Went late on Sunday night and the staff were still so accommodating and the kitchen was still fantastic even though we were the only people in! Food is great and wine is fantastic and so cheap!! I've not been here in years and the food and service has not changed - one of my favourite tapas' restaurants in Glasgow. This is a 5 min taxi from Glasgow central - make the trip, you won't be disappointed!

It was our first visit to Cubatas and we had a great time. They were busy with a wedding downstairs, but despite this all the food was served in good time. We had a Itison voucher to use, this included 8 tapas dishes and a drink each. 8 dishes was a lot between 2! The portions were good and the dishes were all well presented and they were all very tasty. All the staff were attentive and friendly and we’ll definitely be back!

Finally made it to Cubatas last night, we've been meaning to try it for ages. Dod not disappoint - the food was absolutely delicious, service was fantastic and the drinks were fab too. I'm still thinking about those carrots! My partner said the lamb rack was the tastiest he'd ever had, the meatballs were also apparently amazing. The veggie options were all full of flavour and looked as good as they tasted. We were surprised at how quiet it was on a Saturday night, with food and service like we experienced it definitely deserves to be much busier. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Food was really good. Paella, pear salad, black pudding etc, tapas was very tasty. Lots of folks having afternoon high tea. Sangria was really nice. Where it is let down a bit is 1. Decor, paint the ceiling guys and 2. Men’s toilet (stone walls), don’t know the last time that was cleaned. Cobwebs everywhere and just dirty. You could easily enhance the experience with a bit of tlc.

Our experience here was truely awful. From the minute we walked in the service was chaotic to say the least. Really bad table management there was a couple sitting in front of us who had arrived before us however we were served before them which seemed very odd. The environment is also very claustrophobic. All the tables and chairs are so close together. I just can't see how this is not a fire safety issue! The furnishings are very tired to say the least. I get that the restaurant is going for an olde worlde Spanish theme however the tables, table tops and dining chairs were worn down to almost unhygienic levels. We really did not enjoy our experience. The only reason I gave one star was for the black pudding and quails egg tapas dish that we had as it was very tasty. The rest of the food was however bland. The paella was awful as it was watery and the vegetables in it had seen their day. There was also a big clump of vegetable bouillon amoungst my paella mix which obviously had not been stirred into the stock properly. I get that the paella I ordered was vegetarian therefore no fish stock was used however for a vegetarian dish it was tasteless and very bland. The Spanish chicken tapas dish that we had tasted more like tandoori chicken. Could not taste any Spanish flavours in this dish at all. Sadly we won't be back as this restaurant just did not meet our expectations, in any way, in respect of authentic Spanish food. Would not recommend.

Seriously odd place. Friday night and virtually empty (by 8.30 we were the only 2 people there) staff were nice enough but the food was pretty awful. The grilled chicken was chicken tikka, nice but definitely tikka not remotely Spanish. The meatballs were swimming in grease and the “seafood platter” was just calamari. Frozen rubbery calamari. The best bits of the evening were the salads (really not that difficult) and the mint tea. This is not a tapas restaurant but I’m not sure anyone has told it , or maybe they have ad that’s why it was empty. Shan’t be back.

Lovely cocktails and service. Spanish Afternoon Tea wasn’t my favourite as the choux pastry and scones were a bit dry. Loved the goats cheese and the Serrano ham, I feel they could have went more 80/20 on savoury vs sweet but felt there was more sweet. (Personal preference though because I would have wanted more ham portions). Server was lovely couldn’t fault the service. Atmosphere was quiet but I didn’t mind. What an amazing little restaurant! You could possibly walk by as from the outside it doesn't look much probably due to the windows being up from street level. We were welcomed and chose our seats. We'd selected the 3 tapas and 2 drinks each which was on offer for £25 per head. Plenty of tapas to choose from and the selection of drinks was sufficient too. The restaurant was quite when we arrived as it was only 430pm but steadily it filled up and the staff welcomed everyone and explained the dining experience. The food was amazing - we could not fault any of the 6 dishes we ordered - and as advised was just the right amount of food. We never felt rushed to leave and spent a couple of hours there. Great atmosphere, music at the correct volume to allow people to chat. I found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and those who said it was a hidden gem were spot on. I will recommend this fab place to anyone who will listen - and will be back! Thank you so much 10/10

I'd definitely recommend this place, it's one of those spots I'd always walked past but overlooked but recently, after discovering their 3 tapas and 2 cocktails for £25 deal, I decided to give it a go. First off, the atmosphere is lovely, it's pretty on the inside and I really like that the music is not too loud, it's the sort of place where you can have a real conversation without shouting. There also are splashes of colour which make it feel warm without being too 'in your face'. The servers who were on during my visit were all absolutely lovely and hospitable. Then the food! The dishes I selected were all absolutely delicious, I'd recommend trying their lamb meatballs, it comes in a small amount of this gorgeous thick broth which really adds to the flavour of the meatballs. The only thing I was not too impressed with was the calamari, it was slightly chewy however the sauce it was served with was lovely, and had a slight kick to it so it might be worth trying just for the sauce. I also have dietary requirements and they were super accommodating and altered dishes I wanted to try to suit my needs which I really appreciated, not enough places will do this. The cocktails were also delicious and it's definitely somewhere I will return to, don't miss out on this hidden gem!

The service was disastrous. Grabbed a booked table at 19:45 and we only got the first tapas at 20:40, one hour after that we managed to get the attention of one of the waiters and got the bill. Some drinks didn't even make it to the table, my glass of water had bits in it. The food wasn't too bad, although I think you can find better Spanish food in Glasgow. I'll save my money and spend it on actual spanish food while my next trip to Spain.

Never been here before and I thought overall it was pretty good. I've been lucky to have eaten a lot of Tapas style food in Spain over the years and having recently eaten at Rioja also in Glasgow I was tempering my enthusiasm (Rioja is very good)So Friday night, not that busy but food was good. I'm not that keen on Paprika and I found that to be used a fair bit, beef quality could have been better. However wine was fantastic, and price I'm not kidding was half that of Rioja3* Average is maybe a bit harsh, I would go back and for £15 a head for food the value cannot be beaten.

Visited with a friend as we fancied somewhere a bit different. Nicely decorated with a cosy Spanish feel. Staff were friendly and conversational. When we went it was £8.50 for three dishes, which makes for a very decent meal and the food was all very pleasant - my friend had the mussels which were particularly generous. The only slight let down was the chocolate fondue for two people, which consisted mainly of chopped apple and banana, and could have been more generous with the strawberries/churros at almost £10. But overall very good value and a solid choice for anyone bored of pizza/pasta/burger.
