The Wishing Well in Hertsmere

Fantastic pub, lovely staff especially Mark. Stayed in London for 6 weeks for work commitments and the good companion easily became my new local. All staff have an approachable can do attitude nothing is too much of an ask. Thank you for being so lovely to a london outsider! X

We stayed in borehamwood for the night having travelled from tenby to watch a Tottenham game. We visited a couple of places first that weren't very good to say the least! In this place, whilst at the bar waiting for service, we encountered the bar woman who was amazing! During our time there, I saw her kick someone out for breaching their rules and also saw her stop another from using his motorbike after too many beers! Great place, great beer but more importantly, awesome stunning staff!

Having popped into see my father the pace has been updated and feels fresh and clean. My dad a frequent visitor has only pos Itives to say .The landlady and the staff top class as well as the service and welcome . He enjoys the pool and darts and at the same time watches the horse racing . Although not serving food they welcome you to bring your own and enjoy a beer . Pop in and say hello . Dave cap .

Fantastic atmosphere and great prices it is conveniently situated and has friendly barstaff it's surrounded by public transport so is easily accessible

A family gathering in this pub that went wrong. Fine if you want to go to a pub that the landlord has chosen Customers that can do or say anything that they want .make sure that you just sit there and do nothing as the landlord does not want I quote "bad energy " in his pub . A very rude attitude he has towards Customers if you are not in his selected few..duvh a shame that s old tradional Irish pub has gone down hill

The pub should be shut down as the ladies toilet must have a bust pipe because when I went to use the toilet I was met with a river of water at toilet entrance and I could see water constantly flowing out of pipe going into toilet to flush waste away it is filthy

Left Wetherspoons to visit this pub during the heat wave, aircon, nice beer, friendly staff, comfy sets. be visiting next week

Pub is OK. Unsure why people refer to Borehamwood as London as it's Hertfordshire, but guess I'll get used to that. Enfield people think they are London too. New to the area and checking out local pubs. This is OK. Doesn't bother me if people are friendly or not as I'm there for a drink and to watch the football. Big airy basic pub. What you see is what you get. Will definitely go there again on occasions, especially to read by paper after work for a quiet drink or to watch minor footy games. Would I recommend it ... probably Yes, but not for groups of girls or couples.

Being told it’s not a public toilet when the rest of the group are at the bar, and then being ID’d for a wee is disgusting. What a good way to lose 8 peoples business. Horrible bloke.

Nice friendly pub without airs and graces. Friendly staff who are attentive and no waiting for drink. busier on a Saturday evening but service was still consistent and friendly.

Popped in before going to watch the match at borehamwood (5 min walk away) great for sports the owner even turned the tvs up when the match started without being asked first. Was greeted with plastic glasses which was disappointing as some other away fans had glass. I cant have been that intimidating as I was with my 75 yr old father. Still a nice little pub though

Lively on a Saturday night, can be a little dead during the week. Good service, great for watching sport. Pub can be a bit warm at times and beer is not the cheapest but ok.

Will never visit this pub again. Staff so unfriendly. Would not recommend. Such a pity as have a wide variety of sporting events to view

Came in to watch a football match staff very friendly beer was good and reasonably priced and the big plus the toilets were really clean sensibly placed TVs so everyone could watch the game. Nice experience

Nos acababa de terminar nuestras reuniones y buscando un pub y también para ver el deporte. Fuimos a este pub es increíble el personal era increíble y tenía gran variedad de cervezas y muchos televisores para el deporte. El bar estaba limpia y me pareció un buen viejo pub de Londres. Sin duda vamos a volver allí cada vez que estoy en Borehamwood.

El martes 7 de 2014 Octubre estuve en el The Wishing Tree en Boreham Wood. Yo estaba en mi camino a la televisión Estudios para ver la grabación de habitación!01. He viajado desde el otro lado de Londres y, antes de unirse a la cola, que quería tres cosas: una visita a la cisterna, una comida y una bebida. El primero de ellos se ha convertido en la prioridad, al entrar en el pub que dirigió directamente para los caballeros. Un hombre separado de los otros dos que estaba parado con en el bar y me preguntó si podía ayudar. Le dije que iba al baño. Él en un hueco su mano en la oreja y me pidió que repetiré. Lo hice. Me preguntó a repetir otra vez. Otra vez, repetir lo que me habían dicho. Él dijo, "Eso es tres veces y nunca le dijo que por favor." éste era claramente el encargado. Pregunté si podía por favor usar el retrete? El Director señaló, segunda a la derecha. Mientras estuve allí, decidí no aguantar esto, y que vaya a otro sitio para mi comida. En el bar, nos dirigimos a la salida. Cuando llegué, me llamó. Él no me gustó el hecho de que no había dicho gracias. Comencé a decirle que tenía intención de comprar una comida y una bebida, pero ... No hay nada más que eso. agarró el brazo con ambas manos y me impulsó a gran velocidad hacia la puerta, me decía que de todos los otros de mi tipo de personas que vienen para usar los servicios sin un centavo en sus bolsillos. Él me confundió, literalmente. Fuera, había un pequeño grupo de fumadores de los clientes. Les dije que había sólo me pasó a mí. No parecía en lo más mínimo sorprendida. Ellos sugirieron otros bares donde poder comer. Al final me fui a Zevi's, un restaurante turco cerca, donde me trataron con cortesía. De hecho, cuando el propietario oír que me iba a los estudios, me preguntó si me aparecía en un show. Así que no fue nada que hacer con mi apariencia que provocaron este ataque físico. Podría añadir que soy 67 años con una historia de la cirugía a corazón abierto, y en la actualidad, ya que entonces, sufren de hipertensión pulmonar. El propietario es un peligro para el público. Te sugiero que beber en el pub al otro lado de la carretera, bastante cerca de los estudios Universal. Estarás mucho más seguras.
