Tim's Table in Hertsmere

Do not eat here if you suffer with allergies. First, the waiting staff could not provide an allergy menu (they do not have one - in spite of the legal requirement to be able to produce this information). Second, when we asked for a simple half a peking duck, we couldn't have this either as the restaurant fries nut-based dishes in the same oil as the rest of the other food. I ended up having a quarter duck and my partner, with allergies, just had rice... and then she had an allergic reaction. Cross-contamination is rife in this kitchen. We will not be back.

Lovely food, friendly service, reasonably priced and air condtioned. Good ambience. What more could you ask for? Myself and my two grown up children loved it and will be back.

This is not about a visit, it’s a delivery. I ordered as the football was on at 8pm and they promised delivery by 19.45. By 20.30 no delivery. Very very disappointed. I contacted restaurant to be told our food was being cooked !! I said what do you mean,being cooked I was promised delivery by 19.45?. They said they’ve only got one driver. I asked why in that case did they take the order and why did they say 19.45?, They said sorry but these things happen (wow). I said once you knew you were behind, why didn’t contact me ? They said we have contacted some customers but haven’t gotten around to you? I said then cancel and refund immediately. They said can’t do that as food now cooking. Bottom line is that I’ll never use this restaurant again. Fact.

Went to Tim's Table for the first time since lockdown and once there remembered why we hadn't been back sooner - they are quite rude. After we finished our main course they asked us if we wanted tea or coffee, we said "don't you do desserts?" The waiter grudgingly brought over the dessert menu, looked at his watch and said "We do close at 11pm" it was only 9.50pm at the time! Food was Ok but portions a bit on the small side. Don't think we'll be going back anytime soon

Hugely disappointed overall. Very small portion for the price. Awful tasting pad thai. Home made Thai green curry would have been tastier than the Thai green curry from here. The only nice tasting dish was chilli crispy beef - the container was only half filled. Will never return. Does not live up to the reviews.

This is one of our most favorite restaurants in Radlett. It has been consistently good for the 15 years I've been in the village. The young couple that now own and run this along with the rest of the staff are so welcoming and the food is outstanding! Great recent refurbishment means that the restaurant is perfect for any occasion.

My friends and myself visited Tim’s Table Saturday after a long gap. Whist the food was tasty, all our meals were served cold. We did not complain since the restaurant was busy and the staff were rushed. The servers were quite miserable and could not wait to clear our table the minute we finished. We were advised but the Manager/Chief Waiter at 9.45 that they closed at 11.00 which made it obvious that we had to rush our meal. No sooner we were presented with the bill again the Waiter hovered. The staff certainly had “attitude” which reminded us why we had not visited for a while. We certainly will not return in a hurry.

Lovely restaurant, felt warm and cosy from the moment we walked in the door. The service is excellent and the food was very tasty and high quality. The main courses were priced quite low, the dish I ordered was just £10...but when it arrived it was much smaller than I expected. I would rather have paid more for a bigger portion. The starter on the other hand, salt and pepper Squid, was definitely over priced. Cost almost as much as the main at £8.95 but was only a few pieces. (It was very juicy and crispy though...just wish there was more of it!) So, as tasty as the food was, I left still hungry. We arrived quite close to closing, so there wasn't any time to order any more food after we ate what we initially ordered. I had to go into the Tesco next door for some snacks to take home! Bottom line is the portions are far too small. I'd rather pay a little more for adult sized portions. We ate literally every single crumb they served and were still hungry. I've been to other restuarants with small portions that will let you know that what you ordered may not be enough if you're hungry. Doesn't matter how good the food is, leaving a restaurant hungry is a failure on the restuarants behalf. I'd still go back though, I'll just remember to order more food! 😁

We have been eating at Tim's table since 1989 but less frequently now as we no-longer live in the area. Whenever we visit a friend in the area we ask to eat at Tim's. The restaurant has been redecorated since our last visit and looks fresh & modern but still has a welcoming atmosphere. The food we think has improved and we enjoyed a very good meal with excellent service. Would recommend.

Lovely, stylish decor, newly done. Food was very tasty. But portions, eg beans, were too small. Left feeling bit hungry. Had a very warm welcome, with waitress very helpful in guiding us through the menu. But the place became very busy - it was full at 6pm on a Saturday - and then it was hard to get anyone’s attention as they were focusing on the large groups.

It's very expensive for what you get. Maybe because it's in Radlett! Hard pass for me next time. Shouldn't cost over £100 for 2 adults and a child. Tiny portions. Who needs to order 3 portions of rice? 4 starters, 2 mains and 3 rice. Way too expensive. And the waiter handled my fork after the starters and I had to use it for my mains! I certainly didn't and used the untouched spoon instead. The food is tasty but I'll go elsewhere in future.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it never fails to deliver such delicious food. I live further away now, so it makes it harder to visit but Tim's Table will always be one of my favourite places to eat.

Tim's Table very kindly assisted my company with a television shoot themed around Chinese New Year. They provided excellent service, even purchasing custom ingredients for us and preparing bespoke dishes to suit our filming needs. The owners Wing and Lucia are very friendly and were incredibly professional given we were filming with high profile talent. The restaurant could not cope with the amount of take aways and deliveries that were going out while the restaurant was also full. We waited for 15 minutes just to order and during this time we were ignored several times when trying to catch someone’s attention to order, meanwhile the take aways were constantly being handed to people waiting at the front. When we finally ordered it took 30 minutes (not an estimate) for starters to arrive which is slow in any restaurant but particularly slow in a Chinese restaurant. The Manager has a policy that for some reason he can’t take anyone’s order and someone else must do it, constantly saying someone will come and clearly telling the table next to us “I can’t take your order”, eventually that customer got up and walked to the bar pleading for someone to take their order. The Manager not taking food orders caused a further delay and is not helpful, not sure why this is and it makes no sense. It’s a piece of paper that they pass to the kitchen and nothing more so there is no technical reason for him to be exempt from this task when clearly customers have been waiting. Eventually he was willing, with an element of frustration, to take our order for our main courses which shows there is no real reason he can’t do it. The main courses came quicker because by that time the restaurant had almost emptied. We were there for almost two hours for what was meant to be a quick Chinese. Very poor service.

Have been going to Tim’s Table for years - went for a Friday night catch up dinner this week with my family (eight of us) and baby! Food was really good when eating at the restaurant. Wine list was also good.

Food was tasty but the portions were small and VERY expensive. It was not good value for money. There are many better restaurants nearby. The first and last time for me at Tim's Table sadly .

The best Chinese around this area! Been coming here since it opened and would never go anywhere else. The service is amazing and the staff are so friendly and will do anything for you!! Tim’s Table Manners Tim's Table Chinese Restaurant in Radlett offers a delightful dining experience. The food is not only delicious but also complemented by excellent service. The atmosphere is pleasant, making it a great choice for a cozy meal. My fiancée and I enjoyed the Chicken Skewers starter, and the Crispy Shredded Beef and Prawn Curry were standout dishes. The Pad Thai impressed with its light and lovely flavors. The overall experience was characterized by delicately spiced dishes, ensuring a satisfying yet not overly rich culinary adventure. We'll definitely be returning for more.

We had thought we would eat in a different restaurant, but we were drawn in by the aroma of food wafting into the street! We were not disappointed. This is the best Chinese I think we have ever had. Gorgeous food and very good value for money.

Ordered on a Saturday night and waited nearly 2 hours for the order to be delivered. I was told it would arrive after 1 hour. The restaurant didn't call us to tell us there was a huge delay, I had to chase them for this information. Food was like warm, smaller portions than would have expected for the money. Very average at best. Will not be returning.

We had takeaway tonight for the 1st time as our usual place was closed. We spent approx £30 more than usual for 4 of us and quite frankly the food was very average and took nearly 2 hours to arrive despite us calling to check. We will not return.

Had a take away from here for my birthday dinner and initially I was quite impressed, small portions but good starter and nice duck but then went on to a sizzler, noodles and rice and I was very disappointed at the blandness. No spice, minimal seasoning and again the very small portions. It is better than some other local options but I had to add salt,chilli and soy to make it a decent experience. I also had to pay c £2 for some apparently home made chilli oil which came in a small tub enough just about for one person across the different dishes! I was hoping for so much more from this place and maybe the dine in experience is different but high prices, small portions and lack of spice/seasoning made this one I would have to really ponder going back to vs just driving to one of the other Chinese places I trust albeit a further distance away

Dads 75th birthday party was wonderfully organised by the team. The table was perfect and the feast for 13 of us Devine. We have been regulars for 15 years and the service and food are wonderful. We are lucky to have you in our village. Thanks

I came here for my 23rd and brothers’ 21st birthday. This is by far my favourite Chinese restaurant around the the area! The rib starter was AMAZING! Such a great, chilled vibe and affordable food. Lovely owners. I’ll definitely be coming back after the refurb in November!

Firstly, the staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming and helpful with all my “what’s in this dish” type questions. The restaurant is cosy and has a nice atmosphere. The food itself is fantastic with Generous portions and it is fresh and well flavoured. The Vegetable Spring Rolls are a favourite treat of mine. Service is on point and at a good pace, the prices are good too and I haven’t left feeling anything less than full and satisfied. I’ve definitely got my favourite dishes sorted now but will also try a few new ones next time in the name of variety and probably after some more “what’s this” type questions.

Four of us went for a birthday dinner on Saturday evening. We ordered 2 Gourmet set menus which was more than enough, and managed to guzzle 3 bottlels of wine. Great company Great Service Great food and wine for £50.00 per head inc service and a bit more. Would highly reccomend.

Food was greasy, over cooked and overpriced. We barely ate after a £67 bill and are all awaiting the dreaded runs with what we did consume. Was told that the greasy soggy food was “just their way” and the over cooked ribs that nearly broke my recently fixed tooth was just how they came. Not a local of radlett, but regretting trying. Also why give sweet and sour sauce that’s literally one table spoons worth? What are we going to use that for bar a shot?

Food was nice but was not very hot and a bit expensive for what it was. Staff were very friendly, restaurant was clean and tidy. However don't think we will go back again.

Tim came to cook on July 10, 2023 and it was really great! He prepared a 5-course dinner for us and selected good wines. Great food, delicious wines with a nice background story about the wines! Tim is not only good at cooking, the communication before he comes to cook is also fast and responds quickly to your questions! Definitely recommended and we will definitely book a delicious dinner with Tim again!

As previously reviewed we have visited this restaurant many times over the last 30-35 years, firstly when we lived in the area and now when visit friends who still live in the area. Had a good meal on a busy Saturday night, with friendly staff at good prices. Tim's has got it's MOJO back follow a small iffy patch a couple of years ago. Well worth a visit.

This place has slowly gone downhill over the years. Had a take away last night it was over fried , small portions of tasteless food. Very disappointing. Overpriced rubbish it’s a shame seeing as it’s a local establishment and you want to support them. They should maybe call it a day and pack up shop. I won’t be returning and would not recommend.

Best Chinese around! I’ve been going there with my family for decades now and it never disappoints! I don’t get the reviews saying it’s expensive as ours came to just over £40 a head including alcoholic drinks which I think is very reasonable and we’ve both come away with full bellies!!! I HIGHLY recommend Tim’s, it’s always my first choice for a Chinese meal.

Booked for lunch prior to theatre. We were the only ones there, and they had no heating on. There was a small, inadequate fan heater on the next table, which did nothing to heat where we sat. I appreciate heating is now expensive, but this is a restaurant, and it’s unacceptable to sit there freezing.

A little gem in Radlett! Good food at very reasonable prices. Wine is a bit pricey though but its Radlett 🙄 One star docked because we we taken to the table closest to the kitchen when a lot of other tables were available - we should have been asked if we prefer a different table. I came for my first ever dine in Chinese, as I've always had takeaway. Its a very nice posh restaurant and amazing staff that know the menu off by heart. Food was amazing an nice to have it plated for you rather than having to do it yourself if you got a takeaway. Nice selection of food to suit all. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because of the potion sizes, they are quite small so we found you had to double up to get what you would of got from a normal takeaway Chinese. Still lovely food tho.

We went there years ago and wasn't very impressed. Great improvement and really enjoyed the food. Had to double up on rice and noodles- maybe they could serve a bigger portion for a little more cost when the group is more than 2. Good value and great service. Takeaway is obviously very popular.

Every dish is cooked to perfection and believe me when we say we’ve tried every dish on the menu we literally have time and time again and still enjoying dishes just as much now as we’ve always have. Ate here for the first time in many a year having previously been a regular but disappointed with our last visit in 2015.The restaurant was welcoming, the staff friendly with good COVID precautions. We ordered a starter each, a quarter of duck, a main each plus rice & bean sprouts. The food was cooked well, served hot and was tasty. Overall we enjoyed a very pleasant meal at reasonable prices including the wine. Would definitely put Tim's back on our regular list when visiting friends in the area.

Big thank you to Tim’s Table for a fabulous takeaway meal on New Years Evening. The Chinese food we ordered was collected from the restaurant and was ordered the day before for collection at 20.00 . It was ready about 10 minutes after 8 and was really fresh and hot when I got it home. The staff were truly lovely and helpful. Social distancing and masks were worn by everyone and they had clearly gone to a lot of trouble to ensure government guide lines were met. We had lots of starters , crispy duck ( which was excellent) and chicken with cashew nuts in yellow been sauce. All really tasty and so enjoyable . I highly recommend this restaurant

Waited an hour and forty five minutes for a take out order to be delivered and truly not worth waiting for. Food quality really poor and everything cooked in old burnt oil. Almost inedible and my first and last order from Tims Table. Avoid avoid.

On a recommendation we celebrated the end of lockdown and a return to uni for the some of our household. We were seated at a large table for 5 and made to feel welcome immediately. Prompt service with drinks and crackers followed. A good vegan choice for some of our party. With fish and other meats dishes for the rest. The broccoli tempura was a highlight together with the vegan Singapore noodles. Overall a great meal really enjoyed by all. The clean plates were a testimony to the quality and very enjoyable variety of dishes. Finish with the banana fritters you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy.
