Tin Sang in Merthyr Tydfil

Fancied some chips on my way through the area . The food here used to be good so stopped to get chips. Watched the guy put some chips in the fryer from what i assume must be the chip box on the side when I ordered a portion of chips. I asked how long they would take and he said about 5 mins. Having worked in a chip shop for over 20 years I knew you couldn't cook fresh chips in 5 mins so I queried it. The young guy was friendly enough and explained that they part cooked the chips and showed me a part cooked chip (it's called blanching) i asked if I could have fresh chips and he said that's what they do here. I asked for my money back as they don't taste the same when blanched and he gave the money back. I would have happily waited the extra 5 mins for freshly cooked chips.

brilliant food it is very clean the always gives us a warm welcome if I was to complain about anything it would be that the they don't have a card machine yet so make sure to get money out

Had to go here as Nelson is shut. Worst Chinese ever, chips were stale, chicken balls were tough and crispy chicken taste like grease. Go elsewhere don’t waste your money

It's OK as a Chinese but all curry's taste the same ,it's as if sauce is just added to a bit of meat n not cooked with each other the sauce flavour is not through the meat.

Was here last Sunday. Ordered chicken curry and chips,noodles and a portion of mushrooms. Mushrooms were great. Noodles tasted old! Curry was not nice!

Did a really good Chicken & Sweetcorn soup and only £2.70, definitely enough for a full meal. Also the Black haired teenager was really nice and easy to work with Will come again :)

Never once had a bad meal from here, food always hot and so tasty, the owner is so polite and welcoming. I would highly recommend.

Excellent food and very pleasant staff

Chips were dry and wrinkled, like as if they were warmed up from the afternoon. Chicken balls were really small not like normally.

Fantastic bit of food Edit: been here plenty of times over the mast few weeks and each time the food has been delicious and there is always a warm welcome.

Lovely chips with salt and vinegar. Chinese food is nice and good prices.

Getting steadily worse . This used to be a lovely Chinese but is going downhill rapidly. Greasy food, burnt noodles and chips and the meat is now clearly frozen.
