Nice meal with excellent drinks too. We stayed in the St James Ct. which is attached to this restaurant. Decided to try it for dinner. Very nice meal and service was excellent.

Business dinner at the Bank, nice separate room, great atmosphere and lovely company. Starters were great , specially the buffalo ricotta with red beet and salad, a true delicacy. Risotto with mushrooms was truly below average. The choice of mushrooms completely wrong, including Chinese mushrooms which are not made to amalgamate with risotto. It lacked taste and and guess also the choice of wine used to give flavor to the rice was the wrong one. Meat quite dry and poorly presented. Funny enough, fries were exceptional, not oily and balanced in taste. Dessert was traditional, creme brûlé, and good. Don’t know about the price as I was guest.

The quality of food and service is excellent in the Bank Restaurant and Bar. Staff are exceptionally friendly and always very welcoming.

Booked a table of four for New Years Eve before popping down the road to watch Madness at Westminster Hall.Bar was very quiet when we arrived (only two other people) and very quiet when we left (two other people - different two!) but the restaurant at the back of the establishment was quite full - very nice room overlooking the courtyard.Food was great (I had steak) , service impeccable and wine terrific.A cracking way to start off what was a really enjoyable New Yeas Eve night.

Este año organicé la fiesta navideña y reservé el banco.Normalmente no escribo críticas pero sentí que realmente tenía que hacerlo en esta ocasión.El servicio fue absolutamente excelente. Sin errores ni reparos a pesar de que hay 50 de nosotros. Todo estaba listo y preparado hasta nuestras etiquetas de nombre y el pedido de cada individuo. Teníamos una habitación privada con todas las instalaciones que necesitábamos, incluido un sistema de megafonía que marcó la diferencia. La decoración era muy agradable, la música y las decoraciones no eran dominantes en absoluto y lo más importante es que la comida era absolutamente de primera categoría.Mención especial a Aimee que se encargó de la reserva por nosotros. Ella fue de gran ayuda, respondió rápidamente a los correos electrónicos y ayudó a resolver todas nuestras necesidades y cambios al azar en el último minuto sin ningún problema.El evento fue un éxito total y todos quedaron encantados. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente para su próximo evento de equipo.

Friends in the know, booked Bank for our dinner. After cocktails in the beautiful bar, yes it is a very long bar, we were seated at our table which had fantastic views of the hotel courtyard. We had excellent rubs that fell off the bone and steak. The food was delicious and the service was very good. Bank is a classy place and one to visit again.

Cena en el banco con mi amada. No, no el gato sino mi esposa. Quería celebrar el comienzo del nuevo año académico y reservé el Bank Restaurant Westminster para una cena de lujo. Nuestro viaje coincidió con una huelga de SouthWest Trains, así que tomamos el automóvil con la esperanza de encontrar un espacio de estacionamiento en la calle. No podía creer nuestra suerte cuando un automóvil salió de un estacionamiento principal justo afuera de la entrada del restaurante. Nuestra buena fortuna continuó con que nos ofrecieran una bebida antes de sentarse a nuestra mesa. ? Cuando nos trasladaron a la mesa, nos ofrecieron tentadoramente un menú fijo de comidas solo para que nos dijeran que era después de las 6 pm, así que no podíamos tener los menús después de todo. No importaba y pedimos el menú a la carta. Tuve ensalada de pato crujiente seguido de brocheta de cordero y arroz. Terminé con la tarta de queso. Mi esposa tenía la sopa de verduras, el pincho de pollo y el helado. La comida era deliciosa, como de costumbre, y el entorno era perfecto. El personal fue atento pero discreto. El costo de la comida fue de 45 cada uno incluye vino y el costo del servicio. Tuvimos una noche maravillosa y realmente disfrutamos de la comida.

El restaurante ha tenido una renovación desde nuestra última visita. Con sillas azules Tiffany y lino blanco se ve hermosa.Todo fue de primera clase. No había una sola cosa que pudiera culpar a nuestra visita.Hemos comido aquí varias veces en el pasado, pero esta comida fue perfecta. Ambos acordamos que no había nada de lo que culpar.El servicio fue muy bueno y un gran bien hecho para el chef.

Mi esposa y yo tuvimos una gran comida @ Banco. Estaba a la vuelta de la esquina de la calle de nuestro hotel. Ermin. Tuve el filete de Rangers Valley (Med) estaba preparado perfecto y el sabor era perfecto, mi esposa tenía la ternera Bourguignon y le encantó. Fue muy tierno y tenía mucho sabor. El ambiente era agradable sentarse al lado de la calle. Patio de James Court.

Very poor food and service. It is part of a rip off culture preying on tourists and people from out of town. No one would go back.

The menu of wines, whiskeys and tequilas is wonderful and the food excellent. The service was mostly good and the wait staff was very pleasant. The only thing that marred the meal was the long wait for the food, both starters and entrees.

Had private dining here and arrived to not much of a greeting, bar service was terribly slow to the point of feeling ignored. Private dining was a similar experience, staff all very pleasant but something clearly went wrong on the night!

We went to the bar because it was next door to our hotel. We loved it so much we went 3 more times. Jacomo made it all worth it. I hanks for a great London experience

What a superb experience, and a beautiful location. Inconspicuous from the outside but once inside, a wonderful conservatory gives diners a view over the majestic courtyard which could be a world away from the hustle and bustle of the busy London streets. We were greeted, served and fully attended to amazingly, by all the staff and the food was exceptional, with a menu that has something to suit all. Beautiful decor, with plush leather dining chairs in Tiffany blue and white linen table cloths, gives a feeling that the bill is going to be much more expensive than it is. One of our party commented that this was the best Christmas dinner (apart from his wife's ;-) ) that he had ever had, and the turkey slice he was presented with was certainly huge by usual standards. As I said in the title of this review, if you haven't been already, you're missing out, and I can't believe it wasn't even busy. I'm loathed to leave this review as I really want to keep this little gem for myself but I need to give this wonderful restaurant and staff the credit that is due. If you want to impress but still keep an eye on the purse/ wallet, this place is definitely for you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It's been a couple of years since we had lunch here. It used to be jammed with people but it was oddly empty today. It's looking a bit tired around the edges. Chairs are all worn at the edges. Staff are great.

Llegamos aquí a las 5:30 PM en un jueves por la noche después de llegar de los Estados Unidos esa mañana. Bienvenida (con reservas) la luminosa ventana conservatorio arbolada con vistas al patio. Disfrutamos de una botella de vino y pudimos pedir 1 platos y 2 campo de especial antes de la 6 pm. Nosotros, añadió el bistec flanquean una orden de lado de aros de cebolla y compartido helado para el postre. La comida era muy buena y abundante. Justo lo que necesitábamos para ayudarnos a ajustar el cambio de hora. Por el momento que nos fuimos a las 8 de la noche, la habitación estaba llena de parejas, viajeros de negocios, un grupo grande de amigos, etc.

Always pop in here when i stay in London. Great service, food quality and selection of drinks! ABsolutely love the chocolate fondant dessert - the main reason for my visit each time!

Nos alojamos en el Taj St James Court unos cócteles antes de la cena, que era encantador y fue un happy hour... incluso mejor. El personal es un gran ambiente. La comida era deliciosa, de buena calidad y bien servido. Recomendado para una cena romántica para 2.

We arrived and went to the bar first. It was quite busy but we managed to find somewhere to sit. We ordered cocktails. They had a good selection of cocktails on the menu. After a couple of drinks we were shown to our table. The waiter was pleasant and friendly. The drinks waitress seemed slightly miserable and kept trying to take our drinks away when we hadn't finished them. The bread was fine but there was no balsamic vinegar to go with the olive oil. We skipped starters and went straight for mains. When ordering his steak my partner asked if he couple swap the chips for mashed potato. The waiter replied saying he couldn't do that and that was something they didn't do there. This seemed ridiculous. Mash potato is on the menu as a separate side so why could this simple swap not be done? For a restaurant of this standard I am afraid we were all very disappointed. Luckily one of our friends ordered a side of mash potato to save the day. But we still had to pay for the chips that my partner didn't actually want. Mains were fine. The lamb was tender and cooked well. The mash and veg were good too. My partners steak had a good flavour and didn't taste too chemical. The sauce and mash were also good. We ordered dessert. I had the raspberry Bakewell tart which was beautiful. My partner ordered the sticky toffee pudding which he couldn't finish as he was so full. We then went back through to the bar to have another drink before calling it a night. A pleasant evening was had by all. The restaurant is nothing special but I would say better than most hotel restaurants we've eaten in in London. Only because our friends were staying there did we eat there. It wouldn't have been our first choice.

Siamo andati ieri sera a cena x caso xche vicino al nostro hotel la locazione stupenda e' la vecchia banca d'Irlanda ,atmosfera particolare ,non tranquilla ma abbiamo mangiato una crudite'di pesce ECCEZIONALE x 2 a 45€ e poi ci siamo fatti 2 piatti di ostriche e cozze stupendi da provare

This was a pleasant surprise as we had a large dinner party , sometimes a challenge for party of 55. Not only was the dinner excellent , it was the team of Petra , Adriana, Stefano and the front host Claudia that made in top shelf. Great time and great place to entertain. I've reviewed this restaurant before about a year ago but I recently went again for a business lunch. It was equally good... immediately upon seating you get some lovely home-baked bread with olive oil which is a nice touch. The menu is very varied if a bit on the pricey side. It's relatively quiet sound-wise which is good if you need to discuss business. I can highly recommend it.

The restaurant is located in the Taj Hotel and really is superb. Opens up into a conservatory that overlooks the Hotel courtyard. Food and service are excellent. Lots of choice on the menu and great wine list

We had a good evening meal at Bank. Three of us had steaks and one of us had the sea bass. The potato chips (French Fries) were especially good. We also like the apple and almond tart.

Insalata di soia anatra coriandolo sesamo e crescione, petto di pollo alla griglia e cheasekake ai frutti di bosco tutto assolutamente nella media, senza infamia e senza lode. Servizio veloce ed efficiente, location molto bella.

Had a superb meal in Bank restaurant and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend the scallops and steak! Wine list was extensive and reasonably priced!A great spot in St James

Superb setting, friendly staff and good varied lunch menu. Reasonable prices for lunch in central London three courses for less than £35 has to be good

A beautiful setting, but unfortunately not accompanied with the level of culinary excellence we expected. Granted that we were a relatively big group (7 people), the service was slow and the food was mediocre at best. The appetizers took a long time to arrive. The calamari was well seasoned, but overcooked and tough. The shrimp were overwhelmed by batter...definitely not a delicate tempura batter, rather it was think and gummy in consistency.The meals were more of a disappointment. At least two of us had to send the meal back because they were cold. They returned rather quickly and I was shocked that instead of receiving a new dish, my risotto was simply reheated (slightly). Same situation for a colleague's steak. Really. I won't be going back.

We dined at the Bank Restaurant at the suggestion of our concierge.We should have realised at the outset that we were in for a less than adequate meal as we had to ask three times for the drinks order to be taken.The drink order was wrong when it was delivered with the beers missed.We ordered after some time (again after asking twice) and again we were delivered two incorrect meals.I am all for the use of people from non- English speaking countries but in London I would have thought that wait staff could understand English, albeit Aussie English.The Chateaubriand share meal was cold and was overcooked resembling more a slab of overcooked rump and was virtually tastelessSeriously folks this restaurant portrays itself as a high end restaurant however on the night that we were there it could not be any further from the truth.McDonald's meat in hamburgers tasted better than the Chateaubriand and the meal that we had in the local pub around the corner tasted better, took and delivered the correct drinks order and had better wait staff.

This place has a real business-lunch feel to it - which was exactly what we went for so perfect. They were accommodating with the table as we were first seated in the hot sunshine by the window (no air-con) but asked if we would like to sit in the shade - which we would. The food choice is varied and good and we all had different salad choices, which were good and plentiful if a bit expensive (£16.50 for a salmon, quinoa and other super foods ingredients salad).

This restaurant was selected because it was close to the hotel I was staying. Great steaks and great courtyard setting/view.Deserts were also very good and everyone said the capachino was the best they have ever had. Very nice London restaurant w/o super high London prices.

Considering location in SW1, nicely set out tables and polite staff etc. Was disappointed that different wine to one ordered was served with no explanation. Can understand why English cooking not considered 'cuisine' by the meal as the scallops were charred not singed. The hash brown was more of a greasy bubble n squeak without the squeak. Likewise the whitebait was soaked in greasy oil which repeated on one for some time after. A God fillet was spoiled by being served in lashings of peppercorn sauce. Could not believe anyone could do such a thing to such expensive steak. The view was the most enjoyable part of this meal.

We came to London from Paris just for a day , so we figured we would eat at any place on our way. This hit the spot. The place is spacious, drinks were good, French onion soup and fish and chips very delicious . Probably wouldn't go out of my way for it but if you are in the area def worth it. Good service as well.

The staff seemed to enjoy looking after you and your wishes.the food was fantastic a must to see and enjoy

Très bel endroit, ambiance feutrée, un personnel disponible, des cocktails originaux, voilà les ingrédients indispensables pour passer une bonne soirée, et bien tout cela se trouvent dans le bar "BANK", on nous a précisé que ce bar avait détenu pendant plusieurs années le record de longueur pour un bar, c'est très impressionnant, et en plus il y a de la bonne musique.

We tried this spot out at the recommendation of our hotel's concierge, and he was right on. We were seated in a little atrium area toward the back of the restaurant, and the openness almost made it seem like we were dining outdoors. We shared the Chateaubriand, and it was absolutely glorious. Served with mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted garlic and two sides (chips and something else), it was more than enough for both of us! The steak was perfectly cooked, and clearly rested adequately before it was sliced, resulting in a melt-in-your-mouth delicious dinner. We also had dessert, the Knickerbockerglory -- which is a wonderful sundae created with various ice creams (all made in house). My only complaint is that service here was slow. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed the entire time, and clearly wasn't sure how to handle the three tables she had. She tried very hard, but just couldn't seem to keep up.

we go to the bank on our walk about for drinks,did not eat but lots of people eating,the beers and wines are good and the staff friendly its clean, it gets a nice crowd ,also music friday nights,well worth a visit,will be back.

My husband and I and a friend of ours who lives in London were at Bank for dinner last week. The setting is lovely. The olives at the bar were gray and tasteless. The Basset salad was excellent, but when we asked the waiter to divide it, he did so hesitantly, and explained he had not divided a salad in a long time. The steak tartare and lamb chops were good. The end of the meal was the disappointment. The cheese was cold and the Eton Trifle had what seemed like store bought, and definitely not crumbled, meringues. Then our waiter spilled just a few drops of milk from the coffee on our guest. He was the one who noticed it, cleaned it up and apologized. However, for a place with pretense, it should have presented as less self important.

I went for a Sunday lunch with a girlfriend and was pleasantly surprised by the range on the set menu with traditional roasts as well as pork belly and fish options. I had smoked salmon roast beef dinner that turned out to be a tender cut of beef cooked to your preferences. My find had an Italian style tomato bruschetta starter and roast chicken. All the food was cooked with care and it was a nice ambiance. No music required as there was enough atmosphere with a low level of chit chat. Waiting staff were excellent and served the food at the right pace. There's a safe list of wines but all reasonable prices from £17.In Bexleyheath alot of restaurants tend to go for the loud 20 somethings crowd but this offers a nice level of sophistication and simplicity and quality. I also got the impression they want to keep improving. I'd like to go back to try the ala carte menu. Excellent value great place for family get together and friends alike.

Very good British fare and good service which is somewhat rare in these type of restaurants. We had well prepared sea bass and branzino. I was not expecting anything special from a restaurant that markets itself as having the longest bar in London but it was a nice experience. Bit pricey but I will go back.

Very disappointed. This restaurant used to be so good. But our last three visits have left us wishing we had gone somewhere else. Quality of food and the fact it was cold didn't reflect the price you pay. Service was terrible. One waitress to serve whole restaurant. !!! We couldn't wait to get out and that's exactly what we did. Why would I want to return ?? Sorry , not good.

The food was excellent, but we tried about 5-4 wines and didn't like any of them. Settled on one that was adequate but had more champagne instead. HUGE kudos to our waiter who so patiently let us try the wines before we decided on one.

On weekdays this trendy restaurant is very busy, but on this Saturday evening is was not as liverly as usual. Service was a bit cool but efficient. The food and the wine were good but pricy. Great location and spectacular dining room.

To be honest lots of cocktails on the bill from a spell in the Zander bar before eating. Food was very good. Waiter attentive but the place was quiet that night. We liked the location.

Standard upmarket fayre. Nicely done but uninspiring. Large and bustling atmosphere.

Cool ambiance, nice drinks, Ok food and bad service. All around, better for drinks than meals. The crowd can be quite pleasant there.
