Tikka Indian in Carlisle

I had an hour in which to eat so wasn't interested in anywhere with a waiting list or that needed a booking, nor anywhere where the prices were upped because of posh decor and "in place" popularity - and there are a few like that in Carlisle! This looked under-appreciated and although I had only a quickly prepared basic Rogan Josh/Pilau Rice and Aloo Gobi dish, all was well cooked and well presented, no complaints anywhere and - a nice touch - the table linen was very high quality and swiftly renewed as soon as guests departed.

I have to be honest so others won't compromise there enjoyment of a meal. I waited over an hr and a half and did not receive all of my order and also was luke warm very disappointed as I kept ringing,but number wouldn't connect to see what was happening. Feel like that,was 13 pounds down the drain.

the meal was great, but i did not get the naan bread or a refund for it.

The food was absolutely tasteless, and both mains tastes exactly the same even tho one was bhuna and one was rogan josh. The sauce in the main was basically just watered down tinned tomatoes, there was more taste in the can of coke than there was anything else, the chapati was the same size as the palm of my hand and was soggy as anything, there was no taste at all no spices, i feel like weve been robbed, there was 3 pieces of chicken in my main, and to top it off there was 4 hairs in my meal!!!!! 😖😖😖 the number is not correct either so i cant phone them up, i will never order from here again!!!

The meal arrived at the expected time and was reasonably hot. However I ordered 3 Poppadoms but only received 1. The main course contained very little chicken. The only good part was the Onion Bhaji which was nice and crisp but the sauce that went with it contained far too much green dye and I had to leave it for fear of an allergic reaction.

I ordered lamb buna but recieve pieces of beef in it with hardly any lamb everything else was good food

Food excellent BUT unfortunately 2 of our Chicken Tikka Chaats were not in the delivery. Only realised when the driver left. Unable to contact them as no email address and the phone number supplied does not exist. Shame as we have used Tikka Indian on many occasions. Anyone know how to contact them apart from turning up at the place???

Food was nice, portion size was smaller than usual but when you are on a diet this is quite a good thing. The price is also cheaper than other takeaways so the portion size is proportionate to the price. All in all was a pleasant meal and would consider ordering from here again.

When I got home missing an whole Sunday Special. Told too busy with deliveries. Next time I can have a free curry, but have paid for my meal and no refund!!!!! Check your orders!!!!

Waited a while but it is New Year's Eve when arrived hot and best Indian food had in while most enjoyable will be using again 👍

Terrible! They never gave us what we ordered and the food was disgusting! We have no idea what we got but I don't recommend this place at all! Disgusting!

Great food! Delivery time was a little longer than was listed originally but it was worth the wait for the food. Would recommended to others and order again

It was around 1 hour late from the delivery time promised with no apology. Very poor

After placing our order it took about 15 minutes to arrive which we were shocked at. However expecting an £11.80 meal that was already paid for we were faced with a cash payment of £19. After having to prove ourselves with a e-receipt the delivery driver could not find the receipt for our order. We then rang the Indian to explain what the issue was and they hung up. After ringing them back all they were shouting in response to their own mistake was 'well what do you expect me to do'. This was only sorted because the driver went back to help us out. The takeaway themselves were very rude and were not willing to solve the problem. We got our food in the end, cold and without the drinks we ordered. But two hours after ordering and the amount of hassle we couldn't even be bothered with the rude responses. Won't be ordering from here again and I'll be letting everyone know. Absolutely disgusting service.

2 hours I waited for my Indian. Phone the guy 3 times, he kept saying it was on its way! By the time it came it was cold

The worse experience ever had in takeaway history ordered food one hour past so phoned. Rude man said will be five mins . Another 45 mins past still no food so phoned again and blamed me saying he is busy and what did I expect will never order again and will seek refund from just eat

over the last three week our delivery was 2 hour wait and this last one 1 hour 30 mins not acceptable

Really nice seemed to be fresh ingredients and herbs which is good pilau actually had proper fragrance hopefully it will be as good next time

something extra.didnt happen..peshwari naan was just plain and spice poppadum exchanged for plain ,put still charged 50p extra for them.very naughty.put did love Malayan chicken .had to ring because it was late. but in all would give them another chance.

1st review on here but need to leave feedback for this place. Over an 1hr 20 to arrive. Meal was delivered in a premier shopping carrier bag. Cold. No taste. Naan bread was soggy. 1st time trying here as thought we would have something different. Many more better blaces to order from. Avoid!

Meal could of been hotter. In fairness the first time I used these everything was perfect

All the sauces were very watery, salty and really not very good. The korma was disgustingly sweet. I will not be going back.

Was extremely disappointed! Ordered food at 5.05 pm, an expected delivery time of 5.50! I always give about 10 mins allowance for traffic busy periods etc. At 6.15 i rang to find out what was going on to be met with an extremely rude man who kept talking over me and rather than offering an explanation i got told repeatedly i could cancel if i wanted. My food arrived at 6.35, COLD! Wasnt even nice! Needless to say i left most if it! Definitely wont be ordering from here again, im disgusted with they're service!... Only reason they have any stars is too post a review

mine was lovely but her indoors says her prawn bhuna wasn't right and left it so I cant vouch for the prawn bhuna

Got a chicken tikka masala wrap the sauce has changed not as nice as they use to be and never had any salad in it

Best Indian takeaway in Carlisle. Only ever use Tikka Indian now. The delivery time is quite long at times but apart from that the food is amazing and nothing to complain about. Thank you!

Awaited delivery, became later and later, called takeaway for BT to tell me "this number does not accept incoming calls" can't say this is filling me with good customer service here. make your own minds up on this one. Won't be using in a rush again.

Been ordering from this takeaway a number of times now, and has always been solid and delivered nice food on time. However, the most recent time I ordered it took half an hour longer than what it said, and didn't arrive with the rice I ordered! Unfortunately I didnt realise this until he had drove away, but even so, I'm not best pleased at the moment!

Ordered from here for the first time tonight. If im honest, not a very good meal. Chicken was tough. Lamb was extra tough. Naga wasn't very hot and the chipati came tied in a little doggie bag. Rice was nice. In summary, buy your rice here and get the meat elsewhere! Sorry guys, sort your meats out !!

Terrible! Just spent nearly £17 on an awful Indian takeaway from Tikka. Ordered a 2 x Korma and both came with only 3 pieces of chicken...3!! They were small too, it wasn't as if they were large pieces which would be understandable. We ordered a portion of Onion Bhaji, one and a half sorry looking Bhaji were in the box...thats right, half a one? Wheres the other half?? Again, they were tiny! Ordered Chicken Tikka starter...wow, 4 pieces of small chicken in a box...they just looked lost! Rice was good but that's cheap, chips ok, vegetable bhaji was a gamble as we have never had it but was quite nice. Only 2 poppadoms in the bag, 1 was soggy/soft. Naan bread was nice, nothing wrong with that. To sum up...if you want meat in your curry...go elsewhere, this place is a rip off cutting corners and serving toddler size portions of chicken. I'm never hungry after an Indian Takeaway but this time I am...thats a first! Disappointing. How can I claim a refund? Shocking! Something needs to be done about this.
