Nice full English breakfast, reasonably priced and friendly staff. Would highly recommend a visit if you're passing by

Cafe combined with a flower shop. Flowers outside make it look very pretty. Staff, one of who seemed to be the owner, were unfriendly (except the young bloke who was doing some DIY - he seemed friendly). Appeared to scowl at us when we walked in. Waitress seemed frustrated that I had a quick glance at different menu just as we were ordering (because I didn't realise there was two entirely different menus), and did not take my drink order. They also got my Mum's order wrong by missing the tomatoes off. I immediately saw the lady run off with her bag, so I'm assuming she was itching to go on break. Food was mid. £30 for our three meals, plus drinks. Decorated nicely. Seemed a tight squeeze but cosy. It was really cold in there though, and noticed a few tables sat with coats still on. Also, a few comments were made about someone else's review - about the clutter. Seemed quite unappreciative of customers leaving reviews of their experience. Don't think thats a great look. Wouldn't eat here again.

Been to Kc’s a few times now and the service has always been fast even at busy periods. The prices are very reasonable considering it’s all homemade and the meat is sourced from the local butcher. Nice touch having plants and flowers on sale too. Can highly recommend.

I really enjoyed lunch at Kcs cafe today. The welcome and food was first class. Also I saw that they do great pop up theme nights (Indian, Spanish etc) . Based on this experience I will definately be booking one of these upcoming events. Bravo

Not the best breakfast or the cheapest I’ve ever had . Sausages were great , black pudding, hash browns weren’t the best quality . No sauce or knifes on the table . Room felt cluttered, sat near the window you just bang your arms on stuff constantly , not a big enough room for so many plants everywhere.

Had a lovely meal at the bistro night. Food was great and service even better. At the end of the evening, the owner even gave us some lovely flowers. Looking forward to returning to have a lunch sometime soon. Cafe looks Great too.!

My friend and I went to an Indian themed night. We had a fantastic evening, it was a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and more than enough to eat. We are definitely going to another themed evening soon. I have also been to KC Cafe for breakfast, which was also delicious and well worth the money. Great local cafe, you won't be disappointed, Kelly and her team are fabulous!!

Had 2 large breakfast was the worse breakfast weve ever had only good thing was the tea and who served us not be returning Eggs was hard over cooked to be fair like they had been sat for hrs all crispy was just horrid sorry dont mean to be rude, black pudding undercooked and looked worse for wear maybe got stuck on hotplate ,sausages hard on one side im assuming they had been sat and reheated,beans and tomatoes mixed together may not be your fault to be fair, hash browns sat in beans & toms so was soggy but again not really your fault and only had about 5 muchrooms maybe get bigger plates for the large breakfast could ask if want beans or toms or put in little bowls or put other end of plate also put hashbrowns away from beans & toms to save them getting soggy

I ordered 3 afternoon tea boxes to take away for my mums 90th birthday. There was an amazing and plentiful selection of sandwiches, cakes, fruit and more. The dietary and fussy kids requirements were met, no problem! Will definitely order again.

I visited with friends for tapas night. Fabulous food and such good value. Lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff. You can also take your own drinks which is a big bonus. I've previously visited for breakfast which is also excellent value and there are also daily specials and homemade cakes. There are also many gluten free options.

Ate there for the first time today. The cafe is beautiful, Kelly is a great host, really quick service and the food was lovely and so reasonably priced. Also there were a good selection of plants available to buy. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

A cafe like they used to be… with friendly staff, a good honest menu, and prices from years ago…. You will get a warm welcome, a good menu, speedy service and a shock at the (low) prices. Try it! They also sell,plants from outside with similarly ridiculous prices!

Such a brilliant cafe with a welcoming, friendly and generous family vibe. Food is consistently great, with good quality produce at a very reasonable price. Staff are always attentive and accommodating with fast friendly service. I come most weeks and love it.

Food good but customer service usually excellent very poor today. Told to finish up drinks as they had reserved our table to someone else Rushed out to accommodate and blonde girl shouted across a full room you haven't paid your meal. I have never been so embarrassed.Old owners never treated us like this before have been coming for 3 years in total, will not be coming back.

** Gluten free breakfast ** We had a lovely experience at KC’s cafe. The menu doesn’t state gluten free but they do cater for gluten free and I could choose anything off the menu. To my surprise they have gluten free sausages (They’re hiding under the toast) and even gluten free bread for toast (Very rare encounter for us to get toast too!) I really appreciated how I was asked if it was okay that the hash browns are cooked in the same oil as something that contained gluten which is a big no for someone with coeliac but I was very impressed that they checked and I was compensated with something else to make up for the hash brown. I thoroughly enjoyed my gluten free breakfast and will definitely be back :)

Decent breakfast. Love that you can take the pooch in. Service was good, very friendly. Only criticism is the meat may have been pre-cooked as the bacon was rock hard. The pooch took care of it for us. Would return and ask if can be cooked for less time next time :)

Went there this morning and was very impressed. Fantastic service, didn't feel like anything would be an effort. I had the large breakfast, which was cooked to perfection. The other chap I was with had scrambled egg on toast with baked beans. Again cooked just how he wanted it. The place is very clean and has a fantastic menu with lots of choice. The food above with two quality cups of tea came to £13. Very good value. Will definitely be visiting again.

Typical Spoons with good value selections, free hot beverage refill, friendly, quick, efficient service. Little bit dark inside and toilets are upstairs, but we enjoyed our meal and could talk without the TV or music blaring

Super friendly and 4 legged friendly ( very rare). Both my wife and our for 4 legged family have been here a few times . To be honest we always have a very warm welcome and breakfast freshly cooked and hot. Hosts are very professional and courteous a true testament to al the hard work they provide. Would we visit again always

Called in after hearing about it on the radio, arrived and got greeted by a lovely couple, who made sure we had everything we needed, we had the full English and it was lovely, with a cup of tea which was spot on, the breakfast was everything i wanted and cooked fresh, it was delicious, highly recommend this place, will be going back.

We found this place by chance, being in the area for the local art shoo. We ordered a vegan stir fry with falafel and brown toast, a hearty breakfast (bacon, sausage, fried egg, black pudding, mushrooms, toast and a tuna melt toastie. The vegan stir fry had tomato, mushroom, peppers and spinach. There was a touch of heat, but mild it was very tasty and filling and we were assured that the toast and butter were both vegan. I should add, I'm not vegan, but it does make a healthier option at times. The meat I the hearty breakfast was good quality- this was much better than we have had elsewhere. There's an option to make this healthier by changing the way the egg is cooked or stopping out items. And the tuna melt toasties was lovely. The atmosphere was good. We were in not long before closing, there was a cheerful feeling about the place and it felt very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Just popped in for a coffee while we were in Gedling this morning. What a lovely place and 2 lovely ladies looking after the guests. I can only eat pureed food owing to a medical condition. They were so accommodating of my problem, it made me feel so happy to be there after some of the animosity I have received in places. Also the latte and cakes were great too., we will be returning soon. Thank you ladies

Went there as a couple for breakfast, one small and one hearty. Both came with a large instant coffee but my partner opted for a latte for an extra £1.60. The meal was freshly cooked and well presented. The cafe is very clean and staff were friendly. Staff told us about Motown/soul evenings they have which sound fun and good value for money. Will definitely be back.

Had a delicious latte with an added toddy of spiced rum. Just the job on these chilly days. Going to sample hot chocolate with a dash of baileys next time... 😋

Such a lovely and quaint cafe! I was their singer for a private function. I was made to feel so very welcome. I chose a wide variety of songs and everyone had fun 🤩 It was a beautiful gig, brilliant hosts and really good and nice guests. My parents also have visited a few times and they love it too.
