Had a lovely lunch here recently. The food was fresh , looked very appetising and tasted good. The service was second to none , and were friendly and accommodating . I would definitely recommend .ps if you love cakes as I do you will be spoiled for choice !!!!

First and last visit I’m afraid … whilst the food was ok ( cheese and ham toastie and Stilton scone ) the general hygiene of the place leaves a lot to be desired …. Court yard brollies covered in mildew… tea pot cracked and dirty mugs … sugar sachet holding pots not been cleaned for months …. Toilets dirty. … having said this the staff were very friendly

This is hands down the best place for coffee and cake in melford. Excellent staff that are incredibly friendly. Ect. Just go if you're in town its a no-brainer

I bought the sausage roll and q spiced maple latte. ABSOLUTELY DIVINE. they asked me to let me know the verdict. I had cinnamon on the top and it was to die for. My next shift I will be getting another latte definitely! Sausage roll was flaky, quite big. Similar to the homemade ones my mother makes. This place tastes like home, with workers who are diligent and kind. Kudos to those that work there. Keep up the good work.

I had a lovely pot of tea and tea cup the gluten free cakes are different eg pear and almond, lemon curd Victoria sponge, thanks for a friendly experience

Won’t be revisiting shame because the cakes looked good. Unfortunately they were dry and we couldn’t finish them. Wasted money.

Just spent a very pleasant lunchtime in the welcoming courtyard garden . Brilliant service with a smile and the most delicious Sourdough cheese and onion toastie.

We were very pleased with this place. Stopped on our way back home. Fresh and very tasty cakes! Great coffee and very very friendly staff. We took some of food with us to treat our friend too so they now where to get good coffee and fresh cakes from. Thank You. We will be going back for sure.

A friendly café with delicious freshly made cakes baked on the premises. A couple of tables outside, ideal for those with four legged friends.

I’ve made Tiffins my destination if I’m going any where near Long Melford. She does great cakes and excellent toasted sandwiches. Her fillings are top notch. She and her staff are lovely. And I’ve never been cold 🥰

Popped in before going on to Melford Hall. We had sandwiches which were made with good, fresh ingredients. Tea and coffee were nice too. Definitely recommend.

We made a trip specifically to Tiffins Tea & Coffee House after it being recommended to us by many friends, and so glad we did! The most delicious array of cakes, we had yummy Victoria sponge cake, coconut cake and a donut. 10/10 would recommend yummy! 😋

Had planned on going to the Long Melford Tea Room but it was shut for staff holidays. What a pity… On entering we were brusquely told that dogs only allowed outside. OK not a problem. When asked could we have a menu please we’re told...

Visited with my husband enroute to Lavenham. Lovely little coffee shop, excellent coffee. A fantastic selection of savoury and sweet treats available, the main issue was choosing as they all looked so tempting!

Came on a Saturday sat in a very peaceful courtyard they gave a lovely selection of savoury food and very yummy selection of cakes would definitely come back here, the hardest bit is finding a car space to park your car

OMG! The best cakes ever! We just couldn’t decide - Percy Pig Blondies, Biscoff Blondies, traditional fudge cake and lots more. The smoothies were also delicious. Worth making a detour for.

The café is very small with a small front room, one very warm back room and an upstairs eating area which was a bit characterless. The tea was loose leaf and served in a pot and the cakes were lovely.

On holiday we went to Long Melford for the day. The pubs in the area only did Sunday roasts which we didn't want. Saw this place open and we went in. What a lucky find. Bacon and Brie rolls with a pot of tea for two. Delicious.

After a meal out with a friend we stumbled upon this little gem of a wine bar. Been done up beautifully with a fabulous atmosphere. The waiter went beyond to make us comfortable and the owner just added to it with welcoming chit chat and a very easy going manner. We were only having after dinner coffee but ended up having desert too which was the best decision of the night... stunning! Totally recommend you pop in for a cheeky cheese board and a large glass of wine. Amazing.

Sunday, heading back from Harwich on 100 mile loop, I decided to ignore stops in Bures and Great Henny and cycle through to Tiffins as always been a great food stop on previous visits. A solid three hour stretch and I arrived just at closing time – however I wasn't disappointed as the owner went out of his way to provide me with hot sausage roll, red onion chutney, lemon drizzle cake and soft drink and a cookie for later. All of which was delicious!

We went for a walk in Medford country park and came here for feeding and watering. Wide range of cakes, we had cream tea. The owner came out into the garden to see how we and if we enjoyed the food and drink, we really enjoyed our visit. :-)

we had an order issue where it got lost and a gentle word was instantly rewarded without asking an upgrade on the coffee ordered. We sat outside in the small rear courtyard but room inside if it rains but not a lot. Lots of nearby competition but would go back

We popped in for a late breakfast / early elevenses, whilst walking through the village.

Came for lunch. They don’t do sandwiches! What they did have was a great selection of interesting panini, ciabattas and bagels alongside sausage rolls and pasties. They looked great. We had a pastrami bagel and a mozzarella, pesto and tomato panini. Then we had cake. WOW! Coffee cake Fabian’s an amazing vanilla and peach confection. Apparently baked fresh every morning and we could taste that! Good coffee and the place had a licence so wines etc. available. May go back for the gin events every Friday and Saturday evening. Very friendly staff. Lots of places to sit, including a secluded back garden. Great find!

Went to Tiffins new wine bar on the first night. Lovely staff, well thought-out wine and drinks list and generous cheese and charcuterie boards. Sitting in the last rays of sun in the courtyard, we could easily have been abroad. Several people asked for pudding and were provided with cake and brownie, gratis, although no puddings were on the menu. You deserve to make a go off things. We will be back!

Removed table service, which is disappointing when out with friends. Limited to what is in counter, and no longer any hot breakfasts served. Great cakes but won’t be a regular venue for Saturday catch ups.

Visited for lunch and was very disappointed. We were instructed to find a table and then come back to order our food and drinks at the counter. Having found a table upstairs we then had to go back downstairs to order and pay for food, for the price you are charging a little service would be nice.

We visit Tiffins most Sundays as such a welcoming place with great coffee, amazing home made cakes and ambient atmosphere.

Very pleasant tearoom with friendly, helpful staff. Dog friendly. We had Brie and onion jam toasties which were stuffed with filling and had side salad. Tasty and good value. Superb cake.

Such a shame that it was the 3rd time we have been in the 6 months and received a really unwelcoming reception. The cakes are always wonderful but the past few times we have been it has made us feel like they didn’t want us in there- they even suggested we had takeaway as there wasn’t tables available even though there were at least 3 tables free. Such a shame as we used to adore tiffins and like to keep trying to support but now starting to think about it...

A bewilderingly good selection of cake and the best coffee I have had in a long time. We sat out in some unexpected February sunshine with the most enormous slabs of cake - what’s not to like!

We were a party of four adults, a 3 year old and a 10 month old in a buggy. We were told no high chair available and then in the next breath told the buggy had to be left outside as it’s a fire hazard. We were however in the ‘front room’ and had the buggy in an alcove out of the way. Nonetheless we complied and put it in the courtyard out the back. The mother of the child was however very embarrassed at being singled out, staff were quite brash and made us feel unwelcome. We didn’t mind being asked to move it, it was the way they spoke to us. The buggy was going to be used in the absence of a high chair but miraculously thry then found a highchair-type contraption that attached to the end of the table. All sorted. The choice of sandwiches was disappointing. Cake was lovely but as I queued to order it one of the waitresses said to another customer right in front of me that ‘the table in the front room are just leaving so there’ll be somewhere to sit in a moment’. Except we weren’t about to leave, we were ordering cake. When I was served she asked if I wanted it as takeaway! Clearly they wanted us out. It’s such a shame as this place used to be lovely but I fear they only welcome a certain type of clientele. Please note the children were very well behaved and were not at all noisy.

My family and I have visited this tearoom on several occasions over the last few years and had a very pleasant experience.

The cake selection can't be faulted, over 20 cakes and 25% of them gf. Liked the layout, with separate rooms on all floors of the house. Large slices of rhubarb cake and pear & almond cake were delicious (and gf) .... looking forward to my next visit to Suffolk so I can return and sample some more!

We popped in to Tiffins for lunch before our Halloweenies afternoon at Kentwell Hall. Our ages ranged from 1 and a bit to nearer 60 and we were made very welcome. There was plenty of choice of sandwiches, paninis etc for both meat lovers and vegetarians alike: the bread was generously thickly cut and very fresh and the fillings were plentiful. Coffee was good and although only one of us managed cake they looked lovely: gluten free options were available. Service was friendly and timely. We weren't rushed and will definitely eat here again.

Having always loved coming here for afternoon tea, when we tried to book this time for 5 of us, we were told they no longer take bookings and no longer do afternoon tea. (Has it been taken over as well as modernized?). We arrived early at 12.00 so we could get a table but on looking at what was available, they had only 1 gluten free panini (two of us are coeliac) and couldn't make any more apparently. They said we've got gluten free cake - well, as it was lunch time, we wanted a sandwich and then our cake - not just cake! Really disappointed and ended up leaving and walking up the road to a tearoom who did have gluten free sandwiches.

Visited with friends and the food is as amazing as ever however being told to move on because they had people waiting for the table was a real downside, it was really uncomfortable, what a shame it tainted our experience.

As two friends looking for a place to stop for coffee, we were delighted with our choice at Tiffins. A great selection was available in the cake cabinet, and we appreciated the excellent coffee. The pleasant ambience made the experience all the more enjoyable, as did the pleasant nature of the lady who served us on arrival.

I enjoyed the beef pasty and coffee cake and coffee. The staff were very friendly and the decor was very stylish.

We have just had a lovely afternoon in Melford and used a Groupon voucher to have a savoury/sweet afternoon tea at Tiffin’s.

I have been to tiff ins on a few occasions now as I am very happy with not only their food but their hospitality and was happy to go back and see the changes. Must admit I loved the old world quaint look as I am elderly myself !!! But they have really made the place look lovely now. Very modern and are doing different selections of food. All looking very nice. I m not into fancy fillings and just had a pasty and a nice cake and cup of tea. But it was just as nice as before. Lovely young lad served me. Very polite. Have been to many tea rooms inmy 60 something years and have to say these people run it like it should be. Good service nice food. And a warm welcome. And now looking even better.

lovely atmosphere the staff were very pleasant. We sat in the walled garden which was delightful. It was the best cheese scone I have tasted which included cream cheese and onion relish, the scone was warm. YUMMY

Visited to see the transformation and was so impressed. We loved the old theme but this transformation has lifted this lovely coffee house into a different league! So trendy!

Only stopped by for a tea and ended up ordering a cake and chocolate brownie cake shake - thats right, a shake that is topped with an amazing brownie. This is the only place in Melford serving these amazing delicacies.
