Tiger In in Midlothian

1st time we went excellent. 2nd time rubbish. Cheap crap gin to drink. Waited only 5 minutes for meal.... more like soup than a curry. I had one little half pepper in mines. Frozen chips with raw spring onion scattered on top. Won't be back!!!

Family meal for extended family . Service great as usual . Food fresh and nicely presented . Friendly staff - Will be back .

Food is over priced and average. The chips were awful . Best way to describe them is they have been sitting for days then microwave. They are definitely NOT fresh that's for sure . Very disappointed. Followed the reviews but won't be back .

We were in the Area for a friends wedding and got a takeaway from here to take back to our hotel. One of the nicest Chinese takeaways I've ever had! Staff were amazing and friendly, service was fast. The restaurant and takeaway area were absolutely spotless. Can't recommend enough

Takeaway wish they did more gluten free vegetarian option I wish the tofu was gluten free! Gluten free chicken available. I did have the gluten free chilli and salt chips they were clearly labelled and oh my deliciousness

Great food and very attentive staff which made us feel welcome and were very friendly. Enjoyed our evening meal and will be back soon.

We stay in Penicuik, and have been trying various Chinese restaurants in Midlothian to find a new favourite since moving out of Edinburgh. This is it The Chinese and Thai food both are great. Our favourite dishes are the chilli and salt wings, ribs and Peking sauce. Lemon chicken, Kon Siu, Kung Po – they are all excellent. Also great fried rice. I’d really highly rate this place For takeaway – the don’t deliver, and its cash only – but imo worth the trip to get it Service – they are always so nice, friendly and professional Can’t rate this place highly enough really

Have had takeout a couple of times and enjoyed it but tonight the food was terrible. Shredded chilli chicken was in soggy breadcrumbs and normally has onion and chilli...but none tonight and the sauce on the side was just thick gloop and inedible. The ribs were fat and hardly any meat and uber salty and the prawn toast were a gooey chewy ordeal. Sadly it went in the bin and we will not ho ever again

This is the first time we have been to Tiger In for takeaway and it was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be back. We had a duck curry, boiled rice, Nam Prim Pao with chicken which is a thai curry and it was very tasty and nice and spicy we also had salt and chilli chips and could not fault anything. The portions were very good too. Definitely recommend also the food retained its heat which is a plus.

Hi I like the food out of the tiger inn but every time I get fried rice it is always cold the last time I complained the guy was very good and give me £15 off my next order the next time I went it was cold again I didn’t want to complain again as they will think I am at it as I say their food is good that’s the only down fall is the fried rice the staff are very friendly and always get a good service thank you Frank
