Great place to watch the world go around with great service

nice atmosphere , with a great selection of wines , we went for the lower priced red and rose which where perfect . Sharing boards and a few more Tapas between 4 of us . Very nice ! we were looked after by friendly staff and to be fair it was very busy . you will need to book a table if you want food as it is a small place .

Couldn't wish for a better place to drink great wine and beer in the village. Friendly staff. Fabulous selection of food. Great place for family and friends to meet up. Highly recommended 👌

Great array of wines, small bar so difficult to get a table unfortunately unless you book or are lucky, prices are on the higher end than usual bars with the same suppliers unfortunately, could benefit from some more low abv and GF beer.

The wine kitchen is perhaps the best place to get some of the last sun in the village while sat out front with a great glass of wine. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable with there being an extensive choice available for all tastes

Fantastic small bar with friendly service. Great choice of wines but also a good selection of beers to keep us all happy. Ordered some nibbles which were delicious. Definitely will be back

I couldn’t recommend The Wine Kitchen highly enough. I wanted 50 bottles of Fashion Victim rosé prosecco for our wedding this summer and found that Michael stocked them. He was so easy to communicate with and sorted the delivery with our venue without us needing to get involved. Communication throughout was great too, something which is much appreciated when organising a large wedding! Would definitely work with The Wine Kitchen again for any party we will have in the future, big for small. Thank you Michael!

Service was super friendly. We were welcomed in and really well looked after. Ate from the tapas menu which was really tasty and the wine options are excellent. Overall a really great vibe and a lovely hang out. Would be really easy to lose an afternoon or an evening here.

Update on earlier review of 2 years ago... Continued excellence at The Wine Kitchen. Sat outside due to Covid on New Year's Eve 2021 for drinks and food for sharing. Wine served with blankets to keep us warm! Thanks it was a splendid way to start the night, as always! Lovely evening spent here Christmas 2019 enjoying great wine, good food and great music ... Usually quite busy but worth seeking out a quieter night ...

The wine kitchen is the most amazing place that transports you to another country and place. The staff are amazing, so friendly and the food is just delicious. Try the sharing boards, they're just amazing. I would highly recommend you take a visit and you'll be delighted. The best place ever. Love it

We love the wine kitchen for a relaxing glass of wine and tasty snack. The platters are great, in fact all the food is great. Service, atmosphere and quality are spot on. And we can take the dog too.

Went out with my sister's for some drinks first time in there and they were superb took the time to walk us through the menu and reccomend cocktails were really accommodating and friendly one member of staff even gave up his taxi for us when ours didn't turn up, lovely experience will definitely be back

We ordered a bottle of wine for delivery this week to go with our slow roasted leg of lamb for Easter lunch. I used the pairing filter on the website to help choose, and wasn't disappointed! It was such a flavoursome and smooth wine that went absolutely perfectly with lamb.Sad that we can't currently while away our afternoons in TWK but this is the next best thing! Thanks all!

I went here for my 50th birthday lunch. We shared a couple of platters with extra scotch eggs (the scotch eggs are the best I've ever tasted). If you get the pallter you get a great bottle of wine at a hugely discounted price.

We dropped in here Friday night for a quick drink before going to the grill next door. First thing to hit you is the noise, wow it’s loud, such a small place with lots of people packed in. But that did make for a cracking atmosphere. Great quick drink and meet up with friends but I couldn’t sit down and eat as it was so busy and really noisy (on a Friday night anyway)

Wine Kitchen, strange logo, looks like a stag, but very clever once you've worked out out. Can be very busy (good sign), can be very quiet (even better). An interesting selection of wines, with some well informed advice. Some by the glass, some only by the bottle. There's also a limited bar snack menu and a couple of really clever sharing boards. Mid week when it's quiet is a great opportunity for a bottle and sharing board offer. Recommended.

It's been a while since we last visited The Wine Kitchen and we were not disappointed. Great atmosphere, brilliant staff and service combined with great wine selection. Really enjoyed being here again.

Another great visit to the Lymm Wine Kitchen on Friday 18th October. Fantastic welcome and service from Kath, Garry and team. Bread boards and Steak platters fab with an excellent choice of cocktails and wines. Looking forward to our next visit.

We went in early evening mid-week for a cheeseboard & wine offer. We’ve been in for drinks numerous times, & I’ve always stared over enviously at anyone who has ordered one of the sharing boards as they always look incredible so been meaning to try out the food forever. We were not disappointed. We got a great helping of three different cheeses, gorgeous chutney & piccalilli, crusty bread & crunchy crackers that we devoured in what felt like seconds. We had fantastic service (unfortunately I didn’t get his name) & he even accommodated my preference for rosé wine rather than red or white advertised in offer - my partner had been in earlier to ask about the deal & he put a bottle of rosé aside to chill for us which was really kind & thoughtful. It’s a great little place, nicely decorated, delicious food, fantastic selection of wines, beers, cocktails etc & the staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be back, I’ve not stopped daydreaming about my cheese feast since!

The friendly efficient service is unbeatable, it doesn’t matter how busy the place gets they always make you feel special. I love the selection of cocktails, gins and especially the sharing boards. I was surprised at all the other dishes available to, apparently prepared in the restaurant to order. Thanks again guys

Called into the wine kitchen after our walk around Lymm Dam. We sat outside in the sun which was nice. We had the mixed meats and cheese sharing platter and it was excellent, the staff were very attentive and quite chatty, I had a bottle or two of the krombach pilsner which was good on a hot day. Would definitely recommend people to try if in the Lymm area.

Passed for a nice glass of wine . Try the Amarone £45 but if you appreciate a good glass of vino worth every penny . Staff are nice and welcoming , however I think I did James’s head in but he didn’t show it ! What a nice engaging young man. Will definitely return in the summer . Thanks guys well done you are a credit to the owners

What a shame, The Wine Kitchen used to be somewhere we looked forward to visiting. It's changed a lot, poor slow service, not the best attitudes from the staff. We visited recently, what a let down, what a shame. It was what lymm needed. We hope they can work on it and bring it back.

Friendly staff, good choice of drinks my only negative is they allow a lot of tables to be booked so not always able to just walk in and have a drink at a table. Very accommodating though. Give it a try

Came here at lunch time hoping for a glass of wine and a nice cheese board. Unfortunately they don’t have a selection of Rosé - just dry so I had a Prosecco instead which was nice. But considering it’s a wine bar I expected a better selection. The cheese board was nice as it had a selection of meats and cheese, but for the cost (£22) it wasn’t worth it. For £22 I’d expect maybe 3 or 4 different cheeses and some crackers and nice bread. However we only got two cheeses and two meats with some thick cut bread which tasted stale. We also got a tiny pot of chutney which just didn’t last for the whole platter. I wouldn’t come here again personally because I think it is too overpriced for what you receive.

Wonderful, dog friendly place with fantastic staff and a fabulous stocked bar with a range of drinks, from wines and fizz to cocktails (my favourite!) It's a lovely place to sit outside in the summer with my Furbabies. But inside it is equally as charming!

Post meeting food and drink here, the platters were really nice, mixture of cheeses, meats, breads etc and service was very good. Well recommended to try if you are in the area.

Great place went there for my sister's engagement enjoyed the atmosphere

Started our evening here with cocktails and the staff were all helpful and personable. Place was pretty heaving as it was a sunny evening after an England win, so drinks were quite slow in coming but that’s a minor gripe. Maybe another member of staff serving would have been good but can’t complain really. Didn’t have any food but heard it’s good.

Great wine list and really good selection of wines available by the glass. Fab gins on offer too, in large glasses with delicious fresh fruit and tons of ice. The brockman’s with blueberries, grapefruit and elderflower tonic was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff too :)

Never actually ate here though they do serve food and there is an attached restaurant.

We haven't eaten here yet, but have been in for drinks and they have an outstanding selection, and great staff. Definitely worth a visit.

First time visit to the Wine Kitchen for pre- and post-meal drinks whilst staying overnight in the area. The Wine Kitchen is a stylish and friendly place in the heart of the village. Very welcoming and attentive service that is clearly appreciated as there were families, young people, couples and our group all having a relaxed and enjoyable time.

Love this place. It's a great place for couples, friends, celebrations of just a quick drink before going out to eat or even early doors!! I have eaten been to the Wine Kitchen several times since it opened and I love the staff - the way they are attentive and know what your favourite tipple is and the nice little touches of a bottle of tap water . Also I have eaten her a couple of time, more recently at the beginning of February where I shared a Meat Platter and a Full baked camembert with my husband. Lots of food and more bread upon request.

My favourite bar , well certainly away from holidays :) They have a brilliant selection of gin and tonics and cocktails

What the village needed. Lovely setup inside, great wines as you expect, some good bottle beers too. Food platters have been great. Visited many times since it opened. Well worth a visit

Been here a number of times for different occasions, with family, friends and as a couple and can honestly say never been disappointed. Friendly helpful staff, great atmosphere, good selection of boards and you can get a really good bottle of wine or if you are like my husband just a simple G&T; will suffice.

Been a few times and always found it over-priced and unnecessarily pretentious. Sarcastic bar staff on a couple of occasions who don't like being told how to make a gin and tonic - call me old fashioned but ice and lemon or lime is fine, cucumber and other veg should be to order!

There is always a great welcome here and a nice warm feeling to the place. The wine selection is excellent and can cater for all tastes. Service is super friendly and efficient. Sitting in and taking away the wine & beer is brilliant. Glassware is modern and sparkling clean. I've eaten here 3 times now and I would say the food is just adequate. They'd benefit from some artisan suppliers in my opinion. The scotch egg and the humus tasted like they were sourced straight from Sainsbury's across the road. Edging past several smokers in the doorway is a no-no too and they should be discouraged. Four stars, would be five, if the food was notched up.

I have lived in the south of France for nearly 40yrs and enjoyed all that Provence has to offer food wise,so on entering the wine kitchen l wasn’t expecting to be eating some of the best tasting food l have ever tasted.service great ,wine delicious,ambiance just right.well done,hopefully will be back

Chose to come here for pre-drinks before going for our work Christmas meal at Flavours because this bare is literally underneath the restaurant which made it very convenient. The bar itself isn't overly big but has a cozy feel to it, the staff are very friendly and they even have a waiter service so you don't need to go to the bar to order your drinks. The drink menu itself is extensive so even the pickiest of people would be able to find a few different things to choose from. We were only in there for 45 minutes but I would definitely go to this bar again and would gladly recommend it to anyone.

I often visit the Wine Kitchen with friends after a meal out in Lymm. There is a great drinks selection, and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. It has a great atmosphere, and is a brilliant place to finish a nice evening out.

A small wine bar in the centre of Lymm village with a selective food menu of fresh food and sharing platters. It was very busy and noisy but the staff were great and very attentive. The selection of gins was excellent and fun and the food, we had 2 sharing platters was a good accompliment to the drinks. Not a cheap night out but excellent value for money. Can recommend.

Sold out and for a reason! Excellent wines, excellent value for an evening out and fantastic food also provided as part of the wine tasting evening. I believe these fine tasting evenings are every 3 weeks. Fantastic!

We live in Derbyshire and came to Lymm for a day out. We have been many times before and after turning down 2 grotty pubs, we just carried on to the heart of Lymm and discovered The Wine Kitchen opposite The Cross.

I frequent this wine bar every month...always finding an excuse to visit. It is a reasonably priced establishment with a wide selection of wines and delicious food to accommodate every taste. The staff are very knowledgeable and so friendly and the atmosphere ranges from intimate on a weeknight to lively on a weekend. Highly recommended ☺

One of the best wine bars yet! Called in with my husband for a glass of wine as we were staying in Lymm for the weekend. We loved it so much that we stayed longer than anticipated and decided to have one of the platters. It was beautiful and plentiful, so much so, that we couldn't eat it all!! The remainder was boxed for us and we sat later on the canal bank watching the narrow boats pass for the Lymm Festival and finished the rest of the food.

Our 2nd visit since it opened... If only we could go more! Went with my wife for a quiet night out. The waitress was lovely. Really familiar style of service but not over-familiar. Made me feel like we were friends! Love the food, atmosphere and wine.

Wow, what a find. Fantastic selection of wine and gins, as well as excellent cocktails. The manager Gary was a superb host, very knowledgable about the wine and ensured impeccable customer service all evening, explaining the wine choices, great attention to detail. The food platters are also delicious! We will definitely be back soon and recommend to all.

I was recommended The Wine Kitchen by family so I booked a table, which proved to be a good idea. The array of local food and drink that was on offer was fantastic. Although it was a busy evening, Gary still took the time to explain a little about the drinks histories and also making sure everything was ok with the meal. We ordered a sharing platter which was absolutely jam packed and arrived very quickly. The atmosphere was very friendly indeed and although their was music playing, it wasn't too loud as to hinder conversation. I'm a great fan of businesses that promote local produce and customer service that isn't 'overbearing'. These guys certainly ticked those boxes. They also have taster evenings which I look forward to checking out. Would I return? definitely, would I invite others? absolutely.
