Fantastic Sunday roast - beef served pink, delicious veg and yorkshire pudding all perfectly seasoned and arguably the best sticky toffee pudding I've had in years. The mister had the veggie option, which was a gorgeous mushroom nut roast - it reminded me of a tasty peppery black pudding, but obvs veggie. Yum.

First through the door this lunchtime at midday. First time here, and impressed by the venue and the welcome. My wife and I visited to try out the pensioners haddock and chips meal deal . The meals came promptly and were well presented. They came with mushy peas and tartare sauce. I had a pot of tea for one and my wife had a cappuccino. Both meals were lovely, and the haddock especially was well cooked with a very good batter. The deal was £10 each, including the drink. An exceptional deal !! Thank you .

Steak Night: perfectly cooked Rib eye steak with Chips, Salad and Peppercorn sauce. All really tasty and delicious. £20. Staff attentive but not fussy. Drinks and desserts (Biscoff and dark chocolate tarte with mint and lime sorbet, and apple and mixed berry crumble with custard) were extra but reasonably priced too

Whilst a little off the beaten path, Tileyard North is a great up and coming venue for 2024. The Yorkshire Brasserie is the crowning glory! A great place for a special bite to eat, in luxurious surroundings both architecturally and decoratively. The meals served are exquisite, fresh masterpieces. The service by the team was exemplary: quick friendly and chatty without over intrusion. Very accommodating to our requirements too. My favourite so far is the Korean BBQ Crispy wrap!

A fabulous hidden gem! Having been to the Yorkshire Brasserie for a meal before, we decided to celebrate Mother’s Day here this year. The restaurant is decorated beautifully given a modern, stylish feel, perfect for smart casual outing. As we arrived to the restaurant, we were seated straight away, the staff were really friendly and made sure to cater for us promptly, keeping the busy flow of the restaurant running smoothly. There was a set menu with two courses for £27, or three courses for £33, which I think is a reasonable price for a good restaurant, especially on a Sunday. We opted for two courses, I chose the chicken roast dinner and the vanilla cheesecake. The food came really quickly and was beautifully presented, I really like that this place has an open kitchen too, always good to know that your food is being made to a high standard! The cheesecake tasted absolutely amazing! From start to finish, our experience here was brilliant, it was the perfect choice for a Mother’s Day lunch and I’m sure we will be back again soon!

Took my mother and family here gorgeous mothers day. The service was appalling the food was warmed up in a microwave and not very nice. When we asked for dome cauliflowe cheese what came was like baby sick and it was still frozen in the middle. The cheesecake was disgusting I sent mine back and asked for biscotti but it never appeared. Keep well away from this place as it was not worth the £33 per head they charged.

This is a really nice place in a lovely location with good quality food (although a little more costly than its competitors). We were advised to park on nearby surrounding streets but not the yellow lines - there aren't any parking places nearby so why not just tell us ! ! Overall it was enjoyable experience although I would advise serve on hot plates because the food goes cold, offer horse radish and extra gravy without customers having to wait to catch attention and the ask.

Me and my partner went for a valentines dinner. The main dinner menu has changed and there is more variety to choose from. There was a sharing menu option which was a nice touch for any couples on a date night. Pricey but i didnt see any other diners choose this so i cant comment. Both my partner and I had the prawn/scollops starter. There was some chilli heat and rich in garlic oil. For a starter it was on the small side, maybe 2-3 prawns and 2 scollops. There was a big chunk of ciabatta served on the side, which was out of proportion of the main event, however the overall presentation was good. I wouldnt order it again, although the cooking was fine, it didnt hit the spot for the price. For main i had the Fish Pie and seasonal veg. The veg was well cooked, still had a slight bite to it. It did lack seasoning though which was common throughout both my partners and my main meal. The fish pie was ok but the sauce was really watery, however you could taste the white wine and cream but it just didn't have enough body and flavour . It meant the mash on the top disappeared in to the dish which resulted in a sloppy texture. Proportion of the fish pie for the price was slightly out, i had a couple of pieces of salmon, 2 prawns and a piece of white fish which i think was cod. The cheesy topping on the mash was nice. My partner had the chicken, which he did enjoy but said there wasnt much flavour and lacked seasoning and body to the sauce that came with it. We love the venue, the table staff were ok but did forget a few small things which were soon rectified with a prompt. I really want this place to do well and hope the constructive feedback will help the venue. We will be back to try other things on the menu so over all 6/10

We were here as a group of 10 adults. Really looking forward the meal. The setting and atmosphere was good nice modern and comfortable. The starter courses were mice. And the mains were just problem after problem. 2/4 lamb dinner were just pure fat, one lamb dinner didn’t come as putting the gravey on the side was too hard. After asking to swap the lamb for meat on one dinner it was returned from the kitchen saying it was lamb shoulder and this is how it was! Clearly this isn’t acceptable and we were asked to change the meal, although we just wanted a bit better meat. The chicken wings as part of the the main, the sauce was just burnt to the bottom of the pan. Sauces to accompany the meal took 5 requests to get. The manager tried to correct it and apologise however was met by really hostile staff in the kitchen which was clear to see by our table and the restaurant. Extremely disappointing. A few really great friendly staff members completed over shadowed by arrogant chefs. We won’t be retuningz

Sadly my party and i had a very poor Christmas sitting the food was awful. My dad had soup to start which was stone cold in comparison to others served at the table. My husband ordered the duck breast that was inedible and didn’t resemble duck. We had 3 vegetarian dishes between us for the main that again were not as expected; there were no roast potatoes or salsify on the plate as described on the menu, instead we were served dry mashed potato and a neon yellow sauce which tasted oily rather than of tarragon as described. I could not taste Wensleydale in the pastry filling as described which was undercooked. My mother had requested vegetarian gravy with the mains which she had confirmed ahead but there was no option offered so her food was dry. We had pre booked our meal as requested, however we were informed after waiting a very long while for dessert that the restaurant had run out of creme brûlée, so 3 of us went without dessert. It makes little sense how that happened. We did not inform our server of our disappointment on the day as it was not her fault and we appreciated the young girl had given up her Christmas Day. But I did contact the restaurant following the day considering the £500+ bill we were left with was very difficult to swallow, but I’ve received no reply. In response to the restaurant reply: yes I absolutely want a refund I said that in the email. As you’ll read in the email I sent i’m also waiting for response to a separate email sent 3 times over the course of over a month. After sending the second email about Christmas Day I then waited 3 weeks for a response before making a public review. I hope no one else experiences such poor customer service. What a terrible response trying to deflect from the issue.

The food was superb and the service excellent, staff were attentive and informative without it feeling uncomfortable. Christmas day 3pm sitting. Disappointment does not cover how my husband & I felt during & after our dinning experience at the Yorkshire Brasserie. First course - 1.soup served luke warm 2. Duck not edible tasted of lard, staff informed said they would mention it to the chef, no feed back given. Main course both meals served luke warm Desert 1.Cheese board ok Coeliac Choc truffle looked like a tiny chocolate brownie thrown onto a plate no cream /icecream or festive decoration. Complained about the luke warm food & was told it was because they were serving so many people, cant understand why that was my problem, not offered any compensation or apology. Spent £200 absolute disgrace. Unable to find your email address so posted on here.

Honest review from a couple who eat out regularly. Welcomed to the table and asked what drinks we wanted, I explained a wine menu would be helpful. We were given a food menu and then wine menu. Two minutes later the head of restaurant came over and gave us the Christmas menu. We ordered a bottle of wine (might add they held a good selection of wine). Asked at same time if we wanted to order food. I explained we haven't even looked yet. We ordered king prawns and the Yorkshire pudding trio to start followed by steak and lamb shanks. Wine arrived, young gentleman 'plonked' it on the table lid insitu and walked off. My husband opened the wine and poured glass each. Such poor service. The starters arrived, they were ok.... Yorkshire puddings cold and prawns had never seen a king in their life. Waitress asked if ok, I explained it was 'ok' her response ' hope your main is better'.... Main arrived, my husband had asked for steak medium, arrived cold and tough and well done. My lamb was warm but mash potatoes was stone cold and gravy had never seen heat. No one came to ask if everything ok so I took the opportunity to approach the head of restaurant. He promptly took it away and apologized, asking if we wanted the chef to re do our meal. We said yes. 10 minutes later the head approached and said unfortunately there was no more lamb shank, would I like to pick something else. After browsing the menu I replied no thank you .... He then asked if we wanted dessert- why would we want dessert if we hadn't had main. I explained to him the poor service of wine and the cold and 'ok' starter. He wasn't remotely bothered again asking if we wanted dessert. We sat for 20 minutes noone approached us, so we went to pay for our wine- we had drank this. To be greeted by a bill for cold starters and wine, I explained I wasn't willing to pay for the starters as they were poor and I had mentioned my dissatisfaction. The head waiter continued to argue and explained we need to pay as we had ate the yorkshire pudding . I was disgusted by his attitude and behaviours. Wasn't willing to reduce the bill and willing to make a scene in the restaurant. The restaurant has potential unfortunately poor service and cold food as mentioned by many other guests. I will be raising a formal complaint due to the poor service, attitude of staff and the food. Overall a really poorly experience. The venue I might add is stunning and wine selection very good.

Oh dear. Not your finest hour! High hopes given this rather chic location in a redeveloped waterfront/mill location. Friday evening and less than a quarter full, at a guess. No specials option tonight (which my wife had on a previous visit) and so menu was quite limited. Friendly staff but not good start- pot of olive oil with my bread starter was spilt when I was being served, covering my side of the table. I was quick enough to avoid getting covered myself! The mackerel 'mousse' was more like a coarse pâté with fine bones included. The battered fish was served on a 'bed' of mushy peas which tasted straight out of a tin (unlike one of the photos here) resulting in soggy batter. Yum. No crème brûlée option so had the cheesecake instead . The base was rock solid and the topping was tough and dry. Mentioned this and was informed that the previous dessert chef wasn't any good and this was one of her offerings!! So why still serve it?? Our table and those nearby had some DIY bolts in their bases to stop the tables wobbling. Effective but the protruding metalwork is just waiting to trip/cut/injure someone before long. I hope things improve!

Constantly had to chase up staff for anything we required. This place is brilliant , the food is authentic & seasoned to perfection. I’ve only recently discovered this place and I will be back every week! Mussels are to die for, not to mention the juicy steak. I could go on & on. This isn’t a place for people who have no taste or knowledge about food. Poor experience and service received. Didn’t want to share publicly as it’s a new restaurant so sent privately but was ignored by management after receiving read notification. Such a shame as the decor is lovely and could be a great place. Visited on Sunday as a group of 4 spent £130 so was very disappointed. Very poor hygiene measures followed Eg chef doesn’t wear a hair net and her hair extremely long wafting in food and constantly touching it. Hands not washed meaning cross contamination after touching hair face ears. Everything was done by hand which you wouldn’t mind if it was clean. One of the chefs kissing the kitchen porter whilst serving up food (it’s an open kitchen for all customers to view come on) . All waitresses wearing acrylic nails whilst been involved in food service. Service extremely poor no one in charge of the restaurant at all. All waitresses stand at the chefs counter talking and you have to ask to be served drinks etc. Your plates are cleared at your table (all left over food scraped onto one plate before been taken away 🤮) Overall really unpleasant visit would not recommend.

Upon our first visit to the Yorkshire Brasserie, the high hopes of delightful food and laughter were awaited. The location, adjacent to the Hepworth, boasts a delightful refurbishment of the old canal warehouses The menu offers a broad range, catering to a wide array of palates, even those on the fussier side. The early bird menu, which promises value by including a drink for a two-course meal, unfortunately, gets muddled in its offerings. Almost every item comes with a supplement charge, turning what should be a simple selection into a potential pitfall of pricey mistakes. While the starters left an impressive mark, with the mackerel pate standing out as a genuine taste sensation, the main courses were a mixed bag. The burgers and roasted cauliflower lived up to the expectation, but the fish and chips fell short. The fish had an odd overbearing flavor, giving an impression of being previously frozen or having a washed-out taste. The chips were the same, possibly due to the oil used for frying. However, the main issue arose during our feedback session. When our concerns about the fish and chips were raised, the clearly inexperienced manager's response was far from professional. Instead of addressing the feedback, she implied that our taste might be compromised due to potential medication changes. As a group of vibrant individuals in our 50s, this was not only deeply offensive but also inappropriate. A simple apology or a gesture of compensation would have sufficed. Given our experience, we won't be returning to the Yorkshire Brasserie. The ambiance and some of the food might appeal to many, but customer service, in our opinion, was sadly lacking.
