Food is clean, fresh, and flavourful. Could do with a little bit more chilli but I guess that would be tricky, as not all can handle the heat.

Food was edible, but not tasty. Wouldn’t order again. Did not taste vaguely authentic. Very bland food. Lacked flavour. Salt pepper prawns not crisp. Beef donburi had no flavour and huge pieces of fat (even for brisket). Don’t recommend at all

Bought lunch from here today and when I bit into the chicken it was raw. I used my chopsticks to open up a few more pieces and they were raw too. Not a great first experience and quite alarming honestly.

We really used to enjoy coming here for quick lunch to takeaway - either Penang, katsu or Thai green curry. Today we decided to try their expanded menu including Mee Goreng noodles and Nasi Lemak rice. Probably the worst tasting food I've tried this year. Not remotely Malaysian. Same chicken is chopped and changed for all meals now. No flavour in noodles. Nasi Lemak stunk bad - anchovie paste was ok but had we not driven off we'd have returned the food for refund. Maybe stick to the Thai dishes theyre known for or like us, avoid from now on.

Been meaning to try this out for a while. Service was fast during lunch and portions good value. Both the green curry and katsu chicken were really nice. Only downside was the curry was ladled over the rice instead of a separate container. I get why they do this to keep lunch moving. But, the curry ends up absorbed in the rice (which was generous) which takes away some of the flavour. Next time I'll see if they can portion it separately.

They mistook my order then blamed me and upon requesting refund TOLD ME TO NEVER COME BACK. Details: Despite the consistently dismal customer service, I kept visiting this establishment due to its proximity to my building given that I have a very limited time for lunch. However, today's encounter was the final straw. Upon requesting a corn starched chicken portion, I was served sweet and sour chicken instead. When I politely requested a correction, the manager responded with hostility, implying that the fault lay with me, begrudgingly agreeing to rectify the error before storming off in a huff. Subsequently, because of his remarks about me, I sought a refund, the manager handed me the cash and TOLD ME TO NEVER COME BACK. The manager, a middle-aged, lean Asian man, epitomises the abysmal customer service at this establishment. His perpetual scowl and inability to effectively communicate with customers are glaring indicators of his poor attitude. Despite the promotion of loyalty cards, his attitude suggests disdain when stamping them, and replacements are only provided upon request, demonstrating a lack of regard for customer satisfaction. Although this was one of my very few options due to my brief lunch break, the unacceptable treatment I've endured here has finally compelled me to explore alternative dining options. I unequivocally pledge to never set my foot in this establishment again.

Picked up lunch here when working in the local area. The food is cooked and ready in hot plates ready to be served. My chicken curry was ok, pretty average for the price.

First time ordering from Lemongrass Kitchen. I thought the Green and Red (veggie) curries were delicious. Great level of spice too, not too hot and quite friendly for all levels of tolerance. The coconut rice was soft, sweet and a little bit crispy. Very delicious. I had heard takeway from here is good and I agree. Portions are decent; my wife and I could eat twice out of a couple of curries and a rice portion. I'll be ordering from here again, no doubt.

Actually I use to get very delicious Thai curries from this place. But Last time I got soup with prawns. The prawns taste like expired, very bad. Sadly, i will not be coming anymore. Ask them is it prawns are fresh before buying it😏

The food was tasty Singapore noodles but it was incorrect and not much of the items we asked for . We ordered mixed (or chicken, prawns, pork) but it said chicken and there was little of this amongst the noodles . The prawn one had chicken in it and just one prawn!

I always get the same dish for lunch maybe 4 times a month. Tofu Green Curry n steamed rice. I love the selection of veg 8n this dish. Today it was squash, potato, onion, green peppers, open mushroom and baby corn. The medium portion is enough for me. Its tasty, textured, warming, filling & nourishing.

We ordered three dishes and they got two wrong. One was so bland I suspect the chef missed a few ingredients. It was cooked incredibly fast so it's clear they were rushing. I wouldn't use them again.

I am impressed with the food here. It is cooked fresh to order, the portions are generous, and most importantly the flavour is extremely good - for this price you will not find a better purveyor of Asian noodles. Highly recommend.

I found this little cafe just opposite South Quay Station. Their food were simply delicious. Their customer service were friendly and welcoming. The food portion was extremely generous. Highly recommended for quick lunch and takeaway dinner.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lemongrass Kitchen is undeniably one of the area's best takeaways! Their dishes are incredibly tasty and bursting with flavor, especially the panang curry and the Thai green curry. The portions are satisfyingly large, and the staff is accommodating when it comes to customizing your order. The service is always fast and efficient, making it my go-to spot for either lunch or dinner.

Finally got to try Lemongrass after wanting to go for ages, but not getting chance because there’s usually a long queue! Tried it first about two weeks ago and had the Chicken Noodle soup with tom yum, which was delicious and had plenty of chicken in! Went back the next day and had the Chicken Char Kway Teow which was again super tasty and an enormous portion for just under £7! Went again today and had Salt and Pepper Chicken and egg fried rice, and the chicken was huge chunks and really fresh and juicy, plus had loads of beansprouts which are my absolute favourite! Egg friend rice was also really good, I wouldn’t usually leave a review for something so ‘normal’ as egg fried rice but it was probably the best rice I’ve had as a takeaway! Also helps that the staff are really friendly! Love this place and will definitely be back again very soon!!

If you charged more than £10 for a CHICKEN KATSU CURRY DONBURI, then it’s a crime to use Basmati just because it’s cheaper than sushi rice. 4/10 for the chicken katsu curry, over-fried and had an unpleasant smoky taste. 0/10 for the rice, not only the choice of the variety of rice but also the cooking method. You can literally separate every grain of rice, meaning it’s not sticky at all. There is no way to cook rice in such a way and served it as any Asian cuisine let alone a Donburi. I choked with rage when I saw the rice. And if this is the best seller dish of your restaurant, I can’t imagine others.

I keep coming back here for many years as the food is GREAT! I love the Malaysian dishes and always have friendly service and good talk with the Malaysian manager and chef who make dishes just like home. Meat is HALAL so tastes better for me.

Ok on lunch menu and large portions although you don't feel too great after eating, had takeaway and was not worth finishing. In general the quality of the food is low.

I ordered Tom Yum soup but I was served with Tom Kha soup. I didn’t realise it until I was checking their menu second time. I saw on the menu that Tom Kha soup has coconut’s milk. As I was having their Tom Yum soup for the first time and never had that “Tom Kha” soup so I really couldn’t say anything. I was just thinking in my mind that maybe this is how their Tom Yum soup is made. But when I told them that I ordered Tom Yum and you served me with Tom Kha but it’s fine as I already finished half of the soup. They didn’t even say sorry. At least they should’ve realised that they made the mistake and they should owe me an apology.

Worst Chinese food I've had - noodles tasted like kethcup and were mushed into a dough, the rice was in hard, uncooked nuggets. Couldn't even finish the meal.

OK, so this is my 2nd time having their Thai Red Curry and OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I am really looking forward to trying their nasi goren 😁😋 I am a huge fan of Thai food ! And this is super delicious, fresh and authentic the potions are huge, definitely recommend and the server is super friendly and polite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Deserves zero stars for the food I had which were chicken Goyza and what they called Pad Se Ew with duck. The noodles were narrow rather than wide, overcooked and flavorless. I mentioned that this is not pad se ew and he said that's the way they make it. It's like me selling tofu and calling it filet mignon. Avoid at all costs.

I ordered this via UberEats and it arrived on time and looked the part. That is where I stopped. The food had absolutely no flavour at all, it was bland. If you closed your eyes you would not know if you were eating Kung Po Chicken or Beef in oyster sauce, all you would experience is texture in your mouth. That's how bad it was. When it comes to food, its my genre. I love food but unfortunately this is a place I will never go back to. I even rang the shop 5 minutes after tasting it and offered to return the food so they could taste it themselves but they didn't have a driver and I certainly was not going to be paying any extra money for it since I had already spent £24. If you like to taste food then this is no place for you. And to be frankly honest, it makes me wonder how they ever got an award in the first place, unless they had a different chef at the time. Don't just take my word for it, try and lose your dosh.

I ordered from Ubereats, food looked the part but was absolutely tasteless, bland and no flavour at all. If you closed your eyes you would not know what dish you was eating. You couldn't taste anything but texture in your mouth, and I know what food should taste like. So very disappointing as I now have to find somewhere else to eat. Rang the shop but they didn't have a driver to collect my food back so they can taste it themselves. Never again.

My go to place for take out and delivery. I have tried several dishes from Lemongross Kitchen and they never disappoint. When I miss home, I order the nasi goreng or nasi lemak. The sambal is so good! I would highly recommend Lemongrass Kitchen. The portions are great, the food is always fresh and delicious. I love ordering the calamari as a side, I have no idea what the mayonnaise dipping sauce is but it’s so good! Service is also always great and lovely ☺️

Ordered a chicken pad Thai, flavour didn’t resemble at all what I was expecting, it was more sweet/tomato based than tamarind. Definitely wouldn’t order this dish again. The portion was good, the dish tasted fine (albeit the chicken tasted reheated), but flavour wise a bit disappointment.

Good, hearty food. At a good price. BUT the thing that I like most about this place is without a doubt the portion sizes. It's an honest portion. A GENEROUS portion. If you want a generous portion that leaves you ready for a phat nap, this is the place for you. Get on down and finesse yourself a large chicken katsu curry and you'll be just fine! They pack it so well in the box that it's literally bursting at the edges. Plenty of rice, LOTS of chicken and a whole lotta sauce. 5 stars.

I read some reviews and seems like they are not fair for this store. I rate it 5 star for its food quality. I wonder why it claims as the best Chicken Katsu, then I tried and now understand why. The portion is huge, I had it for dinner and then the following lunch lol, the fried chicken is so juicy. I tried chicken katsu so many times in London, given I have travelled almost every city in Japan from North to South. Therefore, I rate this chicken katsu 5 star. I love its nasi lemak as well. I studied and worked in Malaysia for 4 years, this nasi lemak just reminded me of my time there, just wish that it has some fried fishes too 😃. I definitely will visit again and try more food on the menu.

Food was completely tasteless. I’ve had this dish many times this was not what I expected. The rice was microwaved and aging completely tasteless. This is the worst food I’ve had.

I order from here multiple times a week and the food is always delicious! I usually get the tofu pad Thai which the chef makes exactly to my specifications. The hot counter is also very good, lots of fresh veg and good portions.

the coconut soup does not indicate that it is spicy, we have ordered noodles and they seem to be three days old. I am very upset about the site. product in the trash. I do not recommend it. in response to the owner: You have not specified anything spicy in the deliveroo app. I find it disrespectful to the customer making me look like a fool. Had the Char Kway Teo with Chicken. Good noodles but I think it could use more soy sauce or Sriracha. Im not sure if they offer this in the side. Good portions of chicken in it.

The food arrived piping hot... but we found the rice a little on the salty side and the noodles a bit too spicy but otherwise I would order again and ask for a little less spice!

Best Chicken Katsu in London by far. It's been my favourite place in the city for lunch since 2014 and it continues to hold that status for me.

Really outstanding food. I am very sensitive to MSG and couldn’t taste any in the food I ordered. It was so good I went back again as I was staying nearby. The salt & pepper squid and the ginger king prawns were really well cooked with loads of fresh onions and veg. I wish I’d come back again rather than going to a very disappointing alternative on the third night. Fantastic food.

The starters, squid with chilli and salt and tempura vegetable with chilli and salt, were both soggy and inedible. The vegetable tempura was not recognisable as any one vegetable but a mash of vegetables like a veggie burger with a crumb coating and both starters were packed on top of bean sprouts in a closed box with no air hole to allow steam to escape. So both were a soggy mess. I wouldn’t order these again. I also had tofu pieces in my green curry although I ordered King prawn. They were not pink but the white shrimp - disappointing.

We ordered today thru deliveroo. The order arrived on time and at good temp. The spring rolls were ok and crispy. They sent shrimp salt and pepper (we ordered squid), which was ok. Katsu curry was not good, rice was overcooked (went to refuse), the chicken dry. Nasi Goreng were good, more peas could make it even better. Sweet and Sour Chicken ok. Masdaam curry watery (this Thai curry suposed to be rich). Egg rice were ok if you are in a hospital, but not for a regular restaurant. Lots of room for improvement

Popped here with my work colleague for lunch today as we were working in the area. I ordered a Chilli Chicken Donburi at £7.95 and my colleague ordered King Prawn Pad Thai at £8.25 so £16.20 altogether and totally overpriced for very small portions. My box had very minimal rice and about five pieces of chicken and my colleagues pad thai had small tasteless prawns - hard to see if this was actually King Prawns as they were small and the prawn gave off a rotten egg / ammonia smell which was not pleasant. My family comes from Malaysia and frankly this place gives Malaysian cuisine a very bad name if dishes like Nasi Goreng and Nasi Lemak are like this. Wished I had gone to Asda at Crossharbour and got something from the hot counter!
