Tried Thumbs up for the first time tonight and was really impressed. Was ready as I arrived yo collect.. still piping hot when I got home. Really tasty well cooked and prepared... will definitely be going back in the future and I highly recommend this takeaway.

Best Chinese I have had in a long time

ordered special chow mein and chicken skewers, skewers dry and solid, chow mein bland with no sauce. meat tasted like it was boiled in plain water. couldn't even finish the skewers as they were unchewable. cost me £33 for 2 starters and 2 mains which is the most I've ever spent on that much food and it was terrible. seasoning would have helped, anything would have improved it. delivery was quick though

everything was cold apart from the sweet and sour sauce. chicken was like rubber and tasted reheated. first time ordering from here and probably won't again

meal was ok. I've had better lar chee. don't boil the chicken. fried chicken is better. sauce needs to be thicker. also was missing my chilli sauce. everything else was ok.

I’ve tried a lot off Chinese takeaway recently and I can say that’s the best special fried rice and got a extra tub o curry sauce that av had in years a used thumbs up before but tried elsewhere for a while but I can say will definitely be back was delicious thanks folks

We ordered for the first time from here in a lot of years and I have to say the meal was lovely, it arrived 30 mins earlier than expected and it was the same delivery girl who is very nice. Chicken fried rice with curry sauce was really tasty, spring rolls also very nice, the chips were piping hot which is unusual to get from other places. We will definitely order from here again.

Thumbs up? It's a thumbs down from us! I don't usually write reviews; but it was our first time trying here and I really don't want anyone else to make the same mistake we did and waste their money. The food was flavourless and bland. The special fried rice had some sort of disgusting salty, gravy-like substance over it and still managed to be so dry that it made your mouth stick together; and I don't the chef knows what curry is - I've had a spicier curry when I was in hospital. All in all, the food we ordered was rank! And no complimentary prawn crackers like with other places? Poor show! The delivery driver was so rude also. Having such a loud conversation on her phone at the front door; so loud that we heard her before we saw her. And we really didn't want to know all about someone's vasectomy just as we were going to eat! She didn't even have the decency to get off her phone, she just handed the bag over and walked away. Wouldn't buy from here again if you paid me to. Waste of money.

The service was great, our food was early but it was rubbish tbh! The chicken was tough and the chips were dry! The chow mien had no flavour whatsoever and even the prawn crackers were rubbish. If you’re looking for a good Chinese takeaway I’d highly recommend the cross instead!

Another great takeaway from Thumbs Up! Order said it wouldnt be delivered for over an hour, and it was here within 10 minutes. The only takeaway in the area we have had that is ever early, as always have issues with others being so late. Great meal, great food, delivered promptly. Can't wait for our next!

Thumbs Up is the only Chinese restaurant we use. When collecting (before covid) I like how you can see the chef cook your meals, seeing exactly all the ingredients. Now, during the pandemic, their lovely delivery driver delivers to us in Kirkcaldy, always stopping for a quick chat too. Definitely the best Chinese we have tried and always look forward to receiving our food!

Not what I expected, shame as some of my order was delicious, but a few of the dishes let it down...Salt & Chilli chips had Chinese 5 spice Black pepper and onions, I couldn't find any Chilli's in my dish x Chow mein had had zero sauce and extremely DRY...I thought I'd still give this place a bash although the dishes were a little pricey and didn't include rice chips or noodles...x

Speedy and fast preparation, rice and chicken balls overcooked, satay chicken dry and ribs overcooked.

Food was disgusting. I'm positive it was from the night before as it was salty and way over cooked. Wish I had noticed the environmental health certificate of "requires improvement". Genuinely the worst takeaway I have ever had!!

Very fast delivery, the guy was very nice and supporting social distancing great service food was really good hot witch is normally only warm when you get a delivery but this was still extremely hot. Fantastic place qould recommend everything from the food right down to the service from the guy delivering. Thanks thumbs up 👍

Only thing that let it down was the Char Siu. Totally lacking in flavour and tasted just like boiled meat. Disapointing as this is one if my favourite meals.

First time having a Chinese from here and I totally recommend it , I find it so hard to like a sweet and sour sauce that’s good . My daughter only ever has sweet n sour and she said it’s the best she’s ever tasted

Restaurant delivered an hour & 50 minutes early and got the order incorrect and then redelivered late so food and then late (by 25 mins) and the food was poor at best. Avoid like the plague if possible, absolutely brutal. Delivery driver trying to blame just eat too... poor show.

I live in Thornton and was meant to receive free delivery, and i didn’t. very unhappy.

Food was look warm, batter was soggy and chips were stale. Don’t think I’d order from them again

Chips were solid like they had been cooked a few times. Fried rice was hard like it had also been reheated. Unfortunately won't be back.

With my usual Chinese closed I thought I’d take a chance and try a new one, It was the best decision of my takeaway life. Food was fast, tasty and warm, can’t find a single fault. Will be my regular Chinese from now on. 10/10

FOOD WAS HOT AND ARRIVED EARLY.

Ribs and the chips were good but the chicken in the chicken Maryland was like leather. So much so it was thrown out.... The mushrooms were not the best either...
