Tiffin & Thali in Aylesbury Vale

Went with my husband was seated quick enough. Ordered gol gappe for a starter which just came with four on the plate and tasted good. Mains came practically soon after. Ordered one thali and one tiffin dish (the menu overall is very limiting). The chicken tiffin was okay rice was stale in both dishes, not spicy what so ever. My husband ordered the thali dish and found the saag to be cold. The food was overall rather bland, I had asked for my dish to be made spicy and was told to put in what ever was on the table in a jar into my dish. Very very disappointing trip and over priced. Would not recommend at all.

Excellent lamb curry, well cooked rice, perfect naan, and delicious vegetable side dishes: dall, saag and curry. Highly recommended- amongst the best Indian food I’ve eaten.

A wonderful welcome from very friendly staff. Interior is fresh and pleasant (although the bathroom mirrors needed a good clean). Drinks order taken quickly. The food concept is a really good idea, but was overall underwhelming and of little flavour. The actual thali (lamb) was tasty and tender and the small pickle good, but the other dishes bland. Be aware if you have food allergies, as when asked repeatedly what was in one of the dishes, the waitress did not know and said 'oh, you'll be fine'. Ordered the masala fries as a side and they were horrid. A little over priced for what it was. Such a shame as it could be really good. If you're expecting a standard curry with popadoms, this is not the place for you.

Good food, nice surroundings and great service. If I was being really critical the food could have been warmer, but that is being quite picky! We ordered a Thali each which was a perfect amount for us as an evening meal.

Had the Lamb Thali. Really liked the assortment of dishes provided. The lamb was excellent. The service was friendly and good.
