Slightly odd location, feels like a US highway truck stop! Inside definitely dated. However, food was decent, big portions which means its really good value for money if you all pitch in together for a mixed buffet

Had a great meal at Winner City and the service was very slick. Arron was extremely helpful and polite. We went as a group of 40 and we were all serviced very efficiently

The food we ordered today was very bad. The salt and pepper squid we ordered was really hard to bite and the batter was very soggy. It smelt like it was expired. We ordered king prawn fried rice but they gave us Singapore friend rice. Also, we ordered udon noodles and they put so much black pepper and we couldn't eat it. £60 was actually a waste as we threw the food in the bin. We will never order food from here again.

Excellent service excellent food is really was exceptional. Not been for many years as we now live up north but pleased to see something's don't change.

We drive past Winner city a lot on our way to other places and have always wondered what it’s like so took a punt on a Saturday in a heatwave and was thrilled that we did. The interior is lovely and my son (4) was very impressed which reminded us both of our first time at a Chinese restaurant over 30 years ago when it felt exotic! Service was perfect and the food was fantastic. Really fresh and absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back again. A few reviews we read has commented ok service but I think since covid it’s been harder for restaurants to find people, we had a few trainees but they were a delight and very attentive.

Not happy with service - forgot some of our order then had to wait for my main whilst rice etc.. on table. All way thro the meal the telephone was constantly ringing - this was so annoying - they never answered it once!! The main upset on leaving was as my husband left and I went to pay the lady chased my husband out saying you not paid in front of all the diners!!! I assume from our appearance tattoos etc.. she assumed that of us. On returning to me at the counter were I was paying NO APOLOGY - we will defo not recommend or return!!!

We (a party now of 5, was 6) have been coming here a number of years but probably not any more. We came just before Christmas when the food was as good as ever (except it didn't all come out together). There were staffing problems. We were there on Saturday when service was appalling and no celebration of Chinese New Year. Had it not been for Aaron we might have left after the starter. 4 hot starters followed by 1 cold starter. We had eaten the hot starters by then. We were then given cold bowls for the main course but Aaron replaced these with warmer bowls and brought the plate we had asked for. We asked to speak to Ellie. We were told she was too busy. We were asked to wait 10 minutes. We decided not to bother. We have always left a generous tip but not this time. No-one was supervising the young waiting on staff and Aaron was running about like a madman trying to please everyone.

We went as a family of 6 Sunday at 5pm . Starters were fab. Finished around 620pm. One hour later still had no mains courses, by the time they came my beef and bean spouts were cold and bland, and crispy sheerded beef was not spicy . But over all ok but won’t rush back sorry

been here the last couple of weeks on a Sunday between 12-4 , offer a £9.20 set starter /main and side it was lovely and fresh , great staff , will be a regular couldn't complain about anything

We had our first takeaway meal since last November before there kitchens closed due to a fire. They did not disappointed, the meal was excellent, hot and fresh. Glad they’re back.

This was before the worst of covid. the winner city have used covid to refurbish the restaurant which is nearly completed. i took my friends and family for an all you can eat meal, the food was excellent as usual and a great price too the speed with which they completed each course was tremendous. the team are friendly and very hospitable as soon as your glass was empty they asked do you need more.we were there for about 3 hours because it was a birthday bash and they did not try to usher us out as other restaurants do. i really do like the food and atmosphere at the winner city. do try it out you will not be disapointed everyone in our party thought it was excellent the food was so tasty.

Just had my first takeaway booked online. Arrived in my time slot and it was ready in a few minutes. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Got home and enjoyed the fresh tasting dishes we had ordered. Now sitting well satisfied with a glass enjoying a film. Like it.

Dropped in on a whim. Pleasantly surprised. Very tasty food, quick service and good value on the Sunday special menu. Food tasted freshly prepared and staff were superb.

It’s gone down hill ,, a party of 8 and two hours for starters to arrive , £173 bill , I’m very disappointed it used to be great food and service,,, to the management sort it out or we won’t be back ,, you ripped us of !!!

Have had food from here before and it was okay, but this week, ordered a takeaway and it was disgusting! Chicken wings were more like budgie wings they were that small. Special fried rice tasted of nothing, and the chicken and black bean sauce, the only thing with taste was the peppers in it. Never using again.

Went for Sunday Buffet. Good choice of main courses and plenty of it. It could have been a little hotter. Service was OK although a little brusk. The only thing that let's it down is the poor state of decoration and fittings, it could have been so much better. Overall though, it was good value for money.

We went in for a takeaway but whilst we were there the staff were really nice and chatty. I had a great chat with Ingrid.

Was a really good night, food was hot and the wait wasn’t too long. I think it’s difficult to fully rate this place as I’ve been to another all you can eat not far from this place and that was amazing but don’t think people should be put off going here. We have been regular take awayers at Winner City for 19 years.We tried the "all you can eat" fixed price buffet for 2nd time withn family last night and we were pleased to see how busy the restauarnt was, with lots of young willing front of house staff supported no doubt by a bustling kitchen.Service was very good, and we were able to choose a wide variety of dishes- this allowed us to have a much wider range of food than if we had ordered (and shared) individual meals- the only negative is that you have to be much better at self regulating your calorie intake than we were, to avoid over-doing it!All in all a very enjoyable visit, may be a few years before we are ready to go "all in" again

Had booked a table on a Sunday afternoon for a joint birthday celebration with friends. Both service and food was lovely! Crispy Shredded Beef is Amazing!!! All dishes hot and yummy. Deffinatley be returning

Visited here with 4 friends for a birthday celebration having had many lovely meals from here before, we were not disappointed! We opted for the all you can eat menu which is very reasonably priced, not as much choice as the ordinary menu but still plenty of dishes to choose from nonetheless. All food was hot and delicious, the crispy shredded beef in spicy sauce is the best I’ve ever had! They also let us bring our own cake for dessert and provided us with a knife and extra plates for this which was very much appreciated. Service was quick and the ladies who served us were both friendly. Will definitely be returning again!

This is local for us and it is so good to be able to pop down and know it is always going to be good. Staff lovely and we will always come back

Been several times for the all you can eat buffet and not much has changed...if anything the food has got better but the service.... goodness me, Ist time we have ben on a Saturday and the restaurant was busy so they had extra staff that looked like they were on day release from the local school... couldn't have bern older than 16 and clumsy and inept and almost everything that as cleared from our table ended up being dropped..The worse offender was a chinese looking chap who found rude and clumsy beyond possible,,,,, he was unfriendly and unresponsive when asked questions..... he would be better behind closed doors.... on previous visits I have had no problem with the service.......The food however remains superb.... faultless freshly cooked to order and delicious... and of course plentiful and we were fully stuffed by the time we left..... when I booked I was asked if special occasion and I told them it was my mothers 80th..... however no mention if this was made..... I have worked in hotels and catering for much of my life and 50% of the experience is about the welcome and the service which hare on this visit was non existant..... a sham as this established business could be such a better customer experience the food as I say is excellent...everything else needs much improvment

Been to this restaurant many times. There is plenty to choose from and they are all very tasty dishes. We always go on the nights it has “ Eat as much as you like”. They are family friendly.

For years people have said what a lovely place this is, so as our regular place is shut for a holiday we thought we’d give it a try. We had the Set Menu B. Mix Platter, sweet sour chicken, satay Beef and prawns in black bean sauce and fried rice. The whole meal was prompt and hot and quite tasty. The price including small wine and J2O was £42. Quite good at that price. However, we were asked numerous times if we had ordered a drink and what meal we had ordered. We got the idea that they were disorganised. The place was clean and very Chinese. I’d go back but only for the odd change in routine.

Went last night with son well found meal very plain chicken staty was very poor we big eaters these was nibble size sauce not so good we was in resturant far side we had to wait until one would pop up to re order restaurant very dated biggest bug bare we ordered 2 lrg cokes cost 7.20 and out off a bottle nearly flat she told me it was coke cola brand I don't think no sweet included in price looked at price 4.80 each very expensive for a bannana fritter we left it paddy fields in new ollerton far better and just 2.50 extra with including sweet not be going again here

My husband and I went to try out the all you can eat menu and having read the previous reviews, I was fearing the worst! I am happy to say, I was mostly proved wrong. Service was swift although the waitress who showed us to our table was not very communicative and made us feel unwelcome as soon as we arrived, especially as we had not booked. I also saw her watching us constantly from her area to see if we had finished a drink or food. I understand attentiveness but this particular waitress put us on edge. In between this,there were some lovely young waitresses who were really polite and helpful. However I felt like these waitresses were not given the credit they deserve by management and it was these guys who made the experience improve. Forgive me if I am wrong, but I got the feeling that there was competition for tips as it was a case of who can reach our table first. Yet, the group of young waiters/waitresses worked as a team and helped each other out unlike some of the other members of staff. Having read the reviews prior, we did not tip as I was not sure the waitresses would receive it. Whilst their is a culture of money,the food itself was delicious. When we visit again, we going to ensure we are served by someone who makes us welcome from the start as having not visited before, we felt rather nervous about what to expect. Top tip - ensure your all you staff are friendly towards customers as first impressions count!

I was dubious about visiting due to the reviews I read, but I remembered it being nice food on a previous visit (about a year before) I’m glad we “risked” it as it was great

Came here as a group of 6 for a friend's birthday, food was of good quality, not excellent but I've had much worse, however for £17.50 a head I'd expect much better. Service was a little slow based on how quiet they were for a Tuesday night but was overall good and polite.

Very expensive. 2 adults and 1 child for buffet. 6 drinks. 84 pounds. I wouldn't recommend based on the cost. I can't fault the staff though.. Wouldn't visit again though

Have visited this place several times with friend so decided to go with our daughters partners,and grand children .our four year old granddaughter only had a few prawn crackers and a,few chips off of her granddad s plate and we,were charged £8.75 because we were told she had eaten something so please beware,it is,a,total wrip off .The,attitude of the manager is disgraceful and just get the feeling they don't welcome children at all

Had a lovely meal but the night was ruined by the attitude of one individual insisting on us paying a charge of 8.50 for a four year old after putting 2-3 tspoons worth of food onto a plate which she did not eat.We were told that we shouldn't have put the food on the plate in the first place.The absolute rudness & aggression being shown by this person in 'apparent' control was beyond comprehension & not something I have ever encountered before.

We went to winner city for a family meal. We have been here a few times with no problems. and thought that the food was good. Everything was fine until the bill came. my granddaughter who is 4 came with us as a child she didn't like the food we ordered however we put half a chicken satay and one slice of prawn wonton on her plate to try. She ate none of it so we ordered some chips explaining to the manager/owner she isn't going to eat anything and laughingly saying well we tried.' when the bill came they had charged us £9.00 for her food. We politely pointed out that she didn't eat anything and just had the chips. the owner /manager very rudely said there was food on her plate. We explained that she didn't eat it and that was why we had ordered the chips. She and she responded in a very argumentative manner while raising her voice '' IF SHE ISNT GOING TO EAT IT DONT PUT IN ON HER PLATE''! This upset my granddaughter causing her to cry and become upset. As we went to pay the bill at the bar one member of staff was apologizing for what had happened. Then the stupid woman came up and again verbally attacked us, shouting and being incredibly rude !! She ruined a nice family evening! We have been here numerous occasions but will not be coming back !! Avoid this place at all costs !! The owner / manager is rude and obnoxious !

The food is mediocre and not worth the £17.50 each, you would be better of at home and ordering a Chinese from somewhere else would not recommend this place to anybody. The lady I think is the owner was very rude as well

We can here with family, and it’s safe to say the food and service was terrible. We ordered a fish dish for our mains, specifically asking for no ginger in it because my sister is allergic. When the dish arrived we asked again that there was no ginger, and we were told there wasn’t. My sister then ended up having an allergic reaction as there was in fact ginger in the dish. PLEASE BE CAREFUL EATING HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES!!!

Booked in advance for their ‘All you can eat menu’. Turned up at our allocated time only to but put on the standard menu with no form of apologies. Yes the food is good there (we come here 3/4 times a year for special occasions) but I never experience such poor service from their staff on this occasion. Spring water (literally down the road) will be getting our business from now on. Thank you for ruining our New Years Eve. Well done Winner City (Not)!

We call here each time we go to Centre Parcs and are never disappointed £17.50 for all you can eat and all food cooked fresh Excellent freindly service

This restaurant is located in quite a strange location,you will see what I mean if you ever visit.By all accounts it’s been open for quite a number of years,so that certainly says a lot.

Food although not much to choose from was really nice and staff friendly, was going to leave a tip until I saw they charged £9 for 3 half pints of coke and a pint of lemonade. Not sure where they think they are but this certainly would stop us going back. I'm not cheapskate but £3 a pint of lemonade and £2 per half pint of coke, absolutely crazy.

Went recently with family for a Birthday (couldn't get in at Springwater)

Went last Sunday at three pm, whilst passing, as don't live nearby. The Sunday buffet advertised outside at 9.90 drew us in. Was told when we got in that the buffet now finished despite it being advertised as on til four. Full price for all you can eat adult is £17.50 so we opted for a set menu at £13.90 each. The food itself was nice, hot and prompt service. However, we paid the £41 bill (only had two soft drinks) and left. Wasn't until we were home that I realised we'd been charged for the£17.50 all you can eat menu, not for the food we actually had!! Glad we didn't leave a tip, since they got 20% extra off us!

Was supposed to be an all you can eat buffet but most of the trays were empty. We asked for several to be refilled and we had finished before any new food was brought out !!! Only £9.95 which should be good if there was food available. Will not be going back.

My wife had gone out for the day so I decided to have my Sunday lunch at Winner City. It must be two or three years since last visited as we don’t live nearby. I was not disappointed the food was still excellent and reasonably priced. I will be visiting again in the near future.

We eat here regularly and have never had bad food. The staff have always been friendly and the service good. We usually have the all you can eat buffet which has a good selection. Food always comes piping hot and never had to wait long. My only negative is the charge for our 3 year old. He literally had a bowl of boiled rice and one piece of battered chicken and we were charged £8.50 which is a kids all you can eat price. I was quite happy to order the dish as part of my all you can eat and him share but this isn’t allowed. My husband had boiled rice too and he could’ve just had some of that rather than wasting food.

Treat staff like dirt seen this first hand the food was not for human consumption,this as got to be one of the worse restraints Iv been too,please do not leave tips they do not give too the staff,owners keep all tips

The staff are told to hand over all tips to the manager which is fair enough, but these are NOT shared out.

Fantastic all you can eat restaurant. Great tasting food and generous portions from the all you can eat menu. Staff were attentive and food served very quickly. would definitely recommend and will be going back

Eight of us went for my birthday. It does appear to be stepping back into the 70’s but we did have a good evening. The staff seemed to be very young and a bit inexperienced, one of our starters went to another table, but the food was excellent and you keep ordering more as required. This is the second time I’ve been and would definitely recommend it.

Enjoyed 4 great dishes as a takeaway from this lovely restaurant which more than made up for cooking myself for my Fiance and future Father-in-law. I Recommend the Crispy chilli beef and the sweet and sour chicken. Very good, portion size and gorgeous tasting.

Visited last week after almost being put off by some poor reviews.First impressions not promising dowdy almost industrial unit looking building and on entering its like enter the dragon.... very 70.s and dated. The staff are not particularly friendly and welcoming but god are they efficient, drinks were on the table seconds after ordering them and the food was served up so quickly after ordering I was a tad gobsmacked, and the food delicious and piping hot and fresh. We had the eat as much as you can buffet and had 4 starters between the 2 of us... the minced mixed meat with lettuce wraps exceptionally delicious... ribs where the neat fell from the bone... the squid was a bit tough but we ate the lot.... mains we had delicious crispy beef, barbecue pork in oyster sauce a highlight, garlic butter prawns, chicken in lemon sauce, my least favourite dish, like chicken in batter in lemon curd, too sweet for me. noodles with beanshoots and special fried rice which was a bit sticky and claggy to be honest, 4 drinks and £50 for the 2 of us.... a bargain.. will definitely go back again and if the service was a bit more friendly would get a better score Delicious and a surprise as I was expecting the worse,

From the outside it doesn't look inviting but once you're in the staff are really friendly and the food was lovely. My mum loved it.

We stopped going here a few years ago,went back on 12th May for a birthday meal and now we remember why we stopped going,very very rude Owner/Manager had to argue that my mother and father didn't want the buffet as they would not eat £16.50 worth of food,will never go back again.

First visit here and I have never been to an Cantonese restaurant before but the food tasted amazing .Don't be put off by how small it looks from the outside as inside its a lot bigger than you think and creates the most lovely atmosphere, I could taste so many flavours from the food and the service was brill so say it was an Saturday night and they was extremely busy , over all it was better than I expected it to be. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Took some friends here who were staying with us from Wales. We opted for the All you can Eat menu. There were seven of us in the party but you can order only four dishes at a time. I was worried that the portions sizes may not be enough but I needn't have. We had honey chicken wings, peking ribs, spring rolls and satay chicken skewers to start, followed by more ribs, skewers,prawn toast and seaweed. All were absolutely delicious and the plates went back clean. We followed with mains of chicken with pineapple, beef with mushroom, duck in plum sauce and sweet and sour pork hong kong style. We chose special fried rice, egg fried rice and singapore noodles to accompany them and every dish was perfectly cooked. Our friends really enjoyed the food. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were not rushed between courses which was nice. Will definitely dine here again.

Went for an All You Can Eat meal on the 22nd of April, was surprised for it to be much busier than usual. My party was seated as soon as we walked through the door greeted by a lovely smiley face. The waitress kindly took our order and left us with menu's. The drinks did take a while to arrive however this was fully understandable with the big parties and lack of staff. Will say point blank that the two eldest English staff are by far the biggest credit to the restaurant, the young man keeps his cool under the busy circumstances, both manning phone and restaurant, whilst the girl keeps an eye on floor and takes phone orders. Extremely impressed by service, food was great, ribs by far the best I have tasted and the hot chilli pepper chicken was brilliant. The décor inside is dated but its the service I look at, not my surroundings. £3.50 for a pint of lager is overpriced however but you cannot expect cheap drinks with such a good offer of £16.50 all you can eat. Would say a few staff need a lesson in how to approach customers and a little initiative but more experienced staff fully make up for the blunders of the younger. All in all great food, great staff and credit to the English bar/reception staff, never seen such experience on two young heads. WOULD RECCOMEND.

Went for birthday meal (76) with wife son and his wifeWe were served excellent authentic Cantonese banquet cuisine with dry white wine lager and jasmine tea. I should know good Chinese food I worked in Hong Kong a few years back and ate it every day nearly.Well done!!

Food was OK when it eventually arrived.Waited 20 minutes before first drinks came and 40 minutes before first lot of starters.Food was OK but nothing amazing, for the price you pay you could stay at home and order from the local takeaway and have a better meal.No atmosphere, it seats 180 people and there were only 3 waiting staff so was a long wait for the food to come.We were waiting a long time for each meal to arrive.When we asked the waiting staff if they got the tips because we could see that they were working hard, they told us that they didn't and the owners got the tips.We felt sorry for them because they were only young and they never stopped.The lady who I assume was the manager was rude, we asked for more starters and she told us we couldn't order until all the food had gone, we had about 10 chicken wings left and by the time the food would of come they would of gone.The price is £16.50 per person all you can eat but £2 extra per person if you wanted duck. We ordered the duck and there was no way enough for the 10 of us.We ordered mains and it states on the menu that you can only order 4 items at a time. We chose 2 mains, fried rice and chips (extra £2) the young waitress came back saying we could order 2 more mains so we did. When they came the portion sizes were for 1 person not the 10 of us that we assumed.We won't be returning.

Visited with family for my mums birthday and couldn't fault it. Doesn't look much from the outside but don't let that put you off. Inside is spotlessly clean, food delicious and inexpensive and the service was excellent. We took a birthday cake in and they kindly brought it out for us after our meal and played happy birthday.Highly recommend to anyone.

I come for an all you can eat I asked for an all you can eat as I was on my own. she then told me I wasn't aloud because I was on my own. I think it's disgusting her attitude stinks very poor service been told very bad place to eat thought I would try it. Think it's wrong you can't go for food on your own absolutely discussing please I'm advising everyone not to go there it's not nice place paddy fields is the way forward many thanks

I was slightly dubious at the start of the visit due to the exterior of the building but as the old adage goes- do not judge a book by its cover rings true in this instance.I went with a party of four and we went for the buffet option which was 16 pounds ( however we had to pick dishes from menu instead of going to a buffet). We were allowed four dishes each time from either starters or mains though rice and noodles dishes were not included in that allowance in mains section which was fair. Literally all dishes were excellent particularly orange chicken. However it was very filling so there could be a better value in going for the normal menu depending on your appetite! The staff was polite without any problem and it was easy enough to find parking in a large car park on a Friday evening.

The food was average. I would say most of it was deep fat fried. The whole restaurant is in need of a total revamp. Shabby and dated. There was no atmosphere in the place. Bright lights and VERY low music. Poor. Would not go again.Also beware when you order drinks. There are no prices on the menu for drinks. They are very expensive.

Taken here by relatives, friendly staff, good range of dishes available on the Chinese buffet. The eat all you like price is quite high at £16+. The food was tasty and we enjoyed our meal there.

Visited with our two young children and upon entry the decor is very dated and unwelcoming and cheap looking. Already on our table was old brown crackers probably from lunch time. The menu choices are limited in comparison to the spring water. The sauces were very watery and the duck was very dry. Most dishes come Deep fried with batter. Personally we prefer a sizzling steak in Cantonese sauce but even this wasn't on the menu. Service was very slow which is not good with children and we arrived at 17.30 opening time! and when you can eat as much as you like becomes pointless. To be charged over £8 per child is extremely over priced! And risky if they're not keen on the choices. We gave my child one tiny piece of chicken and was told they couldn't sample the food (not even a pineapple from the sauce) unless we paid the £8 and we were watched so closely that it was uncomfortable. One particular young waiter was pleasant but apart from that the rest of the staff didn't break one smile. We left unhappy with a £69 bill and had 3 bottles of larger and hungry children. Wouldn't visit again and wouldn't recommend, especially with children and tables cramped together.

This restaurant is a car journey for most people but worth the effort.The food arrived hot and tasty, it's not expensive and the staff are very attentive.Its a pleasant environment as the tables are not too close together.Suitable for a couple or family treat.

What a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The service was good and the people very pleasant. The food was freshly cooked and succulent. We didn't have to wait long for each course. Each of the children went for half price too.A lovely little place, well worth the price and we'll worth a visit.

Always used to love this restaurant. Heard a few horror stories of upset stomachs from the takeaway but I've always been fine until the last time I visited where I felt incredibly ill after eating in the restaurant with family.

Very good Chinese/Cantonese food. The staff are lovely, I have been coming to this restaurant and have used their take-away for about 20 years and it is always good value. Parking is excellent, the interior could do with a little up-dating but a great place to get Chinese food.

My parent and four friends visited on Saturday evening and said they had one if the best Chinese meals they had in a long time. We had heard negative feedback and they called me first thing to say book for my birthday meal next week as lovely and we won't be disappointed. Portions were generous and sometime too many for the 6 of them, service was great, left long enough to enjoy your food and not bothered constantly. Looking forward to our visit next week

We travel from Manchester especially to eat at winner city. The exterior and interior is not a great selling point but the food, quailty, variety and value have by far surpassed some establishments in Manchester china town and the service is fantastic. The staff are efficient, courteous and are happy to cater for your every whim. If you want smiley smiley stick to the American themed have a nice day restaurants. Have you ever taken the time to speak to the staff? Try it, they are really interesting and kind and caring and yep not always smiley but very efficient. You reep what you sow. And so we will continue to come back and enjoy the good food and hospitality.

Visited at 6.30pm you would have thought food would be fresh and as a well seasoned foodie family we were looking forward to a treat. That did not happen. Was presented with our starters and instantly greeted with a strange smell, soon discovered it was the lettuce, either it had not been washed properly in clean water or it had been left standing in a very warm place for a very long time. When we asked politely if we could have a fresh plate it was taken without question or comment. When it was returned the plate was dropped on the table and the waiter grumbled the words "its the same batch if thats not any better we cant do anything else" in other words we was stuck with it. True it smelled a little better but not fresh. I was shocked by the shear rudeness. I felt very uncomfortable this was noticed by another member of staff who said this has happened before and called for the manageress who apologised, and by the way of compensation she said he would be kept away from our table ?... We were charged full price and i promise never to go back. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Upon Arriving at Winner City we were met by a lovely fellow, Colin who was to be our waiter for the night , What a credit this man is to Winner City and would be a asset to any restaurant!!! Surely some restauranteer will eventually poach Colin and put him in charge of others, to show them how waiting should be done!

Went last night It was a ticket only party / gathering So everyone had the same food Several plates on a table to share Food ..barely anyStarter we all had to tuck in But it worked out at ...two tiny with no filling spring rolls , two triangles with nothin in them and two small ribs tiny yet again , terrible Main we had rice , lemon chicken , crispy beef , black bean chicken and shoots ..on tiny dishes , to share between 8 of us , I'm 8 and a half stone , not a big eater , but I was starving still !! And I got my share , for what it was worth , it was a sad looking ammount in a small bowl to make it seem a lotDRINK. TWO POUNDS FOR A PINT OF SODA WATER , FROM THE PUMP / TAP , SO BASICSLLY WATER The wine was highly overpriced too 16 quid a bottle ...OF HOUSE WINE ! IT was shocking Utter Rip off ! If I hadn't been invited I would never have gone there , and would never go again Dump of a building , overpriced terrible food ! There are a million other places to eat , why would anyone go here !!!!

Lovely stop over after the race's for a proper Chinese meal. We have been going to this restaurant for many years and it's never changed. The food is delicious and good portions. We shared sweet and sour king prawns, special chow mein & wedding rice, which comprises chicken and king prawns. The dishes were very tasty. It's also very good there because they put the dishes hot plate's to keep warm while you are eating. The staff are always friendly and polite. The restaurant it's self is lovely set out table's with proper napkin's. That's what we call a proper restaurant.

I hate seeing bad reviews on trip advisor but there's nothing much to say that's good about the place. We used to visit years ago and it was fantastic. I don't know what's happened but the food is poor, the service is poor and we won't be going again. We decided to go for the buffet and were really disappointed when for 2 of the 4 starters we ordered the duck with pancakes etc (for which you payExtra - no problem with that) and got plenty of duck, cucumber, spring onion and plum sauce but only 5Pancakes. When we asked if weCould have a few more we were told we'd had 6 so someone had eaten 2Stuck together. We aren't morons and we can count. The waiter shouted over his shoulder that we'd have to pay an extra £1 but returned anyway with a bamboo steamer containing a solitary pancake. Customer service at its best. We'd agreed to pay more for the extras butTheyDidn't arrive. The prawn toast was lovely though apparently. There was a lack of organisation and randomly we were approached to ask if our food had arrived by probablyEveryMember of staff at varying pointsOf the time we were there. Drinks were expensive. The Chinese teaWasVery expensive. £92 for dire food, poor service but at least it'll stick in my memory and I won't be tempted to go back again. As others have said, there are some fabulous places to eat very nearby. Our local takeaway for a third of the price does fantastic food, in a timely manner and always with a smile and pleasant chat. It's a no brainer. Next time, I'll be staying in and ordering.

As my regular Sunday carvery restaurant was fully booked (Mothers Day), I decided to try this restaurant instead. The outside is very dated and the inside decor is old fashioned and not in keeping with how Chinese restaurant should look (IMHO). That aside, for £16.99 all you can eat, (best value as mains are around £10 each), there is lots of choice. The salt and pepper ribs were fab, sesame prawn toast was great (not thick and greasy like some restaurants offer). The mains were smaller than normal portions, because you can order as many as you wish. The chicken Kung Po was particularly good. Service was quick. I highly recommend this restaurant for the great food, to enjoy with family and friends, but not if you want to impress someone, as the decor is very old fashioned and the waiters/waitresses (not Chinese), are not smart in appearance, nor customer service savvy.

Went here for a family meal last night for my daughters 18th birthday meal. The food wasn't the best I've had, but ok. Although the service was poor, not one of the staff had a smile they were all very miserable and the wait between each course was too long. I think they all need to work on they're customer service skills! I won't be returning. .

Although this place is not the most attractive from the outside and easy to miss everything inside is a treat! Great fast service and there 16.99 all you can eat is great, food is fresh and really tasty, much better then a serve your self all you can eat with the food being brought to the table everyone can eat together ! I would definitely recommend this place and I'm glad I listened to a family members recommendation and checked it out as I work down the road from here and it's so easily overlooked when you drive past! GO!!

We came hear as a second choice to Springwater Chinese as they are apparently booked up for 2 weeks.We were glad we came here as the fish and duck dishes are very tasty.I personally prefer more spice, hence liking the above restaurant, but this place gives it a run for its money.There is loads of parking and the facilities are clean and seating is spacious, inside felt a little cold but I'm nesh and prefer to be warm all the time.The only bad points and I'm being picky is that the squid was slightly overcooked, we had to wait for service once course was finished and the main course spoon was plastic and not porcelain.Give it a go, you won't be disappointed you will however be ready to burst when your done.
