Thompson’s is an absolutely superb restaurant and we felt fortunate to dine here on our visit to the Island. Watching the chefs at work was a real bonus. We sampled the tasting menu. Each and every course was superb. Highly recommend you visit.

2 of us had lunch here recently and were impressed with the whole set up. Friendly and professional welcome, sat in pleasant bar area for a drink before moving into small dining area. Nicely decorated throughout, creating pleasant ambiance. Chefs cook in front of you and the young team produced an excellent range of dishes including delightful 'amuses bouches'. Chefs serve the plates and explain them in detail. Good wine list, with range of prices. Owner obviously very committed and enthusiastic about his 'product' and very interested in feedback. How long before it wins a Michelin star ?

29/09/2018: Very well run restaurant. Think owners name is Steve. Small menu but well cooked. Very busy night the we went.
31/10/2018: Our friends took us here for a meal. It’s in a line of restaurants and you wonder” why this one?” Well as locals they clearly know the best places to eat, and this is one of them. It’s on the main road and the exterior is like a shop front. But never judge a book, or restaurant, by its cover. We had Mullett. Not widely used in restaurants but the owner explained he was at the fish market that morning and purchased some. So glad he did. All 4 of us had one left any.

31/10/2018: Our friends booked a table here and to be honest on first glance was unsure. At 7.30pm the place was empty. The owner greeted our friends, who are regulars. His pride of the restaurant shows , with justification.
09/08/2018: From the moment we phoned to book a table we felt welcomed and this was continued by Ewa in person when we arrived. Delightful sophisticated food with a slight twist that we guessed to be Polish. The restaurant is fairly small and does not enjoy the stunning views of other Restaurants around, but more than makes up in quality and friendliness.
