Wonderful greeting, with very good coffee and breakfast. Very clean and friendly place on a busy little high street with parking just down the road.

I am local and have visited this establishment many times since it opened a few years ago. With the previous owner and the new. It’s always been a bit hit or miss with service. The food is nice, good variety, a bit overpriced. Unfortunately the kitchen seems to close at a bit of a weird time at 2pm! So if you want to go for lunch better get there early. It’s a shame it doesn’t offer a roast option on a Sunday. The outside seating area is nice. The inside seating area can be a bit cramped as there’s not much room and seems to be tables crammed in wherever possible. Sometimes you are forced to sit outside if you want to eat there which in the colder months can be off putting. When I visited once I did get the luxury of the outside heaters being put on but it didn’t really do a lot. Unsure if it’s still dog friendly.

Called in for a bit to eat after a walk on the Moor. We were given a lovely welcome and nothing was too much trouble by staff. We decided on a full English and a pot of Tea for two. As the pot of Tea was delivered to the table the lovely lady said don't be frightened to ask for a top up, which we did later. The breakfast was very tasty and very good value. The staff or owner makes this place with it's nice homely feel.

Super little café in lovely Buckfastleigh. Beautiful courtyard garden where a weekly local farmers' market is held. Excellent coffee and goodies. Friendly and helpful crew. Log burner for those chilly days. 🇬🇧🇳🇿

Came here as a group of seven on a cycling trip from Plymouth, rang in advance and booked a table. Secure area to store our bikes, beautifully kept large outside courtyard. Had lovely lunches (beans on toast, scones, cake, avocado and eggs on toast, delicious hot tea and coffees). Thank you to Jessica and her team for looking after us - everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I visited twice now for lunch & i have to say how enjoyable both visits were. The Steak and Stilton pie was excellent served by a lovely staff who obviously enjoy their work. Very friendly nothing is too much trouble. It’s refreshing to find somewhere with the atmosphere that they seem to have created. Well recommended!

We caught the steam train to Buckfastleigh from Totnes on Tuesday. The village was quiet, only 1 pub and cafe open at lunch time. So pleased we decided on Tikka's. Staff very welcoming and the food was sumptious. My wife had a salad and I had a cheese bap, washed down with a local Devon beer. Freshly prepared with all the trimmings. You must sit in the delightful garden at the rear if you can. Such an enjoyable day out topped off with a very nice lunch.

Today we visited this lovely tea room in buckfastleigh. Our first time but not our last. Our breakfast was excellent. Staff and owner were very pleasant and helpful. The weather was not at its best so we stayed indoors. Afterwards we explored the garden area. It's one of the nicest tea gardens we have ever seen. Cannot wait to go back on a sunny DAY!! Without a doubt a hidden gem. Parking was very close by and reasonable too. Absolutely worth a visit . Shirley David and Jill from Exeter

We caught the steam train from Totnes to Buckfastkeigh over the August Bank Holiday weekend and chose to have lunch at Tikka’s because they advertised a dog friendly garden. Well, that turned out to be one of our best decisions all weekend. I hate the word ‘staff’, they were more like friends and were absolutely wonderful. There was my wife and I, our two boys (11&13) and our 7 month old black Labrador Ben. As soon as we sat down Ben was offered some dog biscuits and there were several water bowls available to him. The menu was just right and we all were able to choose something we liked and not only that, we all came away saying how much we’d enjoyed our lunch. On the way out Ben was treated to a doggy Ice cream and we were able to have a lovely chat with the owner and the lady that had been entertaining us (serving if you like) and they made what could have been a simple lunch out an experience we will never forget. To everyone at Tikka’s we say thank you and wish you all the very best! Matt, Sally, Jake, Sam and Ben.

Our large family where staying locally and sadly there was no breakfast onsite BUT luckily we found this charming cafe for our breakfast. What a warm welcome & great hospitality from the team. All our breakfast was wonderful and hit the spot. The coffee is also delicious and a warm welcome to the freeze dried rubbish in our room. The garden in the back is wonderful and full of flowers, comfortable clean seating and lovely water features. We wanted to come back the next day but out tickets for our day trip meant we would t have time. Thank you and we hope to visit again
