I came here on a whim because I like the decor/architecture. Had a warm greeting from the man I assumed was the chef. I really liked the whole vibe of the place. The food selection was just as good. There are dishes for all diets. I had the mix of 3. Amazing food. Everything was going well.. The door to the place was open which I didn’t mind, however, I was seated right next to it, the customers she was asking were further inside. The lady who was taking orders was making sure all the other customers were comfortable, but did not think I deserved the same treatment. I heard her ask: ‘Would you like me to close the door for the draft?’ The customers said yes, and so she closed the door for them. As she was doing so, she looked at me blankly and there was an awkward silence, she walked away. I did not let it taint the experience and continued my food. I finished and went to compliment the chef but only the lady was there. I really liked the music playing, it was of a Tibetan theme, (nice strings etc.) and being a music enthusiast, I asked if possible, could she point me in the right direction playlist wise. The lady gave me a cold, flat, ‘it’s Tibetan music.’ Which I would have thought was obvious given the name of the business. I thought: Wow. Do not worry, I am on my way ma’am.😂 Otherwise the place was amazing. If I ever go again, I will probably not eat in, as the welcome was not universal. I am hoping it was not political, (being of African descent) as I had never met this woman in my life, and the unwelcoming energy was blatant. If there was not such a polarizing difference in service to me and the other group I would not have felt so singled out. It is a shame as I think the partner/chef is a good person.

Gutted. I ordered a takeout, which they put into a paper bag. It subsequently split and oil ran out of the containers and stained my new coat on my walk home. Really not happy. Please use a bag that works. There's no point caring about the environment and trying to save plastic, if at the end of the day, the bag does not serve its function (to carry food home without splitting and making a mess). The food is pretty good however and I will likely return, but please change your bags (that don't work).

Extremely satisfied with this place! Family-run business, so you know they really take care of the place and the quality of their food. I got the option that lets you try 3 dishes in one meal, as well as their beef and vegetable momos. I highly recommend the broccoli stir fry! Serving was generous and I had to take home some of the food I wasn't able to finish. Not disappointed at all and would definitely go back if I get a chance.

Tibetan Kitchen is a rare gem. The food is always excellent, the staff are super friendly and they serve generous portions. It is easily our favourite food for take-away and one of the first restaurants I think of taking family or friends to when they visit Chorlton.

I couldn't recommend this place more. I went in late this evening for some food which was absolutely excellent and very reasonably priced. I would like to highlight what an amazing server they had, the lady serving the food was smiley, polite and friendly. Not only this, there was a disagreement in the shop between some customers and she handled it with a skill, composure and serenity that I haven't seen before. I had some great food and learned something, can't get much better than that. Thank you very much, you're a credit to the business and world needs more people like you. Harry

This is a great takeaway or dine in. The dine in area was only recently extended. Friendly people who have the community at heart. Food wellpriced and as the name suggests is Tibetan. With plenty of vegan and meat options. We have the vegan mix with white rice and vegetable momos. Super tasty and good portion sizes so you don't go hungry. Staff always offer a free chai tea on the house whilst you wait for your food.

Favourite restaurant of all time. Menu, staff, ethics, quality, the three dishes option. Need more gluten free options.

Placed a massive takeaway order today, for a family get-together. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating but, most importantly, the food was fantastic. I filled up on the beautiful pork Pak Tsel but couldn't stop eating the momos either!

A real local gem. Good food at an excellent price - a portion of momos (dumplings; £5) to share and two rice-and-threes (£7.50 with meaty dishes) works out to a very filling meal for my girlfriend and me. They've got half a dozen main dishes that don't change around, plus a couple of specials. Vegan and gluten free options. I had a superb mutton curry today, for example. It's topped off by friendly service, free tea, and interesting surroundings. If you live locally and haven't yet been, you're really missing out. UPDATE: Okay, so prices have gone up a couple of quid in the last couple of year, but it's all still good. Now with added veggie fried rice on the menu. The beef stew is delicious!

What a fantastic little place! Never eaten Tibetan food before but will definitely go back. Great range of dishes - all incredibly tasty. The pork and pak choi is absolutely incredible. Very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We went there 30 minutes before they closed and were still serviced in a very friendly manner. We had 3 dishes, each coming with rice for every person, and 6 beef dumplings for sharing. The food was very tasty, and you could really taste the spiciness in the meat. I highly recommend the Tibetan milk tea. It was only 25 pounds for 2 people including drinks. It's a lovely place that I will definitely recommend!

This place was a lovely find! I had the stir fry chicken(4.5*), chickpea and spinach(5*), and lentils(3* just plain-not to my taste) & white rice (wish i’d got veg rice). Dad had stir fry chicken(again 5*), chicken curry(5*), and the beef dish(5*). The mixed dumplings (5*) really nice, not too wet/dry, crispy, i don’t usually like dumplings. The meat dumpling was like a chippy pudding (beef). The chai tea was lovely! (Milky) 5* I would bulk buy that if i could. The fried bread is nice/soft/not too greasy, great to eat your food with. The veg fried rice was £2.50 extra but definitely get it! It’s like a vermicelli (if it were rice)5*. Very friendly staff, quiet place (on a Wednesday) takeaway seemed busier. I liked the music and the atmosphere, but mostly the food :) thank you!

Loved the tea and food. But momos have very less fillings and are very thick.

We used the Tibetan Catering van for a function catering for 120 people, arrived on time and set up quickly. The food was very good and the service amazing. The comments from the guests were excellent. I would highly recommend there services and have no hesitation to use again.

Delicious, simple food! Portions are large and cheap but well prepared! You can see into a simple but very clean kitchen as they prepare the food. The staff have a lovely, homely attitute. They always offer some free vegan sweet chai tea while waiting (a little cup for free, or a small cup for 2.50, but better not drink more than that because it has a lot of spices). The best are the momos and veg caulifower stir fry!

Great experience! I would definitely recommend it. The service is really quick and prices are really cheap (£5 for 6 momos and £7.50/£8.50 for rice with 3 dishes). They do not have a vast menu but everything we had was delicious! I really recommend getting some momos for the table and we loves the pork and chickpea main. Absolutely loved it!

A choice of meat and vegetables choices, you choose and basically sit back and wait to me serve, food are lovely but staff does not engage with their customers. It not about serving your customers but also engaging with your customer, honestly do not feel welcome but l think it down to the training they got. Experience was not welcoming.

We’ve been to a christening today and the gathering was catered by the Tibetan Kitchen. I can honestly say it’s the best outside catering we’ve ever had anywhere - delicious hot food, plenty of choice and the nicest guys serving it. We haven’t been to the restaurant yet but we’ll definitely be visiting soon.

Excellent and very reasonable prices

Absolutely loved this place!! I've had the veg momos before from the little cart outside Unicorn (which were heavenly 🥰) But this time at the actual restaurant I had rice with 3 vegan curries, a chickpea one, the lentil one and the cauliflower stir-fry which was the special of the day, and my favourite of the 3. The food tasted great and you get such a big portion for the price. I also got given a little cup of free chai tea which was the best chai I've ever had, definitely see myself popping in just for a mug of that at some point too. The staff working were unbelievably welcoming and nice, it made it an even nicer experience and the place itself is super cosy. Can't wait to come back!

Really friendly little restaurant with a great selection of vegetarian options. I got mine to takeaway but I don't think the rice and 3 works all that well in this form, as it all gets mixed together (seems obvious but I didn't really think about it) so you'd probably be better choosing one curry option. The noodles looked amazing but they had ran out unfortunately. Really enjoyed the momos! It's a shame they don't deliver or open for lunch as I work nearby and would definitely be a regular. Another reviewer mentioned a low hygiene rating - I looked online and they have 5 stars now. The complimentary chai tea was a really nice touch and very delicious!

Great value place offering basic tasty authentic food. Typically can choose 3 options from a smallish menu with plenty of veggie choice. My advice... don't automatically choose 3 different....can lead to a confused plate of food....2+1 may be a better option.

Basic Asian food, nothing special. £2.5 for a little glass And same price as a top Thai Restaurant where you could find a variety of nice and tasty foods. It is more a take away place and if you d like to have you meal there you will freeze and your clothes gets full of funny smells. Overrated
