Very good food although the menu is a little limited and the service is sometimes a bit slow it is still worthwhile visiting Sunday lunch is top notch and friendly staff come on down

Went for Sunday lunch. Great food. Decent price. The standard Sunday lunch is more than enough for me.

Had a swell time until I didn’t

Booked this place after a recommendation, what a mistake! Servers were great but thats all that was. Booked a late meal, but restaurant section was closed "due to no heating". Meal at 7pm food was awful except nachoes they were ok, however we were not even warned and suddenly lights went of and disco started. We paid and left will not be returning. Also the steak menu you see online is no longer used there, they use a basic menu now but are apprently unable to get into there own website to remove the old one. So if you want to have a pint and a loud disco great place, staff are nice...food is rubbish except the nachoes, very disappointed!!

Great place for a Tuesday salsa class

We went to get some food. The food was immaculate, the service amazing and the atmosphere very good too. Our food came out quick regardless of our large order.

Went for granddaughters birthday . Food was terrible . Think my quiche had been left in oven for too long . Hard and burnt

Food was very nice, we had the chicken cooked in a stilton sauce and it was lovely, not too overpowering with the cheese, just right and hubby had the Miller burger, god that is one large burger but went down well with him. Would highly recommend trying Thirsty Flame for a meal, we have never been dissatisfied when we have had a meal and prices are great value too.

Could cleaner. Bit more lighting would not be bad. Food ! Slipping a bit used to be very good.

Working away and this is this 2nd time I’ve been. Had food 1st time which was bob on went in the vault tonight talking to the younger crowd. So polite and respectful. It should be the norm but it isn’t nowadays. Bar staff and the people were so nice and friendly cant big up this pub enough

Went for a belated birthday meal first time in here and definitely recommend.

Hate leaving reviews full stop but would like to give people the heads up. Went to thirsty flame today, when we first got there the first thing I noticed is that it didn’t look like the pictures I’d seen online, plus it smelt like an old peoples home (not in a disrespectful way but I can’t explain the smell) so I had the hot dog (only one to choose from even though it says burgers and hot dogs) came bland as anything, greasy onions had to take them off. My partner had the blade burger, it doesn’t give much in the description but the picture shows it comes with coleslaw but it didn’t so that must be something you have to buy extra, so as it’s a grill place we thought it would be nice grilled meat, but she wasn’t happy with the meat as she couldn’t really understand the texture. The onion rings had no taste. They looked amazing, nice chunky crispy looking onion rings but they tasted great like they had been fried numerous times in oil. The staff even though they weren’t nasty seem to only really cater for regulars so made us feel a bit on edge. (Again not the staffs fault cos we didn’t say anything so they can’t change it if we don’t say anything) just an observation. Would like you to go try it if it’s your bag, we won’t eat there again but if you don’t try you will never know.

We've eaten here for years always top quality food and service! We've just had the mixed grill and 1867 burger and would highly reccomend both 👌👌👌

Had Sunday lunch with my disabled dad today. Absolutely lovely meal, nice pint to go with it. The staff were more than helpful to accommodate Us. Brilliant place to eat and drink.

Called in today on way home from Sheffield university open day... Food was excellent and proper portions...so much so that the daughter had to take her left overs home in a doggy bag .. Friendly staff and top grub 👍👍👍

The food is disgusting. But the drinks and the atmosphere is very nice. In summary, it is ok.

Visited with family. Excellent service from Rachel and Jack. They had a chip shop special on menu which sounded great - mini fish, scampi, battered sausage with curry sauce. Was really good and definitely worth a try. Kids had home made chicken nuggets and the Sunday lunch. All round was all really nice and value for money. Been going for years and food never disappoints! Also good to see a decent IPA on draught :)

Wouldn't recommend this pub at all either for food or drinks everything is microwaved or deep fried. The drinks where warm and glasses was dirty I have owned and run pubs over the years and have never seen such a diabolical management all competitions are fixed and the same people either win or that the 'Head Chefs' friends win it. Will be reporting these issues to food agency. Its about time this pub got shut down.

You want a good steak? Then this is the place to go. Outstanding chef.

what Can I say but wow - the whole night was amazing everyone made us feel so comfortable and at ease. The buffet we had was categorically the best buffet EVER!! From the sandwiches to the chicken tikka it was simply perfect. I would highly recommend and will definitely be booking back in again and again thanks again to all the staff at the Thirsty flame

Visited friends today and came to this friendly welcoming pub for Sunday lunch. Probably one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had for ages. Lots of fresh vegetables, roast potatoes and lots of thick roast beef. Landlady Jane is lovely too. Would definitely recommend this place for food, Been back again and what can I say. Fabulous new menu Great choice and Good value for money.

Absolutely disgraceful, visited tonight with my partner to visit our friend and my partner was verbally and physically abused my the manager called jack, for no apparent reason, well just because he had had too much to drink!

Sunday visit for Lunch. Very noisy lots of undesireables. Not comfartable at all.didnt look like anyone in charge. Somethings happened not nice wont be back

My wife and I were in the area and decided to pop in here for some food as the reviews were good. It's well-located and parking is available. The layout inside is decent and the staff are friendly. They were initially playing rugby on the big screen but switched it over to football. The food was OK, it filled a hole. Nothing to shout home about though.

Tried the Thirsty Flame at Brinsworth tonight for the first time, Eight of Us went & All of us thought the various meals we ate were excellent, & we have decided we will definitely eat their again, each meal worked out at around £8.50 to £9.50 & were excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

It was my first visit there and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The prices are good (the Guinness is excellent) it's a clean and comfortable place. Looking forward to going back :-)

Said steak restaurant on Facebook menu went for steak thay don't even serve steak said thay had a new menu and haven't took old one off Facebook. This was fathers day after we had booked a table and turned up disgusted. Full of rough heads outside as well

Fantastic Sunday Lunch, best pub lunch we have had in a very long time. Homemade Yorkshire Puddings, perfect stuffing and lovely tender, thick slices of roast beef. Trevor,Jane and the team offer a warm welcome. Give this place a try,you won't be disappointed.

This place is a hidden gem that no one seems to know about so I'm sharing this secret with you all as I was so impressed with the food and service. I been here with my partner for a meal over Easter. it was lovley Two for a Tenner u can't go wrong here! You might think because of the cheap price tag you may get poor quality food however this is not the case here! The food is top quality at a very good price! We had hunters chicken and pie of the day (steak and mushroom.) The pie was packed with meat and flavour the chips were lovley it all came out very quickly and was hot and tasted great my partner loved the hunters chicken too. The drink selection was reasonable but its the food I will be coming back for. Overall a great visit that I will be repeating sometime soon.

Been back again and what can I say. Fabulous new menu Great choice and Good value for money. We've booked for Mothers Day and really looking forward to it.

Place has adequate parking, easy to find, well sign posted. The building is split in two, a restaurant side and then a bar side. We went for the two for £10 menu option for a cheap meal. I had gammon, the wife had hunters chicken. Both meals were nice and arrived promptly. Overall good value for money for the food which was served.

Well we booked our Valentine's meal here and in all honesty it was one of the nicest meals we have had. 3 courses for £25. Could not believe the quality of the food and service. Camembert to start , perfect medium steak for main and black forest Sunday dessert. Couldn't finish our meals as we were so full. Bit rowdy in the main bar but the food side was perfect and Kelly looked after all the diners faultlessly. Thank you to the chef and to Kelly, a livel6 meal and evening.

Decent pint but certainly a youth club at night

Me and my partner came for a meal here and although there was a function on in the dining room we was still accommodated in the main pub area which was fine as staff had laid a table out in a quiet area. I ordered steak with stilton and peppercorn sauce and my partner ordered a mixed grill but was disappointed when a member of staff came and told him it wasn't available so went for surf and turf. I have to say when the food came we was amazed there was plentyful and wow what onion rings they were HUGE and tasted great, the food was hot and really tasty . The staff was pleasant we will definitely be coming here again there as soon many lovely things on the menu to try. Great thanks

Really good bar&grill. Staff were friendly and courteous. The prices were extremely good. The quality of the food was excellent as well. We both had the Wexford steak and really enjoyed it,the onion rings were next level. Our little lad had the chicken nuggets and wow actually home made and huge portion....will be coming back soon for sure

This was horrible the service wasn’t great but the food was worse went to use the baby changing room there was a changing table yet no nappy bin the bathroom was dirty and the food we ordered was chewy and taste less the pudding tasted gross was real not satisfied wouldn’t come here again I have been here a few times when it first opened and the food was out standing really unimpressed and even the Pepsi tasted cheap
