Friendly service, food was lovely, I'll back...

Mrs Got a pastie, few chips...Very disappointed with the pastie.. Very high salt content, some spices, and the content was bright pink! Like some sort of preservative used on meat content!

Went in for a fish supper - of all days on good Friday. Smallest fish I seen in my life. Chips were all wee end. Definitely would not recommend. I won't be back. I will spend my good hard earned money else where.

Wouldn’t rate it even 1 star use to be great food got soggy undercooked chips swimming in brown fat steakette was soggy batter swimming in grease and the meat was a grey colour tasted even worse than it looked wasn’t even fit for the dog don’t waste your money here

This chippy use to be best in town, queue was out the door most nights. The food served now is of poor quality, soggy chips, small portions, wrong orders etc, the prices they are charging people for the food there selling is extortionate, do better Mannys.

Right, let me start by saying....tired of sub quality food in any takeaway, especially due to the prices being charged. Just getting really sick of it. I am saying this is not worst, trust me there is much worse, but please when you serve food make sure it is edible for the customer. This is the second time with the same item in a matter of weeks. So on the 15th Feb 2024 ordered 2 Sausages and a half portion of Onion rings, now sausages and the chips where fine (if someone went wrong with a sausage they should not be working in a chippy!) Onion Rings, well thats another story...2nd time same rubbish quality, barely edible, infact most went in the bin. Take 1 of these, use it for a frisbie or if you want to break a window, just throw one of these at it, but try and eat it and you will break your teeth, terrible, tough, chewy , not fit to be eaten. I am not being harsh, but this is the 2nd time in 4 weeks I had to throw them in the bin. Now £6.20 for that order, not sure where that comes from, seemed high, but considering I could not eat half of it, money was wasted. Why just why cannot you not get it right. What do you expect people to do when they get served this type of food? There is the FSA, they can check and there is a food quality reporting link on their website. If places do not get their house in order, I will start using it considering prices being charged nowadays.

It’s a good chippy …but the portions are atrocious…it’s not the cheapest but where is these days

If I could give zero stars I would!!! Mannys use to be one of the best chippy in an around Belfast... but, sorry to say it has went to the dogs to say the least. My chips were rock hard an cold, seems like they'd been sitting for ages..definitely not fresh!!! The pastie was soggy an cold also... food was horrendous, 100% not be back.

I bought a curry chip this afternoon, l received my order within 30 seconds. The curry had a gelatinous texture, the chips were barely warm and soggy, the portion £5.50 was that of a starter and blessedly so. There was nothing to redeem this take away.

Made a order at mannys and for mushrooms I was given a measley 4 wasn't happy I rang manys to complain they said they put 8 in a box if I had 8 I wouldn't of rang they sent a driver up to me with another 4 in a box you would of thought they would of given me a full portion and maybe a dip to say sorry and to keep my custom well I won't be buying from mannys again tight gits stingy or what mannys has lost my custom I should've got of the chip company at least they give loads of mushrooms mannys used to be good not now 🤬🤬

Got chicken and chips today . The chicken was gorgeous. The grub well worth the money. And the delivery driver was very pleasant

Nice friendly staff, but service was slow. Fish was OK but chips didn't seem to be freshly cooked. Terrible beef burger that was chewy and tasted like low grade meat. Fed the burger to the dog in the end.

I've been away from Ireland for 11 years.. the feed I got today was unreal. The girl at the counter was really helpful 10 out of 10 chips, battered sausage & curry

Just got a steakette out of here and it was covered in grease and the batter was soggy never again shall I buy out of here.

Mannys has really went downhill food was terrible and prices are sky hi. Used to be really good. We won’t be back!

This has turned into an awful place, terrible customer service with even worse food. Waited close to 2hrs for delivery and when it did come the fish was rock hard and chips we're grim. Years of custom over the years but won't be back

Stopped in on an impulse and bought what the staff told me was a KFC type breast of chicken only better However the breast was extremely small and absolutely dried up one bite and rest put in bin I will not be back

I have not had a takeaway of any type for years, so decided to have some chips from Mandy's. Paid £4 for a large chip and it was ridiculously small. I probably would have got a single chip if I had order a small portion. Never going back.

Was told to wait 2mins, ended up waiting 20mins just for them to hang up. The disrespect they give to their customers I disgusting.

Never ever again I got a fish supper and Carter of curry the curry was thicker than the fish the curry was thick like peanut butter and I didn't know you could get cod so thin

My husband and I stopped by for a nice meal. But the people there refused to serve or even acknowledge us. They told us to sit. We waited about 10 minutes. The place was not even full. No one came to give us menus or take our order. A young woman cleaned the table next to us. But did not say a word. We waited politely. A couple came in after us and they were given menus right away. When my husband told the older lady working there that we were still waiting for menus she angrily told him ‘I know!’ But we did not want to be subjected to this prejudice and decided to leave. We did absolutely nothing to anger the woman. My husband is from Dublin. Maybe his accent made her angry. I am Mexican American. Maybe she is prejudice against people of colour. It made no sense to us. Don’t spend your money at a place where they treat people who are different like this. So many other places where people are kind.

After hearing good things about this chippy I decided it was time I gave it a try... It didn't disappoint.. The.fish was to die for I will definitely be back 😍

Was at this chippy tonight and I have to say what great bunch of girls and what a laugh and service was 10 out of 10 well done..... lacey was brilliant also food was very good .I will be back. We need you in carrickfergus

Checked the menu on Just Eat, it said no chicken burgers,wraps etc. Rang to order a collection and was told I had to walk in to order, I asked was there chicken I was told they sold out. I arrived and ordered a cheeseburger instead ( even know I wanted Chicken) a man came in after me he ordered a chicken burger ( yes a chicken burger) it appears the staff member I spoke to was either lieing or lazy another man walked in and ordered a 3 piece of chicken ( appears if your ordering on just eat no chicken for you) The man who came in 5 mins after me and the man who came in 10mins behind him, had all left with there orders. Then the guy behind the counter shouted in to the kitchen (the wee quarter pounder) to my shock a woman said putting it on now. Considering this was a Wednesday night at 8.3o wasn't busy there's no excuse. Check out the pics I uploaded of the black lettuce which was in my burger ( health hazard) as for the burger like eating a piece of rubber. Never be back, love talking about food while taxing I'll be sure to mention this place every time I pass. Yuck

Was in the area and remembered the place when it had a different owner. So I called in and order a pastie and a steakette. I was pleasantly surprised when the young lady serving after thought I recognised and held in high regard. She previously worked in Sphinx,Botanic and is uber friendly and efficient. The place is clean and busy. My two items were fine with so many free chips I could not finish. So I will call again and recommend. Prices very fair.

I believe this is the first negative review I have ever left, but it's deserved. Twice in the last few weeks I have been in Mannys on the Antrim Road. The same fella that takes your money and gives your change (coins) for your order uses the same hand and 'sterile' gloves to serve your order, including a handful of chips. Any chicken goujons, pasties, fish etc are put into a serving container using a glove thats handled several orders and many, many coins. A friend also said of the exact same experience. Disgusting at any time, let alone during a pandemic.

Disgusting the way they spoke to me . The food was out of date im a chef and can tatse the out of date meat . For the manger or what er it is talking to me.like that . Customers always right and ill be down first thing in thw Moring ro speak to the owner . Joke of a place unless ya want out of date food and disrespected

Very good take away. Good tasty food. It's always busy so you can be sure the food is fresh, nice friendly staff. The popcorn chicken and the chicken goujons meals are very nice, chicken burger is not great.

Mannys was the chippy everyone went to years ago..i went tonight and unforunately i was not impressed..chips were all dried up and the pasty was like a bag full of salt...bring back the old mannys that was lovely and great friendly staff

Great fish, flavours are not overwhelmed by the flavour of the batter however the chips are lacklustre. The staff are always lovely even when they are rushed off their feet.

Good fish and chips and very good portions the carry out is packed in a box so it is not crushed when you get it home, this is a bonus.

Dont understand why it's so hard go get what you order for delivery got tonight and that's about the fourth time got wrong delivery so will never order again.

Had seat in with mummy and kids service was fab no issue at all and the food was great the kids loved the battered sausages and chips were great highly recommend

Love mannys always get it for my lunch I get 20 mins the food is always served quickly and taste amazing. Great food my favourite is the battered sausages and chips with curry sauce. Taco chips are amazing ❤

Bought sausages and as usual mannys provide chips with them, great... until we got home, 5 mins away. They are freezing ☹️. Had to heat them up in the chip pan.

Had a fish supper from Mannys on 12th Sept after a long afternoon in the hairdressers across the road. Have to say it was the best I've had, EVER! The batter was gorgeous and light, a good ratio of batter to fish, which was flaky and delicious. I couldn't finish it and I was I was stuffed but it was so good I didnt want to stop eating 🤩 good job folks. Hoping it's the same next time I visit 🤞

First time fish and chips for me today. I liked it, good taste and friendly staff.

Slow getting the orders out. One person taking the orders and 4 standing behind the counter talking. Food very expensive to be in an area were unemployment is very high. And when you do get home with your order you have to microwave it because it is cold. Will not be back.

Refurbished shop is very nice. Pity they cannot refurbish the staff. If you get a big order (more than two items) check it while you are there. It usually is wrong if you don't check it until you get home.
