Beautiful setting, delicious food. The desserts are my favourite by far. Such a good selection of drinks. Very good attentive service.

I went for an afternoon tea service with my friend. We were impressed by the service of Lorena, who took care of us. I ordered the gluten free options and was impressed by the quality, given some of the gluten free alternatives I've been served by other establishments! The tea couldn't have been of higher quality and provided much needed refreshment. It was close to perfection as you could get. We'll definitely be returning. Keep up the great work!

The Tea was lovely that we were served. Then the cakes and sandwiches were brought out. Initially we were un impressed by the look of the cakes on the top layer. They all looked rather dry, old and un appetising . When we started with the sandwiches we were shocked straight away as they were stale. Very Stale. They were taken away and we waited approx. 30-45 minutes to receive some new sandwiches. These were all white – no wholemeal selection. The filling was a very thin layer of egg or whatever the other filling was I was unsure. Last time we visited approximately two years ago we were very impressed. The sandwiches were cut into fingers with a thick layer of filling. Both white and Brown as a selection. The scones were lovely thankfully – but then we moved on to the top layer. I started with the pink panna cota thing – and immediately, I was disgusted at the smell of the cream – it was off. The smell was so putrid it made me nauseous. The whole experience had been a shambles. This ruined my Mum’s Birthday treat and in fact our entire day out in London. We returned home immediately after leaving as I still felt sickly from the stench of the cream, and was horrified at what I may have just digested. Embarrassing.

Enjoyed a 3 course meal which was very good, the food was tasty and superbly presented. The Staff were really lovely and on not finishing my starter I was asked if I wanted another starter, as they thought I hadnt enjoyed it. We had booked a table quite a few weeks beforehand but on arrival found that there were no tables. Despite this the staff were very considerate and apologetic and offered us a free drink on the house as we had to wait half an hour for a table. It certainly didnt spoil the evening though as we were treated so considerately over the mixup. The food is just Superb and would certainly visit again.

Visited this restaurant on Fri 29/9/17 with a Virgin experience voucher with my sons to celebrate one of their birthdays. Was not expecting a mouse to join the party. The poor waitress was so petrified but the most shocking were 1) the mouse’s apparent familiarity with the restaurant and 2) the senior staff’s complete non-concern about it! Jessica took my details and promised someone would be in contact but almost one week later - nothing!! I was asked if my sons (one of whom is 14!) & I would like to sit at the bar with complimentary drinks. Is it me or is it now acceptable to dine with rodents for company in Hilton Hotel restaurants?? How does a drink compensate?? Wish I could upload the video ...

I purchased The View from the Shard & Hilton Green Park experience as a gift for my friend's 60th birthday. We had a reservation for 8.30pm on Saturday 12th August in the Tiger Green Brasserie. We expected this to be a very busy time for the restaurant so were extremely surprised to find an almost empty restaurant with only 3 other couples eating there. The room was silent with no atmosphere whatsoever and I can only describe the room as a breakfast room rather than a restaurant and indeed we had full view of the breakfast serving area and buffet! The food was very bland and at best, passable, certainly not the gourmet dining experience we were expecting. The restaurant manager was rude and we left feeling very disappointed with the whole experience. I really can't find one nice, positive thing to say about it. In complete contrast, our visit to the Shard was fantastic. In hindsight, if we had known how bad the dining experience was going to be, we would have just booked a trip to the Shard and found somewhere ourselves to eat on Saturday night. London is abundant with great restaurants with fantastic food & good customer service, so we would have been spoiled for choice. As it is, we were left very unhappy and paid a lot of money for a very poor quality experience.

Purchased through virgin. Terms hidden or lower down are that you pay a surcharge of 3pounds per person despite having paid for a voucher - this was a surprise thing we found on arrival. Made the reservation online and made it clear we were vegetarians. On arrival given water which was nice. Given choices of tea but could see several were not available. Once the tea had arrived waited about 30min - there had been no discussion or anything during this time as to what was happening next ie. asking us about dietary requirements/allergies... then meat sandwiches came out. Then ended up waiting another 10-15min for the vegetarian to come through by that time our tea was cold. Overall the chaps were nice but the service wasn't great plus to add the surprise surcharges is ridiculous.

My wife and I visited this restaurant as a result of receiving a gift certificate from our son and daughter in law to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. We were expecting fine cuisine and probably should have checked it out on TripAdvisor before our arrival, but wanted to leave it as a nice surprise. That's our mistake! We were welcomed by the manager - Kempton, thoroughly nice chap who tried his best to keep us happy. We were immediately presented our champagne cocktail - Nice. The menu is extremely limited (see photos) and 3 of the 7 dishes on the menu were at a premium incurring an additional cost of between £2.50-£6.00 each. My wife doesn't eat beef and I don't particularly enjoy chicken. The starters was pleasant enough - we both chose the Goats Cheese with Beetroot. Then it all went downhill very quickly. My wife chose the Pan Fried Hake accompanied with Curried Lentils, Fondant Potatoes and Basil Emulsion. Fish was cooked OK but the lentils were not curried at all, almost inedible and fondant potatoes were non-existent and as was the basil emulsion! I chose the Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice and Noodles, Egg, Vegetables and Spicy Sauce. This was quite honestly from the first mouthful totally inedible! No Spicy Sauce, rice was dry and hard. Noodles were uncooked or completely over cooked- I can't make up my mind which applies as they were dry, hard and tasteless. Left the entire meal! At this stage the manager had noticed our dissatisfaction and apologised and offered replacement meals. But to be honest we had enough and refused desserts. As a matter of goodwill he provided a Gin and Tonic for myself and my wife received a glass of Prosseco. The Manager - Kempton apologised again and it was at this point he informed us that very shortly the hotel and restaurant is to be closed for refurbishment. In addition to this he informed us that he was leaving the very next day to take up a new role elsewhere and not with Hilton. I would most definitely Not Recommend this Restaurant! The worst meal we've ever had in London and would have expected much much better from a restaurant in Mayfair👎👎👎

A voucher bought through Virgin Red Letter Days from my son and wife as wedding anniversary gift. We really looked forward to it and it took us 1 1/2 hours to get there but what a disappointment. To start the ambience was very plain and boring and no atmosphere. The menus was very limited and when the food turned up it did looked well presented but the problem was there was no tast and no seasoning and tasted very dry and looked very dry as well. I don't know how much was paid for the voucher for two but I would not pay for the food if I had paid for the meal. Don't book go somewhere else.

I took my mother here as a treat on a wowcher deal (Probably where we went wrong) The starter was a very unpleasant bowl of so called soup, which looked and tasted like dishwater. It contained only one dumpling. We expected more than one dumpling (At least two) as the menu stated 'dumpling's'. We mentioned this to the waitress who said she would inform the chef. I can't really remember the main course to be honest, maybe not much to write home about? We also had to wait a while before we received our bottle of cava. I would say the dessert was the highlight of the evening. Overall, I would not have been happy had I paid full price for this meal, and would not consider returning to this restaurant.

Very professional and comforting staff. Wide range of 12 teas to choose from (you can have them all if you like). We had the chocolate afternoon tea for 2. 8 sandwiches (4 veg, 4 meat), 4 scones, 2x4 types of chocolates. Looks small but very filling. Only downside is the room is small and quiet even with people there. We had to whisper a bit to not be too loud and there is so background music. Smart casual dress code - black jeans and a collared shirt is fine for guys and similar for girls.Overall would recommend - great service.

This is a pleasant oasis just off the busy thoroughfare of Piccadilly in the Hilton Green Park Hotel. The atmosphere is one of calmness and it's a place to enjoy any meal of the day including afternoon tea. The cuisine is a mixture of styles that includes for starters Scallops & black pudding, Goat's cheese with beetroot, and Asian broth with bokchoy and spring onions. The Duck salad comprised a very tasty julienne of carrots, peppers, orange segments and shreds of duck with mixed leaves. The Smoked salmon was served with crème fraiche, mixed leaves and potato scones. Main courses included Beef fillet, Fish & chips, Chicken Szechuan with rice, noodles and vegetables, and Ravioli with peas and mint. Our choice of Fillet of hake was a good cut of the fish served with spicy curried lentils, while the Chicken fillet with pearl barley risotto and mushroom cream was a real winner. The Sticky toffee pudding was an unctuous treat and the Panacotta with coconut and mango was outstanding. All in all a very good meal..

Myself and my partner love afternoon tea and have tried quite a few around the UK. This tea was average and definitely won't make our top 10. Why? The portion sizes were very small- 4 small finger sandwiches each and no offering for more unlike other places. The scones were absolutely tiny and poorly cooked, stodgy in middle and hard on outside. Clotted cream was more like butter and jam was basic.A few nice touches in terms of being able to smell your team from a twining basket and staff were pleasant enough. We had a voucher and only told on the day that a £3 per person extra supplement was to be charged as it's the weekend. It made the tea quite poor value for money. I don't recommend unfortunately, for a great afternoon tea try elsewhere in London.

We went here for an engagement present; the gift was 3 courses and Prosecco - so I could not tell you what value it was for the money spent. We dined at about 7pm on a Friday. When you walk in you enter via the bar - it has a lovely atmosphere- very British but upmarket. Cosy with a great selection of drinks. The staff were friendly. Drinks are on the expensive side i.e £8-9 a cocktail but that's not uncommon for London and you're paying for the seclusion and it's worth it. The meal -where to begin- we thought we'd feel out of place- couldn't be more wrong- such nice staff. Food was incredible, 3 courses, prosecco each and the staff gave us champagne as it was our engagement. Lots of bread rolls to start, such a great atmosphere and surroundings. Very well looked after by staff. ( I can't remember what we ate - sorry, 2 months later review)I was really impressed by the atmosphere on a Friday night - it was busy but not crowded- light chatter not rowdy. I would recommend this as a date night drinking place for a quiet but fancy venue- Then you can check out if the food is a good price range for you on another night:)

It was my birthday and as a very special touch, Lorena, the Restaurant Manager, presented me with a slice of birthday cake with a message on and a glass of bubbly. What a lovely touch. When we arrived we took a seat at the bar and the friendly bar tender made our drinks we then took a seat by the window and without us even asking he had spoken to his colleague in the restaurant and came and told us that we were welcome to go through whenever we were ready (we were almost 45 mins early) we were starving so decided to go through. The friendly woman in the restaurant then took our coats and told us to take a seat wherever we wanted to. We then ordered our food I have a nut and a beetroot allergy I ordered the goats cheese the chef put strawberry with it instead of beetroot it was nice but feel it would have been better the original way just a shame I couldn't have it that way (nothing to do with the chef) my partner had the froi gras and said it was exceptional, our mains my partner had the fillet steak from the front of the menu, he said it was amazing, I ordered the fillet steak from the back menu that usually comes with chips I changed my chips for roast potatoes , I received a ribeye steak with hard potatoes and couldn't eat them or even bite into them. It was a real shame as I was looking forward to it but I couldn't fault the blond woman who dealt with it when I had told her she offered it to be redone I said it was fine but she apologised profoundly the desserts were amazing couldn't fault at all and they even comped our drinks and the steak to apologise I couldn't fault the staff for one bit on how they dealt with the situation

We'd booked a table through the Tastecard 50% off scheme. (Think there might just be a link there with the service we received....) When we arrived we were ignored for quite some time and once seated it took an age to get anyone to take our drink or food order. Three of our party ordered steaks and when the food eventually arrived the steak which was ordered 'rare' was actually cold and raw. The steaks were each served with FIVE chips. So of course we then had to order side-orders of their over-priced very average chips. All I can say is that the fish was very good.

Was given a voucher for champagne cocktail and 3 course dinner for two at this restaurant within the London Hilton at Park Lane. We visited on a Wednesday night at the start of the new year and the restaurant was very quiet. We were warmly greeted and seated and given our champagne cocktail while we looked at the menu. The menu had a good range to choose from and whilst there were options included within the voucher, if you want to select another choice supplements applied but were not over priced, the most expensive being £6 extra. I had the celery and something (I didn't quite catch what the something was) soup which was good but whatever the something was, it was hot enough to burn the back of my throat and that wasn't from the warmth of the soup! Food was good, the restaurant was nice but quiet as no more than six in the restaurant. Staff friendly without being intrusive. A good experience but wouldn't visit again as prefer not to eat in hotels.

We were given a Red Letter Day eperience for a 3 course meal at Tiger Green and booked to go inbetween christmas and the New Year. Arrived a little early and sat in the bar for a while with our champagne cocktail which was pleasant and, we thought, a good start to our dining experience. Once seated the waitress was polite and attentive, the resturant decor is fine but nothing special. It soon became evident that the majority of diners were also on "experience" deals of some kind but it was far from busy, maybe peaking at 24. The wine list is ok but typically expensive and to be expected for a hotel in London I suppose, our selection was an Australian Chardonay at just over £30.00. The set menu is adequate with 5 or 6 options on each section. I should say at this point that most of the food was good and the additional costs for certain items was fair. The problem was with the time we waited for every dish to arrive....bread arrived quite swiftly and our order taken and then nothing for around 35mins which wouldn't have been too bad had we not then suffered over an hour for our main courses to arrive.........a further 30 mins for the desserts, sticky pudding and cheese board so nothing too demanding for the kitchen, and to top it off, the sticky toffee was cold and thus followerd another 15 minute wait for a replacement! All the diners had the same experience as us on that evening and I have some sympathy for the waitresses who were constantly appologising and offering free drinks from the bar.I would normally check out the ratings of a restuarant before booking but, as this was a gift, I didn't have that option. If you are in London for the day or work close by, it may be worth a gamble but definitely not a special journey of 2 hours each way as we did. I accept that they may have had staff issues in the kitchen on this particular service but I can only review my experience and, with a pretty easy set menu on a quiet evening, my conclusion is Must Try Harder!

I had the chicken dumpling with bok choi. I must admit I had a cold but it could have been seasoned more, it was rather bland. My husband chose the goats cheese mousse with beet and that was delightful. We both had fish for main, my husband the salmon and I had the halibut. The salmon was cooked to perfection yet my halibut was slightly over cooked, which was a shame. We both finished with the coconut and mango panna cotta which was a wonderful taste explosion to finish the meal on.Altogether the meal/food was good, the waiting staff were lovely and attentive, however as is so often with hotel restaurants it lacked in atmosphere with awful lift Muzak playing very quietly. Despite getting off to a slow start, the experience was delightful! I brought my mum here for afternoon tea as a surprise birthday treat. I had booked this experience through Virgin experience days. When we first arrived I thought we were in for a terrible time, as the service was very slow. I initially thought it was because we were voucher customers, however, I soon realised there was only one waiter serving several tables, therefore, we were waiting for drinks for around 10 to 15 minutes. However, despite this minor hiccup at the start, the overall experience was fantastic! The food was really good, my mum was particularly impressed with the sandwiches. Our waiter (who we think was Italian) was very enthusiastic and you could tell he really enjoyed serving us, which was great! He even brought my mum a plate out with some birthday cake and a candle on! She was really surprised and pleased with that! I was pleasantly surprised as I was not expecting this, I had left a brief comment when booking that it was her birthday but did not expect them to do this, so this definitely made up for our slow start! Unfortunately our food took a good 45 minutes to come, which was odd because we seemed to be the only ones in the restaurant actually having lunch - everyone else was having afternoon tea. The bread was good, and the food tasty when it eventually came. Having said that, my colleague ordered the veal, which was meant to come with asparagus tortellini, but turned up with mashed potato and no explanation until we asked at the end of the meal. (apparently the chef had burst the pasta and panicked!) Would have liked to try dessert, but sadly didn't have time. Luckily we had a tastecard, so the food was half price, making it very reasonable. Because it was an offer I wasn't actually expecting a lot and thought it might be a boring set menu. However I was pleasantly surprised. We were warmly greeted by the Hilton hotel staff and subsequently by the restaurant staff. We were offered a choice of tables and brought our cocktail very promptly. The restaurant wasn't too busy which made it a lovely experience and we didn't feel hurried at all. The menu contained a good choice of options of all courses. We had the ham hock terrine and olive, tomato and cheese salad. They brought home made bread rolls which we delicious. For mains we had steak (cooked perfectly as requested) and chicken supreme with risotto. Desserts were cheesecake and fruit salad. All courses were lovely although the fruit salad was a bit disappointing. Overall very happy with the meal and the service and would recommend.

I had afternoon tea last week with my daughter last week as a birthday present, when we arrived we were seated promptly and waited to be served. While waiting we heard the staff moaning about a customer because she wanted a window seat and that meant moving the tables around as they were having a family coming in with babies. Wasn't nice listening to staff about customers maybe they should of kept the voices down. Once we received our afternoon tea we was really disappointed as the slices of the bread on the outside were dry and some of the chocolate cakes were shop bought. I told the waiter the bread was dry and all he said was he will tell the chef and walked away. To go to London and eat at a Hilton hotel we expected a lot better for the money. We won't be going back.

We had booked Afternoon Tea as a Five Star Experience, paid for in advance. We booked our table via the internet as advised and we received email confirmation,When we arrived we had a pleasant welcome and our booking was identified and "ticked" off their list. The service initially was very slow - we felt that perhaps as "voucher" guests we were not a priority. However the tea itself was good, with varied foods well presented. We had to ask for a second pot of tea - the original one provided two small cups each. However when we left a somewhat officious manager - who had suddenly appeared - demanded an extra £3.50 per person saying it was a supplement for visiting on a Friday! I said no one had mentioned this and on the email confirmation no mention was made of this - had it been we would have booked on another day!! Needless to say he did not have a leg to stand on - one might think it was merely a way of getting more money out of "voucher" customers. His attitude rather spoilt what had been overall a pleasant experience. We both feel however, unable to recommend this restaurant as a Tea Time destination.

Enjoyed the smoked salmon and ham hock starter that came with 3 deliciously flavoured bread rolls. Many of the main course come with a supplement. Steak meal delicious but Hake needed seasoning. Exotic fruit salad and sorbet refreshing and husband had a good choice of cheeses. Side dishes of tomato salad and frozen chips are very small and tasteless. Cheerful waiters and a busy restaurant full of people on voucher deals like us. Short walk from Green Park station.

We Dined here on a Saturday night using a Virgin experience gift we received. Having read the reviews we were unsure what to expect but we found the food, service and ambiance very good. The 3 courses were 'chefy' with plenty of Jus's and combination of food groups thrown together however what we had worked and was enjoyable. Ok so there are supplement charges on half the dishes and the drinks aren't cheap but it's Mayfair, what do you expect? Having had a Virgin dining experience elsewhere in London this was a vast improvement and the staff were attentive and friendly with no sign of snobbery at using a voucher which is how it should be.

This sounds like a great package, however, Virgin Experiences have no idea how bad the Tiger Green Brasserie at The Hilton Green Park actually is. Even before arriving the problems started, my wife and i received an anniversary gift voucher, and whilst activating it online, their were no indications as to what we were entitled to during the event. Also to mention, i had to end up phoning The Hilton Green Park personally as their own website it seemed did not have an option for redeeming Virgin Exerience vouchers. If it did, then it was very complicated to work out. We eventually got booked in for 1730 hours on Wednesday 18/05/2016.Upon arrival, the outside of The Hilton Green Park was covered with scaffolding and looked pretty run down. Upon walking inside, we immediately had noticed a smell of damp carpet or furniture. We took a seat each in the lounge and waited for the resturant to open, however their were no staff to notify us that the resturant was in fact open. We had viewed the online menu for The Tiger Green Brasserie the night previously and had written down what we would like to choose on the day. We had chosen foods of Roast Baby Chicken, Apple pie and Ice Cream, Rack of Lamb and an Eaton Mess from the online menu. At the event, we were told by staff these foods were not available for us to choose and if i did want the Rack of Lamb, i would be charged extra for it, even though the voucher entitled us to it anyway. When confronted with this problem of having barely any food available, Manager Raj Puranik rudely questioned us and asked if we were sure we looked at the right menu for the right hotel. I then sighted Manager Raj to engage with staff on the phone behind a counter and quickly rectify the mistakes by completely changing the menu whilst we were still seated, clearly to accomodate what food they were currently serving at the resturant. Manager Raj ended up letting me order a Rack of Lamb for no extra charge after some battling. Once the food arrived, firstly, it wasnt what we originally ordered, we had no choice but to settle for what was available and it was ok at best. The Rack of Lamb was good but my wife had a grilled chicken which was very poor and could be cooked at home for cheaper. Our deserts we were also looking forward to were not available on the menu, and we had to settle for a Sticky Toffee Pudding and Cheesecake. Both were mediocre. All in all, what we had at the resturant was not what we wanted and was mediocre standard. We had to argue with staff when it should have been a lovely occasion, and i felt we were treated like fools with regard to the menu discrepancy. We were excited to attend this meal being an anniversary, and it wasnt what we had expected. We also felt the food and drink we each had did not add up to the value of the voucher for the event. In our opinion, rude staff, a little bit grotty decor-wise, poorly organised and hyped up average food. I wouldnt recommend attending this venue for an event. 2/5

I must admit I was blown over by the Afternoon Tea I had there on Sunday afternoon 8/05/2016 at 3pm. It was best Afternoon Tea I have ever had. I been to many places to have afternoon Tea but this beats all of them. The sandwiches, scones, and cakes and choices of teas were perfect and I love the presentation, definitely 10 out of 10. what completed the whole service was the waiter called Robert. Robert customer service was of high standard. He was so polite, friendly, courteous and approachable. He took his time to find out whether any of us have a special diet. He gave us instructions on the tea brewing timer and went through what was on each tier of tray on the afternoon tea stand. This is the best service I've had in a long time. There is one thing I cannot bear in a meal it is food that is not hot enough. It was all cooked well but I am afraid every course was only luke warm and the trouble is that you eat it far too quickly. I am not one to complain in a restaurant during the meal, I did tell the server at the end but I am afraid I will never return. It was possibly caused by them being under staffed in the waiting department.

I thought it would be nice to try something different for Mothers Day, so I took my Mum for afternoon tea at the Hilton Green Park. When we arrived our coats were taken by a member of staff, then we were seated. The lady who served us showed us the tea selections and discussed how the timers worked, in terms of brewing the tea which depended on whether white, green or another selection was made. The sandwiches and cakes were tasty. My Mum and I enjoyed trying various tea selections. My only criticism was that I had to pay an additional surcharge for my Mum and I when we were leaving. As I'd already paid for the tea experience via a voucher deal, I was disappointed that I hadn't seen the charge stipulated in the original booking.

My husbands starter was over seasoned with citrus but was offered a replacement. He's main of cod loin was over cooked. I am writing a review in reference to the Afternoon Tea Experience my wife and I had at The Hilton at Green Park in London on 31/01/16.The hotel itself is situated in a lovely part of London in the West End in a side street off of Green Park. The tea itself is held in the Tiger Brassiere in the hotel and upon our arrival we noted that it was quite empty with 2 other group enjoying the afternoon tea. We were greeted and seated very quickly and made to feel very welcome by a very courteous member of staff. We were offered tea very quickly and the kind lady explained to us the different offerings of tea, then taking and delivering our preference. The sandwich were delivered very quickly and tasted very nice but the only downside is you do not get a lot for 2 people (4 Finger sandwich’s each) which being honest equates to 4 slices of bread being used but you are offered enough tea to test your bladder for the rest of the day.The Scones and Savouries on offer tasted nice but not a lot on offer. My wife and I (not big eaters) went away feeling still peckish asking the question…. Are we greedy expecting more food? Did we believe it represented good value for money?……….Conclusion ………NO

This is the main restaurant in the Hilton Hotel Green Park. When I stayed here a few years ago, I remember the breakfast was nothing short of excellent. So, when I saw a deal at Tiger Green, the first thing I did was to check it out on TripAdvisor, where I found it was well reviewed. So, I went for it.The restaurant was about half full when we arrived and never really got any busier that that. It was nicely set out and you could see through the window all the illuminated Christmas Trees at another hotel opposite. Very nice.Even though we were on the voucher deal, we were still able to choose from the main a la carte menu. Some of the pricier dishes had a supplement but that was only £1.50 to £4 maximum. For starters I had the soup and my partner had the Green Tea and Lemon Grass Smoked Salmon - both were excellent and neither attracted a surcharge. For the main course, I had the T-Bone steak (£4 extra) and my partner had the Pan Fried Hake. Both were excellent. For dessert, there was Exotic Fruit Salad and Greek Yoghurt Mousse. All in all, we had a fantastic meal which also included Champagne Cocktails. I guess we had about £100 worth of food and drink for exactly 50% of that. Remarkable value and it's probably restored my faith in those online voucher offers.
