The Wok Stop in Stafford

My go to place for takeaway. Food is really fresh and tasty, also quite healthy if you wanted it to be. Staff are very friendly and helpful too.

I visited with a date, I was trying to impress her, so I took her to the second set takeaway in town( behind the marble house).I order a thick egg noodles with broccoli, peppers, chicken and pork with Hong Kong style sauce. Oh my gosh it was scrummy 😋

Brilliant service allowing the whole family to choose exact ingredients for individual stir fries. Our order satisfied a family of four with very different tastes (including two fussy children). The ingredients were fresh and tasty - would definitely recommend.

Great food as always, poor experience. Ordered for delivery this evening as I have Covid, food took 2 hours 10 minutes to arrive. I called for an update and the staff member didn’t even apologise, just advised 10 minutes although I waited a further 25. When it arrived drink was missing, however after the lack of customer service when I rang the first time, I decided to just take the loss. I have ordered for collection many times and had no issue, so I just advise to avoid using the delivery option.

Excellent food from the Wok Stop Stafford. Food portions are very generous and ingredients fresh and very tasty. The variety of sauces as well on offer a great choice. Especially like the curry sauces and recommend the chicken balls as well!

We use wokstop and have been great, we ordered tonight waited nearly 2 hours for the order , first of all went to the wrong street and second mine and my wife's meal were missing ingredients we had ordered, not good from a normally perfect place .

We ordered our food whilst travelling home from a weekend away and collected en route. When we arrived at pretty much exactly the collection time we had an extended wait and due to current restrictions we had to wait outside in the cold...luckily the food was worth the wait! This was not our first trip and usually the service is better than this. There's a wide variety of choice with the venue and you can create your own meal to your own tastes. Overall it's very good and we'll return.

So I am a relatively new convert to noodles. Only ever thought they were slimey and tasteless... or at least they were when I made them! Previously only had them from the 'W' chain but didn't really like then a few years ago I was lucky enough to be treated to a dinner at 'Fat Noodle' in Brisbane. Nice but not worth the £££! So today after a week trying to get online to work from home I decided to treat myself for a take-away. Well honestly I couldn't find much in the fridge. I didn't want chinese, pizza etc so when I found that Wok Stop delivered I thought that sounds nice. I can't drive and am S-I alone while my hubby is working away so take-away is my only option. And wow! I had Udon noodles with veg and prawns plus Singapore sauce.. Now I love food although I am not able to eat much at one time, and I love feisty food. Am often disappointed with Singapore sauce from the Chinese, this one did not dissapoint! Wow did it pack a punch even I who loves hot food may have to downgrade next time. And there WILL be a next time! Just a few notes: I got a medium with hope for left-overs but I may have a whole dinner left after getting totally full. Still it will be better than Marmite on toast again for lunch tomorrow. When the menu says hot IT IS!!! The spring rolls were lovely but huge... again one for another day Also had to order some S&P chips to make up my minimum order, but if you have an Acti-fryer have learned that at least chippy chip shop chips re-heat very well in that. So will use them another day. My only issue would be that minimum order is £10 with delivery £4 probably good for a family but not so good for someone home alone at the moment. Still silver lining I had a lovely dinner and enough left-overs to last for a while. I am queen of left-overs. When hubby comes home I will definitely send him down for collection which I believ they are still doing if you get there. Fab! Plus the delivery driver brought it here at least 30 mins before the website said it would be delivered and was properly hot marvellous. Would certainly reccommend

Well we "treated" ourselves to a delivery - mixed views. My teenage son enjoyed his rice with beef, chicken and spicy sauce, also his chips. Husband said his salt & pepper chicken and chips was ok. I was very dissapointed. Fine noodles were in very short pieces. Chicken ok but pork very fatty. I ordered mine to include baby corn - there was none though ample water chestnuts. Sauce average and rather drowned everything. Spring rolls below average. I shan't bother again

any food from here is a good deal. what ever you wish for they most proberly have it cooking for you their and then for you.I just ring them up and put my order in and by the time i get there its all ready for me

This place is fab, if you have ever been to "Subway" it is basically like a oriental version. You choose your noodles or rice, then your 4 ingredients (meat and vegetarian options available) and some 3 extra additions if desired. It's cooked in front of you. There handed to you in cardboard takeaway containers but you can eat in if you want. There are 4/5 stools and to bar style window tables. We will order from here again.

Well worth a visit and great food. Being able to choose from a wide selection of fresh food is great. Tailored to everyone's tastes.

Food from here really is excellent. The portions are very generous and filling. Not to mention it tastes so nice! Very impressed with the service each time I have come into the shop and never disappointed with the food. Will certainly be returning, hopefully more regularly :)

Perfect for a work lunch break. Full of flavour. Not once been disappointed. Prices very good for size.. even small you would think that wont fill me up... yes it does. Cant wait till they start delivering!

If I’m short on time for a meal or working shift at work it’s an easy place to pick up something hot and filling. Good varied menu and good value for the money

Ordered this while in Stafford for a trip and food lovely. You choose your base- either rice or noodles, 4 things including veg and beef, prawn, chicken and your sauce and they make it fresh for you. The portions were very good too

We were blown away with the tastiness of the noodles we took home. My wife had prawns - not just two or three but at least eight in a medium sized portion and all delicious. I had char sui pork (roast pork) which was delightful. It was not long before we were back again for more of the same. Great food which I highly recommend

Me and my partner have wanted to try wok stop since opening in Stafford but always seemed to go somewhere else, the noodles were absolutely amazing with so much flavour and we also had the chicken balls which weren’t greasy like at some Chinese’s are! Will definitely be returning!

the boxes look small but they do pack it in and the options are awesome the best singapore curry sauce up north

Love the food from the wok stop . Ordered online and food was ready when I arrived . Easy to follow menu , food was excellent .

Phoned in an order which had to be recooked as wrong on arrival to collect, on getting home this had been done wrong as well. Normally good must have been an off day.

Pick your ingredients, watch them stir fry it. A medium-size box will fill most folks. Prices are reasonable--for a quick meal, this works well.

This is a great way to get good fresh food quickly. Proving fast food doesn’t have to be processed and fried. The menu is easy to follow - you chose your size - choose core ingredients - then your sauce to flavour your dish. Such a great idea and I for one am glad this franchise has come to Stafford.

You can easily eat noodle to excess with Wok Stop as they are a great meal with a decent choice of fillings.

Food was ok, nothing special and wasn’t quite as nice as the last time I visited and the prices seamed to have increased again. Also if the food is fresh like so many have stated then why use Sulfur Dioxide???

Popped in for a quick lunch. The menu was varied and easy to understand. The service was quick and the food tasty. Could do with more seating.

Ordered from here a few times and always had a good meal. Noodles are amazing. Chicken balls and prawn crackers are very tasty too.

After being served by possibly the most lacklustre girl ever, I found my noodles to be extremely bland and the tofu in them was raw. I asked for a refund as tofu should not be served raw. I was told by 'Hon' that tofu is a bland ingredient - well Hon, you obviously can't cook tofu and of course it's bland if it's completely raw. The vegetables seemed like they were just frozen and the Wok Stop has no hygiene rating on display.

Been there a few times and it is great, get my order fast and it is fresh as they make it right in front of you and the food is always tasty.

Eaten here a few times. Food is normally tasty but they missed my sauce off the meal.....not the first time they've missed stuff. Last order missed the prawns out. Pretty annoying to find by the time you get home. I wont bother giving them another...

I am a lover of wok stop but OMG tonight what a taste sensation!! I was worried not the normal bloke on but I couldn't have been more wrong!! The taste was amazing and still is!! When I ask for hot curry I expect it...

Thought we would give the wok stop a try and wasn't disappointed. Food was excellent. Easy to choose menu . The large meal is definitely plenty. Will definitely use wok stop again

The Wok Stop is perfect if you're in the mood for noodles. The variety is so large that you can quite literally make it your own. Any visit to Stafford wouldn't be perfect without a visit to the wok stop!

Been here a few times and always been impressed apart from today when they messed up my order and one was for a vegetarian so we couldn't just lump it!!!! It's not the first time it's happened. Think I won't bother in the future.

I used to work on Newport Road not far from The Wok Stop, I must say the idea of a Chinese noodle takeaway in the middle of Town is a great idea. There is a lot of choice and the food is freshly prepared at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this place, especially for a lunchtime meal.

Easy parking to the rear of the shop. Very pleasant staff who greeted me with a big smile. Simple to order and cooked right in front of you with tasty fresh produce. Went for a large box but should have just had a medium as the portion sizes are generous. Innovative to be able to choose exactly what was going into the dish and most importantly it tasted great. The place is a spotlessly clean and has a vibrant atmosphere. The food was cooked with the minimum of oil and as such made for a relatively healthy alternative to the traditional takeaways. A real asset to the town and we will almost certainly be back again in the near future.

Needed something quickly for the kids on the way back from the theatre, so called in to The Wok Stop. Very friendly, easy to choose your meal options, and very generous with the fillings ( Prawns, chicken etc).

Good food, quick service, sometimes mess orders up and prices have been put up since i last visited but it is good food and a bit different from everything else in stafford

Excellent take away. By far the best place for noodles in town. Made to order so you are guaranteed hot fresh food. Wontons are delicious. Best to order by phone then collect as can be busy

Had a family trip here. KIDS AND adults alike thought the food was great. Will defo return. Car park at th back down side road. Food was tasty and still really hot after a ten minute car ride home.

I ordered a takeaway and they got the order completely wrong even though I explained it to them clearly several times.I had to do an extra 30 mile trip to collect the correct order and no apology or compensation was offered. AVOID!

Popped in for some lunch after being told about this place by a friend.The menu choice is simple but effective and the service is good.All the food was cooked for us there and then and the sauces were really tasty, the large was a big meal and too much for a lunch really.We also had some ribs to share between the 3 of us and the portion size was good on those as well, well worth the money.I will definitely be going back.

Eaten here half a dozen times, it's ideal. It's a kind of Chinese Subway, pick the base, (rice, noodles, vermicelli) add a few more goodies,(prawns, chicken, beef, char sui pork etc) mix in some veg and finish off with a good dollop of sauce.Decent quality ingredients, cooked in front of your eyes by a nice bunch of staff - what's not to like?

Ordered placed via phone for 1 box. Arrived after 15 minutes to wait over 20 minutes for order to be completed. Walk-in customers receiving their completed order while I waited with staff showing complete incompetency to finalise orders in an orderly fashion. Food was prepared once I questioned about the very lengthy wait. Food was average but good value for money. Will not be visiting due to lack poor customer service and organisation.

cool place, friendly staff, awesome food. really nice relaxed vibe to this place, the kids loved it and so did we. we did have to wait a little but we could see everything was cooked fresh so that was ok with us.

This place is great if you have no idea how to stir fry vegetables, noodles and meat yourself. If you are blessed with these culinary skills however you're better off going across the road to Tesco, buying your ingredients and cooking at home, judging from our experience this would be the quickest, cheapest and tastiest option. We placed our order online for collection and were told it would be ready to be picked up in 30 mins, my partner went to collect the food and was given somebody else's order first then he was made to wait an hour before being given the food he'd originally paid for. the food it's self was very disappointing, bland, not worth the money and definitely nothing to shout about. Massive waste of time!

This is my first visit to Wok Stop and it will not be my last!Hon Man Yip is a noodle GOD!I highly recommend this place - it's worth getting fat over :)

tried it,, minimal meat in it, i mean tiny morsels, a sauce very similar to pot noodle curry and even thou Singapore curry flavor, nothing like it Probably good for hipsters but even a low rating Chinese takeaway would be better value and taste.

Myself and my girlfriend though we would try it out as heard some good reviews about the place. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We picked what we wanted to eat and straight away it was being cooked in front of our eyes. Just after we had ordered the place got really busy it was a Friday afternoon at lunch time. Will defo pop back in again

Had a mix of beef / chicken in blackbean sauce with noodles had the large and wow it was large! Staff were fantastic! Great meal will be back to try another !!!:)

Had my first meal at wok stop tonight. Impressed with how fresh and tasty it was. I had the mild curry sauce and enjoyed the fact it wasn't greasy like normal Chinese food is. Will definitely be returning.

My partner ordered our meal for me to collect on my way home from work the meal was meant to be ready for 8:20pm but I didn't receive our meal until 20mins after this time which I thought okay must be worth the wait... No it wasn't at all food! They didn't get the order correct we chose to have duck, chicken and roast pork but what came was straggly bits of chicken and beef! And my partners had mushrooms in which we didn't order so we gave them a phone call to say it wasn't correct. We had to go back down to collect the correct order which when we finally sat down to eat wasn't anything special we hardly had any meat and what duck there was it was chewy and unedible! You also would of thought as they got the order Incorrect that they would either refund us or give us something for the inconvenience of having to drive all of the way back down! Keeping the customer happy costs nothing ! With slow service, food that could be improved and misreable staff I don't think we will be returning ! I cant believe you have a good rating seems like the standards have slipped! Feel completely ripped off.Oh and not to mention my noodles were swimming in hoisin sauce which just tasted of salt.

I've tried The Wok Stop a couple of times now and been really impressed. The food is so fresh, full of flavour and very reasonable, also can't believe how much a small portion can be so filling! Must say anybody going should try the mini vegetable spring rolls as they are amazing!

I live in Wigan and I only pop up to Stafford every now and then to visit friends and every time I do, Wok Stop is first on my list of places to get food. I have been here so many times now and from visit one, Wok Stop has not disappointed. Staff are always super friendly and helpful, food is always served really quick and is always great quality and tastes great. Don't be fooled by the box sizes, they pack the food in really tight and it is always fresh and piping hot. The prices are extremely reasonable also.Only downside is that they don't deliver yet, but it is absolutely worth the travel to eat! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easy to order online and food was waiting for us when we arrived 30 mins later to pick it up. Food was hot and delicious. Felt healthier than many take a ways and not too salty. Good prices. I had a medium sized meal which was still more than enough for me. My husband managed the large. Will visit again.

When last week for the first time good portion size freshly cooked cannot wait to go again The wife had small portion I had large two excellant meals for £10.00 would be the iceing on the cake if they delivered

Plenty of these types of places in the big cities so we are very lucky to have a noodle bar in little old Stafford. It works a bit like subway. Pick your base (noodles or rice) choose your meat fish veg then choice of sauces. Simple. Chef stir fries while you wait. Great value filling tasty and fresh. Actually seems very healthy as well. Will return again and again. Will be moving up the tripadvisor ranks very soon I would guess.

Only been open 2 months & the demand is soo high just goes to show how good the place/ food is. We have had a take away from here on numerous occasions & every time it is brilliant. Portions are generous, staff are polite & friendly, lots of choice & its healthy what more could you want? Becoming a regular customer

Visited The Wok Stop on a number of occasions now, the food is outstanding and healthy. The portions are a nice size aswell, the staff know what they are doing well worth a visit.
