Great food, great service, great atmosphere!! Nice extra large fish, freshly fried and delicious chips. Parking spaces right outside shop. Great choice and variety of food from fish to pies and kebabs. Nothing is too much for them to do and they take cash and cards.

Underwhelming to say the least I feel ripped off. I asked for a large chips and a 3yr old would have been able to finish them. If you like being hungry still when you've finished then knock yourself out get to this chippy, if you want a decent meal then go elsewhere. Will not be returning again and will be telling people locally how pathetic it was.

The shop was busy but heavily staffed to ensure that no customer had to wait too long for the excellent range of food on offer. Testament to the very best takeaway in the area. I live some distance away but have never been disappointed by their delicious fish and chips and kebabs. My wife has just commented, "that's the best fish I've had in ages."

The food was quick and delicious. The fish and chips are always instant to be made. Some foods take 5 minutes but definitely worth the wait. The workers are lovely and always have a nice and welcoming tone and the food tastes amazing. Definitely my favourite chippy! Would recommend to anyone passing through or that lives in the Thorpe Hesley or scholes area!

From Cornwall I travel around the county with work and always looking for a good fish and chips. This place was great, very friendly staff, food was cooked to order, good size portion and was hot. The fish was really tasty. I will be using again next time I am passing without fail.

How anyone can give this a bad review - I come from miles away here when over with work which is once a fortnight over 2years. The Cypriot brothers are friendly and amazing, as are their highly efficient staff. Great family feel and really amazing tasty, chips, chunky cod, fishcakes and I have never had to wait more than 5mins. All I can say is Lewis Kala Cristouyenna mate 👍

Had a kebab today must have been re heated kebabb meat because it as just made me sick to my stomach not very good Only thing I have had today aswell not for me At all wouldn't go again

Been ordering about a year now and every time I get great service and food is always top quality. One occasion I had one item missing from my order, next time I went, they sorted it. What more do you need? Highly recommended.

All the food was so hot when we got back home to the other side of Barnsley Was well worth the journey. We will deffinetly be coming here again. All the kids loved their food.

Consistent quality of food, used to be good before modernising, now even better since they installed new equipment. Long ques at times should tell you how good to he food is.

I don’t live in the area so travel just for this chippy!! I love it the food is the best!! You can see how clean everything is, you are served in a speedy manner and with very professional and friendly staff, a special mention for Sarah too, she is always so friendly and warm, definitely recommend to anyone and everyone. When you purchase a fish it's more like a wale they are massive 1 large cod is big enough for 2 people and if you fancy a donner kebab you won't be disappointed.

Poor supper. No taste. Not impressed Hygiene standards of staff - non existant, no one who works with food should have false and/or painter nails. Will never visit again.

Excellent, best Fish and Chips we've had in years, staff lovely and friendly and open at tea time, highly recommend.

We had come here because our normal chippy was closed and this is the only one we knew and I'm so glad we did, I have to say without a doubt this is the best chippy we have ever been to. We got 2 fishcake butties, 2 large cod and 2 large chips 🍟 and everything was delicious, the fishcake was nice and crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. The chips were amazing, nice and soft. Another great thing is there's a car park and 4 customers at a time can go in, although there wasn't a queue when I visited at least you shouldn't be waiting too long to go in if there is. Will definitely be coming back here! 10 out of 10!

Excellent fish and chips, ask for a normal fish unless your a big eater. Very much worth the money, but once every so often you don't mind paying out. You'll love their fish and chips, plus you can get pies, sausages chicken kebabs etc.

I have IBS so I can’t eat gluten or dairy and when I asked if I could have the kebab meat the staff went out of their way to check if it contained gluten! Such good service and the food was delicious! Thank you so much !

The take away is nice been going to this chip shop for nearly 20 years. But sadly I have seen a sharp rise is prices. This could be due to the covid rise they was shut for a while in the first lock down, but overall a good take away

This is my local chip shop which means on lazy days when you can not face cooking this place being the only takeaway place other than the Chinese which only opens in the evening has meant this gets a deal more business than it probably should. Firstly let me say the staff are really nice and always talkative which is nice but the owner is gloomy and never seems to smile. But the main thing . . . the food. Some days I go in and it is a decent deal with no issue, but many others I go in and it is overly greasy which will upset my stomach. Its just so inconstant which is a real shame.

Always our first choice for a chippy tea.

The fish and chip were very nice too. The only problem is the customers who seem unable to need the ample signs, follow the rules and apply just a tad of common sense.
