We ran in here to take shelter from the wet December weather. We ordered sandwiches and jacket potatoes. The staff were amazingly friendly and very accommodating with our requests. There was a nice atmosphere, staff clearly knew their regular customers and it was lovely to see people chatting together a few days before Christmas. We'll see you next time we are in Hunstanton!

We visited today as a family with our sons aged 9, 13 and 17. There was plenty of choice and each of us agreed it was the best food we’d had all week (baked potatoes, bacon baguette, tuna mayo and cheese panini). The atmosphere was great and friendly and the gent running the place couldn’t have been more welcoming and engaging and we’ll be making a point of visiting next time we’re in the area.

A lovely cafe used by locals too which is a good sign. Plenty of choice and not expensive either. Cooked to perfection and nice and fresh. Very friendly and helpful to with some tourists explaining buses where and when to catch the bus. Well worth the visit and handy to for where its situated near the shops and everything.

We visited on a pretty quiet day and ordered three sandwiches, two cokes and a black coffee, to eat in. There were two staff that we could see: the cashier who was also bringing out food and making drinks, and Tina who was making the food. Only 3 other couples were in the cafe. Our three sandwiches arrived fairly quickly but no drinks. We waited a minute or two then reminded the cashier about the drinks, she brought out two cokes and I asked "and my coffee?" She went back and brought me a coffee but it was white. I took it up to the counter and said I had ordered black coffee, she said she'd bring it over and I then sat and watched her pour the coffee away then use the same mug, without even rinsing it, to make a black coffee. I'm not allergic to milk but if I had been, that would be a HUGE problem. While we were eating, a man ordered a couple of sandwiches to take away. The cashier brought out two plates of food and was going from table to table asking if it was theirs, the man said it was his order, and they were supposed to be to take away. She then took them behind the counter and searched the shelves and then said she couldn't find the take away boxes. The man said he'd take the food on the plates and just bring the plates back afterwards. In the meantime we could hear Tina apparently on the phone telling someone she was "so busy". Halfway through our sandwiches my husband realised that when he ordered his "gammon and cheddar cheese" sandwich, the cashier had asked if he wanted salad and he said yes, and she then apparently changed the order to a "gammon and salad" sandwich instead. We gave up at that point and decided just to eat and leave. On the plus side, the cafe looked clean and the food was good.

With winter or its close relation autumn setting in now being October - or nearly November on a foggy evening - we decided to capture a little bit of the slowly sinking sun before winter was indeed fully here as we headed off once again to Hunstanton in bootiful uptown Norfolk. We have been to this eatery before so hence our reappearance although this time we were wearing masks due to the current ongoing virus regulations. We arrived at lunch time and had a cheerful greeting from the lady behind the counter, ordered our meals, drinks etc and sat down as instructed. The tables were all were well spaced out. We didn’t have to wait too long before our orders were delivered to our table. Everything was piping hot from meals to drinks and despite the current restrictions in place, it was the same experience as we had before the last time we popped down to Hunstanton. The establishment is very clean and tidy, the staff pleasant (which can either make to break such a place) and no doubt we will pop in again the next time we are there. PS: being sited where it is, you also get a reasonable view of the beach so we were able to watch the windsurfers there was quite entertaining to see - not sure if it was planned, but one windsurfer had ‘a bit of a whoopsie’ as came off his board but in fairness we don’t think he heard our subdued laugher from where he was…. hopefully…

All the nearby eating places had tables "to close" and staff with no masks etc. But this establishment had tables well spaced and a good COVID procedure (perhaps service was terse - but it was very safe). The food was excellent and well presented (soup and a roll/ jacket spud & beans + 2 teas). Regarding the toilet (only one unisex) - but it was spotless. Perhaps these folk could give advice to other nearby establishments. I did get a lovely smile at the end when I left a tip - pleasing but sad as it obviously did not happen often. These folk should get an award.

Went here the other day, ordered 3 sandwiches with chicken and then were told there's no chicken left for the rest of the group. Fair enough. Half their sandwiches have chicken, and when another bunch came in asking for chicken, the owner said "we don't have any, they've bled us dry" referring to our group. 3 chicken sandwiches is "bleeding her dry" with 2 hours until closing. Sandwiches are good. Glad the young girl was there who brightened up the place.

Whilst visiting Hunstanton on Sunday it started to rain so we popped in here for a cuppa. In light of the current COVID-19 outbreak where everyone has upped their hygiene, I was disgusted to see that hygiene clearly wasn’t a priority in this cafe. After ordering my tea, I watched a young girl with a dirty cloth to wipe one of the tables without applying any cleaning spray. Someone ordered a bacon butty and the hot plate wasn’t cleaned down before the order was placed on. Needless to say, I left in a hurry never to return.

Popped in for some sandwiches, the young lady didn’t wash her hands after handling money and kept sweeping her hair back whilst preparing our sandwiches, toilets were also unpleasant, threw our sandwiches in the bin! I suppose I should have asked her to wash her hands but thought if that’s general hygiene standards what else is going on behind the scenes. Sorry Tina you need to improve your standards and staff training. After we left couldn’t see a food hygiene rating in the window.

Popped in here today to get a couple of hand-made sandwiches to keep us going on the Norfolk Coast Path. The staff were OK, but their produce was truly awful. My wife’s tuna mayo sandwich was acceptable ( it’s quite hard to go wrong with that), but I chose the chicken breast salad bap. I can honestly say that it was the worst chicken salad bap I have ever had. There was no butter in the big floury bap, (had I known that was their habit, I would have asked for mayo - which was not offered) the chicken had no taste at all, in fact the only part of the very dry, cloying meal was the raw red onion. It was hard to eat, being so dry, and gave me no pleasure at all. I will not be returning there.

Visited with friends and between us ordered 8 chicken salad baguettes to take away. Service was extremely poor with two staff taking an excessive amount of time to take the order down and take payment. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. After watching others come in after us and leave before us we asked how long the order would be but were told they didn’t know and were waiting for the chicken to be cooked! No timeframe could be established and staff were churlish and unhelpful. We asked to change the filling to gammon ham to speed up what had become a painful process, but this had also run out.Eventually we ended up with tuna and egg mayonnaise baguettes after approx 30 mins and losing the will to live. Will not return and would not recommend to my worst enemy!

There was nothing good to say about this place at all. Customer service was non existent , the girl taking the order was morose . Simple order of toasted tea cake, 2 x burgers and a chicken curry and rice I thought but obviously not . The curry was palatable but the rice was soaked in water which diluted the curry, the burgers were slapped on the bun, no offer of sauces etc and the tea cake must have been stale before it was toasted and left to stand. Nothing served at the same time and I had to ask for our tea ,which arrived just as we finished eating ! Poor quality of burgers and tea bags . No clear signage that this was cash only and I really wish we had walked away at that point rather than scrabbling around for enough cash to pay for the order.

We should have been warned by the fact that, whereas most other places were full, this was the only eatery that had any space. With hindsight we would have been better off waiting for a table elsewhere. I queued to give my order, the customers in front actually asked the girl behind the counter why she "Looked so miserable". She pointed to her red nose, streaming with cold, "It's just my nose." she said sullenly. Charming. Anyway, I gave our order and took out a card to pay. "Cash only" I was told. I duly sprinted to an ATM and got the required funds, thinking all the time that we should have said we would leave. When I returned, the 'nose girl' was just banging down a mug of tea in front of my wife, returning seconds later to literally throw a teaspoon on the table. The food, I have to say, when it finally arrived (about 20 minutes, and they were not rushed off their feet) was not too bad, but I ordered a coffee at £1.65 expecting at least a medium sized filter coffee. I got a mug of very poor instant muck. While we ate, my 8 year old could see the kitchen and informed me in horrified tones that he could see a fly crawling on someone's food that was being prepared. The whole lunch cost £23.00 (for two adults and two kids) and I couldn't help comparing this to other experiences where I have paid as much for far better fare, in far less jaded, drab-looking surroundings and with infinitely better staff. Next time we'll wait elsewhere or take a packed lunch.

... we probably wouldn't have come into this place. We stumbled into Tina's purely by accident - from the outside it seems inviting enough the fact that it was empty in peak season should've set our alarm bells ringing. The young girl who took our order was pleasant enough however her colleague who really couldn't have made it more clear that she would've rather have been somewhere else! The breakfast was on the more expensive side considering other cafe's close by are cheaper and are made with better ingredients. It was obvious that the griddle hadn't been cleaned to cook the eggs and bacon as it was surrounded in previously burnt food/oil. It seems that they are relying on customers who don't know that their are other choices. The owner needs to do something drastic to compete as I don't think it can survive providing service and food like this. One to avoid - there are much better alternatives!

Yes, how hard can sandwiches and jacket potatoes be?! I asked for a chicken tikka jacket potato, as it was nestled on the menu board between chicken curry, chilli etc., what do you think I got? Chicken tikka mixed with so much mayonnaise, even if I like mayo it would have been an effort! So I apologised and explained what I expected and they swapped it for chicken curry, but not without obvious disgruntlement! My dining partners had a baguette and a sandwich, neither of which were trailblazers unfortunately, we should have known by those horrible little neon price tags sticking out of the lone piece of gateau in the fridge. Staff seemed very unfriendly in this customer facing industry. Put Chicken Tikka Mayo on your menu board then!

Fancied a cream tea and went to Tina's,should have been warned when the place was nearly empty and surrounding establishments were full. Upon entering, the nose was assailed by the odour of hot animal fat. The order for two cream teas was eventually taken after the lady completed the task of scraping residue from a griddle. The tea arrived in two mugs and it was evident that the tea was very insipid resembling a mug of hot weak milk. The scones were undercooked, the jam was already spread and covered by aerosol cream which had melted by the time they reached the table. The ensemble tasted even more disgusting than it looked, and that is some achievment. The staff obviously could not be bothered to do something as simple to make a cup of tea properly.

Two adults and two dogs enjoyed our weekend at the GTI. From arrival, the personalised touches really made for a memorable experience- homemade cakes, gin and tonic in the suite, relaxed but efficient service and delightfully presented accommodation. The pub and restaurant is wonderful, the food is exceptional. The service was wonderfully attentive and relaxed, the prices were good value. We ate in the restaurant and the pub, both menus were superb. We visited beaches, ran around the Downs, shopped in Burnham Market and Thornham Farm shops.

Probably my worst WS meal ever. 3 sausages almost burnt, they were tasteless and well overcooked which I said to the server who grinned at me. The chips as usual most were hard and inedible, peas hard. Served in a bowl with gravy all over the chips. WS has had a problem with hard chips for months, I have complained to staff and emailed head office to no avail. Thats it I AM NOT eating at a WS any more.

Made to feel like a leper when we walked in by I assume locals just staring. My 13 year old daughter left the door open, to which one of them got up and slammed the door. Was told they'd put 2 small round tables together in the middle of the room for three of us. Felt so uncomfortable we left.
