The White Hart in St Albans

Be very aware, the manager is charging £50 for a third person in the executive double room with sofa bed (just to provide bedding) against any policies, even if confirmed via direct booking with the hotel. Never again.

It’s a pleasure to be recommended by this venue. They have a friendly team who go out of their way to make sure guests have the best experience. I would recommend to anyone looking for a wedding/party venue.

Location great, tiny car park. Meal booked for special day, very expensive for the standard of food served. I will not be going back any time soon.

Beware if a wedding reception is happening. Wild children running around screaming, fighting each other on the floor and using cushions from chairs to pillow fighting. Staff not interested to take control. Disgusting behaviour

Really nice old world hotel, great tiny bars and great staff, in the centre of town and good for the Saturday market and all the pubs and restaurants.

Extremely interesting place to stay full of history

Unfortunately this hotel has gone downhill somewhat since we visited 10 years ago. The rooms are in need of an update. It's a great location and the bar is very welcoming.

I’d like to say a big Thank You to Kate and her team for wonderful job looking after us and our guests for our wedding celebration. The food was excellent, the service was 💯. I could not have asked for anything more. If I could do it all again I would. 😊 the bed room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. I would recommended the white hart to anyone who is looking for a celebration

Stayed twice here. Lovely hotel with friendly personnel ! One of our rooms had a beautiful cathedral view !

The white Hart was amazing, Bed was really comfortable. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Clean hotel, clean rooms. I would 100% recommend if you’re in or around the area of St Albans

The staff on the Sunday were really good, very helpful. Sunday lunch, yummy 😋. Not too good if you have mobility issues as the stairs are a bit steep in places and ladies loo up a flight of stairs 😏 but otherwise I liked it 😀 👍

Lovely place stay staff all very nice

Good location but a really quite tired place. Rooms very simple and poorly furnished for the price. No ghosts and no bugs so that’s something :) nice enough staff but definitely needs a refresh across the board. Expensive for what it is.

Always stay here when I go to st albans it has great history

Took some drinks on the rear patio. Beautiful building. Wouldn’t return.

Had a quick couple of G&T’s here before going to Bishops cave & staff were very friendly. Didn’t stay here so cannot comment on rooms/food etc.
