Most unlikely of areas, visually a bit concerning but best Chinese you will have in London for 30% less than in Chinatown. Large portions so maybe order 3 mains for 4 people.

Tasty Chinese food. Menu could be more descriptive. I ordered king prawn and noodles and it came with other veggies that were not included in the description but were welcome.

Very authentic Chinese food! Similar to the ones I had in China. Not like localised Chinese food here. Definitely will come again. Though I personally think the sliced beef and tongue has room for improvement.

You would know that it is pretty good when it's frequented by Chinese students from the nearby university. Service is similar to most Chinese restaurants, no-frills and simple.Food comes is quite large portions, meant for sharing, as it is with Chinese dishes. Chef's specials usually comes at an amazing price, especially the Hainanese Chicken Rice, which is as good as you can get in UK. It comes with prawn soup as well. All for 5 quid!

Having lived in China for four years, I was keen to find a restaurant that provided food that was cooked for Chinese customers rather than the British market. Tian Tian was recommended by Chinese students and I was told that the chefs were from the North East of China where I used to live. I was not disappointed. All my favourites were on the menu and the taste was pretty authentic. The portions are huge so it is better to go there with friends rather than alone.

This is located in Mile End. It is very close to Stepney Green underground station. It offers authentic Chinese dishes. The servings of rice are good for two persons. There are a variety of cold and hot dishes, simply a lot to choose from. The food tastes good. The service is quick. It is good for people on a tight budget but want to have a decent meal...in this part of London.

One of the few restaurants in Stepney which isn't a fried chicken or kebab shop Tian Tian serves an ENORMOUS range of Chinese food. Many of the dishes sound terrifying to Westerners: cucumber with jellyfish, tasty wood ears, spicy oil with pig's tripe. We're veggie so we decided to avoid the jellyfish but we still tried dishes we hadn't had before including some black wood ears in wasabi (mushrooms), oung choi with garlic (greens similar to pak choi with more stalk), aubergine, a spicy tofu dish, a celery and peanut salad and egg fried rice. The waitress was helpful in advising what was veggie once we'd defined what veggie meant. Each dish was really good and very different. Each one was enormous too. We'd easily ordered enough for four and we took a lot of it home with us, however it was good to have a big variety of dishes to try.The decor is simple and canteen-like. Father Christmas has been stencilled onto the wall between Chinese decorations which is quite funny. The front door slams shut as guests go in and out of the restaurant which is quite annoying and could easily be corrected. However the food is the most important thing and Tian Tian wins hands down in that department.Tip: if you have allergies it's easier to use the take-away menu to work out what's in what as it has a very comprehensive key

This is our new favourite restaurant in Stepney. The menu is extremely diverse and the portions are very large and well priced. It is as far removed from chinese takeaway food as Nandos is from authentic Portuguese chicken piri piri. Pigs elbow, intestines, trotters, kidneys etc are all to be found but I must admit we haventt tried them yet. They also sell beer and wine, which is great. Other diners are generally Chinese which is always a really good sign of authentic cuisine. We have only skimmed the surface of their menu and have seriously been there a lot! Do have the lamb skewers - an absolute dlieciously tasty bargain at £1 each. Only (and its a slight) downfall is that their front door doesnt close by itself and it can get pretty draughty. Takeaway and delivery available too.

I visited 3Mien today for lunch made my booking online and stuff was very nice over the phone. Called today I would like to change my booking one hour later and they didn't find any problem about it. I visited the cafe with my parents who are visiting me in UK. They loved the food flavour. I had a very big portion of rare beef pho, my mum some aubergine and tofu with rice and dad stewed beef with rice. We were well full up after but not in a bad way. Food was delicious and right balanced. O was visiting Viet Nam last year and can confirm food was very authentic and quality was great. We had Hanoi and Saigon beers which were very nice cold. The cafe is small but very comfy. Very relaxing atmosphere they also play some relaxing classic music on the speakers. Right volume and staff is super welcoming and friendly. Thanks so much for your delicious food, not scamming us and making us feel so welcome. We really enjoyed your food and place. Will definitely come back to try more of your dishes Cám ón! 🇻🇳❤️

Lovely atmosphere and super quick, friendly service. Our food was out within 5-10 minutes and the portions are quite generous, with lots of meat. We ordered roast duck, braised kelp and bean curd side dish, and two types of beef noodles (one dry flank, one soup shin). The food wasn’t as flavourful as we expected it to be. It was nice but nothing to rave about to be honest. Duck was quite tasty, and beef was tender but there was nothing special about the flavour of any of the dishes. Convenient and good value, but I wouldn’t exactly come rushing back.

Superb. Found this by chance on a september evening. Had the traditional soup which was phenomenal. If Vietnamese Pho is for serious cases then Sichuan soup is the intensive care unit version of planet soup. Then had dim sum which were awesome. Had a Tsingtao beer with it. Food of the sort that makes me happy
