Quick, fresh and fast. Food is good, and it’s a good price considering what you get.

Ordered food here recently and wish I’d read the recent reviews first. So overpriced given the quality and the portion sizes - the loaded fries were like a starter, seriously chips aren’t expensive enough to be THAT stingy with them! And the pad thai was actually inedible, luckily deliveroo refunded it because it went straight in the bin and I hate wasting food!! Absolutely swimming in oil, and looked like someone had chewed it up and spat it back out again. I worked as a chef in a Thai kitchen for years and I just cannot understand how someone could get it so wrong ***edit to add following restaurant reply*** it was a vegetarian pad thai there was no protein in it, and I didn’t eat it that’s exactly how it came. I don’t usually post reviews but seeing how the management reply to complaints on here (always the customer in the wrong apparently) I felt inclined to.

I ordered a box with salt chili chicken and noodles and a side of curry, When I opened the box I’ve literally counted the pieces of chicken and there was only 5 pieces and a few small dry bits and paid £12 pounds. I’ve seen more people have complained about this too and still no improvement. Not happy 👎🏻

The food is great but the customer service really isn’t. You consistently wait 20-25 minutes or more for food. At times we’ve had our food sit on the side for 15mins before it’s even been given to us. They also often give one person in the group their food first and then it can be 15 mins or more before the other people in the group get theirs. I have just always been disappointed because the food is nice but the experience is really let down by the customer service.

Payed for extra chicken on katsu curry to get a extremely small portion of chicken that wouldnt fill a child. Curry was under whelming and for the price you got nothing compared to other places.

Ordered via Just Eat. Driver mix up meant we received someone else’s food. I understand this was likely the delivery driver’s fault but the restaurant provided no solution and even asked us to deliver the food ourselves to the other customer. We had to order food from somewhere else after waiting 45 mins on delivery, disappointing and our last time ordering from Kanto.

Wrong food delivered, restaurant contacted and they requested I correct their mistake. Refused to arranged a refund or replacement food.

Unreal food, mason the man who was working cooked up lovely food and the service was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

The food is always fantastic and no matter what I take away I am always delighted with my meal! Especially the honey chilli chicken! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

Kanto is a go to restaurant for people who fancy panAsian cuisine like me !! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ALL THEIR DISHES, especially their chicken Pad Thai, Yoki saba and the Honey chili chicken

Ordered the roasted chicken loaded fries with extra chicken. I got cold, undercooked fries with a few bits of chicken. No garlic mayo or scallion or crispy shallot as advertised. Really disappointed, I’d heard really good things about this place.

Ordered a vegetarian option got chicke. Made no effort to help me, lady was rude on phone. They didn’t help me at all , now down £8 and not even offered a proper substitute meal sane as they never took my name. Awful customer service and awful wait times. Won’t be back.

Dude at the till half listening with headphones in. Half the order wrong. Save some time and don’t go there.

Really great food at reasonable price. Nice to get lots of veg and meat. Really can’t fault the food. Interior is a bit drab.

Don’t fall for the low menu prices. Not anywhere close to authentic, less quality (less veggies/meat) & filled with just sauces. Won’t recommend to anyone looking for authentic food.

They do not provide utensils, even if you request them in the notes.

We ordered a takeaway and thought it was great. I had prawn yaki soba was delicious, tried my partners Mongolian chicken which I think was even better. Would definitely order again.

Used to be a really big fan of this restaurant, but I've continuously been getting overcharged and today i found a really long black hair in the food. its a shame because i used to be a frequent customer.

Excellent quality food! Their bao buns are delicious and full of flavour and their cheese fries are class. Delivery is always prompt too.

Very disappointed with our food last night.. Both got chilli chicken, rice was seriously over boiled and it was clearly a case of using up what they had as it had chunks of green peppers and scallions throughout when usually its red pepper, grated carrot, and topped with sesame seeds. Not enjoyable at all.

Ordered from Kanto Last week, my days the food is amazing, tastes absolutely delicious 🤤 we ordered Asian garlic Tofu Crispy chilli squid Mongolian chicken BB (my fave) Singapore fried rice Asian slimy fries Each dish tasted unique with different flavours leaving you wanting more . A well-prepared flavoursome meal with great presentation and an interesting flavour I've never experienced before. My fave new place, if you haven’t tried it yet you’re missing out people!!!!! Food for everyone, and staff are amazing which is just a bonus . (We may become regulars)

It’s really delicious. I rate it number 1 in all similar category of food in Belfast. Portions are also great. Now I tasted 6 of their dishes and looking forward to try the rest.

I Had the Thai green curry with prawns, it was very tasty and exactly what I needed on a cold evening. My kids got the salt & chilli squid and salt & chilli chicken and they were both delicious! I reckon if u blind tasted the squid you’d think it came out of a 5 star restaurant! Will definitely be back! So will my kids apparently!

Friendly staffs, always try to engage with us customers who are usually bit clueless on what to order lol :) We ordered pad thai, mongolian chicken and katsu chicken for the family. Totally in love with the katsu curry, freshly home made sauce 🤤🤤🤤 (I asked them about this!) Chicken was very flavourful and definitely one of our favourites, the sauce was the highlight simply yummy with no MSG! Pad thai was delish too - generous portions as always and sauce was lovely made (reminds me of the Pad thai I had in Aonang at Krabi! ) Hubby loves the Mongolian Chicken the most! Uniquely distinctive flavour and again... very generous portions.. Lunch Deals were fantastic especially in these tough times - plus we got free bottled water! Will defo come again, exactly like it said in the website, flame fresh as we got to sneak peek the chefs cooking in the woks 🤣

I would like to say that this is the best service both on top quality food and for service..whilst the app is not top performing.the owner was so welcoming of my feedback. .today I had an issue with my order technically..the owner and his staff went the extra mile to get the problem sorted and compensated me . The owners quick action, professionalism and customer first approach was excellent. For those people whom have bad reviews o say you are crazy. Every meal that I have tasted is absolutely delicious . For those of us that watch what we eat its a great little treat, the portion sizes are just right! with calories displayed it really helps me stay on track and I think other take aways n restaurant should follow suit. Keep up the good work Kanto.

food was average-nice but paid £9.50 for such a small portion on uber eats. Wouldn’t pay that price for it again. Really disappointed.

Partner and I ordered katsu from here and it was the saddest katsu I’ve ever had. The chicken was weirdly rubbery and thick, the sauce wasn’t a katsu curry just a regular curry from the Chinese you’d get. Not worth the money.

I stopped on Stranmillis road today looking for a quick lunch. Walking past Kanto the smell from the students lunch pots was amazing and I popped in. Very pleasant guy steered me towards the lunch specials and I chose honey chilli chicken which came with fragrant rice. It was freshly cooked, piping hot and simply the best I have ever eaten. Not too sweet, very crispy chicken and crunchy red peppers and tangy sauce. Great value at six quid and a big enough portion to fill you. I thoroughly recommend Kanto and can’t wait to taste more dishes.

In love with salted chilly chicken! Staff and chefs are friendly enough to do some customizations if we ask.

Tasty food, no complaints, lovely staff

I got Uber eats few times from Kanto. Last time I got “Singapore fried rice “ which was too oily and rice was too wet watery. It used to be better last year. I am not sure if the chefs has been changed.

Overpriced, pad Thai shouldn't have that much sauce, and I should get some protein (tofu) added to the vegan one when paying £8.50

Ordered Chinese belly pork spicy. With no bag, I got soy glazed crispy pork that was so salty that I couldn’t eat it and throw it away before I realised, and got charged for a bag!

Wasnt impressed. 8 pounds for honey chilli chicken with boiled rice and the prtion size was so tiny. 4 bits of chicken and some overcooked boiled rice through it. Lots of vegetables. To top it off it was so bland . I couldnt eat it .

Ordered Korean Chicken Wings and Crispy Squid from the small bites selection. I enjoyed the wings, tender and full of flavour. My partner really didn't like the squid as it was cold and chewy. I thought it was a bit dear, for the portion size, and small bites was just what we ordered.

Not a single member of staff was wearing a face mask and the portions were so small, ordered the fillipino BBQ pork for £8 and only got 3 pieces of pork, most of the tiny container was just made up of cold rice with no seasoning and grated carrot and cucumber. Not worth the money, won't be back again.

This Asian fusion Filipino concept has really taken off in Belfast,where it has two take aways and one in Lisburn. I usually get the Teriyaki prawns. This time I ordered the Japanese Donburi prawn dish. But it was much the same. A bed of boiled rice topped with the prawns and sauce and some salad. It is a standard fare from Kanto. Lacked a bit of content really. They are always busy and Inwill from time to time visit.nI recommend it.

Awful. Ordered online. Rang to tell us something was not available anymore (why is it still an option then to order online?!). Tried to ring back over 10 times and just no answer.

Chicken pad Thai and wings are amazing

Kanto is best place to grab quick lunch and dinner with variety of Asian food preparation. I personally will recommend Yaki Soba which is chicky egg noodles preparation with tinch of spiciness. With added veggies and sprouts. Honey chicken and Katsu Curry aree alos among some good options.

Curry Noodles were decent but the honey chilli chicken was totally bland. Disappointing. Also 5 wings for £6

This is by far the best carryout I've had in Belfast! I would drive all the way from whitehead just to get one! The meat is fantastic quality! Very tasty! The staff are welcoming and very passionate about there food! You can't beat a Kanto!

Do not be put off by the negative reviews on here because I’m glad I didn’t!! The food is made fresh and it’s perfect! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and the wings are unreal!! Can’t wait to go back!

Expected better. Food was on par with somewhere like WokaMoley but in fancier packaging. Very slow preparing order. Original delivery driver had to be reassigned because they kept him waiting so long. Portion sizes poor. Expect a bucket of rice with hardly any meat. Honey chilli sauce tastes like a cheap Tesco sweet & sour sauce. Side was delivered cold, soggy and undercooked and they forgot the drink which was literally the first thing on the printed receipt. Not difficult to quickly check off a receipt before sending an order out. Thankfully many other local options for this style of food in the area!

I ordered Singapore fried rice and the quality of food was really bad. No value for money.. The fried rice was soo sticky , the rice was nearly like Paste with lots of chillies. This is second consecutive time the food was bad...

I heard about the place from a friend and I have decided to give it a go. So I ordered online and have it collected. Difficult to find a parking space, have to go round and round and eventually have no choice but to park in a double yellow line. I ordered four items: 1. honey chili chicken - far from my expectations, barely any meat, mostly vegetables, rice and the sauce made it taste like a sweet and sour chicken rather that a honey chili chicken that I used to taste. 2. Japanese Donburi - I picked prawn as a topping and was given chicken, taste bland. 3. Filipino BBQ pork - again barely any meat, tough texture. 4. Coconut rice - tasted like plan rice, no trace of coconut milk taste. Overall presentation is good but if you are looking for value of money and taste, I would opt for a traditional Chinese takeaway.

Been a while since my last visit. So I phoned my order through first. I always like teriyaki prawns,which come with rice and green veg. I only had one small piece of broccoli and some green beans this time. Although it is called teriyaki it is more of a tangy sauce. About 8 nice prawns on a bed of boiled rice. The price is now £8.00 per dish. But it is a nice asian fusion dish. Try it.

I ordered prawn tereyaki meal from this Filipino owned and run take away. I had before tried the Belmont road branch. I was told 10 minutes but I arrived after 7 minutes. The guys were pleasant and cooked my box meal quickly. All told 10 minutes was fair timing. I paid £7.50 I think. 50 pence dearer than menu,but then everyone is raising prices during virus period.Unfair really. I took the round box to my car to eat. There were about 6 king prawns on a bed of rice,broccoli,carrot,cabbage and a tangy sweetish sauce. The sauce was nice,but definitely not tereyaki as most know it. But it was all tasty and fresh tasting. Not a big portion but adequate. Recommended. Will be back soon.

I eat here at least once if not twice a week. Fresh ingredients. Quick, friendly service. They make to order and also provide ready-made meals in the fridge. 3 for £10. I get these often for lunch. Clean way to enjoy "take away". Can't rate it high enough. Highly recommend their Katsu Curry. Delicious.
