Pablos in Belfast

Surprisingly enough, the choice of eateries in Belfast after midnight are limited, based on my my recent visit; but at that moment of need for food and cocktails late at night Pablos delivered!!! Pablos is an haven….lovely people, great food and the cocktails off the charts - Spicy Margs!!!! Would love to try Pablos during ‘normal’ hours but our late night experience was phenomenal!

Order never arrived. The only number to contact the restaurant was a mobile number on google which goes straight to voicemail so couldn’t even call to cancel.

Woeful service tonight. Stood for 20 minutes waiting for drinks service while the staff had a chat in the kitchen. The place went from being quiet to packed busy and the staff never budged. The food, when eventually served was tasty, but the effort required to get food and drinks definitely isn’t worth it. Place could do with a manager - leaving teens to run your business into the ground isn’t a great plan.

Not worth the price or the wait, 20 plus minutes and was just me and 1 other table in the place, 18 quid for a mediocre burger and fries and drink, they then have the audacity to charge 1.25 for small tub of mayo. Should've went to five guys instead similar price but 100x better. Music was also too loud for the tiny spot and it felt like I was in a night club.

Not only are the burgers not worth £10 as they are mediocre and only worth about a fiver but the chips cost a fortune and you have to pay for sauce. I contemplated walking to poundland to buy a bottle of sauce because it would’ve been better value. The service was absolutely awful because the woman who served us seemed to have an attitude and didn’t understand how to be a good server. Overall I am never coming here again because it was horrible.

Unfortunately, the burger I ordered did not arrive as it was supposed to. It was supposed to come with cheese and bacon but came with cheese, bacon, onion, lettuce, gerkins and burger sauce. The food was lovely but was let down by the wrong burger

Sí, no es genial. Los tacos de pescado eran básicamente crudos y la masa era mega gruesa y robusta y no crujiente. El pollo de los tacos de pollo estaba seco. Nuestro pedido debía incluir sal y patatas fritas con chile - se saltaron eso. Pedimos agua, no vino. Tuvimos que pedirlo cuando terminamos nuestra comida. Todo un poco mehhh luego fuimos al lado para tomar cócteles - estos eran excelentes. Como mi amiga no había comido sus tacos crudos y nuestras papas fritas habían desaparecido, pedimos comida mientras estábamos sentados aquí. Pensamos que no podíamos equivocarnos con las papas fritas y los nachos - MAL - las papas fritas eran mega más caras para lo que eran esencialmente papas fritas congeladas con mucha sal - nachos - básicamente tiradas de una bolsa y un montón de cosas húmedas añadidas a la parte superior. No sabía particularmente fresco. Probables no volverían por comida, pero volverían al lado por cócteles. Eran increíbles.

Best burger and fires i have had in a long time

Walked in on the Bank Holiday Monday, we were the only customers, there were 2 staff working, my son had to lift menus, we decided what we wanted & waited for a staff member to take our order. Nobody came, nobody acknowledged us & after about 10 minutes we left, can't tell you anything about the food, but with no other customers we were still completely ignored.

Pretty average tacos and wings, wouldn't say it's bad at all regarding food. However my eyes nearly fell out of my head when I was charged £13.60 for two pints of Estrella. More expensive than when I stayed in the Merchant hotel. Will not be back due to blatant price gouging

Cuando recibí mi hamburguesa mi hamburguesa estaba empapada de salsa Ni siquiera pude levantarlo La presentación fue muy decepcionante Y yo estaba muy decepcionado Ni siquiera me ofrecieron hacer uno nuevo. Me lo arrebató y enseguida cogeré a mi manager El gerente no se ocupó de ello en absoluto Muy insatisfecho No obtuvo el resultado Y no recibió reembolso Yo evitaría No volveré allí.

Loved the decor vibe of the place, and staff was friendly too, but the only way you can enjoy this food is if you‘re completely wasted. But we were here sober, because it’s one of the only places to still get food after 11pm. And phew that was hard to eat… the “guacamole” is a slimy tasteless cream out of a bottle, the undefined red sauce is gel-like and weirdly sweet, completely destroyed the already soggy fries. And the tacos were partially icecold while simultaneously piping hot in other parts - so clearly just popped into a very old microwave or something. Not a single ingredient was fresh or tasted like anything it should be tasting like. Sorry guys, but even for a late night food spot - this was so disappointing. And we payed 30£ for a burger, tacos and fries, which is way too much for this quality. We couldn’t even finish more than a few bites.

The tacos were cold, the burger patty was the driest I had in ages, the fries tasted frozen and reheated. Regarding the guacamole and all the ingredients: they aren’t fresh. Tasted liked they found a processed guacamole bottle and a bean can in a Lidl aisle and were like ‘let’s open a restaurant!’ I don’t know how authentic this place pretends to be, but they wouldn’t be able to pull this off in any Hispanic or Latino country. Very expensive for what it is. On a slightly positive note: service was friendly. Giving two stars for this.

Jay was the best bartender in this city and he made feel like welcome. Niceeeest person in Belfast. He deserves a raise

Entró en Pablos 10: 30 PM un domingo. Están abiertos hasta las 11: 00 PM. La gente todavía estaba en el comedor y afuera en el patio y el "Chef" todavía estaba cocinando en la placa caliente / parrilla. En el momento en que entré con 9 personas el "Chef" gritó "No. . No. No... estamos cerrados" cortésmente le pregunté si sabía de algo más abierto y nos dijo de una manera muy "condescendiente"... que no conocía ningún restaurante y por qué no simplemente llegué a Mcdonalds. Una de las empleadas se dio cuenta de que estaba siendo un idiota y nos ofreció algunos otros lugares donde podíamos conseguir comida. Tenemos un ambiente muy no queremos "turistas" en nuestro lugar del "chef" Es realmente una pena, ya que la comida se veía muy bien para un bocado nocturno rápido.

Ordered 2 burgers on Saturday evening. The meat was overcooked, but at least they gave us a generous portion of chips. Quite impossible to fail with chips. They did. Who adds sugar to chips????

Had the narcos burger and narcos fries, both lovely. Guacamole was spot on 👌 Chef was very friendly, will definitely be back for the tacos

The delivery driver delivered to the wrong location, when he didn’t leave the food with security as instructed and instead stayed at the opposite end of the location I immediately went to meet him, within 3 minutes I had reached his car just to watch him drive off even as I beeped. I was as quick as I could possibly be and he left with my food. No contact number will answer my call about the issue.

Didn't rate the delivery from here. Ordered the burgers and they tasted like frozen ones, far too pricey for the quality of the meal served up.

I tried to go to this restaurant to eat at 7pm and the kitchen was already closed. We were scared by the employees all talking at the same time. I don't understand how this place works, according to Google it works until 1am

Driver was confirmed around 17.15 then the delivery time was pushed further and further back. Tried calling Pablos 6 times but no answer. I get they’ve probably been let down by a Just Eat driver but this is just unacceptable. I can’t cancel, the expected delivery time gets pushed back past two hours after my order was confirmed and driver assigned. Then at 19.15 and the APP suddenly says both delivered and expected delivery 19.30! Of course it hasn’t been delivered. So I wait even longer. 19.30 and still nothing but a bank account that’s close to £40 lighter for being made to wait on food that never arrived and that I can’t even cancel after over two hours.

Meh. The tacos are tiny. Way too much sauce. Chicken was so bland. They are flavourless. Guacamole wasn’t fresh it from a bottle. Very disappointed. Wouldn’t be coming back. It was busy when we can which I can understand but they were servicing a customer per 20min. So we waited ages and it was disappointing.

One of the best spots in Belfast! Never had an evenly slightly disappointing meal from here. I recommend everything!! 10/10

Order from somewhere else or you will be left hungry, skint and completely unsatisfied. Awful service. Preparatiom takes an age. Delivery takes an age. Food is cold when delivered. Restaurant staff accept no responsibility and are just plain rude amd unhelpful. I advise you to order elsewhere.

Got food poisoning here. Staff were unfriendly and were rushing to get us out - tidying tables away so 'noone else would sit down ' giving us no option but to take out. Even though it wasn't closing time for another hour.

Ordered burger, tacos and nachos. Burger was lovely, tacos and nachos arrived cold. Sent back and the exact same food came back still freezing. Friendly male server offered to redo the order but too late at this stage. Shame after spending £30.

Everything went well, until the first bite of the tacos (which were supposedly not spicy). The same thing happened with the wings, we explicitly asked that they not be spicy and he offered us the wings dipped in BBQ sauce. As soon as we opened the box that wrapped them, our nostrils opened due to the high level of spiciness along with the tears that fell from the first bite (and no, it was not because of its extraordinary presentation). We also ordered potatoes with breaded chicken, they brought us the potatoes but without chicken. The waitress, realizing this, brought us some potatoes with chicken completely free of charge. The next day we had stomach pains, burning (and up to 2 fillings could have fallen out). Please, if you want to eat something quick and not spicy, go to another restaurant. Very nice staff, I will not repeat. Thanks guys!

Ridiculous service. Waited more than an hour for a meal. Staff gave our burgers to random people. Dirty and unprofessional staff. When we questioned our order the staff started yelling at each other behind the counter. If they know it will be a busy night get more staff or train the staff to work efficiently.

I’m really not one for to do this sort of thing, but after the experience I had yesterday evening I feel it is necessary. My boyfriend and I had been out in Belfast for the day and we decided we needed to get a bite to eat. As it was a Saturday evening a lot of places were full which is understandable. (For context, this was around 7pm) We came across Pablos and decided to go in as it looked a lot quieter at that time. I totally get this is a small takeaway style shop - but there are 3 SMALL tables inside to sit at and eat your food. My boyfriend and I sat at one of these as we decided what we were going to have and then he proceeded to go to the till and order. He came back and told me that if we wanted drinks he would have to go into the bar next door and he could bring them in from there. I decided to stay at the table whilst he done that. Another two men came in and sat at the table situated beside ours which was of course absolutely grand. After a few minutes, another group of men came and two of which asked myself and the man at the table beside if we were using the seats beside us at our table. We both replied yes that people would be sitting here but they were away ordering food and drinks. The first man proceeded to question me as to why he couldn’t sit in the small space between me and the man at the other table - I said well it’s not really enough room is it. He then went ahead and sat at the seat infront of me where my boyfriend would have been sitting when he came back with our food and drinks. I again told him that there would be someone sitting here, as we had ordered our food and he was away getting drinks. I also reiterated that he was in a group of at least 4 people and there was physically no way all of us could eat comfortably around what could only be described as a small drinks table you would see in a bar. He became very rude and persistent saying that I could not “book the whole place out for myself” and that I should “stop fighting it, we will be sitting here.” Amongst other things. At this stage I felt very uncomfortable. The man at the table beside was in total agreement with myself. I then messaged my boyfriend who was next door to explain what had happened. He came in and politely tried to diffuse the situation with the now two men sitting around me at the table to which they became more hostile and rude. At this point I stepped away from the table and waited by the counter on our food order - if they hadn’t have began preparing it at this stage I would quite frankly have been asking for our £35 back and we would just go elsewhere. My boyfriend again politely asked the two members of staff on the counter what was the situation with the tables and explained what had happened with this group of men (two of which now at the table, the others at the counter waiting on their food. ) The staffs reply I found extremely rude also - they said it is “come as you are” and “first come first serve” (we were there first but anyway) he then explained how the men had been rude and intimidating to myself - to which one staff member laughed and replied “it’s not our problem” and the other said “now get your hands off my f*****g counter”. (He had one hand placed on the edge of the counter. There was a sign stating not to do this which we genuinely did not notice. He removed his hand and apologised - however I feel that this could have been asked of him in a more dignified way) We got our food order and ended up eating it outside in the cold at a bench of a neighbouring establishment whilst the group of men sat around the table they essentially bullied me away from. The food was ok, it done the job for what we needed. However I am genuinely so disappointed in the way I was treated - albeit this was not the staffs fault but their handling could have been a LOT better. I will end this with two thoughts - how would you feel if your wife/girlfriend/daughter/sister ANYONE told you that they were rudely hassled and intimidated in an establishment and the staff laughed it off and said it “wasn’t their problem” ??? And that, if there were a man sitting at that table… I doubt this would have ever went this far. Do better.

I have been to a pablos a few times before but tonight I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant as I waited 40 minutes for a mediocre burger. The staff's rudeness and inability to provide updates further added to the unfortunate experience. . Overall, would not recommend

Burger was dry, seemed a bit overcooked. I’ve had Pablos many times but always at the restaurant and it’s been great. Maybe this was a one off or doesn’t travel well!

Hip styling, metal trays, wooden interior, ticks the current trend box well. The burgers were OK, cooked well and fresh, however they seemed a bit thick and the ever-present Brioche bun is getting naff. The fairies were at least double cooked so were crunchy and the portion was good for two people. The seasoning has a sweet tang to it which is not unpleasant. Not bad, but not amazing. 32 quid for two burgers, 1 fries, two cokes.

Bad burgers. Thick European/burger-van style. The churros were good. You can order Pablos food, eat-in and get drinks at Muriel’s Cafe Bar next door - which is a nicer venue.

Excellent service and the food is to die for, it’s a different place, small and is a fast food eatery with a chic chilled out atmosphere! A real hidden gem.

It's a take away food place with a few tables you can use. The food was lovely - dirty chips and also my friend had one of the nicest burgers he has ever had there.

Pablos is a burger joint in a class location right in the centre of town, only a few minutes walk from the Cathedral Quarter. The theme is quite cool with a cantina style decor and a menu with Mexican twist which work perfectly. In terms of plant-based options there is one on the menu, the Vegan mince Tacos. They looked great so we tried to place an order but unfortunately the staff member said they didn't have time to make them. We were genuinely confused asking if there is anything she would like to make that was vegan. After suggesting options like crumbling a bean patty over chips she then backtracked and said she would make the tacos but we weren’t to tell anyone as we would be the last for the evening, so obviously the processes for the vegan meals must be a major issue for the staff here. Once they arrived they were genuinely quite tasty and we were pleased. I can't say we felt anything other than unwelcome in this restaurant so unless the service is greatly improved I think we would advise most plant-based diners to go somewhere where their business is appreciated. Everyone else, work away, it seemed that there was personal bias coming through so you may have a great experience. Just a shame we can't have that for all customers.

food was made and ready for collection from the assigned driver. I contacted the resteraunt and they said to food was ready but the assigned driver had not arrived. the food was obviously remade which was nice and warm but it took an hour and a half to arrive. this was not the resteraunts fault. the food was delishious when it arrived

Got a pablos burger I believe it was, plain. Received it to the shock that it wasn’t in fact plain. I then politely went up and explained the situation to them, then the chef with dreads just looked at me and didn’t say nothing. I then got the burger 2 minutes later, with the sauce and toppings clearly pushed off the burger. Instead of making a new one he scraped everything off it, tells me everything I need to know. Chips were also extremely mid, emphasis on extremely. They do do a nasty chimichurri mayo tbf

We had burgers - delicious, tasty, filling obviously made with high quality beef and two fries - one with the house spice, paprika based, and the other salt and pepper fries- freshly cooked- real chips. The guys were friendly and happy to explain and advise. A great place. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Was hungry after a few drinks next door in Muriels. Had the Xmas fries for £11, sharing with a friend. Chips with turkey, ham, stuffing pieces and cocktail sausages covered in gravy. Huge portion and hit the spot if a bit pricey. Kitchen staff a bit overwhelmed so bit of a wait for the food. Had to go next door for another drink as bar wasn't open.

Nice Mexican atmosphere, exceptionally friendly server who made us feel welcome and promptly delivered three very large meals. The midweek taco deal at £13 was great value given the quality and portion size of food. Also a nice location to sit and watch time go by in the busy shopping area of the city. Hard to see how you could go wrong with pablos given their variety, taste and various deals through the week

We went in because it was one of the few places open on Sunday night, but we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered super juicy and slightly spicy chicken tacos, and potatoes with cheese and bacon. The guys at the place are very nice, and the price is great, highly recommended!

Really amazing burgers, so fast, and really easy business, you order, and pay at the bar and then the burger will arrive to your table, no plates, no cutlery, just a burger ready to be enjoyed, you can decide if eat there or take them away. Juicy, flavoured, and fatty jejeje, the price was really good for the high cuality of the burgers.

Siamo stati da Pablos, perché era l'unico posto aperto alle 21 per poter mangiare qualcosa. Cucina "messicana" che in realtà dai sapori ricorda l'indiana. Il piccante ti blocca tutta la bocca (e io adoro il piccante). Pulizia del locale praticamente assente. Da evitare

Food was very good, would have liked the option of choosing how the burger was cooked. I like my red meat medium. Burger was still tasty none the less. Would highly recommend.

Burger was good. Wings were rotten because of buffalo sauce. Really need to put a sauce menu on the wings selection. If I hada known it was buffalo wouldve saved the money 😒

driver was lost way down the street,parked his car and didn't come back near the address, had to go find him myself in the rain and he still had no idea where he was even though we also added our address to the note because the drivers keep missing it on the app?

Ordered twice for delivery from here. Both times wrong itens sent. Food is descent but it would be nice to get what you actually ordered.

Lots of great menu options. We both had burgers and fries which were great. I also love the dips/sauces selection.

Whoa...don't believe the bad reviews from 2019/2020 - maybe COVID made it impossible for them to hold up to their normal standards...None of the people I saw there tonight had a bad experience! This place is "dead on" - which is the phase for PERFECT here in Belfast. Trust me, I am from California and know a good taco and margarita... Pablos scores off the scale in both! If you aren't looking closely, you might walk right past it (which would be terrible for you) it's a small restaurant and only seats about 16 people inside. But there is a much larger covered patio area in front. *They also do take-out * Besides the tacos and margaritas, the burgers are simply fabulous and the wings are equally as good. And yes, you can get a Guinness here!

We were next door in the bar and ordered from there. Absolutely terrible value and rubbish fast food - ok if you;re blocked so you don't see the bill!! I ordered the smokey, salt n chilli chips which were neither smokey, salty or even that tasty! My wife ordered a completely different portion of chips which tasted the same as mine. They say they take their chips seriously? What a joke - try taking your business seriously!! I also ordered buttermilk chicken and paid a £5 for it. They cut it into small chunks; must have thought they were feeding a cat!! It was an overcooked small strip - out of a freezer - out of a supermarket. They must have copied and pasted the description of the chicken from someone else's menu - save your money and bring a bag of crisps.

I didn't like the taste of the cheese they had on veggie fries at all. I don't know what it is but it was a very unpleasant taste. The burger was decent not the best for sure. I have to give credit to the staff because they were very friendly and welcoming. To bad I didn't like the food so much.

Really good vibes, excellent food and the staff are all sound. The windows open up too so you can sit in the shade while still enjoying the sunshine. Will definitely be back!

Wow. I can't recommend this place enough. The burger I had was probably the tastiest I've ever had, incredible flavours.... sat and had a pint while we waited, the barman was friendly. 5 stars all round from me!

Great burgers served on a busy street in the city centre. The bar is small inside and very informal/relaxed, perhaps a bit dark too. However the burgers are huge and dripping with sauce. You can defo share fries between two. The pablos seasoned ones are delicious. I saw somebody eating the chicken wings which also looked great! Thanks for the very friendly service.

The El Patron: Probably the direst most tasteless burger i've ever had. Really wanted to like this place but twice now the burger has been completely overcooked. To make it worse, I tried to point it out to the person in charge and they just agreed ("it was overcooked wasnt it") before turning their back. Better burgers to be had at 3am outside the Kremlin.

I really enjoyed the food at Pablos. I got the Narcos burger and thought it was extremely well made and tasty, if a little under-guac’ed. I had the salt & chilli fries but the spice was very mild. I tried the chocolate and the cinnamon churros and they were delicious. I’d love to try the tacos next time as I was told they’re really good. The staff were very nice and attentive. It can be a little difficult to sit in because the place is so small, I think they deserve a bigger restaurant!
