Went with a group of 7 and a dog, pub was busy. Great service from the landlord and landlady, very welcoming and chatty. We had the 2 for £20 burger meals which were great especially the stacker.

A very unexpected surprise for a Sunday lunch. Nice people and a smart pub. I sat to read the menu and thought, mmmmm has a nice spin on a few things. I just hoped that the food would be good. It was fantastic. Several vegetables with a hint of different flavours. Very subtle and delicately done. I eat everything. But my other half not! Cabbage no. Yet he ate it. Celeriac no he ate that too. Horseradish purée! Cauliflower cheese! He ate the lot. Beef was beautiful and tasty. From Priors so no surprise there, cooked perfectly. Fresh Yorkshire pudding. This was all served beautifully. We didn’t have desert as we had no room. But we saw the presentation. Please give this place a visit! 5 ⭐️

Booked a table here for Norfolk Restaurant Week & enjoyed a three course meal. All dishes were delicious (celeriac soup, the chicken, the pork and apple cinnamon tart) & we left feeling full. We were impressed with the serving sizes and the amount of vegetables served. The service was also really appreciated as the staff were welcoming and friendly.

We have been coming here since new owners Robbie and Anita took over, and each time we have had a meal it has been good quality food each time, it is a good place to go for a good pub lunch and a drink in the beer garden in the lovely sunshine. Stopped with family to have a Sunday roast, the pub has been done up and looks much improved but the food has to be some of the worst I’ve eaten. We all had different meats from the choice of turkey, beef, or pork, visually you could tell the difference and it had no taste at all. Very disappointed

Myself and fiancé went on Sunday for the Sunday roast and we were impressed by the new look and food. We had a starter which was a nice size for two people and well presented. For the main we had the all meat roast dinner which came as a large portion but it did not compromise on quality at all. The staff were friendly and helpful and we will be looking to go back again soon to try the rest of the menu.

We stopped her for lunch to break up the journey to Thursford. The pub was full of tradesman when were entered, I’m not critical of tradesman (my husbands one) but it’s clearly a place to stop for a pint after work/ at lunch. We all had lunch, a mixture of sandwiches, burgers, toasties. The food was okay, I wouldn’t rush back, just average pub grub. The place desperately needs a refurb, dry shabby and tired. The toilets were freezing, not ideal when you’ve got a nappy to change!

We stopped off at the Wildfowler for Sunday Carvery with our family. The pubs decor look very traditional do not expect a fancy restaurant, but it was clean and tidy. We had a very warm welcome and the food was excellent at a very good price. They do a child's size portion. The adult potion size was generous and very nice vegetables too. There was a small play area for the children, swings and slide this could do with an update as it was look old we some parts broken. A nice clean and tidy pub. I would recommend this pub.

So i rang on Saturday the 13th July to book in for a roast lunch for my family of 7. I spoke to a man who gave me the prices, took my booking for 12.30, took my name. So Sunday is here my family of 7 are getting ready for lunch, looking forward to it. We arrive to be told we had rang a different place to book, so while we was there we phoned the other place and they said they they dont serve food we could tell somthing wasnt right i asked for there card, well hang on i rang the same number off there card....i then get told i didn't ring them at all. A few minutes later we relise the chap who we spike to is the owner amd the landlady goes and speaks to him again about the booking suddenly they offer us 7 free carvery for next weekend but why if they didn't take the booking???? We got turned away as didn't have enough food for us at 12.30. We get home disappointed to check my phone call log to see it was them that i rang and booked the table with. My partner then rang them back the land lady answered he said he had checked the call log and it was this number land lady was very rude and reading previous comments this is a regular occurrence so after many excuses she proceeds to tell me it was a customer that answered the phone and took a booking ok so a customer went behind the bar and answered the phone took a booking on a Saturday afternoon what a joke then went on to say my partner must have just asked for prices she was very cocky in regards of she didn't need our business in her words her clientell keep her till toped up my partner runs a successful business and is not shocked by the fact someone forgetting to put a name in the book but the out right not taking responsibility turning away 5 children and two adults and the landlords rudeness smugness is a embarrasment to any family that is just going out together no people skills and not once and honestly not once did they knowledge there mistake or even utter the words sorry and they will say they offered us a free carvery FOR NEXT TIME like i would come back I will leave it with this My partner asked her if she is happy with what has transpired today she said no because she didn't wake up this morning to turn away 7 heads for food because business at the moment ain't to great well i wonder why i wouldnt recommend this place to my ex and her dog Stay away

Booked a private party The female who I'm guessing is landlady is just so rude! Moaned saying she only lets the room for 30 people but was more than happy to take £200 for 20 people. £10 a head for state food. Decided to shout at the person celebrating their birthday on many occasions - for walking into the room, for not knowing the ingredients to the cake! Moaned at myself for going to the bar twice! Had another shouting session at people in the group asking if she's cooking because the food was stale they wanted food! Had to ask 4 times before she got up. She hates money I think. Walked into the party to start cleaning people's tables without even asking. But then a landlady wearing a tracksuit & slippers what do you expect. The landlord was pleasant luckily. But for future reference if you read this don't moan because people are buying drinks that is keeping your pub open you need customers! Please start dressing presentable your trying to run a business. Oh and learn some manners you are rude & acted so unprofessional.

In this day and age what business owners/managers of a food establishment go holiday in the school holidays with NO kitchen staff to cover them.... Businesses that wish to fail and that is what wildfowler want to do. We were visiting a family member in hospital & needed somewhere close to the hospital to get her out to for some respite. After a walk from the hospital to the pub we were told the chef was on holiday & kitchen would reopen on Thursday. We pointed out that the board outside the pub advertised Sunday roast & perhaps they should remove it. To give our relative a change of scene before we walked back to the hospital, we decided to buy a drink. BIG mistake. Extortionate prices for 6 drinks & £1 for a normal sized packet of smiths chip sticks!!!! £1, they weren't even kettle crisps. Filthy table, my husband asked for a cloth that was bone dry & ended uo in the gents wetting the cloth in the basin. Filthy, rubbish strewn & very neglected garden. If it hadn't beem for the fact we had pushed a wheelchair user 20 minites in the hope of Sunday lunch outside of the hospital after a 3 week stay we would habe left The Wild Fower' like everyone else who was looking for lunch. I would be surprised if the chef has a job to come back too. Utter, utter shambles. Perhaps removing the sign advertising food or a notice over the food advertising? i was brought up in a pub so if you would like any advice on how not to ruin your business please ask....

Had my Dads Wake here today and I must say that I was shock on how we were treat by the barmaid! We booked this place and we were the only party in today, with drink being brought via the bar, we paid for a finger Buffett and Teas and Coffees, but we run out of cups and when we asked for more cups we were told that we couldn't have any more cup as they were not paid for! What a joke! We paid for all the food and hot drinks and to get told we couldn't have anymore cups despite having lots of tea, coffee, milk and hot water left! For those of us who were driving and drinking alcohol this is not the way to run a business. Then to top it off the party sausage rolls still had raw pastry and could not be eaten. If this is how you treat customer who service your bar then you will not be in business much longer, we were thinking about coming back for a meal but we will forget that idea and find somewhere else for our party of 30 to go

Summery: avoid When we arrived there were a few people at the bar and we waited our turn as we were waiting a load of men who seemed to be regulars to the pub as they were talking to everyone walked in front of us. The staff had seen us come in before them but still served these first anyway. We thought we were in luck when we saw the cavery area was empty. But the reason it was empty was because the food was just awful.First there was just the choice between two meats, beef and gammon. The gammon was so salty it was inedible and likewise for the beef which was so chewy I actually couldn't swallow it. We were then handed plates so hot the napkins weren't enough and we had to put them down. There were three veg all hard, some roasties that were raw in the middle but some how burnt on the outside. Yorkshire puddings that resembled the small frozen tesco value ones. No way we're they fresh never mind high quality frozen ones. The stuffing was drive and hard. The gravy was water with food colouring in it at a guess as it was so thin and weak it had no taste or stature. The whole thing was left on my plate and I went home to eat a pot noodle as the meal was £8 each not including the drinks. We weren't thanked for our custom, we weren't asked if we enjoyed the meal as we paid afterward the staff said nothing to us at all and we left. We live down the street and won't be returning not even for drinks. I'm all about supporting local businesses but the place was just dire! Don't waste your Sunday or your money!

We tried out The Wildfowler as a possible place to meet a couple of friends later in the month. There's a lot of space in the pub so you don't feel crowded. The menu is limited but there were a couple of dishes that we felt suited our tastes and dietary requirements - coeliac and dairy free. The food was served quickly and the portions were generous. A plus point on the salad that came with the chargrilled chicken was that it was free from peppers and onions. There was also plenty of it and no sign of iceberg lettuce. We didn't try the coffee although we wished we had as the smell of it as we were leaving was quite appetising. At £20 for two mains and two mineral waters, we didn't think it was bad value. There's nothing fancy about the place but for a reasonably priced bit of lunch it's worth a visit.

The new owners of the Wildfowler in King's Lynn don't seem to be blessed with the social graces of running a pub, I visited recently with my wife, and she asked the rather disinterested man behind the bar advise on a wine... his reply was "I don't know, I don't drink the stuff!" (yeah, very helpful!). During the New Year's Eve Party the buffet was brilliant and the disco was epic, just a pity our friend behind the bar was having trouble adding up! oh... and did you know, you can get a "Jägerbomb" without the "Bomb"? You can at the Wildfowler!!!In conclusion: The location is great, the carvery is great, the service sucks! We'll be waiting for a change of management before we return!!!

After reading in the local paper that there was now new owners, I thought it would be worth trying it again. Myself and my two children (11 and 13) popped in a a Friday early evening. The place is well decorated and has plenty of tables so looked nice. The customers in there were mainly scattered around the bar area so had the feeling of a drinkers pub as well as a food pub. After ordering drinks and food we sat down and noticed nobody else eating. The food arrived in good time. I had steak pie and vegetables, the vegetables were dry, the crust on the pie was dry but soggy in the centre and the gravy had a thick skin and I'm guessing been heated through in the microwave. My son had ham, egg and chips, the ham was cheap packet ham. My daughter had a child's meal of hot dog, chips and beans served on a small plastic plate, the hot bun was served with it sitting in the beans so couldn't be picked up and was soggy. It looked like an under fives type meal… my daughter looked a bit embarrassed when it was served to her like this!We were all disappointed and it's a shame the food was this bad as there aren't many places in the evening in kings Lynn where you can go with your children off a meal. They are missing a big potential here, so the food needs to be much better! Sorry, but won't be back.

Took advantage of KLFM's sale voucher just before Xmas and purchased a £5 voucher that equalled £25 worth of food. Hubby and I spent the afternoon bowling and visited for evening meal before going home. 5pm - All very quiet, VERY quiet and this immediately concerned me, however, I was proved incorrect. Our food was ordered at the counter, as requested, and the drinks were added to our 'tab'. Staff were friendly and approachable and eager to please. We arrived an hour before our actual table was booked and this didn't concern them at all. They welcomed us in and invited to find our chosen table. We ambled over to our table (chosen from several available and in the centre of the room - so often tables for two get shoved in the corner, but not in this pub/restaurant) and our steak dinner's were bought to us after around 15 or so minutes. Cooked to perfection and as requested, we were impressed at the presentation and the steak melted in the mouth. Now I hate chips and so asked for extra a salad which I received. It was clear as much thought had gone into my additional salad as the rest of the dish, as I was given extra peppers and coleslaw, which my husband (who eats chips) didn't get on this plate. The onion rings were clearly home made and not pre frozen and were crisp and well battered, although a little on the oily side for me but prefect according to my husband! Hot and inviting, we cleared our plates! Totally stuffed, we opted for ice cream for pudding and although probably not home made, was delicious and well presented. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit the Wildfowler and add this among my favourites of Kings Lynn Pub/restaurants. Thank you, we will return .

After passing the Wildfowler many times on my regular visits to the QE hospital, I made the decision to have Sunday lunch there. After waiting half an hour my microwave dinner arrived. Won't be stopping again!!!

Good to see the wildflower open again, very nice deco inside, friendly helpful staff, and a good choice of wines and beers. We have not eaten there but it does seem to be a good choice of food.Dog friendly in the beer garden,

We visited the Wildfowler (though it is currently listed here as incorrectly as The WildFLOWER) on a weekday. The pub was relatively quiet and we chose to sit outside. The menu consist of typical pub grub with lots of things served with chips. I chose ham & pickle baguette. The service was quick and staff polite. The sandwich was ok but did consist of packet ham rather than proper ham and the pickle was a bit tasteless. For £4+ I would have expected more. The interior has been done out well and it is very clean. They also do little activity bags for kids with pencils, paper etc which is a lovely touch. I think the garden area would benefit from a gate for just to make it safer for children which they are clearly trying to cater for. I think with a few improvements to the quality of the food this pub could be a lovely place to dine.

We visited The Wildflower in May as our friends are the new Landlord & Landlady. Not being bias, but the food was lovely. The main menu has about a dozen main dishes, which are a variety, from Steak, to Chicken Curry etc.On the first night of our visit we had the Steak & Chips, with Salad and a large mushroom and after our 5 hour journey to get to Kings Lynn, it was delish! The second day I had the Chicken Curry (which was made from scratch), served with rice, mini nann bread and some mini popadoms and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!My husband and children had the Traditional Fish and Chips, with mushy peas and he said it was fresh and very tasty. The pub itself is recently renovated and is a pleasure to be in. The décor' is fresh and welcoming. :)Pete & Nicola the Landlord and Landlady are a lovely couple and I wish them the best in their new venture.x

Took my elderly mother shopping today, I went to the wash room... it was filthy. Smelly with urine all over the floor and paneling missing from the walls.
