Delicious food, and a wonderful friendly host. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Truly and fully enjoyable Chinese cuisine. The food is amazing and staff were very friendly and nice. They opened late for us and it was much much appreciated. My suggestion is just to come and enjoy their dishes and choose a main dish and a rice or noodles together. My favourite is the specialty Manchuria sweet and sour pork Spot on!！

Food was so good we ate here twice in our 4 day stay! The owner is one of the most kind people I’ve met! Such a great vibe. Besides that the food was really really good🙌🏽

Chow main seafood 12£ no worth it no sea food and dray no taste

I ordered plum duck and beef stew with potatoes and noodles, all very nice. With drinks it cost about £58 for 2 of us. Highly recommended, there is seriously no restaurant around poplar and this one is fab! The food is nice the service is great and they gave me some of their own meals to try as well. What an experience !

I was visiting London and craving good authentic Chinese, so ordered on UberEATS. Even though the food didn’t arrive as hot and freshly made to be enjoyed, I have to still give it a 5-star rating, food is meant to be enjoyed straight out of the pan so not their fault if noodles soaked up a lot of the soup (the broth was delicious) as it sat in traffic. The Jian noodles were stuck together but with some tossing in a separate bowl it came together nicely. This type of noodle dish is also good at room temperature or cold, the hefty amount of cucumbers was great too as there was almost too much sauce and was on the saltier side because of it. The 20-piece dumpling was luke warm (not your fault guys) was still juicy and delicious and I loved the chewy skin dipped in the dark vinegar. If I had chili sauce to go with at the Airbnb even better! Overall it satisfied our cravings, but if you can visit in person it would be much better!

A Must Go and Fantastic restaurant! New Beijing is my regular restaurant, and food is always Brilliant, the waitres and waitors were so nice and always talk to me when I am there. Their price is London standard, and on average it is about 35 per person. If the spend is lower, then you are not going to have enough nice dishes to enjoy：-） obviously not going to have plenty to choose from nor a drink. It is the same else where in this city. Highly recommended! Plus, I used to see the staff lent umbrellas to dining in tourists for free and that was absolutely rare and heart warmig to see.

What a hidden gem! The food was phenomenal and the service was 10/10. We will definitely be back soon to make our way through their Menu! If you find yourself craving Chinese food in the area (OG Beijing food), I would 100% recommend.

We went to this place to try to find a good local Chinese restaurant and the reviews were pretty good. We were greeted warmly by Eric our waiter and there was a good range of menu choices. We opted for the Homemade Beef Noodle Soup, the dumplings and the Mapo Tofu with a side of boiled rice. All the dishes were very tasty, good value and came in good time. The place has a nice atmosphere and the service was great. We will definitely return!

The food was horrendous because the dumplings were not cooked properly and the skin of the dumplings tasted like plastic. And the vinagre tasted like wee. We also had some bean noodles and they were terrible as well because they tasted like some polluted cow. The service was quite bad because they did not give us any napkins or any spoons,and also the waiter was not very friendly. And there was no atmosphere whatsoever because there was like 1 person there. 30£ wasted.

SO GOOD! I got the vegetable chow mein and chicken sweet corn soup. The soup was so satisfying and the chow mein was next level – the veggies were almost caramelized with all the flavor. The atmosphere inside was perfect mom-and-pop vibes. I really liked the little ceramic vegetable-shaped chopstick rests :) The service was lovely too – I felt very welcomed as someone staying in the area from the US! Five out of five. Get dinner here!!

I searched for this Chinese restaurant on Google Maps. The reviews were very good. When I arrived, the owner was very nice! Very enthusiastic! The seating arrangement is also very considerate. The main thing is the dishes, very authentic Chinese food, delicious😋plentiful ~ the taste of domestic Chinese food in London😋satisfying😄

So delicious. original Beijing style food. Highly recommend sweet and sour pork. This is a Chinese restaurant that suits Korean tastes. Kwabarou, I recommend Eohyanggaji. The Jjajangmyeon is Beijing-style, not Korean-style, and has a slightly stronger vinegar flavor, but it's okay. The price is reasonable too

Well... from the exterior, there is not much to look at. On a mid week late b was very quiet. The Menus are physically laminated, so are hard wearing. The food, particularly the starter spicy soup for two (enough for four normal mortals), was very, very good. I'm sorry, I didn't take any photos today. The service, courtesy of (English sounding name) Eric, was friendly, helpful... in fact, exceptionally good, as was the food! In summary, if in or near Limehouse (which was a Chinese centre in London before Soho) for an authentic Chinese restaurant, visit New Beijing Chinese Restaurant!

We came for takeaway but decided to eat in. The food was nice, hot and authentically spicy. The waiter was very pleasant and even recommended that we ordered less (we always order too much). Although we were only here for a brief visit, we would eat here again.

small friendly neighborhood restaurant. I arrived at opening and they were a little late to raise the shutters. A young student waiting said occasionally they will be a bit late on the open. Not a big issue. I enjoyed a dry pot with chicken gizzards and lotus root. I would have liked some numbing peppercorns in the mix but the medium spicy red pepper was just enough for me. The waiter was friendly and we enjoyed a chat about chicken anatomy. A young student at the table next to me chatted with me about the history of the neighborhood. It is worth jumping off the DLR and walking around the corner to this little treasure.

I ordered a meal and waited for an hour and a half, but it still didn't arrive. I was really convinced.

Excellent! Eric's service was excellent. He was friendly, welcoming, accommodating and attentive. The food was lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed what I ordered - the salt and pepper King prawns and the egg fried rice. The portions were well-sized.

It's doesn't not say no buffet on website it's waate our trip to get here and see only menu high price..will not coming back this place ever again And there to diffcuit for car parking too.

Local Chinese dish which are very oriental! As Chinese, I have been dining here for many years before COVID and during the lockdown, I’ve ordered a few times takeaway. The portion is amazing. My husband and I ordered the Sichuan dish Ma La Xiang Guo and selected 5/6 types veggie and meat. We received 4 big takeaway boxes for this dish...basically 2 meals for 2 people!!! Amazing flavour as well... the owner confirmed after all staff get vaccine they will open again. Cant wait to dine in again!

Once again order the takeway and once again very satisfied with the food and quick delivery and the free beer/coke. Very friendly stuff and owner and hopefully can visit the restaurant once the lockdown is completely lifted.

Ive eaten here 10 times. 9 times were great, 1 time was not. The young lad working has a serious issue with customers complaining. Im not going to slate this place as much i intended as the food is usually excellent. But the way you handled the issue i raised was childish. His response to a valid customers complaint was that this is the chinese way. Not cool. Your customers are always right, whether you like it or not. If you cannot take criticism then you wont enjoy a career in catering

Extremely authentic food, very tasty, all freshly prepared. Waited for a takeaway, generous portions, the restaurant looked very quiet for a Saturday though. Would certainly to there to eat!

At first it seemed really good. The waiter explained that one of the starters was very spicy, and that it was cold, and were we ok with that. The starters arrived. Very nice. But then the main courses arrived before we were even half way through the starters. Not good. There were only 2 other diners there, no not like the chef was busy. When we were done, we asked for the bill. It arrived with just a price on. I asked for an itemised bill, which had a hidden service charge on. Again, not good. Overall the food was very nice, but the service, and sneaky service charge was not acceptable. I will not be returning.

I had the kung pao chicken, and it was delicious. It was properly spicy (I tend to find most Chinese meals a bit bland). This popped with flavour! This is a local gem, and the people running it are lovely. Definitely give it a go. Worth walking from Canary Wharf.
