This is an excellent chippy. The food is always fresh and tasty and nothing is ever greasy. Great burgers and awesome goujons. Friendly and polite staff. Best chippy I have ever tried in Belfast.

Love this place brother recommended me to here .mum loves the fish she always ask well done and they do it as requested which is hard to get now days .light batter pure white cod chips also lovely. Tried the york house kebab tonight was beautiful. Wrapped really well so soft not dry ask for the salad separately which was in lovely little container highly recommend this little place can't fault it so far keep up good service means a lot as always will return counter staff lovely so helpful for any requests you have thanks will defo return 10/10 all round I took pictures pity nowhere to upload wrapped in paper then tin foil then white paper so still warm after a 10 minute drive home

First time I used the York..well pleased with food definitely be using them again mixed steak kebab was very good!!!!

Drove from Dundonald as we had heard that kebabs were lovely and they didn't disappoint. 2 Steak Kebabs and a chip with kebab sauce and they were unbelievable. Great portion size and great taste and very friendly staff..We'll defo be back!!!

Omg best chippy about their burgers especially are amazing and we love the kebabs.

It's a take away place so not much atmosphere. Food is amazing and so much. We got the munch box. Grilled chicken kabob, lamb and chicken Tikka with chips, onion rings and sausages. So. Much. Food.

The lack of basic foodstuffs, such as potato scallops or scotch pies on the menu let's this take-away down unfortunately. The cod bites are gorgeous! The quality of cooking is superior to most we've encountered in Northern Ireland or Scotland! 👍😁😍

Very disappointed with the chippy to be honest. Chips were all ends looked like they were lying all day tasted horrible. Battered sausages were like rubber also very little curry sauce on the curry chip . So disappointed for what we paid for it ended up in the bin. Sorry but won't be back to the York again.😔

Excellent chippy. Good old traditional fish and chips, no frozen tripe. Staff are friendly and nothings a problem for them. Portions great, bang goes the six pack😱 Been back twice👍👍👍👍👍 Update, preordered a fish supper and fish wasn't up to usual standard. Mentioned it to the girl serving who apologised and said she would take it on board. Didnt stop me scoffing another fish supper though. P.s love the staff girls serving are down to earth no waffling Would still recommend.😋😋😋

Won't be back. 2 seconds of walking out. No idea of social distancing when a child is about but stuff the rest of us. Who cares about the food when you might be Ill the following week.

Plenty of choice and half decent prices. Loses a star for not being amazing quality. Update 31/1/21: Loses another two stars for prices. A large chip now costs £3.70! Unbelievable.

Bought 2 fish suppers . Massive portions and absolutely delicious. Onion rings were possibly the best ive ever had. Best chip shop I've been to, award winning food in my opinion.

They got delivery order wrong and customer service awful. Chips were cold and tasteless. Not the best.

I always get it a york because its really nice and quick but everytime I order one then always forgot one thing, it may be a full chip or a tub off sauce, need to start putting everything in the order before delivery it

The mixed steak kebabs on naan bread with house sauce are beautiful.

Dropped in for a quick tea before getting the boat. Shop was busy but we were served quickly. Food was freshly made and good value. Sausage supper had plenty of tasty chips and sausage were yummy. Chicken burger was to die for. Highly recommended.

Use to have a bad name but its spotless now and I've always enjoyed there food deliveries

Great value for money and large portion sizes. I would recommend you make an appointment at the gym for after your meal as you will be stuffed!. Food is tasty though and the flavours are unmatched by any other local kebab shop that I have tried so far. Prices are decent...delivery has always been earlier than expected and the driver is usually pretty friendly. One time, a driver I had not seen before was complaining that I only tipped him £1.50 for a £8.50 bill. To me, that put me off so I haven't ordered for a long time. A driver gets paid by the delivery charge so to complain directly to the customer that the tip is too little is bad etiquette. Don't let it put you off though. I have picked my orders up myself the last few times and haven't seen that particular driver since so he may not work there anymore.
