Nice venue, nice food, great location, but loud, thumping house music destroyed any enjoyment.

We booked in with friends for the afternoon tea as we had read great reviews regarding it and the menu online looked amazing. When I did the booking I informed of my allergies hoping it would be taken into account to offer me some different options on deserts. I was bit disappointed to see that I was only offered salted options after having made you aware of those allergies (vanilla and elderflower so not present in all cakes) in advance and had to pay the same price as if I had everything. But all the same the food I tasted with nice as was the atmosphere and the staff was very kind and helpful.

the atmosphere of this bar was so wonderful!I want to totally recommend it. The flavor of cocktails were nice as well. Especially these bottles of cocktail were really cute and fun

Listen, it doesn't get better. Period. My wife and I came here for our 25th wedding anniversary and they were all over-and-above amazing. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant were all impeccable. The room (the Georgian Suite) was jaw dropping and well worth it. The location...perfect. Close to everything. The restaurant was superb. The food, was extremely good, VERY fresh. The service, wow. The chef knows what he is doing more than anyone in Edinburgh. The vibe is young, hip, and trendy. We ate breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner there, all were perfect. Simply perfect. Can't recommend enough.

Had a birthday dinner here and they truly looked after us. A nice cake and surprise for the birthday boy. Really a lovely experience...

I came here for a simple tea time. The bite size sandwiches and desserts were good, the tea would of been a lot better if they sugar cubes than packaged sugar tubes.

Afternoon tea was delicious and our server, Paulina, was incredibly attentive, professional, and kind.

Went here for a hen at the weekend and was really good. Not only were the staff attentive to all of us, the food was good and the venue lovely. Highly recommend.

Great facilities, very individual

Hotel very well located, dilapidated and a little dark. The windows are dirty with too many marks on the ceilings on the ventilation side. On the other hand, the bedroom + bathroom are quite spacious. Lacks a small office to work properly. Regarding the catering part, we really hated it. Difficult to choose which was worse between a nightclub atmosphere and tasteless food, devoid of flavor. It's really poor value for money.

Went for dinner on a fairly quiet Thursday night. Our meal came out fast (we had starters, mains and dessert). The bao buns were dry as were the spring rolls. The Camembert starter was very nice. For mains, I had the risotto which was lukewarm and slightly congealed so clearly had been sitting out for ages, the asparagus on top was dried out making me think it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period of time. The burger was very basic, not worth the price at all however, the description was accurate so can't complain too much. The desserts were both nice. As for service, the first girl was fine. However, the second server we had was very nice and friendly. The only complaint is we sat with our empty dessert plates for about 30mins before we finally flagged down the server. The bill also has a service charge added on that you are not told about so watch out for that. Music is very loud we could barely hear each other speak.

absolute ally we love nemo unlike the fish he was always around and not stuck in a dentist fish tank. nemo also knows how to strike a conversation! sadly i do not… i’ve been told to add actual value to this review so… i guess they make nice cocktails or something🙄. kinda wish the barstool chairs were spinny. the 5 quid drinks are such a steal even lidl would tremble at aight of the menu. we love nemo the bartender🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

We went to Tigerlily for brunch to celebrate our friend's birthday/hen. We had a number of different dietary restrictions and preferences between us but the menu catered for us all and both the food and cocktails were great. Juliana really looked after us all and made the morning special (thank you!)

We had a great experience at Tigerlilly visiting for our friends hen weekend. Whilst a bit out of town, the menu was perfect to accommodate all of our dietary requirements, cocktails were delish, and our server Paulina made us feel so welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks so much Paulina and Tigerlilly for making our hen so happy!

Good drinks, nice building, very amicable staff (especially Konnor Freelove, lovely bloke, very accommodating to my son's disability). Would go again.

We had an amazing brunch on Saturday. It was sad we had to wait 30 minutes before we could go in, but when we finally did, Paulina made sure we felt like queens in these beautiful place!! She was AMAZING!!! Thank you Paulina!!

Awful This is what cocktails look like... barmers deliberately under add alcohol, compensating for it with syrup - and even that doesn't help. I asked to call the manager - no one called him. The bartender argued with me for a long time, claiming that he didn’t see any difference. They deliberately pour alcohol into a measuring cup carelessly - you can see the result of their machinations in the photo. I went looking for a manager myself - a certain Marta came out and said, “What do you even want from me?” I ask the owner or manager to pay attention to this circus and ask the bartenders not to disgrace a respected establishment. I'm very ashamed of you!

Came in for some drinks with my girlfriend, loved the decor. Served by Konnor who helped us pick out some lovely cocktails. 10/10 will come again.

Coming from America we've never experienced an afternoon high tea, and I did a lot of research and found TigerLily and I was so happy that we did. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a lovely time and the food was excellent.

Walked past the place signs are awful the great big flowers around doorway hiding the name my sister had to come out to meet us, anyway we got there & just could,nt fault the place excellent service the wee girl attending to us was amazing always asking if we needed anything else this for me was just a wee random day with my family 7 of us & 2 babies defiantly go back very busy place, food amazing service fantastic thank you all.

Service is abysmal. Trying to do too much without focusing on doing one thing right. Food was decent, but no value for money. Wasn’t anything spectacular. Linguine had about two prawns in it. Broccoli was tough. Staff were inattentive, waiting to take orders. Staff didn’t seem to want to be there and made us feel like they didn’t want us there. Was a shame because looks really good but is a let down. There is a discretionary service charge on the bill which we didn’t realise until after which we should have removed. Waitress from bar stood over table waiting for a tip after we paid also! Good selection of drinks on the menu would be the only highlight. Avoid.

One of the best restaurants in Edinburgh that we tried! Starting with the service to the food, the experience they created was unmatched. Our hostess did an incredible job of welcoming us in and getting us set and just being very pleasant. Our waiter also did a tremendous job of giving us great recommendations and providing quick and great service. We tried the fish and chips and the chicken salad and both were delicious. We would love to visit again and try more of the menu

We are staying the night at tigerlily and had a warm welcome from a girl called amie at reception who gave us a lovely upgrade and a voucher for a few free cocktails! Very nice thank you!😊 we had some cocktails at the bar which are going down a treat! Thanks to out cocktail master Konnor, very professional and attentive. One side note would be to add a little sign or arrow pointing into the bar area/hotel reception where the laptop sits at the front door as we assumed that was where we were meant to check in. However not a big issue at all!🤍

Was here for a friends bday last weekend and it was great! Shout out to our amazing waitress Paula!! We got the fish bowl cocktails which were surprisingly strong, good value for money. Decent food and beautiful venue.

What a fantastic hotel. The decor throughout was amazing. Stayed here with a group of 10 girls. We were booked for lunch and the atmosphere was so good we found it hard to leave. Food, cocktails and food were all fantastic!! We stayed two nights and had breakfast which again was beautiful both days. Staff were super friendly and happy to help with anything at all. Will be back! 😊

Popped in for a coffee - super nice welcoming staff, helpful and sincere

Hotel was great, food tasted good,but my wife is celiac and they were told of this. When we mentioned it they investigated what could have happened made all the right noises about how they normally do things. Unfortunately she was served gluten they were very nice gave us a complimentary late checkout. Really feel they should have been a wee bit more sympathetic and at least deduct 1 of our meals as we ordered 1 gluten free which we didn't have.
