Nice birthday ladies lunch. Food was good and service good. Would recommend.

Great food, nice relaxed atmosphere, decent pri e for 7 having starters main & desert and a few beers. Staff very friendly and attentive, but didn't bother us every 5mins.

Went in for a Sunday roast at the Three Horseshoes, ordered both vegetarian and meat roasts and both were great according to the table, our server was Willow, she was very welcoming and looked after us brilliantly.

We have just had a most enjoyable lunch at The Three Horseshoes Smallford. All 4 of us found the food delicious, & served with a smile from the lovely Tricia, who was both friendly & efficient - she made us laugh ! We will be back……🍻🥂

Me and my friends came in for a little bit of lunch and a few drinks, the service was very good and fast, the drinks were very good we had cocktails. it was a very cosy atmosphere and i would definitely recommend it and i will be coming back

After a long walk around the countryside, my family, dogs and I popped in for dinner after having recently moved to the area, this was the first time we have been to this pub, all the staff were very welcoming, we sat down for dinner and one of the bartenders came over to let us know that there’s dog treats and water on the side which was amazing. The food was great, we have made this a regular outing now. Can’t recommend this pub enough.

A family gathering for a special birthday drew us to The Three Horseshoes , Smallford. It didn't disappoint. With 25 people in our party for Sunday lunch each tasty meal arrived hot and as ordered. Meals were pre-ordered but there was plenty of choice and all were catered for. Sarah was especially helpful ensuring all were given a meal in a timely fashion and that all was well. She was both efficient and polite and helped to make the surprise party a success. Thank you for a lovely day.

We took my 98 yr old dad out for lunch today. The disabled entrance was locked, the "vase" of flowers was full of green mould. The staff were not attentive (bearing in mind there were only 3 tables of customers at the time). The gents toilet was blocked and didn't flush. They had no small potatoes (on 2 dishes on their menu). The brand new member of staff handed my dad a spoon by the bowl of the spoon - at least she came back and apologised after I had told her how unhygienic that was. The custard for pudding was lukewarm. We shan't be returning. :-(

Great management and atmosphere

We have been to the 3 horseshoes many times and the service is always exemplary. The staff are all vety friendly and efficient. A special mention for Daisy, she is sooo lovely, friendly and very effecient. She has a lovely smile and is always wearing it! The food is delicious too. Thank you Daisy and the team. X

The food was lovely, there was a great atmosphere & I loved the fairy lights around the pub. It gave it a cosy vibe. Also the young lady who served us Monday night was very friendly.

It's quite calm, the food was brilliant. You can tell that the meat and vegetables are prepared fresh. The service was good, and I had a proper chat that made it smooth that completed my Sunday.

Lunch party of 6 fairly average food, Vintage Inn. Parking plentiful. Passion fruit Eton Mess not worth the money, no meringue despite it being the first listed ingredient basically for £8 you got a plate of squirty cream a few crumbs of freeze dried strawberry, two pieces of canned mango and a passion fruit syrup. They offered the same thing again but as we were leaving a refund of the dish.

Fantastic place celebrating our mum's 80th... Calum was a fantastic host. Nothing was too much.. The food was great and the atmosphere.. Thank you again

Went for dinner with my nieces, one of who has special needs and doesn’t find it easy to sit still. We also took the dog and all of us were made to feel more than welcome from the minute we walked through the door. The staff were amazing, genuinely warm and friendly, we were asked where we would like to sit and if there was anything we needed to just ask. Food was perfect - hot, fresh and plenty of choice from lighter bites to full meals and reasonably priced. The surroundings are excellent, great ambiance, lovely bar and lots of different little sections whether you want to be in the main area or tucked away in a quiet corner there is something for everyone. Plenty of parking, lovely big garden, ample seating, and easy access for those who may need it. Highly recommend to everyone, just what we needed - Thankyou guys totally appreciate your warmth and kindness ☺️

Good service and good food, one waitress tried to bring the main course when the starter hadn't been cleared, but no big deal. A shame some of the desserts were not available from the menu. Still an enjoyable evening though thank you.

Yesterday was our first visit here and we loved it. We came to see the live band which was great and we recieved a warm welcome. We were served by Daisy who was lovely and friendly. We will definitely be coming back.

Had a warm welcome as soon as we walked in the pub. Lovely atmosphere. A big bonus you can take dogs (well behaved) . The outside area is kept lovely and clean with plenty of seating . Plenty of parking . Food was tasty and plentiful. We will be back with our dog very soon . Thank you.

The menu is great but unfortunately they didn’t have quite a lot of things on the menu. I ordered sirloin steak which they didn’t have so went for the 10oz ribeye instead which was quite expensive. It certainly wasn’t rare like I ordered but overcooked and no way was a 10oz steak . No pie for my dad and no sticky toffee pudding or chocolate brownies. You are not told this when handed the menu only when you come to order. I mentioned being a bit disappointed but seems this must be quite normal. The young staff serving were polite and no complaints there, but I feel something is going wrong here with how the business is being run. My parents come here quite regularly but will be looking for somewhere else to go in future as it has been the same situation on their previous visits.

This is a lovely pub they have some good staff very friendly and polite .it's good to go somewhere and have a good time .going back on Saturday to see the music.

The staff were really lovely and made us feel welcomed; but also made the effort to have pleasant conversation. A special shout out to Tricia who complimented my earrings! I had the vegan curry which was warming, flavoursome and comforting. I would come back again

Love it, we sat outside in the sunshine. Libby our waitress was incredible, it was busy and our lunches were served with hardly any wait. She is an asset to the pub. Food was great

Given cold steak (fridge?) and hard ciabatta bread..... and they would not rectify it! They said they had too many orders, so the kitchen was shut. (The other orders were from my party following the funeral.) The server went to take away my food and leave me with nothing to eat after driving over an hour to get there. I was flabbergasted. They thought it was a good service by not charging me for the food. Rectifying it would have been better customer service, and I would have been happier. I don't think I expected too much. Busy or not busy. I must say thank you to Patricia who is the best server there

Very successful birthday celebration lunch for large group of friends. We chose the set menu and the food and setting were good. Excellent service from Trisha which helped make the occasion. Our second such visit this year and it won't be the last.

Very nice family dinner out yesterday evening. Restful and welcoming pub. Efficient and courteous service. Scrumptious haddock fishcakes! Honeycomb ice-cream also very welcome on a hot evening.

Arrived hot and tired to this lovely pub. We were immediately welcomed in a courteous and efficient manner. Soon settled down to relax choosing from the wide range of drinks. We decided on the scrumptious haddock fish cakes, which arrived piping hot and beautifully presented! Afterwards the honeycomb ice cream washed it all down beautifully. We were happy sitting inside, but it's good to know we could sit outside on thec spacious patio or garden area if we chose to. Thanks for a lovely evening Three Horseshoes!

Was there last night with family and friends, Sanna came out with water and dog treats, for my friends dog, very friendly, will definitely be back. We didn’t eat so can’t comment on the food.

I only drop in occasionally, nice enough dog friendly pub with a huge garden, haven’t eaten so can’t comment but it looks and smells good.

The food was wonderful. The three horseshoes provides a welcoming experience with solid lighting and well though out interior design. Our server Tracy was wonderful and provided both good conversation and meal recommendations. All in all, great service and food. I plan to return soon!

Came here for an impromptu lunch with a few mates of mine, seemed busy and was expecting a 20 min wait for our food. Thankfully we were wrong and the food came out really fast. Our Coffees seemed to take a long time to come but our waiter did their best to remedy that. Pink haired person who seemed to always have an eye out on any thing we might have wanted, but not too much you want to be left alone. Wish we had a chance to try the starters. Special thanks to Adrian for cooking our meals and so many others in such fast pace, and the rest of the team.

Great experience. The menu was comprehensive and the venue was lovely. The staff went above and beyond and really added to our enjoyment.

I had the most amazing dining experience during my first visit to this restaurant. The meal was absolutely delightful, particularly the lamb chop, and it exceeded my expectations. The pricing was reasonable. The staff, especially Lucas, were exceptionally courteous and attentive. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner there.

Recently came in with my brother, sister and baby son. They were extremely accommodating, allowing us a larger table with space for a high chair. The service we received from the staff, especially our server Lucus was impeccable. So friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and extremely sweet with my son. The food we ordered was delicious and served promptly and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. We look forward to our next visit

Good bar food selection (tapas theme) at good prices. Plenty of house reds to chose from. Shame the weather was not good enough to sit outside as the patio looked very inviting.

When we arrived the welcome wasn’t very welcoming. After 25 minutes we had to ask for our order to be taken and get drinks. The server was very smiley and happy but kept forgetting to get things we had asked for. When the food eventually came it was nice. When we finished we didn’t stay for dessert as we were tied of waiting! Won’t be going back!

My girlfriend and I loved it. What an amazing pub and restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the sharing Camembert, and the signature burger. We'll definitely be back. We had the brie bites on a second visit. Outstanding!

We sat in the garden as the weather was good. Food delivered to our table graciously enough I suppose but no "bon appetit" type of stuff. Our roast was very tasty but due to the plates being so small it was difficult to manoeuvre the food without it slipping off the plate. Bigger plates needed for sure. Plates collected without a glimmer of "how was your meal" type thing. Room for improvement in these areas but the food itself was nice, which you would expect for the price as not exactly cheap

Food generally good. Some mistakes in orders but these were hastily corrected and wait staff handled it well. Liked the mac and cheese! Slight issue splitting bill at the end, but also resolved fairly easily!

It’s really quiet. I recommend it to everyone who wants to spend an hour in nature with their pets. Super place, drink beer with friends, and have dinner with their homeland.

Returned to Three Horseshoes after a recent good experience and was not disappointed. Served by Tracey again who as always was very pleasant, she seems to enjoy her job. The food was lovely (again). We will be back

We call into The Horseshoe one a year after visiting the cemetery in Hatfield Road. The food, the atmosphere and welcome are second to none. My only complaint is that I have to visit the gym after to help burn off the generous portions. The pub and restaurant are spotless. It is always a pleasure to visit for lunch.

Went Thursday lunchtime, for three of us. Revamped and under new management. Food was excellent, probably the best we have had there. Living just a few miles away we have been a number of times over the years Despite what others may say, we thought was reasonably priced compared to elsewhere these days - eating out has just got more expensive. But most of all the services was excellent, very friendly and very helpful, not only from the person who was specifically serving us, but everyone else working there. Thank you - and we be back, hopefully more often

This pub has one of the best chefs the food is amazing so much care is taken. The sticky chicken starter is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted! We were served by Tracey she was the b*ll*x lol everything came within minutes of asking for it she was so friendly! The manager at the pub was so nice nothing was to much trouble! The three horseshoes had been recommended, and i fancied a steak. Booking a table on the web pate was easy, and i was given a nice table. The staff were welcoming, and i was shown to my table and asked if i wanted a drink while reviewing the menu. The drink arrived quickly, but there was no pressure to order food. The staff asked about allergies, intolerances, and were clearly read to advise on which foods were appropriate. I just wanted the steak, and it arrived fairly quickly, it was a very nice piece of steak, well presented. There was enough for a good meal without being too much, Other than checking that everything was ok once, i as left alone to enjoy a really nice piece of steak. A little time after i finished the main course, i was presented with the pudding menu, who can resist? I could not… Again the pudding was big enough to be nice without being too much. Again, i was left to enjoy. Overall, a very nice experience.

Tricia was an outstanding host. Service was quick and friendly. Food was hot, fresh, well presented, and extremely tasty.( Recommend the fish and chips) The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. I will definitely be back more so in summer as there is a large garden area.

A very nice Sunday lunch, food was good, service was excellent Lucas was very attentive and looked after us very well . Our table was not quite ready for us when we arrived and Lucas kept us fully informed.

Unfortunately for this establishment, on our visit they kept telling us they didn't have this and they didn't have that......in both the drinks & food departments. We had booked and it was only 2pm there wasn't consistent table service which meant we had to go up to the bar order (& wait for our drinks to be poured) and carry them back. Disappointed at our experience given the good reviews we'd seen....food was OK, but nothing to complicated on sadly.

Had an absolutely incredible meal here. The food was DELICIOUS for a very reasonable price, and the staff were lovely (particularly Tracy). It was the perfect date night- can’t wait to go back soon!!
