We were recommended The Woolpack Inn by our hosts at the B&B we were staying at.We were so impressed that we ate there for three of the five nights we were there.The staff were very welcoming and the food was superb.The meal sizes were very generous even the light bite options just a shame these filled us up as we never got to try the dessert menu ! Would definitely visit again if in the area

Warm and welcoming. A lovely pub. Great food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended. The portion size of the 'light bites' menu was still very good and more than enough for our 75-year-old appetites.

Inexpensive Sunday lunch carvery

Lovely meal and Jazz in the restaurant (separate room from the bar). Attentive and friendly staff, superb service and lovely food. Look forward to another Jazz Night!

Had been several years previously and tbh, it was just as good today as it was then. The carvery was in abundance with a good selection of meats, veg, and various sauces to accompany the meats. Staff were helpful and friendly. Price, good value for money. Would definitely make a return trip.

The food was delicious I had the light lunch which was £9.95 for two courses so I had chicken korma that was tasty and just the right portion size which also came with a nan bread. Followed by the warm chocolate fudge cake and ice cream it tasted amazing all freshly cooked. Staff were helpful and friendly and food was brought out in a respectful time with no long waits. Would definitely recommend

Lovely local pub. Great food and genuine friendly staff, which makes or breaks an experience in any pub.

Buffet for wake of 50 people was catered for to include a selection of sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls and eight types of cake. The food was delicious. The service excellent. I would recommend this pub as a good venue for any function that needs catering for. Nothing was any trouble and you could have as much tea and coffee as you wished. The bar was also open. It was possible for a tab to be opened so that one person could pay for drinks at the end. This pub really needs to advertise it's back room as a good venue. Parking excellent.

Great welcome, smiling happy staff, very friendly. Food looked and tasted great, came with family for a late birthday dinner. My grandson was quite tearful and they even tried to cheer him up. The inn was clean and had a good atmosphere x

Great find. Recently moved from Essex where most pubs cater for either youth or sports customers. The staff are friendly. Nice range of beers and the food excellent with good portions. We walk through the door and our drinks are being poured. A great example of a country pub. Cheers girls!

Went for the Sunday carvery. Staff polite and friendly, reasonably priced, enjoyed the food including a nice dessert. Does feel slightly dated but that wouldn't put me off and I would go again.

Only one choice of potatoes, roast. Cauliflower cheese looked like rice pudding. Desert was amazing though

Fantastic food and great staff. Highly recommended. Try the baked potato with pulled pork, it's delicious. The carvery is very good and so are the deserts

My Local pub, often very quiet whenever we go but do often see a full car park. Nothing too fancy, suitable for wheelchairs. I can't remember the last time the somewhat limited menu changed, if it is ever changed it needs burgers adding to it. I had steak and ale 'pie' with chips and peas which was tasty, my friend had vegetarian Lasagne which was nice. Dessert, crumble with custard very hot.

Decent carvery on the Sunday we visited(£11.95) Staff were great. Interior quite traditional seemed quite popular.

Good old fashioned pub & grub, you won't go hungry. Had a really good evening at the bingo night, good prizes and a money game, plus you can have a meal. They also host quiz night's for local charities, with a sausage and chips supper.

Recently move to the area and have used the Woolpack Inn a couple of times, staff are very friendly and it has a comfortable feel to the pub, the food is good, plentiful and is decently priced it also has plenty of parking, I would definitely recommend it and we will be returning again.

Pub food mostly dining not enough comfy chairs

Whilst doing some work on the road outside this establishment I parked my work van in the car park to unload the machine I was using. The owner came out and was so rude to me about my van and my work telling me he didn't care what I was doing, I wasn't doing it in his car park or outside the pub. I explained I would be there no more than 20-30 mins but he told me I wasn't doing it so i left and asked if I could park over the road at the village stores car park. They were only too happy to oblige and brought me out a cold drink and an ice cream later which was very much appreciated. I would have gone to the pub for some lunch but that guy upset me so much I didn't bother. I had to report the incident as I have permission and permits to park where needed to unload the machine I use so unfortunately the incident was logged with both my employer and the highways department, and what he said was recorded on my vans dashcam. I go around most villages in West Norfolk working on the roads and verges and this is the first time I've ever had problems with anyone, especially with parking the van whilst I get prepped or actually doing my work. Bottom line is Because he chose to be so rude to me when there really wasn't any need too I'll never set foot in his pub ever.

Just had a Sunday lunch at this establishment. A great atmosphere and the waitresses were very good. We had a laugh. Food was excellent. Well cooked and served. If you've got a big appetite then you will be well pleased. Thanks to all concerned. First time here but won't be our last.

We went here for my birthday. There were 9 of us. The food came quickly and the staff were very friendly. We use this place quite often but usually at lunch times and not evenings. We can always rely on good value for money, but would love to see more veg than chips and peas on the menu.

Funny pub didn't have the atmosphere,food not the best

Called in as we were passing on our way back to caravan site we were staying at to have a drink, had a Sunday Roast, it was lovely, staff very freindly and helpful, toilets very clean

Beautiful gatden, good food and friendly service

Visited here today for the first time with my dad and husband. Booked our table in advance and had a choice of seating, which is always a very welcome bonus. . Lady behind the bar very friendly and prompt with taking orders, serving food and clearing plates. Bottled cider was a little on the expensive side ( hence the 4 star) however overall a really good experience. Food was served promptly and was very plentiful, hot and tasty. My dad had the steak and ale pie and said it was the best steak he has had in a long time. My husband loved his vegetable lasagne. Very Covid safe. Would definitely return.

Had a family pre Christmas gathering of 22 people, the staff and owners made us feel really welcome. We had the carvery and it was very good, good choice of vegetables and everything was piping hot.

We've used this place on and off for a number of years now. When we lived in the immediate area we were regulars. The food has always been good, whoever was running the establishment. Even when the management wasn't overly clever. Recently we have moved back to the area and gave started using the pub again. We are stunningly impressed. The service is excellent, the staff convivial and the food is not only plentiful for your money but also very well prepared and served. The quality of the meals is absolutely top notch and this is exacerbated by the speed at which it is served. We would heartily recommend this pub to anybody. Wonderful.

Plenty of food at a reasonable price. The meat at the carvery was nice, but the roast potatoes and the pork crackling tasted as if they had been deep fried. There were plenty of other vegetables but roast spuds are my favourite, so I was disappointed. The restaurant staff were very efficient and friendly. But the need more staff in the bar on a busy Sunday lunch time.

Went to the carvery, was quite disappointed as it had been recommended. Beef was only served "well done", when I queried it I was told that it's what everyone wants. I suppose that true if you like your beef tough & tasteless! The pork was quite good. The roast potatoes tasted like the potatoes has been boiled a day or two previously. The peas & carrots were verging on mushy & the Yorkshire pudding was rock hard. Everything looked and tasted rather tired. Nice beer garden tho', sat out for and hour after with coffee. Oh, no cream for coffee was a bummer too.
