Tilsworth Golf & Conference Centre in Central Bedfordshire

Booked to celebrate my 60th for a three course family meal for 27 people. Prepaid deposit and balance paid 10-14 before meal which made the whole experience more pleasurable instead of the usual chaos that goes with most gatherings after finishing eating . The whole experience from start to finish was pleasant and professional . From the attention to detail, place cards for everyone with pre ordered menu choices to make things flow smoothly, to taking my birthday cake and cutting it up for us all. We had a private room all set out when we arrived. We were left to decorate as we wished. On to the food. Pictures attached of some of what was ordered. All the guests commented on how lovely all the food was. Delicious roast served with seasonal vegetables, cauliflower cheese etc. Gravy served in jugs which was a welcomed idea. All puddings , especially sticky toffee , went down a treat. Food arrived nice and hot . Everyone had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed their meal, I couldn’t have wished for more. Would definitely recommend and I wouldn’t hesitate to book here in the future. Thank you to all the staff.

Great venue for a meeting or conference as there's a golf club on site! Meals are good quality and prepared on site, and there is also a licensed bar. Everything together on one site, we use it for our group meetings and lunches every month. There's been a slight price rise recently (Mar '23), but it is still good value.

Played well but the course was not looked after. divots on the green, twigs on the green. tee boxes non existent

It's very old looking, but it's good for hitting a few balls

Was a brilliant experience went to the driving range after getting some golf clubs even tho I had never hit a golf ball in my life I explained this to one of them gents who worked there named Scott and he couldn't be more helpful he took time to show me what club was best to start off with and even showed me how to hold the club properly and how to stand and my attemps was much better than before would 100% recommend for anyone starting out or for someone who has just started to show an interest in golf

Did what we needed. Not flashy but reasonable.

The meals are always really good. Been going many years.

We arranged our wedding one year prior and Nick and his team were very supportive from our initial appointment, we had the midweek package on a bank holiday weekend Sunday and this made the Wedding very affordable but the service quality of food and service from all staff was exceptional. The team went through everything with us prior to the weddIng and on the actual day coordinated everything we asked for. Nick also gave us the opportunity to go out on a golf buggy with our photographers which was an amazing experience. We were able to collect all our items the following day and leave our cars at the venue overnight. Overall would recommend this place for a wedding as it was enjoyable for all.

Our family celebrated my wife’s birthday at Tilsworth Golf Club. The staff, who attended to our every need, were friendly and efficient and thoroughly deserve absolute top marks. The food was delicious - cooked perfectly, well presented and plentiful, in fact everything was faultless from start to finish. Our thanks go to everyone at Tilsworth Golf Club for making it an enjoyable and memorable family occasion.

Fantastic venue and a good Golf challenge, excellent facilities, fully stocked Pro shop and driving range. Equally important a very friendly welcome from all the staff. When you’ve done all that go to the bar for a pint and some food, the food and drinks are excellent, home cooked food and at a great price you won’t get better locally.

We booked this venue for our parents celebrations. The service and support we all received, from viewing to the actual day, was second to none. Several guests commented on how lovely the room was and the food was superb. Would highly recommend this venue.

We celebrated my husband’s 80th birthday here yesterday. 64 of us enjoyed a delicious meal, in lovely surroundings, served with friendly and professional courtesy. The food was superb, every meal arrived beautifully presented and hot. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for Nick, Lauren, Ross, Daniel, Charlotte and the team. Right from the start Lauren helped with all the planning process. The tables looked lovely and the room set up worked perfectly for us.We had quite a few ‘dietary’ requirements, all expertly catered for by Ross. Altogether, a fantastic, faultless experience thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The cost was very reasonable and proved really excellent value for money.

Lovely place for family gathering. The staff were friendly and served the food with a smile. We felt very well looked after. My husband enjoyed his lamb steak meal.

We came here for a family of friends event on Saturday 6th November. There was plenty of parking, the facilities were clean and the owners were brilliant hosts. Big shout out to the staff as well who were exceptional. The food was great too but best of all they open till late so we partied to our hearts content. I would highly recommend it here and we look back to coming back again!!

We had an event on this venue n the 6th of November. I must admit, we had the best time hosted by the owner and the Son. Such a welcoming place with nicely decorated decor that complimented our event. The location and the parking space did it for us. Everything about this place was on point. The best place to host a family event

We had our wedding Reception at Tilsworth 28th August 2021. It was just perfect Nick and his team was amazing and really helped us have the perfect day, nothing was a problem for him to the point he even repaired my table plan for me 😂🙈. The food was amazing the day was relaxed well planned. We didn’t want it to end. We had our wedding originally planned for July 2020 but to due Covid we had to postpone twice, Nick was so helpful and accommodating. I would do it all again in a heartbeat if I could it was the best day. ❤️

Driving range, good fun and great practice before hitting the course.

Table layout was spectacular. Food was brilliant and bar service was quick and effective. Their recommended DJ did an excellent job with the disco. They even allowed us to use their golf caddies to drive onto the course for excellent photo opportunities. Everything was well organised and we got everything we wanted. Which is even more impressive considering we had less time than usual to organise the reception. Craig

Only used the range but seemed well looked after and a decent price.

Excellent value, good challenge. Bit more sand in the bunkers would be better, but thats my fault for finding that out spose🤷‍♂️😂!!!

We would like to highly recommend Tilsworth Golf and Conference setting following our wedding reception yesterday (26th June 2021) Everything went without a hitch and Nick, Lauren and the team were simply amazing and the whole reception went without a hitch. So the reason it is a 1 star rating is because I played about 2 weeks ago and got to the 4th hole then spent 20 minutes trying to get rid of a dog that shouldn't of even been there not only was that off-putting but also the greens were in a terrible state

Often here for a bucket of balls. Can get busy on the driving range but I've never had to wait. Great course too but book in advance

The golf course is a joke queues galore had 18 holes booked but gave up on hole ten because of the time it had taken 3 hrs to do nine holes

Sorry to leave a bad review in the current climate but this course is dangerous and this is a genuine review on a true experience... should really be a nine hole course. Very confusing lay out too. Balls come from all angles as some holes cross over- we got nearly taken out by stray balls at least 4 times with no calls. Guys in front were the slowest group I have ever seen, we ended up having to run past them to get to the next hole or we would have still be playing the next day. Probably not fussed but we won’t ever come back here.

We recently got married at Tilsworth, a socially distanced service and had a Wedding Breakfast meal. I have to say that Nick the manager went over and beyond expectations to make sure it went perfectly. ~He was stood at the ready with a massive umbrella as it was pouring when I arrived. The room was very well presented with our choice of coverings and colour scheme. We were lucky enough to have a break in the weather long enough to have our photos done outside on the green, beautiful setting. The meal was delicious, masks were worn by staff. We can not thank them enough for the very special way we were treated and would highly recommend the venue. thank you from Angie & Chris

Not one of the best courses in my opinion, very tight and tees crossing tees, having to wait for 1 tee to go before you can,just a strange layout. The course itself isnt in bad nik butvthe layout isnt goodcand can be confusing. 6-10

Popped in to use the driving range (open to non-members). Friendly and helpful stall in a well stocked shop. Nice bar with good looking food.

Golf course average but the clubhouse very welcomeing great device from Steve and all the team

The most confusing course I have ever played, I have never seen 2 holes tee off on the same tee box before, and literally wandering around looking for next holes. Courses should be designed so your at least facing/ guided to next hole, and would it be too costly/ difficult to number each pin flag and maybe update the tee guides. Majority of courses I have played show map on tee board, and have guide sticks on all blind holes.

Needs an upgrade to the driving range.

Played here a lot recently with the old man always enjoyable course. Just a shame about some of the other players golf etiquette not letting you through when their 4 balls and your a 2 ball. Definitely will be returning though !

Just on the driving range. But all good. Very hot day and range sits in the sun. Staff very helpful and polite.

Excellent gem of a golf course. Played on a Friday night and we had a very quick round just over 3 hours. Really nice course, quite short but interesting holes and really nice greens. Overall fantastic round we will be back

Just visited the driving range today. Set out well for social distances. The only thing I could say is the tee's have seen better days and should be replaced. Overall experience good.

Played there this morning, nice course, good condition...could do with some next tee boards as a little confusing on some holes. Would definitely play again.

Rude power hungry staff. Zero people skills.

We went for a round and it was very, very wet. We managed 5 holes and had to call it a day. The course has a lot of standing water on it that needs to dry out to make it playable.

We used Tilsworth Golf Centre for the family gathering following my Father’s Funeral in January. Nick and his team were excellent from our initial enquiry about the packages available and throughout the day of the funeral. They made everything run smoothly and could not have been more helpful. Dad played golf here for many years and it was simply the most perfect send off for him.

Played Sunday on a cheap rate/deal after 12. Would struggle to find better value for money. Enough variety and difficulty, along with the bonus of having the course to ourselves for the whole front 9, which was unbelievable. Not going to lie, tiring walking some of the hills but well worth it for the views. Superb.

Absolutely lovely evening , well organised, with a finger buffee and disco. It is welll located and has a goood size car park too.

The Leighton Linslade Cancer Support Group again held its annual Christmas lunch at Tilsworth and once more it was impossible to fault the food, service and ambience of this venue. It is consistently excellent in all respects - after all, it is rare for a party of 50 plus individuals to be unanimous in their praise of a particular venue, which is why we return to Tilsworth year on year. So once again, thank you to Nick and all of your team.

People and service very friendly, they are constantly working to restore and improve the building.

My sons wedding reception was held here and it was a great success. The organisation was very good with Nick managing the day and being master of ceremonies. The food was excellent and the day became the evening disco seemlessly. Nothing but excellent comments from guests. Would recommend this venue highly.

Most of the course is in good condition apart from the greens. There are some bare patches that will affect your putts. I wasn't really a fan of the layout of the course as there are a lot of blind tee shots and if your playing the course for the first time you'll have no idea where to aim or what club to hit. The people at the club seemed nice

Had an amazing day, all the staff decorated the room perfectly and made our wedding reception magical, food was absolutely beautiful, all my guests commented on how nice it was and how they all had a brilliant day and evening, nick was a bri8host and made our day stress free as he sorted everything for us so we could just enjoy our day

An enjoyable 18 hole course. The staff are friendly and members especially so, I was greeted by happy members half a dozen times. Greens are a little bald in places, but no problem for a practicing or casual game of golf. The course itself is rather interesting, with a mix of parkland and links-type holes. Several kinked fairways and some challenging pitch shots off the tee keep this course interesting, whilst it is generally quite wide and forgiving also. Pro shop is a moderately well stocked and club prices are competitive. Driving range looks quite tired, but all in all i am really pleased to have stumbled upon this golf centre. It really makes a difference when the members give visitors a warm reception - so thanks.

Very helpful staff and great food too

Tilsworth is my local course that I have played at least once a year for the last 15 years. I've always enjoyed playing here and it has a challenge that suits all golf levels. There are a number of standout holes that I always look forward to playing. And the course condition this year is perfect and easily the best I've seen it in the last 5 years. Well done to all who prepare the course. I'd definitely recommend this course.

I recently had the lovely task of organising my parents golden Wedding Anniversary party. From 100 miles away the communication was fantastic, every question answered every whim catered for and also some very helpful suggestions. On the day the venue was set up beautifully, the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional and we received so many compliments from our guests. I cannot thank Nick and his team enough for a fabulous party.

The course is a little tight not giving much room for errors but is nicely looked after

Following a recommendation on venues for my wedding reception I decided to give Tilsworth a call.I've visited before so always knew it was nice. The place itself is nice looking, nothing out of this world,though. The food was absolutely fantastic, they catered for 72 people with no problem. The hall we were in was superbly turned out, and Nick and his staff couldn't have been anymore helpful if they tried. Brilliant venue, brilliant location (loads of parking) friendly hard working staff and superbly organised by Nick. Took the stress away from what could have been a fraught day. I would 100% recommend to anyone who needs a venue for a do to use them. Very keen prices as well. Also had meals there before and after my wedding on separate visits. Also highly recommended. Just don't snack before going as they portions are too generous!!

The range could do with a little tlc, nice bar area and staff, well stocked pro shop.

What a lovely place really nice surprise - well maintained fairways, golf shop well stocked, coffee and sausage / bacon baps arrived promptly (unlike some more expensive courses I could mention) some of the holes brilliant full of character the one thing that would of helped a first timer like me was better signage between holes very confusing- overall a great experience would definitely recommend

Great course, very friendly and welcoming

Visited once for a shooting range session and I found it was good fun and lasted a while for a bucket of 100 balls. Whilst not playing golf or been to anything like this before, it’s fun and I look forward to returning to improve on my skills yet to come. Great value and helpful staff. Good for socialising. Recommend

A tight, demanding but pleasant course to play backed up by an exceptional pro shop and a really good restaurant and bar well worth a visit

This was me and my friends first time at this course. Course was easy to find and staff were very friendly. Club shop is stacked with the latest equipment and bar is well stocked. Lots of bays for the driving range.

Couldn't fault the staff, the venue or the food it was all excellent! Our guests wren very impressed withe food which was piping hot and delicious.

Course suffering a bit with the weather however great facilities and staff make you feel welcome either in the pro shop or bar, food can also be bought at great value

A great night was had by all who attended from our company for the Christmas bash.. Good food,good wine and lots and lots of dancing to some cracking tunes! We will book next year definitely.

Excellent location for golf tuition with the added bonus of an excellent bar and catering for all size parties from singles to groups. Nice view of the open countryside and spacious parking make for a stress free experience. Our club meets there monthly.

Probably the worst course condition I have ever seen. Truly awful. Should not be open to the public.

Very Dissapointed with the condition of the course. Infact pretty poor. The Greens weren't green. Tee boxes we're dreadful, some of the fairways had big cracks and holes on them.Not good....Not coming back ☹

First time I played on a golf course. 108 on a par 69 for an absolute beginner. Would defo come back.

Driving range needs some upkeep mats and tees all look tired. Range itself is tired and messy it needs targets. Practice bunker needs improving and putting green could be closer. Course itself is good and a challenge as not flat and boring. Greens and fairways in good condition Holes could be marked better

Our perfect wedding was due to Nick and his team for their outstanding performance. Excellent venue for civil service and reception. Perfect settings for photos all around. Food of excellent quality and quantity. Good size dance floor area

My wife and 2 children took booked yesterday on Father’s Day for Lunch. The bar and restaurant area are immaculately clean and all staff are very friendly. The food was excellent with a great choice of both food and drinks. It was busy but you wouldn’t have known it’s as the service was spot on and made sure you had everything you wanted. They made us feel very welcome and will certainly go there again.

Golf course needs a lot of TLC. Greens in a poor state and fairways have lots of grass cuttings on them. Quite long walks between tees. I did not enjoy the experience. The bonus was an enjoyable lunch after a disappointing and slow round of golf.
