Food good. Not so friendly but polite

I’m taking the time to reply, mainly after seeing Adela’s daft review! If you throw up 10mins after a meal it isn’t the meal you just ate that was the problem. And I wouldn’t get ‘mixed meat’ anywhere if you have such a weak stomach. I mirror the other glowing reviews. It’s up there with Bitson’s as the joint best chippy locally, and that includes the coast, with the added bonus of very generous portions. We get two large chips and split it between 4 of us and we still have enough left to recook and add to a meal the next day. The fish are as big as your lower leg and that’s no exaggeration. The lady is very nice and always remembers how we like things (including my free scraps without having to ask). Recommended!

Best fish and chips in England. Fresh fish, quality chips, biggest portions. It always leaves me extremely satisfied. The staff are also great.

I ordered mix meat and chips and worst mix meat ever . It was dry and solid hard, taste very off and it was at least couple of days old . I ate couple of pieces and 10 minutes later ,been sick . I will never go there again .

Really really nice fish and chips! Very reasonably priced too. Portions are huge. We order the 'mini' cod and chips and are always full after. Nice staff.

Last 2 times I've been here I've had a bad stomach or been sick.i would give this place a miss

A little rough on the chips, but other than that, not too bad. Good curry sauce
