Great quiche and salads- filling and wholesome and tasty! Good coffee too. Cheap option is jacket potato. Always another cooked veggie option. Best veggie food for miles

Fabulous home cooked food. Good sized portions. Very busy which to me is a good sign. My partner said the only downside was the coffee tasted stale.

We found this lovely cafe today on a trip through Llanidloes on our way home from a week in Wales and had the BEST meal of our entire holiday at this cafe! We had a delicious leek, mushroom and hazelnut pie topped with filo with choice of two salads on the side and it was sooooo good. We can't recommend this cafe enough you'd be mad to miss it if you are passing by!

Came in for a light bite at 11, but as I am wheat free the only option was toast or cake. No fruit, crisps. Nice coffee, but ended up going to a petrol station for food!

The first time we have visited since the cafe reopened for what was supposed to be a coffee and cake (next time!). Ended up being tempted by the days specials and throughly enjoyed every bite! The cafe is very clean and tidy, the staff very helpful and kind. Would recommend to those staying and travelling through to stop here.

First wow: beautiful looking cafe with gorgeous rear courtyard garden. Second wow: amazing quality and variety of vegetarian/vegan food. Best I've ever had by a country mile! Unbelievable value for money. Third wow;: had a lovely chat with Will the owner. It's easy to see why the food is so good with an owner so passionate about making fantastic food. You have to eat here. Even if you are not vegan or veggie, you will love it!

Super lunch spot: amazing staff, fantastic food and a lovely environment. Will is a real star, offering recipes and advice on cooking them. The food was outstanding and the gluten-free sticky ginger cake was to die for!

So pleased this cafe has opened again and that it was open today, a bank holiday Monday. We call in on our journey between South and North Wales regularly for delicious salads and cake.

Beautiful, nutritious food in a pleasant, friendly, clean environment. The garden at the back is a pretty spot to sit if you have a dog. You won't leave hungry.

The Great Oak was a favourite for many, many years - a veggie/vegan oasis in the heart of Mid-Wales. For me it was the heart of Llani. At the end of a five hour drive the coffee and food were the inducement to miss out motorway services and plough on. It's closure in December '22 was so upsetting. But it's back - joy! Reborn as the Wild Oak it offers the same delicious and wholesome food in relaxing and welcoming surroundings. It's real food too. As veggies and vegans it can be difficult to avoid processed offerings on long journeys or to less thoughtful establishments. There is a good range of options from light lunches to more substantial meals, with the possibility of tarnishing the halo from the selection of cakes and treats. The influences range from Cranks across the globe to India and beyond. Wheelchair access was a necessity for us and that was adequately accommodated. A ramp for the front step might avoid having to go round the back. We were also able to have our dog sitting quietly under the table. We couldn't have asked for a more inclusive and rewarding experience. Long may the Wild Oak thrive.

This is an amazing place. I'm not a vegetarian but I loved the food, the decor and the staff. The garden part is a gem. If you're within 20 miles of this place, go and visit it.

The old Great Oak Cafe is now open under new management with a new name and great Vegan/Vegetarian food. The vegan cakes are delicious! I especially recommend the coffee and walnut and the chocolate. The cafe also has a lovely garden at the back where you can eat out in good weather.

Visited whilst on a trip from Liverpool. Lovely old country pub with a warm welcome and great locals. Get in early to get Infront of the open fire.
