I have been trying for the longest time to get in touch the owner but obviously my messages and emails are not being reached. As a customer that’s has been purchasing from the establishment since inception, and have introduced friends and family there I am extremely disappointed in the service that I have been receiving for some time now. Specifically from the blond hair woman, who refused to give a name, and her customer service. I have sent an email and I have voiced my concerns enough is enough. I was just in the restaurant to see if any of the owners were in and as usual I was met with her disgusting attitude, all that can been seen on the cctv. She lacks decorum and simple manners to be a front of house staff. And out of respect of the owners and people that were sitting having their meals, and moreover, respect for myself, I refrained from acting in a manner that was unbecoming. The need for wanting to speak with the owner stemmed from the poor standard of food that I received via Uber eats and the telephone conversation I had, I believe was with the same lady as her mannerism over the phone is uncanny to what I just encountered. This was my go to place as I am a fussy/picky eater and it is absolutely disappointing that I will have to cease customs with them because of the deplorable customer service from that I have been receiving. Unacceptable. P.s the food in question is below the standard that has been set from the beginning.

I found this place on Uber eats. Really good options and good prices for the portion sizes. I was really impressed with the quality and the tastiness of the pork souvlaki, offering a three skewer kebab box. The salad was just under a tenner, which I think is a little steep.

The food here is amazing! Absolutely delicious, generous portion sizing, and my boyfriend and I come here very often. If you love greek food this is the place for you.

We had a diner on Saturday evening. It wasn't busy, place was pleasant. Fried calamari where a disappointment, chewy with low amount of flavour. Shared meat plater for two people was great. Outstanding part was greek sausages with a herbs. Service was flawless. Overall we had good meal.

When you walk into a restaurant and the waitress does not understand 'wheat' and asks why you want to see the allergy book, you walk out and never return. I was surprised at the lack of knowledge by her, and disappointed I could not even speak to the chef because he did not speak English. They need to learn more about allergies and how to communicate properly with customers. Anyone who handles food should do their food safety training first. Customers have a right to see the allergen book, worrying that she asked why.

10/10 always coming back when missing this delicious Greek cuisine. Lovely stuff!

We had mixed skepasti and stuffed cheese bifteki. Skepasti was essentially fat and oily doner meat in pita, with close to no salad and dip. Dry and salty. Bifteki was the low quality fat minced meat stuffed with cheese. It had the supermarket frozen food taste, I would not recommend it. Wine was probably not to bad but it’s hard to say, as it was served to us warm. We sat outside as inside was too how. We paid circa £45 for two people.

She said she doesn’t have time to wait she need to order quickly . Jokers at counter even the kitchen staff confused what is the order. Their menu names are confusing . They want to do the job order quickly but we have waited for 30 minutes to deliver staff are hanging around

I had been told by my friends about this restaurant that it is very good. And when I went on vacation to London, it goes without saying that I and my family visited it. It was really the best authentic Greek restaurant I've had. And the staff was very helpful. Well done to them, it is understood that we will go again as soon as we go to London again. South Street Tha Yummy Greek staff is very dirty, order is ready but still they don't give it, all staff work very slow, staff is very rude, no manners to talk here. And they never give order on time to Uber driver

I’m very upset about how they treated me inside. I’m doing delivery food job. The restaurant have them policy to keep the delivery drivers at the door like a dog. I understand that. But sometimes I go in the restaurant to eat because I like the food. For example, today I was sitting relax at the table waiting to be served , and a member of the staff asked me ,,what are you doing here?” I told her I just want to order something. She said ,,aaa aha ok “ but I was expecting to be treated like a human being not like that. I don’t even know if I can come back there. If I will, I like to be client not a dog like you think. Change the policy. This is the wrong one.

Visited here with Family. We aren't from the area so needed somewhere relaxing to go. Certainly picked the right place, it was really lovely and clean Staff were friendly and attentive. Most of our food was absolutely deliciously, I was dissapointed with the Moussaka as assumed it would be cooked fresh, it tasted like it had been warmed in a microwave, it wasn't very hot and the bechamel was set like cold custard. The Souvlaki was amazing and the pork Gyros was great too. We would return and eat there again, I will order Gyros this time. Price was great too, very reasonable for the 5 of us. Great to go somewhere that isn't burger and chips. Highly recommend

My family and I come here on a regular basis. The food and service is always excellent. Came today with my son to celebrate greek Easter and we had the goat and lamb on the spit special. Very tasty and filling and service was great as always. Best greek restaurant in Romford.

We have ordered from The Yummy Greek and I guess it was a mix up with the order and we only got half of it. The staff was so nice, they called me and delivered it themselves, even gave us extra deserts on the house. The food is always so good and I appreciate the staff that works hard every time to provide a nice service.

On 22.4.2024, Monday, my wife and I stopped by this Greek restaurant in Romford for dine-in lunch. At 15:15pm we have read the menu outside, before going in, and photo'ed the advertised "The Yummy Hour 15% Off Dine-In Monday-Thursday 3pm-6pm (Please see the attached photo). Sat inside and ordered among others, 1 Chicken Souvlaki and 1 Pork Souvlaki. Several minutes later, they brought us 1 Chicken GYRO and 1 CHICKEN GYRO. We informed the waitress, which politely she understood the two mistakes on our order. She told us that she could change the order and bring us the correct one and also mentioned 3 times that we will be given a discount too. With that, we accepted to have the food they mistakenly brought to us. Asked for the bill and paid, only to realize later that the advertised 15% Discount was NOT given and NO other discount was given for the mistakes made by the restaurant. Clearly this made us both feel like we have been lied to. Please see the receipt and draw your own conclusions. How can we recommend this place? We do feel that others should be warned before going in or ordering.

As always The Yummy Greek delivers the most amazing food. I don't get a chance to come here often but whenever I'm in town this is the place I choose to eat. The only disappointing thing is I could force myself to possibly eat any more. I always leave full and satisfied. Well done.

Went their a couple of weeks ago forgot to put my review. Came in no one even bothered to look to serve... Even after sitting down at the table for 5 minutes... One waitress looked and looked the other way. No one coming to ask if I need assistance... Certainly need to work on that here... Treat every customer the same and don't pick and choose which customer you want to help... As this is exactly what was happening! Certainly over priced for what was given the food was quite dry... Their is 100 percent definitely better Greek food than this place... Won't come back again waitresses pick and choose who they give good customer service to on who walks through that door because I evidently saw that with my own eyes.. Overall won't be coming back again... Thought to try a Greek place... Wasn't the best

Was my very first trying this place and I left disappointed. Wasn’t asked if I was eating in or taking away and just assumed I it was a takeaway. I had ordered the mixed gyro. Food lacked flavour and was very dry. I had asked for extra tzatziki on the side but they failed to mention that it would cost me an extra £1.50 for the smallest pot of tzatziki until I had finished everything; I don’t like when restaurants do this at all. The atmosphere felt a little judgemental. Feel like my money would have been better spent at the local kebab shop.

Service needs improvement as some staff members pay more attention to uber driver collection then sitting guests and keeps forgetting what is asked for. Food waiting time was 45 min, and starters arrived together with mains; although all was tasty, preference would be to have not chips served in every dish, but add vegetables instead.

Won’t be coming here again. Food was average, could have gone to the local kebab van and got better food. Service was shocking. Waited over an hour for the food and when it arrived the staff were extremely rude. I’ve got no problem waiting for food, especially when it’s busy but when the staff are rude and obnoxious, it’s unacceptable. When the food did arrive, it was cold. The beer was warmer than the food! Avoid at all costs.

I have been there many times, especially on name days. .but today, as my birthday, I had a very unpleasant experience Children ordered separately from adults When the food was brought, I said that the children did not order what they received Their food was thrown on the table, without admitting that they were wrong Then they told them not to take the children's food because they had eaten a little of it The lady actually pretended not to hear and put the leftovers on top A place where I loved going, but where I won't go again Congratulations to the manager who doesn't know how to talk to customers🤢

This place is by far the best Authentic Greek restaurant in Essex! I recently visited Yummy Greek for a meal as it was my wife’s birthday. I must say I was so impressed with the service and friendly staff! The quality of the food was 2nd to none and the service was great, all around a really good night out!

Cant lie. It is expensive for a wrap but honestly its the only 1 that actuallly is closer to authentic greek taste. Anywhere else we tried was a mix of cypriot and Greek cousine

Food was cold even after being heated up again was only warm in certain places... Still had pay even tho I sent the meal back only offered 10% off the bill then 20 min after straight to the toilet... was my daughters birthday what a disappointment

Dissatisfied ans disappointed. I just ordered chicken gyros wrap and chicken gyros plate from The Yummy Greek, Romford, where few months ago i've dined in and was happy with the delicious food served on site. However, this evening, the experience was not pleasant. The Greek gyros is famous for its tzatziki souce, which unfortunately was not even part of neither the chicken gyros wrap, nor the plate for total of £27. On top of this the food was cold upon delivery. I will stop ordering from this place.

First time here, we're not local, looking for something nice to eat and found Yummy Greek. We are frequent visitors to Greece because we love the food and we certainly weren't disappointed here. Lovely saganaki and baked feta to start, the really good gyros. Prices not too bad either. Would definitely come back if we are ever in Romford again.
