Most items were not available / required a 30+ minute wait, which was disappointing. However, the staff are very kind, patient, and friendly.

I am Nando’s lover and go to lots of different Nando’s restaurants but this is probably the worst one I’ve been to. Food wasn’t hot, service was poor.

Called earlier on to be told you could walk in and didn’t need to book due to past visits where this is the case. Came tonight and surprise same thing again was apparently told it would be a 20 minute wait so waited 20 minutes we weren’t called to go back in and say “we did call you but you didn’t respond” we’ve been waiting and no one called. Poor experience won’t return clearly wasn’t wanted there.

Turn up at 5.20pm, told there will be a 45min wait, even though the restaurant was genuinely less than half full. They have a notepad at the door of people who are supposedly arriving every 5 minutes from 5.15-6pm, even though they don’t take bookings and there is no sign of anyone arriving or queuing? Either have a booking in advance system or don’t 🤷‍♂️. A system that leaves half your tables empty is surely not the smartest way of going about it.

The food was absolutely amazing, almost as amazing as the service staff

Absolutely poor when I went a few weeks ago with a friend. We initially arrived to be told that there is a 20 minute wait on a table, so we came back 20 minutes later - ten minutes after and we are still waiting. The woman at the front looked as if she was allocating her friends first rather than accommodating those who turned up at their allocated time - appreciate it can get busy. The food that came back wasn’t my order and they had given me a chicken burger when I asked for chicken thighs and my halloumi was missing - understandably these things happen I know. The woman behind the counter didn’t put my chilli on my Nando’s card so I missed out on a reward, even after I gave her my Nando’s card number. She also looked as if she didn’t want to be there. What a shame

Missed feelings… We visited the Merthyr branch yesterday and the customer service was soooo welcoming, the lovely young lady with red hair provided such a fantastic service, she’s a credit to Nando’s! Honestly the best customer service we’d received for sometime. However tonight we ordered a delivery from Merthyr via DELIVEROO, which was incredibly disappointing, the portion sizes were shocking, it would’ve been fine if I was a hamster, but crikey… two fork full worth of chips.. not good! originally without the discount code I used it would’ve cost nearly £40 for two meals…I’ve been left feeling hungry, and disappointed… sad times.

Absolutely filthy. On arrival we had to walk through piles of cigarette stubs and rubbish. Hadn't been swept for days. The door handle was filthy and sticky. I had to wash my hands immediately on entering. Went to collect cuttlerytook out 6 sets which all had bits of food stuck to them. Had to ask staff fetch us something clean. Manager brought our food with a - look at me I'm cool- attitude. I explained everything to him and he sort of grudgingly apologised and walked away and that was it. We will never come back. Food poisoning is waiting to happen

Went to nandos today and I was very dissatisfied with the food... was awful and slimy worst burger I have ever eaten along with ordering my 1 year old a kiddies chicken breast which came back spicy Nandos you are a let down and because of my experience today I will never eat there again what a waste of £60

Foods always great here, comes out fast and hot. Service always warm and friendly. The woman with the red Lipstick who served us was lovely and couldn't do enough. Will always feel welcome to come back.

food was okay. what i have an issue with is the cross contamination all over the kitchen! if you’re ordering any of the dishes or you have an allergy then don’t worry because the server adam is putting dirty chicken back onto the grill after they’ve been dished up ready for service! staff are eating and drinking all over the place. expensive too. not the nice place it used to be.

The staff were excellent when we turned up with a group of 23 people. The food was served promptly, and a couple of errors were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The only issue on the day was that desserts were offered and bought, only to them discover that they were out of stock. (Obviously these were refunded, but it was a bit of a disappointment).

Waited 20 minutes passed my collection time- didnt have part of my order and didn’t have hardly any options left to order from. Got home with my food and the chicken is so dry it’s difficult to eat. Really disappointed

Merthyr Nandos eh. They were super busy but it was Saturday night I guess. We were told we'd have to wait 40 mins but only waited about 15 so that was good. Food still took ages tho. Was a bit dry. Not the best nandos experience but still enjoyed it. Plenty of sights in there 👀😂

Had no opportunity to try the food. Walked in and asked for a table for 2 at 19:01. Restaurant busy so was advised of a 10-15 minute wait. Not a big deal it happens. There’s an arcade next door. Was advised that we didn’t have to wait directly outside but could come back within 10-15 minutes. So sauntered off to return at 19:14. Was advised by the same member of staff that he’d called our name outside twice and that satisfied his requirement to give the place in the queue to somebody else. That’s an absolute joke.

Food is not all that, I would not rush to go again ..

Gees I love nando's, Merthyr one is good as they don't seem to get my orders wrong unlike the one in Nantgarw a few times did. Would recommend Merthyr for sure! 💪

Good atmosphere but waited 60mins for food with everybody who arrived after us eating before us. After complaining our food appeared and looked like it had been sat under the heat lamp for 45mins and the chips looked like they had been sabotaged for our complaint with 99% peri salt and 1% potato

can't handle the spice unfortunately

Used to be a five star here, but since lick down 1 star isn't low enough for this awful example of a decent brand. You can't book up, so that means our remember family can never eat here, as th the is never a table for ten available to just turn up at the door. Today just six of us attempted to eat here, despite the restaurant being less than half full, the waitress tried to seat the dix of us at a four seater table by putting two chairs on the end. Quite where she expius to all our out foodie don't know, when this waspinted out to her she went all stroppy saying it'd be at least twenty minutes for a table, when there were at least two places I could see where a four and a two could be pushed together to get our six seater. We then tried to pull the four seater she originally offered us out a little way to put the extras on each end, whereupon she virtually accosted me For doing so even tjithh it wouldn't have put the table any further out than any other tables on that row. Simply awful service from a restaurant that used to be good. The answer is so simple, start taking reservations again and avoid reviews such as this one.

Food was cooked well, service was super fast and easy to order with the app. The only downside was that the music was a little too loud, and I found it slightly difficult to talk to my mum across the table.

Food was absolutely awful, I get they have to compromise with allergies but their is absolutely no excuse for chicken to be dryer than a bone left in the hot sun for two weeks, also the chicken had zero flavouring at all so was absolutely tasteless, for a first time visit I was very disappointed in the food. Not to mention the lady in yellow that served us the food misgender my girlfriend by saying "here you go sir" wasn happy about that all if a staff member is unsure on a person's gender then please ask what are the correct pronouns to use before just assuming what they are, I really wanted to have a go at this person but my girlfriend said not to and ignore what that horrible server said as it does happen, it shouldn't happen at all in my opinion and staff really needs to be retrained in asking for correct pronouns instead of insulting people. I really don't recommend going for the food as like I said so dry, but also if you are trans or non binary I do not recommend going either as the staff will call you by the wrong pronouns. Another reason not to go is that it's not autism and adhd friendly at all, it's way to loud not just because of people but also because the music was so loud we couldn't hear the person showing us to a table was super uncomfortable and over stimulating as hell. Also I'd like to add the food was that bad that I left it mostly uneaten I had like a few bites and couldn't eat it that we left and went to the mcdonald's across the road which actually tasted better and wasn't dry at all.

We had a delightful experience at Nando's with our 8-month-old daughter! The staff was welcoming and accommodating, making our visit enjoyable. As an Indian family, we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and flavorful spicy food. The ambiance was lively, and the service was prompt. Highly recommended for families who enjoy a bit of spice in their meals!

Found it cold in the dining area . Glad I was wearing a warm top .

Following a series of improvements during the last few years, the place is now a much better place to eat and the seating has improved a lot.

the food was rotten I ordered corn and the ends was decaying. the quality is surely something nandos pride themselves on especially at the premium rates they charge. spoken to branch awaiting resolution deliveroo didn't want to help. quick taking money but not resolving issues when they arrise.

Ordered to take away. Food was nice. Prepared very quickly, we ordered and was out the door within 10 minutes. Food was nice, chicken a little dry but overall nice. Service excellent :)

Apparently you couldn't find us to deliver the order even though we've ordered and had deliveries plenty of times from you before. Won't be ordering again or bother with going to eat in if your drivers can't be bothered to find a straightforward delivery address.

Cheeky Nandos. Always hits the spot. Juicy chicken, lots of tasty sides. It's a huge calorie hit but who cares. Butterfly chicken is my personal favourite. Not cheap mind can cost 15-20 quid depending on options. Everytime I come back to the UK I get a Nandos

Called in an order for take away, ended up waiting over 15 minutes past my assigned pickup time for food to be ready, chips were cold in my son's meal as his food had been boxed first, 15 minutes wait on an order called in is excessive while my son and wife's food got cold waiting for one item to be cooked. First time at Nando's. Didn't enjoy having to get up to order or collect sauces, cutlery and drinks. Food was ok.
