Such a lovely establishment. Went for lunch recently. Our server Tracey was very interactive. All food was well presented. Highly recommend

I just love how dog friendly this place is, the staff are so nice as well.

We came for some food & drinks and was greeted by this lovely young lady at the bar! She was very bubbly and provided a great service, thank you Daisy! Will be coming back again.

We enjoyed a very tasty midweek lunch. The gammon steak and triple cooked chips were particular highlights. We were extremely well looked after by very friendly staff especially Libby.

We went for early Christmas Lunch and enjoyed the food and the ambience very much. Tricia was very pleasant and helpful.

Lovely lunch with my mum at the Three Horse Shoes - food was fab (burgers highly recommended!) and the service from lovely Libby was outstanding. She couldn’t do enough for us and was a truly excellent hostess. Cracking pub - ask for Libby, she will look after you!

My friend and I had a really fantastic night out at The Three horseshoes on Friday night. We booked for their Cocktail Masterclass to celebrate my friend’s 50th birthday. We decided we’d go out for a meal & have a couple of drinks to celebrate. The staff & the manager Callum were fab, really friendly & helpful. The food & the service was excellent & once we had finished our meal we had so much fun making cocktails. It was a great night all round & we both really enjoyed it. Thank you so much Callum & team. Looking forward to our next visit

We came for our Christmas Day meal & we had a wonderful time. We had a lovely welcome from the manager and the food was delicious. It seemed they were short staffed (they seemed so busy!) but we didn’t mind as they were attentive especially Noah & Daisy.

OK but not the best.The booking software was crap to the point it was annoying.

My partner and I visited The Three Horseshoes yesterday (25th December), intending to stop in for a drink after a long walk. Sadly, what we encountered was nothing short of appalling. Upon arriving, we approached the man behind the bar, only to be met with an unnecessarily rude response. We were told that we couldn’t have a drink because we hadn’t made a reservation for food. All we wanted was a quick drink, and we were more than happy to sit outside, where it was very quiet with hardly anyone around. We honestly couldn’t see the issue. To make matters worse, there was no mention of this supposed policy on the website, nor were there any signs outside to indicate it. We walked several miles to the pub, only to be turned away in the most discourteous manner. The way we were treated was unnecessarily abrupt and lacking in basic hospitality. Based on this unpleasant experience, we definitely won’t be visiting again, nor would we recommend it to anyone else. A little kindness goes a long way, and unfortunately, it seems this pub is severely lacking in that regard.

10/10 food fantastic, service brilliant, had a great table in front of a real live fire, so cosy. A last minute idea to have lunch, and really could not of been better, a lovely family meal.

Very comfortable round table by the window for our book group lunch. We had plenty of time to select our choices and to chat in relaxed atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their choices.

Went with a party for the 3 course Christmas meal. Specified vegan beforehand but they forgot that part, kind of important for me. Tomato and pepper soup was pretty good, given dairy butter with bread though. Had the vegetable wellington as a main which was good, but the rest was lacking, sprouts, half a single carrot (yes really) and yorkshire pudding for £33.50, absolutely outrageous. It turns out the vegan option (which I was glad to see on the menu) was just the removal of the yorkshire pudding, but they gave me one anyway, I had to get them to check if it was vegan (it wasn't) so that was nice. No cauliflower, parsnips, veg, nothing extra, a seriously boring roast! Desert was nice, trillionaire chocolate cake thing, apparently this was vegan so I'm glad I got to eat a dessert. Absolutely insane price considering the anemic main course, and no alternatives in the main for vegan diets (aquafaba as an egg replacement for yorkshire puddings fyi). Colleagues weren't particularly impressed either as far as I recall, overall pretty mid, wouldn't recommend.

I haven't been here for over ten years but brought a friend for lunch and it was very nice, especially the wonderful service from the waitress, Tricia. She was so kind and nothing was too much trouble. The food was good but Tricia made the experience an excellent one. Worth the money and I would definitely come back

Decent pub. Not one of my favourites but I'd go back there for a quick meal.

I recently visited this resturant for a festive dinner with my child, looking forward to a nice evening. Unfortunately, what should have been a pleasant meal was overshadowed by repeated issues with the bill that left me feeling more cheated than festive. The child’s menu, advertised at £12.50, was initially charged at £37.25. After I pointed this out, the waitress kindly corrected it. However, when I checked the updated bill, the child’s meal was still being overcharged at £14.50. The explanation? An extra scoop of ice cream – except my child only had two scoops, not three. After raising this again, the waitress adjusted the bill for a second time, but there was no apology or acknowledgment for the mistakes. It’s hard not to feel that this wasn’t just carelessness, especially when it happened twice. Instead of addressing the issue with understanding, it felt like the restaurant hoped I wouldn’t notice. That left a sour taste, both from the lack of accountability and the suspicion of intentional behavior. A festive menu should leave diners with happy memories, not hard feelings and a lingering sense of mistrust. I’d advise anyone dining here to carefully check their bill and be prepared to challenge anything that doesn’t look right.

A big fan of this place and recently visited their Christmas Market Day. Great stalls for Christmas shopping and was such a lovely festive vibe!

Nice and friendly the food was good.

Always a good atmosphere and the food is great. Finishing off the evening with a dram in front of the fire tops it all off.

I met the manager. Wonderful person. He cooks as well! The lamb shank was bigger than expected. Enjoyed that and topped off with sticky toffee pudding. Really lovely old pub atmosphere.

Went in for a Sunday roast at the Three Horseshoes, ordered both vegetarian and meat roasts and both were great according to the table, our server was Willow, she was very welcoming and looked after us brilliantly.

We have just had a most enjoyable lunch at The Three Horseshoes Smallford. All 4 of us found the food delicious, & served with a smile from the lovely Tricia, who was both friendly & efficient - she made us laugh ! We will be back……🍻🥂

Me and my friends came in for a little bit of lunch and a few drinks, the service was very good and fast, the drinks were very good we had cocktails. it was a very cosy atmosphere and i would definitely recommend it and i will be coming back

After a long walk around the countryside, my family, dogs and I popped in for dinner after having recently moved to the area, this was the first time we have been to this pub, all the staff were very welcoming, we sat down for dinner and one of the bartenders came over to let us know that there’s dog treats and water on the side which was amazing. The food was great, we have made this a regular outing now. Can’t recommend this pub enough.

A family gathering for a special birthday drew us to The Three Horseshoes , Smallford. It didn't disappoint. With 25 people in our party for Sunday lunch each tasty meal arrived hot and as ordered. Meals were pre-ordered but there was plenty of choice and all were catered for. Sarah was especially helpful ensuring all were given a meal in a timely fashion and that all was well. She was both efficient and polite and helped to make the surprise party a success. Thank you for a lovely day.

We took my 98 yr old dad out for lunch today. The disabled entrance was locked, the "vase" of flowers was full of green mould. The staff were not attentive (bearing in mind there were only 3 tables of customers at the time). The gents toilet was blocked and didn't flush. They had no small potatoes (on 2 dishes on their menu). The brand new member of staff handed my dad a spoon by the bowl of the spoon - at least she came back and apologised after I had told her how unhygienic that was. The custard for pudding was lukewarm. We shan't be returning. :-(

We have been to the 3 horseshoes many times and the service is always exemplary. The staff are all vety friendly and efficient. A special mention for Daisy, she is sooo lovely, friendly and very effecient. She has a lovely smile and is always wearing it! The food is delicious too. Thank you Daisy and the team. X

Great management and atmosphere

The food was lovely, there was a great atmosphere & I loved the fairy lights around the pub. It gave it a cosy vibe. Also the young lady who served us Monday night was very friendly.

It's quite calm, the food was brilliant. You can tell that the meat and vegetables are prepared fresh. The service was good, and I had a proper chat that made it smooth that completed my Sunday.

Lunch party of 6 fairly average food, Vintage Inn. Parking plentiful. Passion fruit Eton Mess not worth the money, no meringue despite it being the first listed ingredient basically for £8 you got a plate of squirty cream a few crumbs of freeze dried strawberry, two pieces of canned mango and a passion fruit syrup. They offered the same thing again but as we were leaving a refund of the dish.

Fantastic place celebrating our mum's 80th... Calum was a fantastic host. Nothing was too much.. The food was great and the atmosphere.. Thank you again

Went for dinner with my nieces, one of who has special needs and doesn’t find it easy to sit still. We also took the dog and all of us were made to feel more than welcome from the minute we walked through the door. The staff were amazing, genuinely warm and friendly, we were asked where we would like to sit and if there was anything we needed to just ask. Food was perfect - hot, fresh and plenty of choice from lighter bites to full meals and reasonably priced. The surroundings are excellent, great ambiance, lovely bar and lots of different little sections whether you want to be in the main area or tucked away in a quiet corner there is something for everyone. Plenty of parking, lovely big garden, ample seating, and easy access for those who may need it. Highly recommend to everyone, just what we needed - Thankyou guys totally appreciate your warmth and kindness ☺️

Good service and good food, one waitress tried to bring the main course when the starter hadn't been cleared, but no big deal. A shame some of the desserts were not available from the menu. Still an enjoyable evening though thank you.

Yesterday was our first visit here and we loved it. We came to see the live band which was great and we recieved a warm welcome. We were served by Daisy who was lovely and friendly. We will definitely be coming back.

Had a warm welcome as soon as we walked in the pub. Lovely atmosphere. A big bonus you can take dogs (well behaved) . The outside area is kept lovely and clean with plenty of seating . Plenty of parking . Food was tasty and plentiful. We will be back with our dog very soon . Thank you.

The menu is great but unfortunately they didn’t have quite a lot of things on the menu. I ordered sirloin steak which they didn’t have so went for the 10oz ribeye instead which was quite expensive. It certainly wasn’t rare like I ordered but overcooked and no way was a 10oz steak . No pie for my dad and no sticky toffee pudding or chocolate brownies. You are not told this when handed the menu only when you come to order. I mentioned being a bit disappointed but seems this must be quite normal. The young staff serving were polite and no complaints there, but I feel something is going wrong here with how the business is being run. My parents come here quite regularly but will be looking for somewhere else to go in future as it has been the same situation on their previous visits.

This is a lovely pub they have some good staff very friendly and polite .it's good to go somewhere and have a good time .going back on Saturday to see the music.

The staff were really lovely and made us feel welcomed; but also made the effort to have pleasant conversation. A special shout out to Tricia who complimented my earrings! I had the vegan curry which was warming, flavoursome and comforting. I would come back again

Very successful birthday celebration lunch for large group of friends. We chose the set menu and the food and setting were good. Excellent service from Trisha which helped make the occasion. Our second such visit this year and it won't be the last.

Arrived hot and tired to this lovely pub. We were immediately welcomed in a courteous and efficient manner. Soon settled down to relax choosing from the wide range of drinks. We decided on the scrumptious haddock fish cakes, which arrived piping hot and beautifully presented! Afterwards the honeycomb ice cream washed it all down beautifully. We were happy sitting inside, but it's good to know we could sit outside on thec spacious patio or garden area if we chose to. Thanks for a lovely evening Three Horseshoes!

Was there last night with family and friends, Sanna came out with water and dog treats, for my friends dog, very friendly, will definitely be back. We didn’t eat so can’t comment on the food.

The food was wonderful. The three horseshoes provides a welcoming experience with solid lighting and well though out interior design. Our server Tracy was wonderful and provided both good conversation and meal recommendations. All in all, great service and food. I plan to return soon!

Came here for an impromptu lunch with a few mates of mine, seemed busy and was expecting a 20 min wait for our food. Thankfully we were wrong and the food came out really fast. Our Coffees seemed to take a long time to come but our waiter did their best to remedy that. Pink haired person who seemed to always have an eye out on any thing we might have wanted, but not too much you want to be left alone. Wish we had a chance to try the starters. Special thanks to Adrian for cooking our meals and so many others in such fast pace, and the rest of the team.

Lovely service, barely had to wait for drinks, so many drinks to choose from and nice new summer cocktails on the menu too!

I had the most amazing dining experience during my first visit to this restaurant. The meal was absolutely delightful, particularly the lamb chop, and it exceeded my expectations. The pricing was reasonable. The staff, especially Lucas, were exceptionally courteous and attentive. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner there.

Recently came in with my brother, sister and baby son. They were extremely accommodating, allowing us a larger table with space for a high chair. The service we received from the staff, especially our server Lucus was impeccable. So friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and extremely sweet with my son. The food we ordered was delicious and served promptly and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. We look forward to our next visit

When we arrived the welcome wasn’t very welcoming. After 25 minutes we had to ask for our order to be taken and get drinks. The server was very smiley and happy but kept forgetting to get things we had asked for. When the food eventually came it was nice. When we finished we didn’t stay for dessert as we were tied of waiting! Won’t be going back!
