I come here from London because it's that good. The Monk's duck and garlic Aubergine dishes are a godsend for a vegetarian.

This place is wonderful. Food 10/10, owners and waiting staff 10/10, atmosphere also a solid 10/10. We haven’t had any issues with quality of any of the above. We have one issue, with one particular staff member: the rude person who answers the phone. She is NOT one of the owners or any relation to them. Unfortunately we think she is going to cost the restaurant significant customer loss. She was abrupt, short/sharp, impatient, kept cutting us off AND got part of the order wrong because she thought she knew best. My mum has a food intolerance to onions and there’s a dish we have that the owners know we have, and they specifically asked us to ask for it *this way*. When saying that on the phone, rude girl with major attitude problem said “we have so many customers. We can’t remember each one”. My mum said “Tina or ruby will know if you ask them, they’ve told us to ask for it this way”. So I continued to explain and she said “we either have salt and pepper or we have garlic. I’m not running around asking other staff members what you want” and I tried to continue to explain and she kept cutting us off. Now, if we hadn’t just got home from a day out and weren’t all starving, I would have hung up then and there… but we hadn’t eaten since noon and it was 7:30pm, so we were taking attitude problem over snapping back at her. We got to the restaurant and my mum asked the waitress to double check the specific dish - lo and behold, it was incorrect. To which the girl on the phones snapped “excuse me madam. I took your order and you said nothing about no onion” which we absolutely did, and told her that. The other waitress (one of many lovely staff members there) then asked why we didn’t ask for it the way we have been told to, which we said we did, but we were spoken down to and told basically we are wrong. Hopefully this person either receives some training or doesn’t work there much longer because we have been going there for many many years and this would truly be a disappointing experience for most people, ESPECIALLY if they’ve never been there before. Imagine being a first time customer there and having someone talk to you like you’re beneath them, THEN arguing with you about it in the restaurant… 🤯 this person is going to cost the restaurant some losses.

If you are not able to manage guests or be organized, don't take bookings over the phone and waste others time..

I have never used this takeaway / restaurant before-I ordered a take away from my car. I said I was 15 mins away. The food was ready on time. They threw in complimentary prawn crackers. The staff were very warm and friendly. My 92 year old father and I thoroughly enjoyed our take away- well done! A generous duck 1/4 with pancakes, Hong Kong sweet and sour chicken, mixed veg and egg fried rice- delicious-thank you!

A Wednesday evening with friends , one of whom is Malaysian, so knows about his Chinese food, and recommended the place. It didn’t disappoint- good value and subtle flavours.

Ordered a delivery for first time this evening. Wish I had read the delivery reviews beforehand . Nothing had arrived after 45mins. Phoned and the delivery driver said he had already delivered it. Owner apologised and said they would send in 15/20 mins. True to their word he arrived but banged on the door rather than ringing the bell. Meal was unremarkable. Chilli pork had 2 slices of chilli. Nothing special about the special fried rice. Is there a shortage of vegetables? You may think this is the end, but no, I then get a phone call from the driver, who has another meal to deliver. Can't get a reply from the address and has my phone number on the ticket. NEVER AGAIN. . They clearly don't have a clue what they are doing.

Very good food, very friendly. Put birthday decorations out. Was a quiet evening but that worked for us as we had a lady who is hard of hearing! Def recommend as the food is great.

Whenever I fancy a Chinese, I always get it delivered from Tiger Lily. They have a great menu, everything is cooked wonderfully and full of flavour, fresh and delivered promptly. Great service and food, good value for money.

If want a takeaway meal for 1 the House Special noodles dish lovely.

First time I've used this restaurant, found the food and the service from the staff was very good and a relaxing place to eat. Will be happy to visit again for a meal, and will be happy to try the take away side of the restaurant.

We always get our takeaway from Tiger Lily, it's consistently good taste food. They changed hands recently but it's still the same so maybe they kept the chef.

I LOVE this place. The service, impeccable. Food, so much of it and absolutely delicious. Atmosphere, so calming. I’ve been here on multiple occasions and have not once been disappointed by anything. Our most recent visit was for my boyfriends birthday. They decorated our table with confetti and banners, and made us feel so special. Honestly I could not recommend this place enough. My all time favourite Chinese food restaurant. You have to try it at least once.

First time ordering from Tiger Lilly, delivery took nearly 2 hours. When I spoke to them after an hour they said it was out with the delivery driver, 30 minutes later still nothing. I wrang again and surprise surprise they couldn't get hold of the driver. Considering we live an 8 minute drive away Ill assume it was all lies.

I never write a bad review but this is absolutely shocking went tonight for a fathers day meal had starter then waited 2 hrs for main and when I complained to Manager she just said wait I said we can't wait another half hour as son was travelling back home she then charged me £60 for starters when I said its not that much she said I was trying to rip her off so I ended up paying £45 and having no dinner and everyone was complaining in there.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour had starter and waited for 2 hours for dinner to be told wait when I said it was not acceptable then told me to wait again I said I couldn't and then tried to charge me £60 for 4 drinks and 4 starters thanks for ruining fathers day I felt sorry for the waiter as he was doing it all on his own with no help

I've been here a few times but it has not long changed hands. I only had a take away this time, but I didn't think the food was quite as good. Having said that, it was really busy and the service was still efficient and friendly. I will definitely give it another try.

Love it here. Last visited with friends early May in memory of my recently deceased husbands birthday. He loved it here also. Many, many happy memories made at Tiger Lily over the years and hopefully, many more to come. Food is always cooked fresh to order, always hot & delicious. Never had an issue in 12 years of frequenting Tiger Lily whether eating in or enjoying a takeaway. Highly recommend

My old badminton pals and I met up for the first time since shortly before the pandemic occurred. We met at Tiger Lily in Tadworth. It was my first time there. It is a small restaurant with just a handful of tables. My immediate impression on entering was that it was a welcoming, warm establishment: light at just the right level (neither too dim nor too bright) with large lit lanterns hanging from the ceiling and a pleasing decor. We all chose the "Supreme" menu (£25.30) rather than the other menu (£17.50). It certainly was supreme!! Choice of soups, a very wide selection of starters, shredded duck (or lamb) with pancakes etc and main courses. We all ate very well!! We were served efficiently and in a friendly way by two Chinese ladies. No difficulty in parking adjacent to the restaurant. The restaurant was spotless - as was the lavatory. The few tables were spaced well apart. There was a quiet and pleasing atmosphere. Quibbles: the hot tap in the lavatory had no water caming out and the hand dryer produced only mild, warmish air - very different from the ""Pratt & Whitney" dryers that try to blow and burn your fingers off!! Apart from those minor quibbles, I have nothing bu praise for Tiger Lily and would recommend it strongly to all lovers of authentic Chinese food.

Had a delivery. The food was awful and greasy., the beef in the beef rice noodles was very chewy, pork dumplings were cold, spring rolls were greasy and left a horrible taste in your mouth. Phone to complain and the manager was really rude and said there was nothing they could do. Won’t be going back

Quiet little bolt-hole for us, not fancy but cosy, family run and have busted a gut through the pandemic. Have never given 5 stars. For effort alone I would.

We had a table for 2 on a Sunday, restaurant was empty tho they seem to do a good take out trade given by how loud the lady taking the orders on the phone was talking. Sorry to say it has been a long time since I’ve had Chinese food as average as this, bland, dry, mostly looked like it was from yesterday or out of the microwave. Service was just about ok, only decent dish we had was the prawns in spring onion. Won’t be returning.

I've been a regular at tiger Lilly since 2014. The quality of the food never varies. Always high quality and never disappointing. Never wanted to try anywhere else.

I don`t live near Tiger Lily so make the journey for `occasions`, ordered a takeaway last night, the restaurant was busy as always and lots of takeaway orders being telephoned in. I didn`t check the order as I`ve never had to before but when I got home the lemon chicken wasn`t there but I did have mussels in black bean sauce! The whole order was very disappointing and I`ve never been disappointed before from Tiger Lily. The Mongolian lamb was lovely, the crab claws tasteless, we tried the soft shell crab as a treat but that was a mistake. Couldn`t even recognise them in the order, the coating was very unpleasant and the crab again tasteless. I have had this elsewhere and it`s never been like this. There was way too much fresh chili in every dish, could pick it out but did spoil each dish including the noodles. The pork and aubergine, you had to really search for the pork, the were some tiny pieces but most of the container was aubergine, sauce and other veg. The mussels, which we hadn`t ordered were ok but drowned in very strong black bean sauce. The stars of the meal were the noodles, apart from the chili the noodles were lovely, but sadly we were extremely disappointed for a `celebration` meal.

We popped in for an impromptu mid-week dinner date and were greeted by a warm welcome. The service is friendly. The food is sublime! So, so delicious. Flavours are unlike any other Chinese restaurant we’ve been to. Worthy of revisits!

Thought I would give Tiger Lily another try today after a terrible meal a few months ago, but should not have bothered. The chicken sayay had been recooked and the sticks were ice cold . The mixed Hor-doeuvres were disgusting the ribs were burnt and placed on a bed of burnt black seeweed. This the the last time I will go there

We visit this restaurant regularly and also love the take aways. We can never believe how wonderful the food is and the staff are just so lovely, polite, and give the best service you could ever imagine. Every dish is very individual and delicious and very cost effective. Tadworth is very fortunate to have such a wonderful restaurant. We would like to thank them all at Tiger Lily for giving such a wonderful service to our community. Its all outstanding! Order a takeaway - you will never want to cook again!!

We have been using Tiger Lilys for a long time , food has always been good , but this is The second time we have had a delivery, that was cold , we have told them last time , But I think it’s time , we try another Chinese take a way .

Was not happy with food,I tried last year n didn't eat it as the chicken tasted slimy but I just put it down to my taste buds last Tuesday thought I'd treat my son 2 chicken Currys again the chicken tasted slimy then the chicken balls as well slimy rang to complain n they said they boil their chicken I don't know how other Chinese cook their chicken but I've never tasted slimy chicken they replaced with roast pork curry too much salt they charge for the prawn crackers which also not good n 30 pound later I will never be ordering from tiger Lilly poor quality food expensive n that was it

We have been using this restaurant for over 12 years and previously the Royal Phoenix when they owned that. So in total over 20 years of excellent food and service. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to any dietary needs, explaining which dishes contain what if asked. We recently visited for my brothers 18 birthday and once again everything was amazing. Quick service and the food was hot and delicious. We brought our own cake, which they hid in the fridge and later brought out when asked, singing Happy Birthday along with the family. I would highly recommend to any and all to try them out. We have always brought other family members and friends here, who have always walked away wanting to come back again and again.

Amazing food and very friendly staff!

Arrived shortly before closing time, starving and in dire need of some grub! The hostess was absolutely wonderful - friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious. We were a group of 6 (many of which are hard to please food wise!!) but we all enjoyed our meals greatly. If I wasn't 3 hours away I would happily visit again.

Myself and my wife just ordered from this restaurant for the the first time. Initially, our food took nearly 90mins to arrive but we understand due to the current climate. However, after serving our portions, I noticed a huge hair in our spicy chilli beef....

I was looking for a Chinese in my area, found this place after a string of friends recommended this restaurant/takeaway during this lockdown period and decided to give it a go for a takeaway. I have to say, as a lover of Chinese food, this has got to be one of the best I have ever had. The service was great and friendly, food was impeccable (wasn't greasy and was flavourful) and reasonably priced - loved the french beans, salt and pepper prawn and chicken satay!Lovely local family restaurant and would recommend for anyone looking for a Chinese! I look forward to coming in for a meal when everything opens again!

Its a favourite for the family... great food.. very rarely something looks "tired".Service with a wonderful manner and style - really fantastic.My wife doesnt like the seaweed there as she thinks its too sweet, but the other vegetarian food options are so good its trivial.There are only 2 things I would change about Tiger Lilly;- offer a packet of prawn crackers free with every take away order over £30 (say)- modify internal layout to make it more restaurant user friendly (this is incredibly tricky i know - but that open door and walk through tables to get a takeaway must be irritating to those who are sat down)
