Seed in Belfast

I don't get why there is an online ordering system where the food is not ready at collection time. 3rd time in a row now. Food is nice but an order for collection at 12.30 should be ready at 12.30. I ask where it is and told to wait a few minutes. 3 people in queue being prioritised over an online order makes zero sense. People in and out quicker than me who ordered in advance. Ridiculous.

I'll be honest, I wasn't entirely thrilled when my partner suggested a salad bowl for dinner but good Lord, that was delicious. I had the Katsu chicken bowl and it was so flavoursome, really low in calories and obviously healthy too. Will be back for sure!

I thought my order was quite tasty. I started feeling unwell several hours later but thought nothing of it. It is now 3 days later and I'm severely unwell. This place has given me the worst food poisoning I've ever had in my life, In fact, it's so extreme I didn't believe food poisoning could do that to a person in the first place. I'll never be ordering from here again. I am now on my way to a&e as I'm a breastfeeding mum.

2x vegetarians + 2x carnivores shared breakfast here. It was wonderful. The smoothies were to die for and the breakfast and build your own bowls were soooo... Tasty. Reasonable prices too.

Extremely healthy and cheap breakfasts/lunch options with tasty menus. I had I egg muffin, satay bowls, and almost every other bowls in the menu card and found each of them mouthwatering and filling..highly recommended

The salads here are so so good. Extremely healthy portions and great quality ingredients. My only plea, please bring back the previous goats cheese salad recipe, the sweet basil is just not the same! 😭

Look at the photo below was supposed to have spinach and charred steak that I paid extra for. Knew something was off when I opened it. £20.50 including delivery for that daylight robbery. Stay away from seed particularly poor service when they know it’s a just eat order because it’s like a common loophole nowadays that lets staff throw something out the door without any consequence

We had never been here before. We instantly felt the friendliness of the staff that sets the vibe for any restaurant experience. The chipotle chicken wrap was excellent as well as the banana bread. Only criticism would be to source sugar free açai.

Got the buffalo bowl with ans extra goats cheese and was incredible. So filling it got me 2 portions! Best salad bowl I’ve ever had.

Third visit now. You can order set pieces such as their Roasted Feta bowl. They did allow me to change from kale to rocket. Things like almonds and broccoli are roasted giving extra flavour. Plenty of choice such as red onion, caramelised beetroot, grains, shredded carrot etc Dressings are great. My favourite is Balsamic and honey. Polite and efficient staff. Small sitting area but doesn't feel cramped. Stylish Nordic interior design. Definitely worth a visit and you feel you've eaten healthy without skimping on taste.

Excellent as always. I had a feta cheese salad bowl (V). Very generous portion. As another reviewer states, just wish there were more of these types of place in NI.

Nice and quiet place. Food options were healthy and different. Hard to find nowadays anything unique in Belfast. This place is one of them. We had Mizo+carrot soup which is a weird combination, but it surprisingly worked well. Had also unami mami and honey chicken, they were both very nice and healthy. Fresh veggies everywhere. We'll be back, please keep up the good service. Only negative is that there isn't too many seating options and they're arranged in a way that you don't have much privacy. Update: been here 3 more times since. The food is CONSISTENTLY good, fresh and tastes good. We'll be back. Many times!

My wife and I adore the fantastic and healthy food at this place. We enjoy trying out various dishes on their menu, and the prices are quite reasonable. We highly recommend adding it to your list of places to visit. It's definitely worth it!

Salads made quick and were good. Staff was rude, one of them shouted at me twice to delete photos I had taken of her (I hadn’t taken any of her - just the salad toppings). The whole interaction was really weird and agro - ruined the experience

got the steak salad. the meat was one of the most gorgeously cooked and seasoned pieces of meat unfortunately the salad items were substandard and the mushrooms were so slimy that they caused illness. such a shame.

Absolutely love it here did make lovely salad bowls and healthy shakes and have gluten free treats.

Went up just yesterday with my mum there whilst we were out round town!!Got a kiss bowl with spiced noodles, sweetcorn and roasted beetroot!!Was actually gorgeous would definitely recommend, Had great service too and so easy to just check in to no hassel or none of that!!Love it here 💗

My patience has run out with Seed. These have been my experiences: Pros- atmosphere and expedient service, some pleasant employees, and the nice concept of healthy, customisable dishes. This was reason enough to be a regular. On the flip side, my negative experiences are adding up to never want to go there again. I was happy to ignore the dozen times I’ve gotten undercooked sweet potato and rock-hard stale rice, but this is now the third time I’ve gotten mouldy ciabatta from here so I have to say something. You’d think for the price they would care enough about their clientele to pay attention to the freshness of their food or at least give some substantial remuneration for the disgusting shock of eating mould. I wouldn’t even care as much if I wasn’t feeding this to my toddler. Unacceptable. The pictures included are of the bread in my lunch today. It tasted so off, I should have known before eating half of it!

If you're looking for a healthy option this is the place for you, fresh salad made up the way you like it. I had a fruit smoothie and it was fantastic. A lot of take out and not many people in.

First opportunity to visit Seed today and we went for breakfast! 🤗 My only critique would be if you are sitting in to have proper bowls, plates and cups. However maybe it just caters for take away, didnt take away from the experience.

Far too expensive. Staff were unfriendly. Very dirty cutlery!!!!!! Went in may 2023 and my daughter told me she went in late august. She said a Rude girl served her and she was very unpleasant. Food was very bland and had no star quality. Had a katsu bowl and could have sworn there was a hair in it!!!!!!!!! Very overrated and not nearly worth the money. Rice was so hard and were like little stones.

Just happened upon Seed and was bowled over by my lunch. Soup and small burrito combo-less than £8- and it was fresh, so tasty and felt healthy. Wish there were more of these quality lunch spots in NI.

Best salad I have ever had. Ordered the same meal twice in a row with my sister and it was the highlight of our time in Belfast (dramatic yes, true also yes lol) only issue, we had one long blonde hair in the salad. Kinda gross but then again, I took it out and just kept eating the salad. I want this restaurant in Edinburgh!!!

The food is nice but it is an absolute rip off, price wise. I paid over £17 for falafel salad, not even any meat in it. I don't know how they expect anyone to justify that price. I actually got it for takeaway so it wasn't even sit in.

So lovely to have a healthy and fresh option in Belfast. Food always tastes amazing, packed with care and is available on time. We also got a lovely cookie as a treat tonight which was delicious 😋

Ordered a couple of salads from Seed today for the first time, and it certainly won't be the last. The salads are incredibly tasty, generously portioned and great value, chai latte also worth a mention!

Salads are high quality and staff are nice but price increase after price increase with an added "service charge" for online ordering is starting to alienate me. Recieved marketing email today about new products and opened their site to see every salad had a 20% price increase alongside it... Store never seems busy when I visit and I can't imagine too many people in NI are wanting to pay almost a tenner for salad very often especially in the current climate

Visited their Belfast store on the Lisburn Road today and all I have to say is - the best salad bar ever! Store is beautiful, the staff are so friendly and their coffee is amazing. Great to have such fresh food served locally, great for looking to eat healthy with all their healthy options and healthy treats. Love their smoothies also. Can't wait to try their breakfast options!

Really sick of getting a smoothie that's supposed to have at least 5 ingredients and getting what I'm pretty sure is just frozen pineapple and pineapple juice. For nearly £5. Shredded juice bar down the road uses fresh stuff so I'll go there instead!

Delicious food in a street food style. Great menu and very easy to pay for in comparison to local competition.

Eaten here a few times despite it being extortionately priced, and it was usually nice but the one star is for the last time as the rice was like eating stones. I called twice as it was inedible, left my number as apparently no manager was available but they didn’t offer to rectify the situation ….and I’m still waiting on that call back! Poor customer service and very very over priced!

Excellent, salads are really good and the service is very friendly and helpful. Plently of staff there to take your order quickly. Not a lot of seating however, but there are exterior seats.

Had a take out lunch order from here. Mine was the Mexican veggie bowl and it is was really good, spicy and very tasty.

So tasty. I really enjoyed. Went as a trio and each got something different and everything was amazing. Amazing flavours and nice premise. Super fresh. Would really recommend.

Ordered a falafel salad, arrived back to work with no Falafel in the salad 🤦🏼‍♀️ Some of the Staff aren’t very helpful! Used to go in quite often but have been going less and less,. Was offered alto return to get the falafel but waited enough time and didn’t have time on my lunch break, offered a refund the next time I’m in lol

The staff are nice and the food is quite tasty however the standard of hygiene (observed on three separate occasions now) is very poor. Serving utensils are left inside food containers and lids are left off. The lids should be fully secured to keep food safe and fresh.

I wrote the first review for here and at that point it was great. I couldn’t wait to get back again. This was a very different experience. With the exception of one, the staff were sullen, as if they didn’t want to be there. The cutlery was grubby and I had to sift through to get knives which were reasonably clean. We elected to eat in. Mistake. The tables weren’t clean and the floor was absolutely filthy. The doors leading into the toilet and the kitchen needed a good scrub. Let’s get the owner back in and get things sorted!

Beautiful clean and very young friend staff. Today my daughter and I had the salmon bowl and the duck bowl both delicious and so fresh. The salmon bowel with noodles was coated in a Korean spicy sauce. So many flavours in both dishes. Highly recommend x

Every craving for a salad that wasn’t satisfied has finally been fulfilled by seed, such tasty and fresh ingredients, if you’re craving something healthy but full of flavour then I would definitely recommend coming here! Lovely staff, great food and a chill atmosphere :)

New favourite place for a lunchtime treat. Lovely display of fresh ingredients made up in a compostable salad bowl. We had Oh My Duck! & Miso Chickpeas. Deep flavours and really filling as my hubby was worried the bowls looked a bit small🤣 Great option following a lunchtime swim. Keep it up guys 😎

Upon seeing the array of fresh ingredients presented at the counter I knew we were in for a culinary treat. I chose the Roast Chicken Katsu option and was pleasantly surprised to experience an explosion of taste and freshness. I can't wait for my return to try out the other options.

Absolutely excellent service and food. Went today with a friend for lunch. Both had Caesar salad and a coffee. Absolutely amazing fresh ingredients and so tasty. What made the experience more pleasant was the impeccable manners of the staff and (perhaps the owner) thanking us on the way out. Will be back

Really like the concept and want it to work. Food was good, we’ll thought out and a perfect blend of taste and healthy. We sat in and that experience doesn’t quite match up - much more of a take away or quick snack environment.

We were in for lunch and had a truly delicious meal. Both of us are gluten intolerant which means that we tend to end up with a mediocre option. The manager was really switched on, knew what were the best options for us. Impressive. No second rate option for any customer. Food was fresh, tasty and just the right amount. Staff were helpful and polite. Highly recommend - would travel to Belfast just to eat here again.
