Made two Sunday table bookings for two different groups of 6 and 8 people. Arrived for the first booking to find a sign in the window, 'closed due to staff sickness'. Received a text from the restaurant ten minutes later. Two weeks later we arrived for the second booking to find the restaurant was closed. No follow up communication received. We want to support local and new businesses but after this appalling experience we will not book again. Thank goodness for the lovely pub up the road.

A lovely little restaurant. A menu that’s small (a good sign) but covers everything & the 5 dishes we had were all delicious. An intimate but also buzzing atmosphere. I will be going back soon for definite.

Excellent food and drinks combined with a Fawlty Towers experience. There was no welcome upon arrival and we waited 5 minutes to be acknowleged despite being there being only two other customers in the bar area. Cutlery, pepper and salt were an optional extra as were side plates and napkins. Disconcerting to note all staff except one lovely waitress were gone by 8:40pm. We advised the waitress to shut the door for her own safety. We would love to see the restaurant succeed because they clearly have access to top quality ingredients Which they cook beautifully but the overall experience is not up to the standard of the food.

I like coming here to watch football and the lads behind the bar are always as sound as a pound. Today, I met Callum, who was cheerful, great company and had the right personality and charisma to run a bar. Give Callum the aux and let him play his music! He has amazing taste and it's what's missing in today's bars and pubs. Be different, be brave and see what happens.
