Fantastic pub. Lively, good service, great beers. Yes a little expensive but it is a pub in a major European capital city, plus you're also paying for the fun and atmosphere which is great! Well worth it! Can't wait to be back.

Lively sports bar atmosphere with plenty big screens, friendly staff but £12.70 for two small zero alcohol beers !! (£1.25 each at supermarket) Whose having the craic?

Essential pub in the heart of the city

The selection of IPAs was superb. One better than the other. They even had discounts for students. We came while a musician was playing. He was our highlight. The whole pub was singing along to his performances. Would recommend!

A lovely pub, exclusively dedicated to over 18s with live music. They have no kitchen at all, they only have drinks.

Tohm and meal veen offered lovely service as well as Corny, Enny & Lowgen providing grand patter throughout the night when less busy. Would recommend to anyone exploring Edinburghs Old Town

Popped in for late night drinks and the place was buzzing. Busy with a mixed crowd and good live music. Staff handled the crowds well and plenty seating. Great bar just off the Grassmarket.

We went one night and expected much more of a crowd. It was empty. Empty on a summer night. But we did do karaoke and had a blast. The bartender we're nice but their pour was light on the drinks. Got a cool T-shirt too

Passing with my wife in Edinburgh, discovered this very nice pub, we were able to watch the Champions League and listen to local groups while drinking a beer. We had a great time!!

As an Edinburgh local, I can confidently say this is the most expensive bar in the city, £7.30 for a pint of Holyrood is ridiculous. Had one then left, there’s still plenty other bars in the grass market and surrounding area offering far better value for money.

Finnegans the best pub, bouncers so sound. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Live music, people dancing, lots of beers, people, colored lights and festoons. All incredibly pleasant, a place that seems much smaller from the outside but is instead large and festive. I only had two beers there, but they were two very welcome beers!

I lost £60 cash in here and a woman had told me she’d seen someone pick up cash on the floor and hand in to the bar. When I asked the bar staff they had all said no money had been handed in and when asking to speak to the manager, a woman responded that she was the manager and that there’d been no money handed in. Poor show if the bar staff were lying about this and shows a lot of dishonesty.

This quickly became our favourite pub, visited 3/3 nights. The live music every night was brilliant, and we couldn’t find anywhere that matched the atmosphere!

It's a pub, they smile and serve beer, what more could you want! Large place so even when busy it is a viable option.

Rude bouncers, even worse management with unreasonable reasons, worst live music and awful drinks, would not recommend!!

Had some really good times here, live music is great and the staff are lovely but the prices are getting a bit much for me. Paid £14.40 for a pint of neck oil and a pint of innis and gunn. I couldn't believe that was the price I was shocked.

Very lively and spacious Irish pub with live sports shown across their numerous TV screens. There is also daily, live music on stage here just like you would get in Ireland, which makes it authentic. Visited here several times over a weekend, once in the evening when a musician was performing and once at lunchtime to watch the football. This is a pub to suit all tastes and occasions! ☆☆☆☆☆

Nice Irish pub, nicely located in the heart of Edinburgh City. Friendly staff and quite during the day. I'd advise booking a table in the evening as the place fills up very quickly in the evening especially when live music starts.

Typical pub with a huge bar with many types of cold beer to experiment with flavors. Very good atmosphere. A curiosity...the signs in the bathrooms were written in Gaelic. I can't rate the food as we only went for pints.

Went in for a drink with some work friends and was greeted by most unfriendly service ever . Either she had a bad day but were were a professional group of people looking for a quick drink before dinner . Will never go back . Plenty of pubs in Edinburgh to choose . Disappointing

Ein von außen unscheinbarer Pub, welcher jedoch wahre innere Werte hat. Es wird Live Sport übertragen und auf 10 bis 15 Bildschirmen dargestellt. Es laufen parallel Übertragungen (Fußball, Formel 1 usw). Vom Fass gibt es mehr als 10 Biere. Top Stimmung, volle Empfehlung.

Amazing place to drink and have fun. The drinks taste great and the music is so damn good. Only bad thing is that you Scots and irish lads can outdrink us dutch fellas to the extreme.

Finnegans staff and bouncer (Ismael) has been treating us with huge respect, easily one of the best pubs in Edinburgh, I 100% recommend to anyone who’s from here/ travelling to here. Fantastic service with good choice of beer crafts and other alcohols.

Large Irish pub with multiple screens showing several different sporting events at the same time. Live music started about 10:00pm. Good band on when we were there

As an Italian tourist I went there almost by accident and I really liked it. The beers I tasted were all good. Especially the live music was very engaging: we all danced. Many congratulations to the band and the club manager who had the good idea of ​​making live music. Great environment with people of all ages having fun and dancing. Didn't get to eat but the drinks were great. I highly recommend it as it is perhaps one of the few places in Edinburgh that keeps you entertained. If you pass through Edinburgh you have to go there at least once.

one of if not the best pubs in Edinburgh, great atmosphere with excellent priced drinks for students . The staff are amazing particularly Mark and Stuart the door staff. They are friendly to everyone who enters and have great personality’s they make the place what it is.

Great place. Band was brilliant. Music that was played by the pub was really good. Would be good if a couple of screens showed you the bands playing the music, rather than sports on all the many screens.

Nous y étions entre amis pour boire un verre après un resto. Un groupe chantait et jouait de la musique, toute génération. Belle ambiance qui nous a emmené jusque 2h du matin. A recommander entre amis autour d une bonne bière ou un cidre local.
