happening with the desserts and cocktails. There was a lack of professionalism with staff shouting and pointing down the restaurant at each other. Looking totally frazzled. I’m fairly new to tapas so couldn’t say if it was value for money but tasted nice enough. It was a stressful and unenjoyable experience and I couldn’t wait to get out the place. Definitely won’t be back.

Amazing tapas! I go here pretty frequently and I'm always impressed.

Bill came to over 50 pound for 6 tapes dishes. Watery dishes all round when it should have been sauce. Mussels were gritty and tasteless. Avoid!!

Great tapas and first class service. Definitely recommend visiting here.
