Not sure how this place turns over enough to stay open. Really poor choice of beers available... The Amstel lager was dreadful... atleast 3 in my group complained and moved to the Fosters, which wasn't great either but was at least drinkable. The decor and seating is straight out of the 80's... toilets were the same and the entire place could do with a clean. A pub lost in time... lacking ambition, lacking direction and lacking any kind of personality or character. As one of only 2 remaining pubs in Hakin/Hubberston... there's potential for it to do well, but without serious investment and change - that's never going to happen. Maybe it's okay for Sunday lunch looking at the other reviews...

Table of 19 booked for over 2 weeks, we waited over 2hrs for our food to come which came out in dribs and drabs, I ordered the minted lamb and chips, I could count the amount of chips on both hands and the minted lamb steak was smaller than a fish finger and burnt to a crisp, absolutely disgusting, waste of money and would never go back, they should be ashamed making us wait over 2 hours for something that I wouldn’t even feed to my dog!!!

I said in my previous review I'd be back and I was. Still good value, fresh food and fast! There is a large choice of veg and after you've chosen your meat you can help yourself to as much veg and potatoes as you want. I would also say just how fast the service was (faster than any chain fast food place and better food too!). For us we went in, ordered drinks, shown to a table and were collecting our food all within a few minutes.

I'd like to say that the Sunday roast at the three crowns is my favourite place to go, the food is amazing and I've been to a lot of places. Just one tiny problem with the staff, they seemed in a way quite judgy, I felt eyes on me most of my time there, I tried to smile at one of the girls to break the awkward feeling I was getting but no, girl acknowledged my smile and looked away. We want to go for dinner there again but I'm afraid my boyfriend finds it too uncomfortable. We could see a huge difference in how the staff treated us compared to an older couple.

The Three Crowns has a traditional atmosphere that many pubs are lacking in the 21st Century. A pub of and for the community of Milford Haven, but outsiders, like myself, are just as welcome in the pub. A true working-class pub that serves excellent value drinks, what more could you ask for? However, if you like and are looking for champagne, caviar, and a classic orchestra, this pub is not for you.

Went for pub lunch with parents after a recommendation by a friend. They must have been leathered the entire time they were there though! The service was laughable. Out of 3 waiting staff not 1 knew what they were doing. One was telling us to sit in one place. Another telling us to sit some place else. Yes, this was booked in advance. Being on a crutch with limited mobility - being asked to navigate a set of steps every time put me in a bad mood. Then we were eventually seated down the steps away from where the carvery was and right next door to an open door so belted with a nice cold breeze. By this point none of us had the energy to move again having to go up and down the steps to top up any food we required. The food was passable but by no means exceptional and the price acceptable tho given the poor service I'd was loathe to pay anything at all. It seems the waiting staff were dashing round like headless chickens without a clear idea of what needed doing and when. Decor lacklustre and rowdy dudes right near out table. Definitely not another visit nor will it be recommended by us. Terrible.

To be fair, the Three Crowns is not the sort of pub we would normally go and eat in, but we wanted a Sunday Roast dinner and I am totally fussy about these. I was swayed by the fantastic reviews- with not one review less than very good, it just had to be checked out. We were not disappointed and I would highly recommend a visit. I always say a pub can never deliver a proper roast dinner as good as you cook at home. Well these guys proved me wrong! And the bonus of having it in this pub was the ability to have three meats at once! There was a big selection of vegetables and stuffing and a lovely gravy. I also had a slice of one of the best Black Forest gateaux i have ever had. It wasn't home-made, but the quality and flavour was still superb (I think everything else was home-made). And the roast potatoes really were excellent and up to my very discerning standards! The service also was excellent, they all had a lovely nature - great work ethic - and couldn't do enough for you. I'm going to be honest, the decor and ambience are not the best and there is a large tv in the next bar, but if you want great food and service then look beyond this. When we were given our bill it was so small we queried it as it was so small. Needless to say we felt robbed when we ate anywhere else that week, for no-one could match these guys for quality of food, service and value-for-money. Go and visit, you will not be disappointed.

They fitted us in at relatively short notice which was a bonus for me as I have M.E. and never know when I'm going to be feeling well enough or able enough to actually go out.Took my 6 year old granddaughter with us.The food is so tasty, they are not afraid to season the food which I think is what made it so tasty,I'm so fed up of bland tasteless mush.A really good selection of veg and a divine mash (which I ordered beforehand) the home made stuffing is delectable and my usual fussy granddaughter even commented how tasty it was.We didn't have desert that day but have been back since and had apple pie and cream and jam roll poly and custard, absolutely scrumptious. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and I lost count of how many times they each asked everyone if everything was ok.This is going to be a regular haunt for me mainly due to the seasoned food and overall friendliness.

Dropped by for Sunday lunch at short notice, did call first and they slotted us in. It was a very pleasant surprise, well decorated, roomy and airy. We were welcomed, seated and order taken within a very short space of time. Its a carvery lunch, we were served our meat by a very efficient chef, nothing was too much trouble - choice of 3 meats - then onto the veg which was plentiful, fresh and piping hot and at least 7 varieties(including cauliflower cheese), all of which were easy to serve yourself and this also included home made roasties (you can tell) and new potatoes. There was stuffing, there was yorkshire puddings, there were sauces to match your meat choice and lastly a very tasty gravy.Choice of around 7 or 8 desserts, our choice was cheesecake and gateaux which came with either cream or ice cream, a sweet and delicious ending to an extremely tasty Sunday lunch.Waitresses were pleasant and very accommodating, the team work of all the chefs, waitresses and bar staff was a pleasure to watch, you don't see that too often. We didn't have to wait, we were checked on to make sure we had all we needed, and there was no waiting at all. We were told they were short staffed that day - well fairplay I don't think any of the diners would have been aware as obviously the staff just stepped up to cover and did a great job.The clientele was families, older couples and even some male groups obviously there to have a pre match lunch all were clearly enjoying their Sunday roast. All this for £7.95 (one course) or £9.95 (2 courses), we will be returning, thank you Three Crowns.

The barman was very pleasant but the drinks a little on the pricey side. We were then shown to our table. To my surprise I was brought out a lovely looking plate of food, which also had roast veg. I was brought a vegan cauliflower cheese and also separate swede. It was all very nicely cooked but way too much for one person, so I brought the leftovers home. Just beautiful and romantic, couldn’t fault this restaurant, service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. The decor was original but with a modern twist. Would highly recommend this venue
